Syn-Aug:An Effective and General Synchronous Data Augmentation Framework for 3D Object Detection 认领 引用 被引量:1

Data augmentation plays an important role in boosting the performance of 3D models,while very few studies handle the 3D point cloud data with this technique.Global augmentation and cut-paste are commonly used augmentation techniques for point clouds,where global augmentation is applied to the entire point cloud of the scene,and cut-paste samples objects from other frames into the current frame.Both types of data augmentation can improve performance,but the cut-paste technique cannot effectively deal with the occlusion relationship between the foreground object and the background scene and the rationality of object sampling,which may be counterproductive and may hurt the overall performance.In addition,LiDAR is susceptible to signal loss,external occlusion,extreme weather and other factors,which can easily cause object shape changes,while global augmentation and cut-paste cannot effectively enhance the robustness of the model.To this end,we propose Syn-Aug,a synchronous data augmentation framework for LiDAR-based 3D object detection.Specifically,we first propose a novel rendering-based object augmentation technique(Ren-Aug)to enrich training data while enhancing scene realism.Second,we propose a local augmentation technique(Local-Aug)to generate local noise by rotating and scaling objects in the scene while avoiding collisions,which can improve generalisation performance.Finally,we make full use of the structural information of 3D labels to make the model more robust by randomly changing the geometry of objects in the training frames.We verify the proposed framework with four different types of 3D object detectors.Experimental results show that our proposed Syn-Aug significantly improves the performance of various 3D object detectors in the KITTI and nuScenes datasets,proving the effectiveness and generality of Syn-Aug.On KITTI,four different types of baseline models using Syn-Aug improved mAP by 0.89%,1.35%,1.61%and 1.14%respectively.On nuScenes,four different types of baseline models using Syn-Aug improved mAP by 14.93%,10.42%,8.47%and 6.81%respectively.The code is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asxw95kbx6ucpk6kc0.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/liuhuaijjin/Syn-Aug. 展开更多

Ni-rich cathode materials have become the mainstream choice in the mileage electric vehicle sector due to their high specific capacity and safety factor.However,the volume changes occurring during charging and discharging lead to microcracking and surface remodeling,posing challenges to achieving such as high specific capacity and long cycle stability.This paper reviews existing modification strategies for Ni-rich layered oxide cathode materials.Unlike previous reviews and related papers,we comprehensively discuss a variety of modification strategies and deeply discuss the synergistic modification effect of surface coating and bulk doping,which is how to improve the cycling stability of the Ni-rich cathode.In addition,based on recent research advances,the prospects and challenges of modifying Ni-rich layered cathodes for cycle stability upgrading of the lithium-ion battery,as well as the potential application prospects in the field of power automobiles,are comprehensively analyzed. 展开更多

金属结构广泛应用于现代工业的各个领域,在其制造和服役过程中会产生各种复杂缺陷,例如金属结构的表面和底部都出现缺陷的复合缺陷情况,这严重影响到金属结构的力学性能和使用寿命.使用单一的检测方法难以满足实际检测需求,而两种或多... 金属结构广泛应用于现代工业的各个领域,在其制造和服役过程中会产生各种复杂缺陷,例如金属结构的表面和底部都出现缺陷的复合缺陷情况,这严重影响到金属结构的力学性能和使用寿命.使用单一的检测方法难以满足实际检测需求,而两种或多种检无损测方法实施检测工作存在检测效率低、成本高等问题.为解决这一难题,本文开发了一种新型电磁-声一体化检测方法(脉冲涡流-电磁超声复合检测方法),并基于检出概率理论重点对所提方法的检测能力进行深入评估.首先针对铝合金试件同时存在表面裂纹和底部减薄缺陷的复合缺陷情况开发了脉冲涡流-电磁超声一体化检测方法的数值计算方法和实验系统,并基于频谱分析理论研究复合信号的分离方法.其次根据概率与统计学基本原理建立了检出概率的数学模型,并通过数值模拟结果和实验结果建立了复合缺陷尺寸的信号特征量数据库.最后对信号特征量数据库进行信号统计分析,并根据建立的检出概率模型对表面裂纹和底部减薄缺陷的尺寸参数进行检出概率分析,确定脉冲涡流-电磁超声复合检测方法的最小可检尺寸. 展开更多

Chronic diabetic wounds confront a significant medical challenge because of increasing prevalence and difficult-healing circumstances.It is vital to develop multifunctional hydrogel dressings,with well-designed morphology and structure to enhance flexibility and effectiveness in wound management.To achieve these,we propose a self-healing hydrogel dressing based on structural color microspheres for wound management.The microsphere comprised a photothermal-responsive inverse opal framework,which was constructed by hyaluronic acid methacryloyl,silk fibroin methacryloyl and black phosphorus quantum dots(BPQDs),and was further re-filled with a dynamic hydrogel.The dynamic hydrogel filler was formed by Knoevenagel condensation reaction between cyanoacetate and benzaldehyde-functionalized dextran(DEX-CA and DEX-BA).Notably,the composite microspheres can be applied arbitrarily,and they can adhere together upon near-infrared irradiation by leveraging the BPQDs-mediated photothermal effect and the thermoreversible stiffness change of dynamic hydrogel.Additionally,eumenitin and vascular endothelial growth factor were co-loaded in the microspheres and their release behavior can be regulated by the same mechanism.Moreover,effective monitoring of the drug release process can be achieved through visual color variations.The microsphere system has demonstrated desired capabilities of controllable drug release and efficient wound management.These characteristics suggest broad prospects for the proposed composite microspheres in clinical applications. 展开更多

Increasing evidence shows that adipokines play a vital role in the development of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Fatty acid-binding protein 4(FABP4),a novel adipokine that regulates inflammation and angiogenesis,has been extensively studied in a variety of organs and diseases.However,the effect of FABP4 on RA remains unclear.Here,we found that FABP4 expression was upregulated in synovial M1-polarized macrophages in RA.The increase in FABP4 promoted synovitis,angiogenesis,and cartilage degradation to exacerbate RA progression in vivo and in vitro,whereas BMS309403(a FABP4 inhibitor)and anagliptin(dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor)inhibited FABP4 expression in serum and synovial M1-polarized macrophages in mice to alleviate RA progression.Further studies showed that constitutive activation of mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1(mTORC1)by TSC1 deletion specifically in the myeloid lineage regulated FABP4 expression in macrophages to exacerbate RA progression in mice.In contrast,inhibition of mTORC1 by ras homolog enriched in brain(Rheb1)disruption specifically in the myeloid lineage reduced FABP4 expression in macrophages to attenuate RA development in mice.Our findings established an essential role of FABP4 that is secreted by M1-polarized macrophages in synovitis,angiogenesis,and cartilage degradation in RA.BMS309403 and anagliptin inhibited FABP4 expression in synovial M1-polarized macrophages to alleviate RA development.Hence,FABP4 may represent a potential target for RA therapy. 展开更多

Leader propagation is a fundamental issue in lightning physics. The propagation characteristics of positive leaders and negative leaders are summarized and compared based on data from high-speed camera and electromagnetic field in rocket-triggered lightning and tower-initiated lightning discharges; available channel base current data recorded in rocket-triggered lightning are also used. The negative leaders propagate in a stepped fashion accompanied by many branches. The stems ahead of the negative leader tip determine the manner and direction of the leader propagation, and even the branching and winding of the lightning channel. The impulsive current, electromagnetic field, and related optical images suggest that the positive leader may develop in a step-like fashion at its initial stage of triggered lightning. However, the stepping processes of the positive leader are obviously different from those of the negative leader. Tower-initiated lightning revealed that the most conspicuous characteristics of the stepwise positive leader involve the intermittent brush-like corona zone in front of the leader tip and the luminosity enhancement of the channel behind the tip. In rockettriggered lightning flashes, the charge transferred during an individual step for the negative leader was nearly an order greater than for the positive counterpart. The successive streamers ahead of the leader tip are essential for both negative and positive leader propagation, and the stems could be formed from one or more streamers in the previous negative streamer zone with the main leader channel dim. High-resolution observation of tower lightning also revealed a new type of bidirectional recoil leader, with polarity contrary to the traditional one, traversing in negative channels associated with tower-initiated and rocket-triggered lightning. 展开更多

In this paper, we report the location results for the parent lightning strokes of more than 30 red sprites observed over an asymmetric mesoscale convective system(MCS) on 30 July 2015 in Shandong Province, China, with a long-baseline lightning location network of very-low-frequency/low-frequency magnetic field sensors. The results show that almost all of these cloud-to-ground(CG) strokes are produced during the mature stage of the MCS, and are predominantly located in the trailing stratiform region, which is similar to analyses of sprite-productive MCSs in North America and Europe. Comparison between the location results for the sprite-producing CG strokes and those provided by the World Wide Lightning Location Network(WWLLN) indicates that the location accuracy of WWLLN for intense CG strokes in Shandong Province is typically within 10 km, which is consistent with the result based on analysis of 2838 sprite-producing CG strokes in the continental United States. Also, we analyze two cases where some minor lightning discharges in the parent flash of sprites can also be located, providing an approach to confine the thundercloud region tapped by the sprite-producing CG strokes. 展开更多

A thunderstorm tracking algorithm is proposed to nowcast the possibility of lightning activity over an area of concern by using the total lightning data and neighborhood technique.The lightning radiation sources observed from the Beijing Lightning Network(BLNET)were used to obtain information about the thunderstorm cells,which are significantly valuable in real-time.The boundaries of thunderstorm cells were obtained through the neighborhood technique.After smoothing,these boundaries were used to track the movement of thunderstorms and then extrapolated to nowcast the lightning approaching in an area of concern.The algorithm can deliver creditable results prior to a thunderstorm arriving at the area of concern,with accuracies of 63%,80%,and 91%for lead times of 30,15,and 5 minutes,respectively.The real-time observations of total lightning appear to be significant for thunderstorm tracking and lightning nowcasting,as total lightning tracking could help to fill the observational gaps in radar reflectivity due to the attenuation by hills or other obstacles.The lightning data used in the algorithm performs well in tracking the active thunderstorm cells associated with lightning activities. 展开更多

A low-frequency magnetic lightning mapping system(LFM-LMS)was built during the SHAndong Triggered Lightning Experiment(SHATLE),based on continuous measurements of magnetic field radiation from lightning.The hardware and source-mapping techniques used by the LFM-LMS were introduced;both Monte Carlo simulations and the observation of rocket-triggered lightning examples were employed to examine the location accuracy and detection effectiveness of the LFM-LMS.We estimated that the system’s location accuracy about 100−200 m horizontally and~200 m vertically.A natural intra-cloud lightning flash and a rocket-triggered lightning flash,both with intricate structures and discharging processes,were examined using the three-dimensional mapping results.The progressing path of negative lightning leaders is usually well-defined,and its propagation speed is estimated to be(0.5−1.4)×106m/s.In summary,the LFM-LMS can reconstruct the three-dimensional morphology of lightning flashes;this technology provides a efficient method for investigating the characteristics of lightning development,as well as the overall electrical strucuture of thunderstorms. 展开更多

In this work,cathode materials of spent lithium-ion ternary batteries are recovered and used as metal precursor to prepare multi-metal oxides MnOx(SY)and GdMnO3(SY)via combustion method and sol-gel method,respectively.Furthermore,a series of MnOx(SY)-n and GdMnO3(SY)-n(n=0.05,0.10,1.00,4.00,n represents the dilute HNO3 concentration)catalysts are fabricated by acid treatment of MnOx(SY)and GdMnO3(SY)samples and catalytic activities of oxygenated VOCs oxidation over all the prepared catalysts are investigated.Catalytic evaluation results show that acid-treated MnOx(SY)-0.10 and GdMnO3(SY)-0.05 samples perform the optimum VOCs removal efficiency respectively,which may be attributed to their obvious enhancement of physicochemical properties.In detail,Mn Ox(SY)-0.10 and GdMnO3(SY)-0.05 samples exhibit the larger specific surface area,bigger amount of surface high-valence metal ions(Mn4+,Co3+,Ni3+),more abundant adsorbed oxygen species and better low-temperature reducibility,which can play a crucial role in the significant improvement of VOCs oxidation.In situ DRIFTS results imply that the possible main intermediates are-OCO,-COO and-C-O species produced during VOCs oxidation.Possible by-products are further determined via TD/GC-MS analysis. 展开更多

Rivers are critical links in the carbon and nitrogen cycle in aquatic,terrestrial,and atmospheric environments.Here riverine carbon and nitrogen exports in nine large rivers on the Tibetan Plateau—the"Water Tower of Asia"—were investigated in the monsoon season from 2013 to 2015.Compared with the world average,concentrations of dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC,30.7 mg/L)were high in river basins of the plateau due to extensive topographic relief and intensive water erosion.Low concentrations of dissolved organic carbon(DOC,1.16 mg/L)were likely due to the low temperature and unproductive land vegetation environments.Average concentrations of riverine DIN(0.32 mg/L)and DON(0.35 mg/L)on the Tibetan Plateau were close to the world average.However,despite its predominantly pristine environment,discharge from agricultural activities and urban areas of the plateau has raised riverine N export.In addition,DOC/DON ratio(C/N,~6.5)in rivers of the Tibetan Plateau was much lower than the global average,indicating that dissolved organic carbon in the rivers of this region might be more bioavailable.Therefore,along with global warming and anthropogenic activities,increasing export of bioavailable riverine carbon and nitrogen from rivers of the Tibetan Plateau can be expected in the future,which will possibly influence the regional carbon and nitrogen cycle. 展开更多

Atomic layer deposition(ALD)attracts great attention nowadays due to its ability for designing and modifying catalytic systems at the molecular level.There are several reported review papers published recently discussing this technique in catalysis.However,the mechanism on how the deposited materials improve the catalyst stability and tune the reaction selectivity is still unclear.Herein,catalytic systems created via ALD on stepwise preparation and/or modification under self-limiting reaction conditions are summarized.The effects of deposited materials in terms of electronic/geometry modification over the catalytic nanoparticles(NPs)are discussed.These effects explain the mechanism of the catalytic stability improvement and the selectivity modification.The unique properties of ALD for designing new catalytic systems are further investigated for building up photocatalytic reaction nanobowls,tandem catalyst and bi-active-component metallic catalytic systems. 展开更多

Lithium aluminosilicate (LAS) glasses are generally difficult to prepare because of their high melting temperature. In this study, the preparation of LAS glasses was achieved at a relatively low melting temperature. The batch containing MgO-ZnO-LiEO- Al2O3-SiO2 was melted in a platinum crucible at 1550℃ for 2 h and was then followed by two- or three-step heat treatment processes for nucleation and crystal growth. The characterizations were carried out by differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and UV-Vis-NIR scanning spectrophotometry. The hexagonal stuffed β-eucryptite solid solution crystallized at 840-960℃. Most of the hexagonal β-eucryptite solid solution transformed into the tetragonal β-spodumene solid solution at 1100℃. Almost all the aluminum atoms entered into the tetrahedral sites in the aluminosilicate network of the 6- eucryptite/β-quartz solid solution. All of the Al atoms did not belong to the aluminosilicate network of the β-spodumene solid solution. The glass ceramic with a mean grain size of 10-20 nm is transparent, the transmittance reaches -85% in the visible light wavelength. 展开更多

There is keen interest in using Ti alloys as lightweight structural materials for aerospace and automotive industries.However,a long-standing problem for these materials is their poor oxidation resistance.Herein,we designed and fabricated a Ti5Si3 reinforced Ti-4(wt.%)Mo composite with two-scale network architecture by low energy milling and spark plasma sintering.It displays superior oxidation resistance at 800°C owing to the in-situ formation of a multi-component surface layer.This oxide layer has a dense grain size gradient structure that consists of an outer TiO2layer and an inner SiO2-padding-TiO2 layer,which has remarkable oxidation resistance and thermal stability.Furthermore,it was revealed that the hitherto unknown interaction between Ti5Si3 reinforcement and nitrogen during oxidation would contribute to the formation of a TiN nano-twin interface layer,which accommodates the thermal mismatch strain between the oxide layer and matrix.This,along with high adhesion,confers excellent thermal cycling life with no cracking or spallation during long-term oxidation.In this regard,the secure operating temperature of this new composite can be increased to 800°C,which provides a design pathway for a new family of Ti matrix composites for high-temperature applications. 展开更多

The triangulation of red sprites was obtained, based on concurrent observations over a mesoscale convective system(MCS) in North China from two stations separated by about 450 km. In addition, broadband sferics from the sprite-producing lightning were measured at five ground stations, making it possible to locate and identify the individual causative lightning discharges for different elements in this dancing sprite event. The results of our analyses indicate that the sprites were produced above the trailing stratiform region of the MCS, and their parent strokes were located mainly in the peripheral area of the stratiform. The lateral offset between sprites and causative strokes ranges from a few km to more than 50 km. In a particularly bright sprite, with a distinct halo feature and streamers descending down to an altitude of approximately 48 km, the sprite current signal identified in the electric sferic, measured at a range of about 1,110 km, peaked at approximately 1 ms after the return stroke. 展开更多
