Non-structural carbohydrates(NSCs)are crucial for tree growth and survival under climatic stress,yet their spatial dynamics across broad climate gradients remain unclear.Pines(Pinus spp.),one of the most widely distributed tree genera worldwide,provide an ideal system for investigating large-scale spatial patterns of NSC within a single genus along extensive climatic gradients.Here,we compiled a global NSC database for pines across 74 sites,and assessed the spatial variation in total NSC,starch(St),and soluble sugars(SS)concentrations in stem sapwood,the primary reserve tissue,along site-specific mean annual temperature(MAT)and precipitation(MAP).Our results show that MAP exerted a stronger influence(R2=20%–47%)on the spatial variation in total NSC and its components than did MAT(R2=6%–16%).Tota concentrations declined nonlinearly with increasing MAP,with the rate of decline slowing beyond approximately 800 mm.While MAT had weaker effects on total NSC concentrations,both MAT and MAP jointly regulated NSC partitioning:Higher MAT and MAP were associated with reduced St concentrations but elevated SS concentrations and SS:St ratios.These findings suggest that pine species in cold and arid environments prioritize storing NSC as St,whereas in relatively warm and humid environments,NSC are preferentially mobilized into SS to support immediate metabolic and growth demands. 展开更多

Background The deposition of intramuscular fat(IMF)in livestock can enhance the flavor and tenderness of meat products,significantly increasing consumer satisfaction.To achieve this industrial trait,this study investigated the regulatory effects of 20 dietary nutrients on sheep IMF deposition using a 3D organoid culture model.Results Key nutrients enhancing angiogenesis,adipocyte differentiation,and lipid accumulation were identified through assessments of capillary sprouts development,mRNA expression,and Oil Red O staining.Vitamins C(VC),E(VE),and K1(VK1),guanidinoacetic acid(GAA),leucine(Leu),lysine(Lys),methionine(Met),N-carbamylglutamate(NCG),tryptophan(Trp),α-linolenic acid(ALA),linoleic acid(LA),cis-9,trans-11 conjugated linoleic acid(c9,t11-CLA),acetic acid(HAc),and sodium acetate(NaAc)stimulated while vitamins B9(VB9),D(VD),K2(VK2),taurine(Tau),and sodium butyrate(NaBu)inhibited angiogenesis(P<0.05).Furthermore,VC,VE,VK1,VK2,GAA,Leu,NCG,Trp,ALA,LA,and HAc enhanced adipocyte differentiation,with VE,VK1,GAA,Leu,LA,and HAc additionally elevating lipid accumulation(P<0.05).Conclusions Various nutrients play distinct regulatory roles in angiogenesis,adipocyte differentiation,and lipid accumulation.These findings provide a roadmap for further optimizing the production of marbled meat through nutritional intervention in actual livestock breeding production. 展开更多

Objectives:This study aimed to evaluate the measurement properties and methodological quality of instruments developed to evaluate the quality of online health information.Methods:In this study,a systematic search was conducted across a range of databases,including the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang,China Science and Technology Journal(VIP),SinoMed,PubMed,Web of Science,CINAHL,Embase,the Cochrane Library,PsycINFO,and Scopus.The search period spanned from the inception of the databases to October 2023.Two researchers independently conducted the literature screening and data extraction.The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using the Consensus-based Standards for the Selection of Health Measurement Instruments(COSMIN)Risk of Bias checklist.The measurement properties were evaluated using the coSMIN criteria.The modified Grading,Recommendations,Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE)system was used to determine the quality grade.Results:A total of 18 studies were included,and the measurement properties of 17 scales were assessed.Fifteen scales had content validity,three had structural validity,six had internal consistency,two had test-retest reliability,nine had interater reliability,one had measurement error,six instruments had criterion validity,and three scales had hypotheses testing for construct validity;however,the evaluation of their methodological quality and measurement properties revealed deficiencies.Of these 17 scales,15 were assigned a Level B recommendation,and two received a Level C recommendation.Conclusions:The Health Information Website Evaluation Tool(HIWET)can be temporarily used to evaluate the quality of health information on websites.The Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool(PEMAT)can temporarily assess the quality of video-based health information.However,the effectiveness of both tools needs to be further verified. 展开更多

Bisphenol F(BPF)and Bisphenol S(BPS)are widely used substitutes for Bisphenol A(BPA).However,growing evidence indicated that BPF and BPS may induce physiological effects similar to those of BPA.Furthermore,chemical management and control is primarily focus on the risk assessment of individual compounds,often overlooking the implications of chemical mixtures.We hypothesize that exposure to a mixture of BPA and its substitutes will enhance their endocrine-disruptive effects,disrupt steroid hormone homeostasis,and further impair reproductive system functionality.In the animal study,both female and male mice were exposed to 333μg/kg of BPA,BPF,BPS,their mixture(333μg/kg(MIXL),and 1 mg/kg(MIXH))via gavage daily for four weeks.The study demonstrated that bisphenols(BPs)affected the expression of genes related to steroid hormone synthesis.The MIXL group of female mice exhibited an increasing trend in estradiol(E2)levels and a decreasing trend in progesterone(Pg)and testosterone(TT)levels.Additionally,follicular development was impacted,resulting in an increased number of atretic follicles.In contrast,a significant increase in E2 concentration and disruption of testicular morphology were observed in the MIXH group of male mice,accompanied by a decline in sperm quality.Importantly,these results were corroborated by a population-based investigation.Collectively,the animal experiments indicate that mixed exposure to BPs disrupts hormone levels and adversely affects reproductive function,while epidemiological evidence further establishes correlative links between bisphenols and hormone levels.These findings underscore the necessity of considering chemical mixtures during testing and risk assessment. 展开更多

Eugenol is a natural phenolic compound known for its health-promoting properties and its ability to add a floral scent to tea plants.Plant eugenol glycosides have been identified and shown to make important contributions to fruit floral quality.However,the details of their biosynthesis and metabolism in tea plants are still unknown.Here,eugenol glucoside was unambiguously identified as a native metabolite in the tea plant,and its biosynthesis was shown to be induced by low temperature treatment.Through the analysis of UGTs induced by low temperature,the glycosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 was identified in tea,and its encoded protein was shown to catalyze the glucosylation of eugenol.Vmax/Km ratios showed that eugenol was the most suitable substrate for CsUGT78A15.Sugar donor preference analysis showed that CsUGT78A15 had a higher selectivity for glucose,followed by galactose and glucuronic acid.The expression of CsUGT78A15was correlatedwith the accumulation of eugenol glucoside in different tissues and genotypes of tea.Down-regulation of CsUGT78A15 led to a decreased eugenol glucoside content under cold stress,indicating that CsUGT78A15 plays an important role in the biosynthesis of eugenol glucoside under cold stress.The identification of eugenol glucoside in the tea plant and the discovery of a cold stress-induced eugenol glucosyltransferase in tea provide the foundation for the improvement of tea flavor under cold stress and the biotechnological production of eugenol glucoside. 展开更多

The aim of this research was to develop a quantitative method for clinicians to predict the probability of improved prognosis in patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Data on 104 patients admitted to hospital with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection from 10 January 2020 to 26 February 2020 were collected.Clinical information and laboratory findings were collected and compared between the outcomes of improved patients and non-improved patients.The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)logistics regression model and two-way stepwise strategy in the multivariate logistics regression model were used to select prognostic factors for predicting clinical outcomes in COVID-19 patients.The concordance index(C-index)was used to assess the discrimination of the model,and internal validation was performed through bootstrap resampling.A novel predictive nomogram was constructed by incorporating these features.Of the 104 patients included in the study(median age 55 years),75(72.1%)had improved short-term outcomes,while 29(27.9%)showed no signs of improvement.There were numerous differences in clinical characteristics and laboratory findings between patients with improved outcomes and patients without improved outcomes.After a multi-step screening process,prognostic factors were selected and incorporated into the nomogram construction,including immunoglobulin A(IgA),C-reactive protein(CRP),creatine kinase(CK),acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II(APACHE II),and interaction between CK and APACHE II.The C-index of our model was 0.962(95%confidence interval(CI),0.931-0.993)and still reached a high value of 0.948 through bootstrapping validation.A predictive nomogram we further established showed close performance compared with the ideal model on the calibration plot and was clinically practical according to the decision curve and clinical impact curve.The nomogram we constructed is useful for clinicians to predict improved clinical outcome probability for each COVID-19 patient,which may facilitate personalized counselling and treatment. 展开更多

Purpose: This study analyzes the current status of institutional cooperation in economics and management (EM) and library and information science (LIS) in China.Design/methodology/approach: Based on the Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) database, we constructed institutional collaboration networks in EM and LIS, and analyzed the collaboration characteristics through social network analysis.Findings: In the development and evolution of the collaboration network of institutions in humanities and social sciences, EM is always at the center. It has extensive cooperation relationships with other fields. The position of LIS has also become centralized, and its interdisciplinary cooperation has increased. For both EM and LIS, we observed "small-world" and "scale-free" networks, indicating full communication and mature development in both disciplines. Based on a comparison of two institutions in the two fields, we confirmed the comprehensive development in EM and the extensive information exchange in LIS.Research limitations: We collected data only from humanities and social sciences, but did not consider the connection between EM and natural sciences, or between LIS and natural sciences. In addition, the paper lacks analysis of institutional collaboration at the micro level.Practical implications: The paper provides insights into the institutional cooperation characteristics in EM and LIS in China.Originality/value: The paper offers a new perspective on the characteristics of institutional collaboration in China. 展开更多

Objective:Observe the clinical characteristics of children with SLE,namely,to observe the symptoms and laboratory examinations,such as blood routine,blood lipid,immunoglobulin,complement,autoantibodies,serum 25(OH)D and other indicators,and to explore the clinical characteristics,the difference and the significance of vitamin D supplements between male and female SLE patients in children respectively.Methods:We enrolled 64 cases of SLE patients in children who were admitted into the department of pediatrics and rheumatology of the third affiliated hospital of sun yat-sen university in guangzhou from May 1,2011 to February 1,2019,They were analyzed retrospectively,adoptingΧ²test for statistical analysis.Results:64 cases of SLE in children,which included 10 cases of male and 54 cases of female.Clinical manifestations:facial skin rash in 48 patients(75%),fever in 38 cases(59.4%),arthritis in 28 cases(43.8%),oral ulcer in 18 cases(28.1%),serositis in13 cases(20.3%),and the sun allergy in 9 cases(14.1%),the damage of central nervous system in 7 cases(10.9%).Laboratory examination:30 cases of leukopenia(46.9%),anemia in 30 cases(46.9%),thrombocytopenia in 12 cases(18.8%),hematuria in 18 cases(28.1%),proteinuria in 33 cases(51.2%),6 patients with renal impairment(9.4%),antinuclear antibody positive in 63 cases(98.4%),anti-double-stranded DNA(dsDNA)antibody positive in 48 cases(75%),anti SSA antibody positive in 44 cases(68.7%),SSB antibody positive in 33 cases(51.6%),Sm antibody positive in 40 cases(62.5%),nucleosome antibody positive in 28 cases(43.8%).Among these children,male SLE patients were higher than female children with SLE in the damage of kidney,Sm antibodies and resisting nucleosome antibody positive rates(Χ²=4.451,8.336,6.803,P<0.05),the female children with SLE was higher than male SLE Children in the anti-SSB antibody positive rate(Χ²=4.945,P<0.05).In 64 cases of SLE children,which included 52 cases were lower than the normal level of serum 25(OH)D measurements,12 cases were in the normal lower limit of serum 25(OH)D measurements,at the same time,the female SLE.Patients was higher than male children with SLE in the reduce rate of serum 25(OH)D(Χ²=8.351,P<0.05).Conclusion:Male SLE patients which appeared damage of kidney easier than female patients,the proteinuria was the most common in the damage of kidney.Resistance to Sm antibodies which was the risk factor of renal injury with higher incidence in male children with SLE;Anti nucleosome antibody which was the risk factor for the disease activity in male children with SLE were higher than female children with SLE.It was estimated that the risk of Sjogren’s syndrome appeared in female with SLE were higher than that in male SLE children.In this retrospective study,the serum 25(OH)D levels were significantly lower in children with SLE,and vitamin D supplementation was required. 展开更多

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)can enhance terrestrial plant growth by promoting nutrient uptake.However,the effects of interactions between AMF and nutrient inputs on plant functional traits and their trade-offs remain poorly understood.In this study,a pot experiment was conducted using Phragmites australis as the host species,with AMF inoculation and non-inoculation treatments under three levels of nitrogen addition and two levels of phosphorus addition.The results showed that AMF inoculation significantly increased AMF colonization in the roots of P.australis.Under unfertilized conditions,AMF significantly promoted plant morphological development and biomass accumulation.Nitrogen addition primarily enhanced aboveground growth,while phosphorus addition significantly stimulated root system development.Regarding photosynthetic traits,AMF inoculation significantly increased carotenoid content,whereas phosphorus addition significantly reduced net photosynthetic rate(Pn),transpiration rate(Tr),and stomatal conductance(Gs)by 18.5%,25.8%,and 28.2%,respectively.Furthermore,AMF inoculation increased leaf nitrogen and phosphorus contents but reduced stem nitrogen content and the N:P ratios in fine roots,rhizomes,and stems.Trait network analysis revealed that AMF inoculation shifted the central traits from leaf biomass to rhizome biomass,indicating a transition in hub traits from aboveground to belowground organs.These findings suggest that AMF inoculation significantly promotes the growth of P.australis although the magnitude of this benefit is modulated by soil nitrogen and phosphorus availability,with stronger effects observed under nutrient-poor conditions.This study advances our understanding of nutrient-AMF-plant interactions in wetland ecosystems and provides a theoretical foundation for ecological restoration and nutrient management in vulnerable aquatic habitats. 展开更多

Background:Seabuckthorn is a widely distributed,high-yielding shrub valued for its medicinal and nutritional properties,with its fruit rich in flavonoids and polysaccharides.While studies have focused on the anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,anticancer,and immune-boosting effects of these compounds,research on their skincare benefits is limited.Additionally,there is a lack of method development and characterization of their actual skincare efficacy.Objective:The main objective of this study was to investigate the antimicrobial,whitening,moisturizing,and restorative effects of seabuckthorn polysaccharides and flavonoids.An innovative gel leave-on mask was developed with these active ingredients,and its stability and skincare efficacy were evaluated through characterization experiments focusing on antibacterial,whitening,moisturizing,and restorative effects.Materials and Methods:Seabuckthorn polysaccharides and flavonoids were extracted using both aqueous and alcoholic methods.The antibacterial,antioxidant and whitening efficacy of sea buckthorn flavonoids was investigated by the antibacterial test of Propionibacterium acnes,ABTS free radical scavenging test and tyrosinase inhibition test.An innovative gel leave-on mask formula was developed,incorporating glycerol glucoside and hydrolyzed collagen for added moisturizing and reparative benefits.The stability of the gel mask was tested for pH stability,ionic strength stability,and thermodynamic stability using measurements of particle size,polydispersity index(PDI),and zeta potential.Finally,the practical efficacy of the gel leave-on mask was evaluated through participant trials,measuring skin parameters such as vascular density,skin roughness,moisture content,and pigmentation.Results:The study demonstrated that seabuckthorn flavonoids exhibited excellent antimicrobial,anti-inflammatory and whitening effects.The gel leave-on mask formulation proved stable.Participants showed significant improvements in skin parameters,including reduced roughness,increased moisture content,and enhanced pigmentation balance,confirming the practical efficacy of the product.Conclusion:In conclusion,this study fills the gap in the systematic verification of the multifaceted skincare benefits of seabuckthorn flavonoids and polysaccharides,while also developing a product that efficiently integrates these two active ingredients.The formulation's practical efficacy was confirmed,showing significant effects in antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,and whitening applications. 展开更多

Background:Natural forests in the Hengduan Mountains Region(HDMR)have pivotal ecological functions and provide diverse ecosystem services.Capturing long-term forest disturbance and drivers at a regional scale is crucial for sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation.Methods:We used 30-m resolution Landsat time series images and the LandTrendr algorithm on the Google Earth Engine cloud platform to map forest disturbances at an annual time scale between 1990 and 2020 and attributed causal agents of forest disturbance,including fire,logging,road construction and insects,using disturbance properties and spectral and topographic variables in the random forest model.Results:The conventional and area-adjusted overall accuracies(OAs)of the forest disturbance map were 92.3% and 97.70%±0.06%,respectively,and the OA of mapping disturbance agents was 85.80%.The estimated disturbed forest area totalled 3313.13 km2(approximately 2.31% of the total forest area in 1990)from 1990 to 2020,with considerable interannual fluctuations and significant regional differences.The predominant disturbance agent was fire,which comprised approximately 83.33% of the forest area disturbance,followed by logging(12.2%),insects(2.4%)and road construction(2.0%).Massive forest disturbances occurred mainly before 2000,and the post-2000 annual disturbance area significantly dropped by 55% compared with the pre-2000 value.Conclusions:This study provided spatially explicit and retrospective information on annual forest disturbance and associated agents in the HDMR.The findings suggest that China’s logging bans in natural forests combined with other forest sustainability programmes have effectively curbed forest disturbances in the HDMR,which has implications for enhancing future forest management and biodiversity conservation. 展开更多

Room-temperature thermoelectric materials are important for converting heat into electrical energy.As a widebandgap semiconductor material,CuI has the characteristics of non-toxicity,low cost,and environmental friendliness.In this work,CuI powder was synthesized by a wet chemical method,then CuI film was formed by vacuum assisted filtration of the CuI powder on a porous nylon membrane,followed by hot pressing.The film exhibits a large Seebeck coefficient of 600μV·K-1at room temperature.In addition,the film also shows good flexibility(~95%retention of the electrical conductivity after being bent along a rod with a radius of 4 mm for 1000 times).A finger touch test on a single-leg TE module indicates that a voltage of 0.9 mV was immediately generated within 0.5 s from a temperature difference of 4 K between a finger and the environment,suggesting the potential application in wearable thermal sensors. 展开更多

Biogenic silica(BSi)is a key component of the marine silicon cycle,which is mainly driven by diatom metabolism notably contributing to primary production and export of particulate organic carbon(POC),particularly in ocean margins.Based on a large data set collected in the East China Sea(ECS),including BSi,fucoxanthin(Fuco),POC,and total suspended matter(TSM),we systematically explored the distribution and control of BSi in a typical eutrophic marginal sea.Spatially,BSi concentrations generally decreased from the shelf to the slope during all seasons,because the former is largely fed by river plumes and/or coastal currents enriched in nutrients favoring diatom growth.Abundant BSi was also observed in nearshore bottom waters probably influenced by sediment resuspension indicated by high TSM concentrations.Seasonally,BSi concentrations were on average higher in summer and autumn than in spring and winter,which reflects elevated diatom productivity during warm seasons.The BSi standing stock in the shallow water column of the ECS was significantly correlated with that of Fuco demonstrating diatoms’dominant control on BSi dynamics.In addition,significant relationships between BSi and POC standing stocks were observed in summer and autumn,indicating the major role of diatoms in C fixation.By comparing with the northern South China Sea(NSCS),we suggested relatively small seasonal variability of BSi on the ECS shelf but significant decrease during cold seasons in the ECS slope.In the latter case,diatoms are ecologically and biogeochemically more important and more sensitive to the changing physical and/or chemical conditions than in the oligotrophic NSCS slope. 展开更多

Network Simulator 3 (ns-3) provides a simulation platform for various experimental studies including energy harvest.However, the function of charge schedule and wireless energy transfer model is not yet implemented. To address this problem, in this paper we propose an extension to ns-3 for simulating mobile charging with wireless energy transfer.First, we utilize a WET Harvest Class to harvest energy from the environment and a Charge Schedule Class for the mobile charger to choose the optimal node charging in the charging request queue in ns-3. Second, we use Charge Energy Model to judge what the mobile charger will do next when the energy of current node is higher or lower than energy threshold. Evaluation results show that our improvements are feasible and helpful with charge schedule and energy model in ns-3. 展开更多

Riboflavin(vitamin B2)is essential for poultry reproduction and embryonic development.Riboflavin deficiency adversely affects egg hatchability and embryonic survival,but whether these effects are reversible remains unclear.This study aimed to assess the effect of riboflavin refeeding(RR)on reproductive performance,embryonic development,riboflavin status,antioxidant capacity,and hepatic metabolism in duck breeders and embryos.A total of 60 duck breeders(40 weeks,3.45±0.90 kg)were randomly assigned to two groups:a riboflavin-deficient(RD)group(n=40)and a control(CON)group(n=20).The RD group received a riboflavin-deficient diet(1.48 mg/kg),while the CON group was fed a riboflavin-sufficient(RF)diet(16.48 mg/kg)for 9 weeks.Following this period,the pigeons previously fed the riboflavin-deficient diet were randomly divided into two subgroups:one continued receiving the RD diet,and the other was refed a riboflavin-sufficient diet(RR)group.The RR and CON groups were maintained on the RF diet for an additional 5 weeks.Riboflavin deficiency reduced egg hatchability(P0.05).Plasma and tissue riboflavin concentrations,along with hepatic flavin mononucleotide(FMN)and flavin adenine dinucleotide(FAD)levels,were restored to CON levels after 5 weeks of refeeding(P>0.05).RR improved hepatic antioxidant capacity(P0.05).Metabolomic analysis revealed that RR partially restored metabolic balance related to protein,vitamin,and lipid metabolism.These findings indicated that RR over a 5-week period can effectively reverse the adverse effects of a 9-week deficiency.However,full restoration of antioxidant capacity and metabolic balance may require longer refeeding periods or higher doses.These findings highlight the crucial role of riboflavin in poultry health and provide insights for preventing and treating riboflavin deficiency. 展开更多

In current study, cancer stem-like cells in the murine melanoma B16F10 cells were investigated. CD phenotypes of the B16F10 cells were analyzed by flow cytometry, and the specific CD phenotype cells from the B16F10 cells were isolated by MACS. Then we used colony formation assay in soft agar media, the cell growth assay in serum-free culture media as well as the tumorigenicity investigation of the specific CD phenotype cells in C57BL/6 mice, respectively, to identify cancer stem-like cells in the B16F10 cells. The results showed that the B16F10 cells could form spherical clones in serum-free culture media, and the rate of clonegenesis of CD133^+, CD44^+ and CD44^+CD133^+ cells was higher than that of CD133^-, CD44^- and CD44^+CD133^+ cells in soft agar media, respectively. The tumorigenic potential of CD133^+, CD44^+, CD44^+CD133^+ cells and CD44^+CD133^+CD24^+ cells was stronger than that of CD133^-, CD44^-, CD44^+CD133^- cells and CD44^+CD133^+CD24^- cells in mice, respectively. In conclusion, the CD44^+CD133^+CD24^+ cells have some biological properties of cancer stem-like cells or are highly similar to the characteristics of cancer stem cells (CSC). It is generally accepted that jasmonate-ZIM domain(JAZ)repressors act to mediate jasmonate(JA)signaling via CORONATINE-INSENSITIVE1(COI1)-mediated degradation.Here,we report a cryptic signaling cascade where a JAZ repressor,FvJAZ12,mediates multiple signaling inputs via phosphorylation-modulated subcellular translocation rather than the COI1-mediated degradation mechanism in strawberry(Fragaria vesca).FvJAZ12 acts to regulate flavor metabolism and defense response,and was found to be the target of Fv MPK6,a mitogen-activated protein kinase that is capable of responding to multiple signal stimuli.FvMPK6 phosphorylates FvJAZ12 at the amino acid residues S179 and T183 adjacent to the PY residues,thereby attenuating its nuclear accumulation and relieving its repression for FvMYC2,which acts to control the expression of lipoxygenase 3(FvLOX3),an important gene involved in JA biosynthesis and a diverse array of cellular metabolisms.Our data reveal a previously unreported mechanism for JA signaling and decipher a signaling cascade that links multiple signaling inputs with fruit trait development. 展开更多

Discovering ways in which to increase the sustainability of the metabolic processes involved in urbanization has become an urgent task for urban design and management in China.As cities are analogous to living organisms,the disorders of their metabolic processes can be regarded as the cause of"urban disease".Therefore,identification of these causes through metabolic process analysis and ecological element distribution through the urban ecosystem's compartments will be helpful.By using Beijing as an example,we have compiled monetary input-output tables from 1997,2000,2002,2005,and 2007 and calculated the intensities of the embodied ecological elements to compile the corresponding implied physical input-output tables.We then divided Beijing's economy into 32 compartments and analyzed the direct and indirect ecological intensities embodied in the flows of ecological elements through urban metabolic processes.Based on the combination of input-output tables and ecological network analysis,the description of multiple ecological elements transferred among Beijing's industrial compartments and their distribution has been refined.This hybrid approach can provide a more scientific basis for management of urban resource flows.In addition,the data obtained from distribution characteristics of ecological elements may provide a basic data platform for exploring the metabolic mechanism of Beijing. 展开更多
