Dynamic failure risk of coal pillar formed by irregular shape longwall face:A case study 认领 引用 被引量:5

Irregular shape workface would result in the presence of coal pillar, which leads to high stress concentration and possibly induces coal bumps. In order to study the coal bump mechanism of pillars, static and dynamic stress overlapping(SDSO) method was proposed to explain the impacts of static stress concentration and tremors induced by mining activities. The stress and deformation in surrounding rock of mining face were analyzed based on the field case study at 1303 workface in Zhaolou Coal Mine in China.The results illustrate that the surrounding rock of a workface could be divided into four different zones,i.e., residual stress zone, stress decrease zone, stress increase zone and original stress zone. The stress increase zone is prone to failure under the SDSO impact loading conditions and will provide elastic energy for inducing coal bump. Based on the numerical modelling results, the evolution of static stress in coal pillar as the size of gob increasing was studied, and the impact of dynamic stress was investigated through analyzing the characteristics of tremor activities. The numerical results demonstrate the peak value of vertical stress in coal pillar rises from about 30 MPa with mining distance 10 m to 52.6 MPa with mining distance 120 m, and the location of peak stress transfers to the inner zone of coal pillars as the workface moves forward. For the daily tremor activities, tremors with high energy released indicate high dynamic stress disturbance on the surrounding rock, therefore, the impact of dynamic stressing is more serious during workface extension period because the tremor frequency and average energy after workface extension are higher than those before the workface extension. 展开更多

Walking is the basic locomotion pattern for bipedal robots.The walking pattern is widely generated using the linear inverted pendulum model.The linear inverted pendulum motion of each support period can be designed as a walk primitive to be connected to form a walking trajectory.A novel method of integrating double support phase into the walk primitive was proposed in this article.The method describes the generation of walking patterns using walk primitives with double support,specifically for lateral plane including walking in place,walking for lateral,and walking initiation,and for sagittal plane including fixed step length walking,variable step length walking,and walking initiation.Compared to walk primitives without double support phase,those with double support phase reduce the maximum speed required by the robot and eliminate the need to adjust foothold for achieving continuous speed.The performance of the proposed method is validated by simulations and experiments on Neubot,a position-controlled biped robot. 展开更多

Hibiscus hamabo is a semi-mangrove species with strong tolerance to salt and waterlogging stress.However,the molecular basis and mechanisms that underlie this strong adaptability to harsh environments remain poorly understood.Here,we assembled a highquality,chromosome-level genome of this semi-mangrove plant and analyzed its transcriptome under different stress treatments to reveal regulatory responses and mechanisms.Our analyses suggested that H.hamabo has undergone two recent successive polyploidy events,a whole-genome duplication followed by a whole-genome triplication,resulting in an unusually large gene number(107309 genes).Comparison of the H.hamabo genome with that of its close relative Hibiscus cannabinus,which has not experienced a recent WGT,indicated that genes associated with high stress resistance have been preferentially preserved in the H.hamabo genome,suggesting an underlying association between polyploidy and stronger stress resistance.Transcriptomic data indicated that genes in the roots and leaves responded differently to stress.In roots,genes that regulate ion channels involved in biosynthetic and metabolic processes responded quickly to adjust the ion concentration and provide metabolic products to protect root cells,whereas no such rapid response was observed from genes in leaves.Using co-expression networks,potential stress resistance genes were identified for use in future functional investigations.The genome sequence,along with several transcriptome datasets,provide insights into genome evolution and themechanism of salt and waterlogging tolerance in H.hamabo,suggesting the importance of polyploidization for environmental adaptation. 展开更多

The post-peak characteristics of coal serve as a direct reflection of its failure process and are essential parameters for evaluating brittleness and bursting liability.Understanding the significant factors that influence post-peak characteristics can offer valuable insights for the prevention of coal bursts.In this study,the Synthetic Rock Mass method is employed to establish a numerical model,and the factors affecting coal post-peak characteristics are analyzed from four perspectives:coal matrix mechanical parameters,structural weak surface properties,height-to-width ratio,and loading rate.The research identifies four significant influencing factors:deformation modulus,density of discrete fracture networks,height-to-width ratio,and loading rate.The response and sensitivity of post-peak characteristics to single-factor and multi-factor interactions are assessed.The result suggested that feasible prevention and control measures for coal bursts can be formulated through four approaches:weakening the mechanical properties of coal pillars,increasing the number of structural weak surfaces in coal pillars,reducing the width of coal pillars,and optimizing mining and excavation speed.The efficacy of measures aimed at weakening the mechanical properties of coal is successfully demonstrated through a case study on coal burst prevention using large-diameter borehole drilling. 展开更多

Essential oils are a volatile and aromatic substance with a variety of active biological activities.However,the excessive volatility and inconvenience of the use of essential oils limit their applications.In this study,we developed a reactive mesoporous silica nanoparticle(rMSNs)based on cyanuric chloride modification for essential oil encapsulation and commodity adhesion.The large pore volume and specific surface area of rMSNs facilitate the nanoparticles adhering to a large amount of essential oil and achieve the sustained release of essential oil,thus prolonging the fragrance retention time of essential oils.The reactive nanoessential oils can form covalent bonds with the wallpaper,thereby remarkably improving the adhesion of the reactive nano-essential oils on the wallpaper and preventing the reactive nano-essential oil from deadhering from the wallpaper.The active nano essential oil simultaneously overcomes the intense volatility of the essential oil and inconvenience in use,has a simple preparation process and low cost,and has great application potential. 展开更多

Fragrances are frequently added to a variety of products,including food,cosmetics and health products.However,the high volatility and instability of essence limit its application in some fields.In this study,mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs) were prepared to encapsulate eugenol,which could reduce the volatilization of the fragrance molecules.A facile approach was presented to synthesize MSNs with three different pore diameters for encapsulating eugenol.In addition,the properties of MSNs including mean particle size,morphology,encapsulating efficiency and release tendency were charac terized.Results showed that the larger the pore diameters of MSNs,the more aromatic molecules were adsorbed.Furthermore,the release mechanism was described as the smaller the pore diameters of MSNs,the slower the release of eugenol. 展开更多

However, their storage, application and quality are severely influenced by their strong volatility. In order to overcome these natural defects of fragrances,fragrance encapsulation approaches have been developed recently. In this study, a mild, simple and lowcost method of fragrance encapsulation was invented. Liposomes composed of soya lecithin/DSPEPEG2000/PLGA were prepared to encapsulate lily fragrance(LF). And these nanosized fragrance products was named LF-NPs. The hydrodynamic diameters of LF-NPs were approximately 100 nm and their encapsulation efficiency was up to 21.9%. Besides, LF-NPs could also prolong the release time of lily fragrance. Finally, the cytotoxicity tests indicated that LF-NPs offered biocompatibility. Therefore, LF-NPs were expected to have application prospects. 展开更多

In this study, photo-driven mesoporous silica nanospheres loaded with sandela 803 was designed, prepared and named as S803@MS-S. S803@MS-S possessed ordered mesoporous, large specific surface area and pore volume. After adsorption of sandela 803, the S803@MSS was added into wallpaper to prepare fragrant wallpaper S803@MS-S-W. Silk has been widely used in the clothing industry due to their soft and smooth features,good biocompatibility,good heat dissipation,warmth and ultraviolet resistance.The application of fragrance to silk can significantly improve the performance of silk.However,there are two key scientific problems that need to be solved:slowing down the release rate of fragrances and increasing the scent lasting time of silk.In this study,cationic and temperature-sensitive liposomes were designed and prepared to encapsulate eugenol.These fragrance-loaded liposomes significantly slowed down the release rate of the fragrance and controlled the release rate of the fragrance in a thermo-sensitive manner.The liposomes adhered to the silk through electrostatic adsorption interaction.The positive charge on the fragranceloaded liposomes neutralized much negative charge on silk and thereby increasing the adhesion efficiency. 展开更多

In this communication,we used electrochemical sensor for recording the electrochemical profiles of eleven species of Yulania spp.from leaf extract.Two solvents and two buffer conditions were used for electrochemical fingerprints collection.Their electrochemical fingerprints can be converted to different patterns and consequently for species recognition.The results indicate the pattern recognition is much convenient than that of the recognition of species directly using voltammetric signal.The current information in electrochemical fingerprinting represents the type and amount of electrochemically active molecules,which linked to the genetic differences among the plants.Therefore,the electrochemical fingerprints were applied for further phylogenetic study.The phylogenetic tree deduced from voltametric curves is divided into three main groups.The first clade contains Y.denudate,Liriodendron chinense,Y.cylindrica,Y.biondii,Y.sprengeri.The second clade contains Y.zenii,Y.liliiflora,Y.kobus,and Y.amoena.The third clade contains Y.×soulangeana,Manglietia fordiana and Y.sinostellata.In addition,Y.salicifolia is not in these main clades.The results demonstrate that electrochemical fingerprinting can be used as a com-plementary tool in the study of phylogenetics. 展开更多

[ Objective] This study aimed to further expand the production and application of Cirmamomumjaponicum Sieb. and investigate the mechanism of cold resistance in evergreen broad-leaved tree species. [ Method] Using adult Cinnamonum campora as control, during the entire wintering period from October 2011 to March 2012, the wintering adaptability of C. japonicum leaves at different ages was observed; the electrolyte leakage was measured under indoor low-temperature treatment to calculate the semi-lethal temperature (LT50) by fitting Logistic equation, thus conducting dynamic analysis and comprehensive evaluation of the cold re- sistance in C. japonicum. [ Result] The results showed that the chilling injuries in leaves of different materials were aggravated with the decreasing temperature. According to the results of five times of dynamic observation on wintering adaptability, the cold resistance in different materials presented a decreasing order of adult C. japonicum medium-aged C. japonicum 〉 young C. japon/cum 〉 adult C. campora. The relationship between indoor low temperature and leaf injury rate showed an S-shaped curve. The significance test suggested relatively high fitting degree with Logistic equation. The semi-lethal temperature presented a V-shaped curve with the changing temperature and roached the minimum during late December to early February in the following year. The dynamic changes and minimum value of semi-lethal temperature indicated a consistent order of cold resistance in different materials to the results of wintering adaptability observation. Therefore, results of two analysis methods could be combined for cold resistance evaluation. [ Conclusion] This study laid the foundation for the introduction and populariza- tion of C. japonicum in northern gardens along the Yangtze River. 展开更多

Astronauts are under high stress for a long time because of the microgravity condition,which leads to anxiety,affects their learning and memory abilities,and seriously impairs the health of astronauts.Aromatherapy can improve the physical and mental health of astronauts in a way that moisturizes them softly and silently.However,the strong volatility of fragrances and inconvenience of aroma treatment greatly limit their application in the field of spaceflight.In this study,reactive mesoporous silica nanoparticles were prepared to encapsulate and slowly release limonene.The limonene loaded nanoparticles were named limonene@mesoporous silica nanoparticles-cyanuric chloride(LE@MSNs-CYC).LE@MSNs-CYC were then applied to wallpaper to improve the convenience of aromatherapy.LE@MSNs-CYC could chemically react with the wallpaper,thus firmly adsorbed on the wallpaper.In the following,the mice were treated with hindlimb unloading(HU)to simulate a microgravity environment.The results showed that 28-day HU led to an increase in the level of anxiety and declines in learning,memory,and physical health in mice.LE@MSNs-CYC showed significant relief effects on anxiety,learning,memory,and physical health of HU treated mice.Subsequently,the molecular mechanisms were explored by hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis related hormones,immune-related cytokines,learning,and memory-related neurotransmitters and proteins. 展开更多

Reactive oxygen species(ROS)-mediated oxidative stress exacerbates chronic diseases such as organ damage and neurodegenerative disorders.The Keap1-Nrf2-ARE pathway is a widely distributed endogenous antioxidant system.However,ROS under redox homeostasis regulates a wide range of life activities.Therefore,smart scavenging of excess ROS under pathological conditions is essential to treat chronic diseases safely.This study reports a smart antioxidant function enhancement(SAFE)strategy.On-demand release of nucleic acid drugs in a pathological ROS environment smartly activates the endogenous antioxidant system,thereby smartly alleviating oxidative stress in an exogenous antioxidant-independent manner.Through structural modulation and ligand modification,we develop SAFE nanoparticles based on nanohybrid complexes(SAFE-complex)adapted to brain delivery of nucleic acid drugs.SAFE-complex with homogeneous monodisperse structure efficiently treat ROS-related neurodegenerative diseases while protecting the major organ from oxidative stress damage.Moreover,SAFE-complex can stabilize storage in the form of freeze-dried powder.These data indicate that SAFE nanoparticles hold promise for treating ROS-related chronic diseases and comorbidities through rational transformation. 展开更多

Neuroinflammation is one of the three important pathological features in neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s disease(PD).The regulation of neuroinflammation can reduce the severity of neurological damage to alleviate diseases.Numerous studies have shown that the phenotype switch of microglia is tightly associated with the nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)-mediated inflammatory pathway.Therefore,the small interfering RNA(siRNA)therapy for downregulating the expression of NF-κB,provides a promising therapeutic strategy for Parkinson’s disease treatments.Considering the brain delivery challenges of siRNA,a sequential targeting inflammation regulation(STIR)delivery system based on poly(amino acid)s is developed to improve the therapeutic effects of Parkinson’s disease treatments.The STIR system sequentially targets the blood–brain barrier and the microglia to enhance the effective concentration of siRNA in the targeted microglia.The results demonstrate that the STIR nanoparticles can transform microglial phenotypes and regulate brain inflammation,thus achieving neuronal recovery and abnormal aggregation ofα-synuclein protein(α-syn)reduction in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.Herein,this STIR delivery system provides a promising therapeutic platform in PD treatments and has great potential for other neurodegenerative diseases’therapies. 展开更多
