Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate(DEHP),a widely used plasticizer,impairs cardiac development and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.Astaxanthin(ASX),a natural carotenoid,has recognized cardiovascular benefits,but i...Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate(DEHP),a widely used plasticizer,impairs cardiac development and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.Astaxanthin(ASX),a natural carotenoid,has recognized cardiovascular benefits,but its protective effects against DEHP-induced cardiac injury and underlying mechanisms remain unclear.Using transcriptomic data,bioinformatic analysis identified signaling pathways associated with DEHP-induced cardiac injury.Network pharmacology integrated with machine learning predicted potential ASX targets.The cardioprotective effects of ASX were validated in C57BL/6 mice and H9c2 cells to explore mechanisms in vivo and in vitro.Bioinformatic analysis revealed autophagy as a central pathway in DEHP cardiotoxicity,with PPAR-αidentified as a hub gene regulating autophagy.Experimental results showed that ASX significantly alleviated DEHP-induced cardiac injury,demonstrated by improved histopathology,reduced myocardial enzyme levels,and decreased oxidative stress.Western blotting confirmed that ASX reduced the expression of PPAR-α,Beclin 1,and LC3,whereas increasing p62 expression in DEHP-exposed mice and MEHP-treated H9c2 cells.These findings demonstrate that ASX mitigates DEHP-induced cardiac injury by suppressing autophagy through selective inhibition of PPAR-α.ASX supplementation may represent a promising dietary strategy to counteract cardiovascular toxicity from environmental pollutants.展开更多
Selective flotation of niobite is crucial for the efficient utilization of niobium resources.In this study,di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(DEHPA)was systematically investigated as a selective collector for niobite flotation...Selective flotation of niobite is crucial for the efficient utilization of niobium resources.In this study,di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(DEHPA)was systematically investigated as a selective collector for niobite flotation.Microflotation experiments demonstrated that DEHPA exhibits strong collecting ability toward niobite in a weakly acidic to neutral pH range(pH 5.0−8.0),resulting in high flotation recovery.Artificially mixed minerals flotation further confirmed that DEHPA enables efficient separation of niobite from calcite and quartz at pH 6 with an initial dosage of 1×10-4mol/L,indicating its excellent selectivity.Zeta potential measurements revealed a pronounced surface charge shift of niobite after DEHPA adsorption,suggesting specific interfacial interaction.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analyses indicated that DEHPA chemically adsorbs onto the niobite surface through chemical reaction between its O atom(s)of the P(=O)—O−groups and Nb(V)or Fe(Ⅱ/Ⅲ)species on niobite surface,generating the Nb(Ⅴ)or Fe(Ⅱ/Ⅲ)—O—P bonds,thereby enhancing mineral hydrophobicity.These results elucidate the selective adsorption mechanism of DEHPA on the niobite surface and provide theoretical guidance for the development of efficient phosphate collectors for niobium mineral flotation.展开更多

This paper reports the preparation of three di‑iron complexes containing a thiazole moiety.Esterification of complex[Fe2(CO)6(μ‑SCH2CH(CH2OH)S)](1)with 4‑methylthiazole‑5‑carboxylic acid gave the correspo...This paper reports the preparation of three di‑iron complexes containing a thiazole moiety.Esterification of complex[Fe2(CO)6(μ‑SCH2CH(CH2OH)S)](1)with 4‑methylthiazole‑5‑carboxylic acid gave the corresponding ester[Fe2(CO)6(μ‑tedt)](2),where tedt=SCH2CH(CH2OOC(5‑C3HNSCH3))S.Further reactions of complex 2 with tri(ptolyl)phosphine(tp)or tris(4‑fluorophenyl)phosphine(fp)gave the phosphine‑substituted derivatives[Fe2(CO)5(tp)(μ‑tedt)](3)and[Fe2(CO)5(fp)(μ‑tedt)](4).The structures of the newly prepared complexes were elucidated by elemental analysis,NMR,IR,and X‑ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Moreover,single‑crystal X‑ray diffraction analysis confirmed their molecular structures,showing that they contain a di‑iron core ligated by a bridged dithiolate bearing a thiazole moiety and terminal carbonyls.The electrochemical and electrocatalytic proton reduction were probed by cyclic voltammetry,revealing that three complexes can catalyze the reduction of protons to H2 under the electrochemical conditions.For comparison,complex 4 possessed the best efficiency with a turnover frequency of 23.5 s-1at 10 mmol·L-1HOAc concentration.In addition,the fungicidal activity of these complexes was also investigated in this study.CCDC:2477511,2;2477512,3;2477513,4.展开更多

The geo-herbalism of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is defined by excellent traits and excellent quality,which result from a microevolutionary process involving polygenic quantitative inheritance under environmental...The geo-herbalism of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is defined by excellent traits and excellent quality,which result from a microevolutionary process involving polygenic quantitative inheritance under environmental stress.Dao-di herbs exemplify the interaction between genotype and environment,wherein phenotypes emerge as a product of genotypic expression modified by environmental factors.Atractylodes lancea,a representative Dao-di herb,is distinguished by its specific geographical origin and distinct phenotype.Ecological suitability analysis indicates that A.lancea thrives in its native region of Maoshan,where it endures environmental stresses such as high temperature,humidity,and nutrient deficiencies.This review summarizes the excellent traits and quality of A.lancea and explores the environmental mechanisms underlying its geo-herbalism.By examining its microevolutionary adaptation to environmental stress,this study extends the theoretical framework of the adverse effects hypothesis in the formation of Dao-di herbs.展开更多
