The auxiliary function and modulus function are introduced to construct the displacementfield and density function. The displacement field, modulus function, and density function are connected to proposea design theory of special FGM. An analytical method for elastic wave propagation in inhomogeneous media with varyingmodulus and density is derived to provide theoretical references for material design and dynamic stress analysis under elasticwaves. Taking the problem of dynamic stress concentration caused by shallow buried elliptical cavity in half space designedunder SH waves as an example, the calculation results are obtained and analyzed. The results show that the dynamic stressconcentration is sensitive to the change of the inhomogeneity of the medium.展开更多

Asymptotic equations of crack tip fields in creep materials are derived and solved numerically under small scale conditions. Stress and strain func- tions are adopted under a polar coordinate system. The governing equations of asymptotic fields are obtained by inserting the stress field and strain field into the material law. The crack growth rate rather than fracture criterion plays an important role in the crack tip fields of materials with creep behavior.展开更多

The influence of the impact speed, crack length, plate thickness and notch tip radius on the crack initiation and propagation is studied. Dynamics equations are solved by an implicit time integration scheme which is unconditionally stable. Very good agreement is achieved between numerical predictions and experimental results. The critical velocity of the crack initiation under different conditions is examined. The influence of the crack length is greater than that of the impact speed, plate thickness and notch tip radius.展开更多
