Fine-grained sedimentary rocks have become a research focus as important reservoirs and source rocks for tight and shale oil and gas.Laminae development determines the accumulation and production of tight and shale oil and gas in fine-grained rocks.However,due to the resolution limit of conventional logs,it is challenging to recognize the features of centimeter-scale laminae.To close this gap,complementary studies,including core observation,thin section,X-ray diffraction(XRD),conventional log analysis,and slabs of image logs,were conducted to unravel the centimeter-scale laminae.The laminae recognition models were built using well logs.The fine-grained rocks can be divided into laminated rocks(lamina thickness of0.1 m)according to the laminae scale from core observations.According to the mineral superposition assemblages from thin-section observations,the laminated rocks can be further divided into binary,ternary,and multiple structures.The typical mineral components,slabs,and T2spectrum distributions of various lamina types are unraveled.The core can identify the centimeter-millimeter-scale laminae,and the thin section can identify the millimeter-micrometer-scale laminae.Furthermore,they can detect mineral types and their superposition sequence.Conventional logs can identify the meter-scale layers,whereas image logs and related slabs can identify the laminae variations at millimeter-centimeter scales.Therefore,the slab of image logs combined with thin sections can identify laminae assemblage characteristics,including the thickness and vertical assemblage.The identification and classification of lamina structure of various scales on a single well can be predicted using conventional logs,image logs,and slabs combined with thin sections.The layered rocks have better reservoir quality and oil-bearing potential than the massive and laminated rocks.The laminated rocks’binary lamina is better than the ternary and multiple layers due to the high content of felsic minerals.The abovementioned results build the prediction model for multiscale laminae structure using well logs,helping sweet spots prediction in the Permian Lucaogou Formation in the Jimusar Sag and fine-grained sedimentary rocks worldwide. 展开更多

The aim of this study was to retrospectively investigate the outcomes of patients who underwent one-stage onlay or inlay urethroplasty using a lingual mucosal graft (LMG) after failed hypospadias repairs. Inclusion criteria included a history of failed hypospadias repair, insufficiency of the local skin that made a reoperation with skin flaps difficult, and necessity of an oral mucosal graft urethroplasty. Patients were excluded if they had undergone a failed hypospadias repair using the foreskin or a multistage repair urethroplasty. Between January 2008 and December 2012, 110 patients with failed hypospadias repairs were treated in our center. Of these patients, 56 underwent a one-stage onlay or inlay urethroplasty using LMG. The median age was 21.8 years (range: 4-45 years). Of the 56 patients, one-stage onlay LMG urethroplasty was performed in 42 patients (group 1), and a modified Snodgrass technique using one-stage inlay LMG urethroplasty was performed in 14 (group 2). The median LMG urethroplasty length was 5.6 ± 1.6 cm (range: 4-13 cm). The mean follow-up was 34.7 months (range: 10-58 months), and complications developed in 12 of 56 patients (21.4%), including urethrocutaneous fistulas in 7 (6 in group 1, 1 in group 2) and neourethral strictures in 5 (4 in group 1, 1 in group 2). The total success rate was 78.6%. Our survey suggests that one-stage onlay or inlay urethroplasty with LMG may be an effective option to treat the patients with less available skin after failed hypospadias repairs; LMG harvesting is easy and safe, irrespective of the patient's age. 展开更多

This study investigated the feasibility of replacing urinary epithelial cells with oral keratinocytes and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)small interfering RNA(siRNA)-transfected fibroblasts seeded on bladder acellular matrix graft(BAMG)in order to reconstruct tissue-engineered urethra.Constructed siRNAs,which expressed plasmids targeting TGF-β1,were transfected into rabbit fibroblasts.The effective siRNA was screened out by RT-PCR and was transfected into rabbit fibroblasts again.Synthesis of type I collagen in culture medium was measured by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA).Autologous oral keratinocytes and TGF-β1 siRNA-transfected fibroblasts were seeded onto BAMGs to obtain a tissue-engineered mucosa.The tissue-engineered mucosa was assessed morphologically and with the help of scanning electron microscopy.The TGF-β1 siRNA decreased the expression of fibroblasts synthesis type I collagen.Oral keratinocytes and TGF-β1 siRNA-transfected fibroblasts were seeded onto sterilized BAMG to obtain a tissue-engineered mucosa for urethral reconstruction.The compound graft was assessed using scanning electron microscope.Oral keratinocytes and TGF-β1 siRNA-transfected fibroblasts had a good compatibility with BAMG.The downregulation of fibroblasts synthesis type I collagen expression by constructed siRNA interfering TGF-β1 provided a potential basis for genetic therapy of urethral scar.Oral keratinocytes and TGF-β1 siRNA-transfected fibroblasts had good compatibility with BAMG and the compound graft could be a new choice for urethral reconstruction. 展开更多

We present an analysis of the metallicity and star formation activities of H II regions in the interacting system Arp 86, based on the first scientific observations using mulri-object spectroscopy with the 2.16 m telescope at the Xinglong Observing Station. We find that the oxygen abundance gradient in Arp 86 is flatter than that in normal disk galaxies, which confirms that gas inflows caused by tidal forces during encounters can flatten the metallicity distributions in galaxies. The companion galaxy NGC 7752 is currently experiencing a galaxy-wide starburst with a higher star for- marion rate surface density than the main galaxy NGC 7753, which can be explained in that the companion galaxy is more susceptible to the effects of interaction than the primary. We also find that the galaxy 2MASX J23470758+2926531 has similar abun- dance and star formation properties to NGC 7753, and may be a part of the Arp 86 system. 展开更多

The Coude Echelle Spectrograph(CES)was originally mounted on Xinglong 2.16 m telescope in 1994.When the High Resolution Fiber-fed Spectrograph(HRS)was commissioned at Xinglong 2.16 m telescope,the red path of CES was moved to Lijiang 1.8 m telescope,following some redesign and reinstallation.The CES of Lijiang 1.8 m telescope has the spectral resolution(R=λ/?λ)ranging from 20000 to 50000 corresponding to different slit widths.With a 2 k×2 k PI CCD,CES has a wavelength coverage between 570 nm to 1030 nm.In particular,the resolution of 37000 at 0.5 mm slit corresponds to 1.3′′on the sky.The limiting magnitude is V=11.5 with the use of the tip-tilt feedback system,and the S/N is about 40 for 1 hour exposure at 600 nm(R=37000).During the installation of CES,the tip-tilt mirror technology had successfully fulfilled high precision guiding and tracking for high resolution spectral observation and significantly improved the observation efficiency. 展开更多

With the development of unconventional hydrocarbon, how to improve the shale oil and gas recovery become urgent. Therefore hydraulic fracturing becomes the key due to the complicated properties of the reservoirs. The pore structure not only plays an essential role in the formation of complex fracture networks after fracturing but also in resource accumulation mechanism analyses. The lacustrine organicrich shale samples were selected to carry out petrophysical experiments. Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) and X-ray Diffraction were performed to elucidate the geology characteristics. MICP, 2D NMR, CT,and N2adsorption were conducted to classify the pore structure types. The contribution of pore structure to oil accumulation and hydrocarbon enrichment was explained through the N2adsorption test on the original and extracted state and 2D NMR. The results show that micropores with diameter less than20 nm are well-developed. The pore structure was divided into three types. Type Ⅰ is characterized by high porosity, lower surface area, and good pore throat connectivity, with free oil existing in large pores,especially lamellation fractures. The dominant nano-pores are spongy organic pores and resources hosted in large pores have been expelled during high thermal evolution. The content of nano-pores(micropores) increases and the pore volume decreases in Type Ⅱ pore structure. In addition, more absorbed oil was enriched. The pore size distribution of type Ⅱ is similar to that of type Ⅰ. However, the maturity and hydrocarbon accumulation is quite different. The oil reserved in large pores was not expelled attributed to the relatively low thermal evolution compared with type Ⅰ. Structural vitrinite was observed through SEM indicating kerogen of type Ⅲ developed in this kind of reservoir while the type of kerogen in pore structure Ⅰ is type Ⅱ. Type Ⅲ pore structure is characterized by the largest surface area,lowest porosity, and almost isolated pores with rarely free oil. Type Ⅰ makes the most contribution to hydrocarbon accumulation and immigration, which shows the best prospect. Of all of these experiments,N2adsorption exhibits the best in characterizing pores in shales due to its high resolution for the assessment of nano-scale pores. MICP and NMR have a better advantage in characterizing pore space of sandstone reservoirs, even tight sandstone reservoirs. 2D NMR plays an essential role in fluid recognition and saturation calculation. CT scanning provides a 3D visualization of reservoir space and directly shows the relationship between pores and throats and the characteristics of fractures. This study hopes to guide experiment selection in pore structure characterization in different reservoirs. This research provides insight into hydrocarbon accumulation of shales and guidance in the exploration and development of unconventional resources, for example for geothermal and CCUS reservoirs. 展开更多

The reservoired petroleum fluids in the deep Ordovician carbonates in the Tazhong area,Tarim Basin,exhibit diverse and intricate geochemical properties and petroleum phases.However,the study on the causal mechanisms for the genesis of co-existed complex petroleum phases and their distribution remains relatively limited.The quantitative assessment of changes in molecular compounds in petroleum pools influenced by secondary alteration to different degrees also needs further investigation.In this study,eight samples including condensate,volatile,and black oil from the Tazhong area were analyzed via GC×GC-TOFMS.The results reveal that condensate oil exhibits complete normal alkane distribution,with abundant diamantanes and organic sulfur compounds(OSCs),and features high density(>0.83 g/cm3),elevated wax content(>20%),and remarkable gas washing loss.The condensate gas is characterized by highly mature oil-cracking gas with a heavy carbon isotope.Geological analysis indicates that the current Ordovician reservoir temperatures generally remain below 140℃,which is insufficient to induce in-situ oil cracking.Additionally,black oil pools are formed adjacent to the condensate gas pools,suggesting that the latter is not a result of in-situ oil cracking,but rather represents a secondary condensate gas pool formed through gas invasion of a pre-existed oil pool.Based on the loss of n-alkanes and variations in adamantanes(As)and diamantanes(Ds)content across different oil samples,the degree of gas invasion was assessed.We divided gas invasion intensity into strong(Q≥80%,As≥5000μg/g,Ds≥400μg/g),weak(20%≤Q<80%,3000μg/g≤As<5000μg/g,200μg/g≤Ds<400μg/g)and negligible(0≤Q<20%,As<3000μg/g,Ds<200μg/g).The multistage oil/gas charging events,specifically the sequence of“early oil and late gas”in the Ordovician from the Tazhong area,predominantly drives the phase evolution of reservoired petroleum.Furthermore,differential gas invasion alteration exacerbates the intricacy of petroleum phase distribution.Notably,gas washing processes significantly influence the disparate enrichment of diamondoids homologues in crude oil.Specifically,lower carbon number diamondoids are more abundant in condensate oil,while higher ones exhibit relatively increased abundance in black oil,potentially serving as a valuable quantitative assessment parameter.The findings in this study will provide guiding significance for the analysis and quantitative assessment of deep petroleum phase diversity.Additionally,this research will provide novel insights for comprehensively evaluating basins worldwide with complex petroleum phases distribution. 展开更多

In authors’ previous work [Mater. Charact. 141 (2018) 212-222]. it was found that the heterogeneous deformed microstructures can be replaced by the relatively homogeneous recrystallized grains through an annealing treatment. However, there are still some relatively large recrystallized grains. To find the reasons for the formation of large grains, some new annealing treatment tests were done, and the cellular automation (CA) simulations were carried out in the present work. The experimental results showed that the microstructural evolution during annealing treatment is significantly affected by the content of S phase. So. the effects of δ phase on the nucleation and growth of grains are carefully considered in the CA model to accurately simulate the microstructural evolution behavior. By the CA simulation, it is found that the dislocation density rapidly decreases due to the nucleation of static recrystallization (SRX) and the growth of dynamc recrystallization (DRX) nuclei at the early stage of annealing. The high initial dislocation density provide the high velocity for the growth of DRX nuclei, which is responsible for the formation of coarse grains, However, the growth rate of SRX nuclei is relatively small due to the low dislocation density and pinning effects of δ phase. 展开更多

Core,thin section,conventional and image logs are used to provide insights into distribution of fractures in fine grained sedimentary rocks of Permian Lucaogou Formation in Jimusar Sag.Bedding parallel fractures are common in fine grained sedimentary rocks which are characterized by layered structures.Core and thin section analysis reveal that fractures in Lucaogou Formation include tectonic inclined fracture,bedding parallel fracture,and abnormal high pressure fracture.Bedding parallel fractures are abundant,but only minor amounts of them remain open,and most of them are partly to fully sealed by carbonate minerals(calcite)and bitumen.Bedding parallel fractures result in a rapid decrease in resistivity,and they are recognized on image logs to extend along bedding planes and have discontinuous surfaces due to partly-fully filled resistive carbonate minerals as well as late stage dissolution.A comprehensive interpretation of distribution of bedding parallel fractures is performed with green line,red line,yellow line and blue line representing bedding planes,induced fractures,resistive fractures,and open(bedding and inclined)fractures,respectively.The strike of bedding parallel fractures is coinciding with bedding planes.Bedding parallel fractures are closely associated with the amounts of bedding planes,and high density of bedding planes favor the formation of bedding parallel fractures.Alternating dark and bright layers have the most abundant bedding parallel fractures on the image logs,and the bedding parallel fractures are always associated with low resistivity zones.The results above may help optimize sweet spots in fine grained sedimentary rocks,and improve future fracturing design and optimize well spacing. 展开更多

The uniform refinement mechanisms and methods of deformed mixed and coarse grains inside a solution-treatment Ni-based superalloy during two-stage annealing treatment have been investigated.The two-stage heat treatment experiments include an aging annealing treatment(AT)and a subsequent recrystallization annealing treatment(RT).The object of AT is to precipitate someδphases and consume part of storage energy to inhibit the grain growth during RT,while the RT is to refine mixed and coarse grains by recrystallization.It can be found that the recrystallization grains will quickly grow up to a large size when the AT time is too low or the RT temperature is too high,while the deformed coarse grains cannot be eliminated when the AT time is too long or the RT temperature is too low.In addition,the mixed microstructure composed of some abnormal coarse recrystallization grains(ACRGs)and a large number of fine grains can be observed in the annealed specimen when the AT time is 3 h and RT temperature is 980℃.The phenomenon attributes to the uneven distribution ofδphase resulted from the heterogeneous deformation energy when the AT time is too short.In the regions with a large number ofδphases,the recrystallization nucleation rate is promoted and the growth of grains is limited,which results in fine grains.However,in the regions with fewδphases,the recrystallization grains around grain boundaries can easily grow up,and the new recrystallization nucleus is difficult to form inside grain,which leads to ACRGs.Thus,in order to obtain uniform and fine annealed microstructure,it is a prerequisite to precipitate even-distributedδphase by choosing a suitable AT time,such as 12 h.Moreover,a relative high RT temperature is also needed to promote the recrystallization nucleation aroundδphase.The optimal annealing parameters range for uniformly refining mixed crystal can be summarized as:900℃×12 h+990℃×(40-60 min)and 900℃×12 h+1000℃×(10-15 min). 展开更多

The thermal mechanical simulator system (Gleeble-3500) was used to carry out the double passes compression tests. The microstructure evolution of medium carbon steel with different time intervals during warm deformation was investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and electron back-scattered diffraction. The results show that the effects of time interval on microstructure evolution are very important. The low-angle boundaries transform into high-angle boundaries (HABs) during interval. The fraction of HABs and homogeneity of particle carbides increase with increasing time interval. In addition, the homogeneity of carbides also increases with the strain. However, the effects of time interval on the microstructure evolution are negligible when it exceeds 100 s. 展开更多

The flow stress softening rate at a high strain rate was larger than that at a low strain rate. The effects of deformation heating and friction on flow stress were analyzed. A new friction correction method, wherein the effect of strain on frictional coefficient was con- sidered, was established here. The stresses revised by the new method deviated from the measured stresses with in- creasing strain. Meanwhile, the apparent frictional coefficient variation law with strain was obtained. The frictional coefficient increased as the strain increased and then slightly decreased after maintaining a constant value. The stress was corrected by considering deformation heating. The accuracy of the temperature correction method was verified using a special experiment. The results of the verification experiment show that the temperature correction method exhibited a good accuracy in calculating the variation of stress caused by deformation heating. A constitutive model considering strain was proposed here to describe the deformation behaviors. Compared with experimental data, the modified constitutive model exhibited a good accuracy as to constitutive correlation. 展开更多

The ultra-fine-grained ferrite(UFGF) with the size of less than 1 μm is often difficult to be obtained for low-alloyed steel in practical production processing.In this study,considering the rod and wire production process,a new method for preparing the UFGF with submicron scale is proposed by warm deformation of six passes with total strain of 2.6,followed by the cooling process in Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical simulator.The results show that the UFGF with an average size of 0.64 μm could be obtained via the phase transformation from austenite grains with an average size of 3.4 μm,which are achieved by the deformation-induced reversal austenization during the high strain rate warm deformation.The main driving force for the reversal transformation is the stress.And the interval between the passes also plays an important role in the reversal austenization. 展开更多

The Beijing Faint Object Spectrograph and Camera (BFOSC) is one of the most important instruments operating in conjunction with the 2.16-m telescope at Xinglong Observatory. Every year there are - 20 SCI-papers published based on observational data acquired with this telescope. In this work, we have systemically measured the total efficiency of the BFOSC that operates as part of the 2.16-m reflector, based on observations of two ESO flux standard stars. We have obtained the total efficiencies of the BFOSC instrument of different grisms with various slit widths in almost all ranges, and analyzed factors which effect the efficiency of this telescope and spectrograph. For astronomical observers, the result will be useful for them to select a suitable slit width, depending on their scientific goals and weather conditions during observations. For technicians, the result will help them to systemically identify the real efficiency of the telescope and spectrograph, and to further improve the total efficiency and observing capacity of the telescope technically. 展开更多

Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is the severe and rare type of psoriasis. The association between tumor necrosis factor-alpha induced protein 3 interacting protein 1 (TNIP1) gene and psoriasis was confirmed in people with multiple ethnicities. This study was to investigate the association between TNIP1 gene polymorphisms and pustular psoriasis in Chinese Hart population. Methods: Seventy-three patients with GPP, 67 patients with palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP), and 476 healthy controls were collected from Chinese Hart population. Six single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the TNIP1 gene, namely rs3805435, rs3792798, rs3792797, rs869976, rs 17728338, and rs999011 were genotyped by using polymerase chain reaction-ligase detection reaction. Statistical analyses were performed using the PLINK 1.07 package. Allele frequencies and genotyping frequencies for six SNPs were compared by using Chi-square test, odd ratio (OR) (including 95% confidence interval) were calculated. The haplotype analysis was conducted by Haploview software. Results: The frequencies of alleles of five SNPs were significantly different between the GPP group and the control group (P ≤ 7.22 × 10^-3), especially in the GPP patients without psoriasis vulgaris (PsV). In the haplotype analysis, the most significantly different haplotype was H4: ACGAAC, with 13.1% frequency in the GPP group but only 3.4% in the control group (OR = 4.16, P = 4.459 × 10^-7). However, no significant difference in the allele frequencies was found between the PPP group and control group for each of the six SNPs (P 〉 0.05). Conclusions: Polymorphisms in TNIP1 are associated with GPP in Chinese Han population. However, no association with PPP was found. Background:Despite the recent advances in treatments for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), there are still unmet needs in disease outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the satisfaction with drug therapies for RA according to the levels of disease severity (patientassessed) and proportions of treatment cost to household income.Methods:This was a subgroup study of a cross-sectional study in patients with RA and their physicians. The patients were subdivided into different subgroups based on their self-assessed severity of RA and on the proportions of treatment cost to household income (50%). The Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire for Medication version II was used to assess patients’ treatment satisfaction.Results:When considering all medications, effectiveness, convenience, and global satisfaction scores were lower in the severe and moderate RA subgroups than those in the mild and extremely mild RA subgroups (all P 50% subgroup (all P 50% subgroups ( F = 12.646, P = 0.005). Global satisfaction score was higher in the <10% subgroup than that in the 31% to 50% subgroup ( F = 8.794, P = 0.032). Conclusion:Higher disease severity and higher financial burden were associated with lower patient satisfaction. 展开更多

Target tracking is a typical and important application of wireless sensor networks(WSNs).Existing target tracking protocols focus mainly on energy efficiency,and little effort has been put into network management and real-time data routing,which are also very important issues for target tracking.In this paper,we propose a scalable cluster-based target tracking framework,namely the hierarchical prediction strategy(HPS),for energyefficient and real-time target tracking in large-scale WSNs.HPS organizes sensor nodes into clusters by using suitable clustering protocols which are beneficial for network management and data routing.As a target moves in the network,cluster heads predict the target trajectory using Kalman filter and selectively activate the next round of sensors in advance to keep on tracking the target.The estimated locations of the target are routed to the base station via the backbone composed of the cluster heads.A soft handoff algorithm is proposed in HPS to guarantee smooth tracking of the target when the target moves from one cluster to another.Under the framework of HPS,we design and implement an energy-efficient target tracking system,HierTrack,which consists of 36 sensor motes,a sink node,and a base station.Both simulation and experimental results show the efficiency of our system. 展开更多

Background:Disease activity indices(DAIs)including disease activity score 28(DAS28),simplified disease activity index(SDAI),and clinical disease activity index(CDAI)have been widely used in clinical practice and research studies of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).The objective of our study was to evaluate the correlation and concordance among different DAIs in Chinese patients with RA.Methods:A cross-sectional study,including patients enrolled in the Chinese registry of rheumatoid arthritis from November 2016 to August 2018,was conducted.The correlations were evaluated using Spearman correlation coefficient and concordance with Bland-Altman plots,quadratic weighted kappa,and discordance rates in the crosstab.For other indices,the optimal cutoff points corresponding to SDAI remission were explored through receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.Results:A total of 30,501 patients were included,of whom 80.46%were women.Most individuals were with moderate disease activity or high disease activity.High correlations among DAS28-erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and DAS28-C-reactive protein(CRP),SDAI and CDAI were observed.Similarly,the weighted kappa value among the indices was high.In Bland-Altman plots,a positive difference between DAS28-ESR and DAS28-CRP was observed,with an absolute difference of>1.2 in 3079(10.09%)patients.In crosstab,approximately 30%of the patients were classified into different groups.Concordance values between SDAI remission and the optimal cutoff points of DAS28-ESR,DAS28-CRP,and CDAI were 3.06,2.37,and 3.20,respectively.Conclusions:Although DAIs had high correlations and weighted kappa values,the discordance between DAIs was significant in Chinese patients with RA.The four DAIs are not interchangeable. 展开更多
