Welding quality of electron beam welded joint is usually susceptible to the stability of keyhole during welding process.The more stable the keyhole,the better the welding quality.To reveal the evolution mechanism of keyhole and welding quality of the electron beam welded joint of magnesium-gadolinium alloy under different scanning path,numerical simulation was conducted for the changes in morphology of keyhole and liquid flow in molten pool.The magnesium-gadolinium alloy was welded by electron beam in vacuum with two different scanning paths,sinusoid path and cochleoid path,indicating the identical heat input,welding speed,and focusing state.The stability of keyhole was mainly related to the frequency of keyhole collapse.When the sinusoid scanning path was adopted,the fluids both inside the molten pool and at keyhole wall were disorder,corresponding to the numerous independent vortices and dramatically chaotic flows at their junctions.The maximum velocity of fluids ranged from 0.79 m/s to 1.02 m/s.The average and maximum depth of keyhole were 3.48 mm and 4.51 mm,respectively,meaning that the keyhole collapsed frequently.As the scanning path was changed into cochleoid mode,the electron beam scanned in a homogeneous manner without abrupt change in direction and speed like sinusoid path at its peaks and troughs.The maximum velocity of fluids was more uniform without drastic variation,ranging from 0.90 m/s to 1.01 m/s.The average and maximum depth of keyhole were decreased to 3.30 mm and 4.05 mm,respectively,indicating the more stable keyhole and alleviated collapse.Both the actual in-situ capture of molten pool signature and porosity inside the weld corresponded to the analysis of the change in keyhole stability. 展开更多

The physical characteristics of a plasma arc affect the stability of the keyhole and weld pool directly during keyhole plasma arc welding(KPAW).There will be significant change for these characteristics because of the interaction between the keyhole weld pool and plasma arc after penetration.Therefore,in order to obtain the temperature field,flow field,and arc pressure of a plasma arc under the reaction of the keyhole,the physical model of a plasma arc with a pre-set keyhole was established.In addition,the tungsten and base metal were established into the calculated domain,which can reflect the effect of plasma arc to weld pool further.Based on magneto hydrodynamics and Maxwell equations,a twoSdimensional steady state mathematical model was established.Considering the heat production of anode and cathode,the distribution of temperature field,flow field,welding current density,and plasma arc pressure were solved out by the finite difference method.From the calculated results,it is found that the plasma arc was compressed a second time by the keyhole.This additional constraint results in an obvious rise of the plasma arc pressure and flow velocity at the minimum diameter place of the keyhole,while the temperature field is impacted slightly.Finally,the observational and metallographic experiments are conducted,and the shapes of plasma arc and fusion line agree with the simulated results generally. 展开更多

During stable keyhole plasma arc welding, the pilot arc and the transferred arc exist at the meantime, and the arcs can be considered as a composition of two parts inside and outside the nozzle, respectively. Under the mechanical constriction and thermal contraction effects, the inside arc has certain arc length, electron density and arc profile etc. inducing constant tungsten-to-nozzle voltage. However, the arc outside the nozzle diverges at about 5 degrees and has certain characteristics similar to the free arcs. The nozzle-to-workpiece voltage (NTWV) depends mainly on the length of the arc, which gets bigger as increasing of the weld penetration and keyhole size. The NTWV sensor is developed for monitoring NTWV in real time. The welding experiments are designed to get different penetrations and keyhole sizes. It is found that as the weld penetration and the keyhole size increase, NTWV also increases linearly. The NTWV signals can be used as the feedback variable in automatic control of keyhole plasma arc welding. 展开更多

Experiments are conducted on stainless steel workpiece, Whole keyhole exit image and part of keyhole entrance image are captured synchronously under different welding conditions. Image processing and calibration algorithms are proposed. The boundary and front point of the keyhole entrance and exit are extracted respectively. The effects of welding current and welding speed on ,front point of keyhole entrance and exit are analyzed. Compared to the front point of the keyhole entrance, the position of the front point of the keyhole exit is better to reflect the variation of the welding parameters. 展开更多

Endoscopic cervical foraminotomy is increasingly used for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR),but there is great concern about radiation exposure because of the heavy dependence of this surgical method on fluoroscopy.The objective of this study was to introduce in detail an advanced surgical technique of keyhole foraminotomy via a percutaneous posterior full-endoscopic approach as a treatment for CSR and investigate its clinical outcomes.We retrospectively reviewed 33 consecutive patients with CSR who underwent keyhole foraminotomy via a percutaneous posterior full-endoscopic approach from October 2015 to April 2017.The patients’general characteristics,including operative time,blood loss,hospital stay,complications,and recurrence,were obtained.Clinical outcomes were evaluated using the visual analogue scale(VAS)for radicular pain,the neck disability index(NDI)for functional assessment,and the modified MacNab criteria for patient satisfaction.All operations were successfully performed(mean operation time,62 min),with no measurable blood loss or severe related complications.The mean follow-up was 25 months.The VAS and NDI scores were significantly improved as compared with those in the preoperative period(preoperative vs.final follow-up:7.6±1.6 vs.3.83±7.34 for VAS,P<0.01;69.5%±10.5%vs.17.54%±13.40%for NDI,P<0.01).Of the 33 patients,32(97.0%)had good-to-excellent global outcomes and all patients obtained symptomatic improvement.In conclusion,keyhole foraminotomy via a percutaneous posterior full-endoscopic approach is an efficient,safe,and feasible procedure for the treatment of CSR.Its simplified single-step blunt incision for localization appears to decrease radiation exposure risks. 展开更多

Keyhole gas tungsten arc welding(K-TIG)of Q345 low alloy steel plates was simulated by using SYSWELD software.The temperature field of the K-TIG welding process was simulated with three different combined heat sources and was compared with the weld profile that was obtained experimentally.The temperature field that was obtained by a combination of a double ellipsoid heat source on the upper half and a three-dimensional Gauss heat source on the lower half was similar to the real situation.The effects of plate thickness,gap and welding speed on the deformation and stress of the K-TIG welded joints were investigated by K-TIG welding numerical simulation.A reduction in the thickness of the weld plates reduced the z-direction deformation and transverse residual stress;an appropriate gap reduced the residual stress and an increase in the welding speed reduced deformation after welding,but did not help to control the residual stress after welding. 展开更多

以杭州湾南岸为研究区,利用1980年9月20日的Keyhole遥感影像与同一时期的Landsat MSS遥感影像,通过融合处理,获得既具有高空间分辨率又有多光谱分辨率的历史遥感影像,填补历史高分辨率遥感影像的空缺.研究结果将历史土地利用类型变化监... 以杭州湾南岸为研究区,利用1980年9月20日的Keyhole遥感影像与同一时期的Landsat MSS遥感影像,通过融合处理,获得既具有高空间分辨率又有多光谱分辨率的历史遥感影像,填补历史高分辨率遥感影像的空缺.研究结果将历史土地利用类型变化监测时间序列推前的同时,提高杭州湾南岸土地利用变化监测的精度.研究中将使用历史融合影像对杭州湾土地利用类型变化进行监测,同时结合1990-2020年4景Landsat遥感影像,获得杭州湾南岸地区近41年的土地利用情况,辅以前人的目视解译结果图,得到分类精度>90%的土地覆被利用分类结果.从面积变化、类型转化、年均变化率3方面分析讨论了1980-2020年间杭州湾南岸地区土地利用的时空变化特征.结果表明:1980-1990年,杭州湾南岸库塘呈减少的趋势,耕地逐渐向海岸地区扩张;1990-2020年,城市的扩张面积不断增加且呈现向海岸扩张的趋势,库塘的面积增加明显,主要表现在人工养殖场继续向海岸扩张.城市的发展是影响杭州湾南岸土地利用变化的主要因素,并且在杭州湾城市规划的同时应该充分考虑其生态环境的问题,加强自然湿地保护,严格控制自然湿地的开发规模,坚持可持续发展,在保护湿地的基础上进行合理的开发利用. 展开更多

Spectroscopic study on the relationship between the keyhole and arc light radiation intensity is pursued in plasma arc welding of stainless steel. It is found that there are salient changes similar to negative pulse in arc light radiant intensity signal with the characteristic changes of the keyhole. In addition, the above signal, which is of particular advantage for estimating the keyhole formation or closure, can be improved by means of detecting sensitive spectral line intensity. 展开更多

In this paper, a high-speed camera and an optical emission monitor were used to study the behavior of vapor/ plasma during CO2 laser welding of SUS304 stainless steel. Results of optical emission from vapor/plasma show that two characteristic frequency bands exist, 100 -500 Hz and 1 500 -3 500 Hz. At the same time, the changing images of vapor/ plasma and bottom pool also confirm that there are two different fluctuation frequency bands. One of the frequency bands represents the characteristic of vapor/plasma within the keyhole, and it is within 167 -500 Hz. Another frequency band is within 1 500 - 3 500 Hz, and it obviously derives from the shielding gas. Some factors may cause these frequency differences between the keyhole plasma and the shielding gas plasma. One of them is that the vapor/plasma pressure within the keyhole will increase slowly. 展开更多

It is one of the most difficult problems in acquiring coaxial image that the coaxial imaging signal of molten pool and keyhole must be separated from the laser beam with high power. This problem was resolved by designing a dichroitic spectroscope. The characteristics of imaging signal were analyzed and the coaxial image of molten pool and keyhole was acquired. A smoothing filter and a homomorphic filter were designed to remove the low frequency noise and to enhance the image according to the characteristics of imaging signal. At last, edges of molten pool and keyhole were detected and extracted based on image segmentation with threshold. 展开更多

Knowledge of transport phenomena and keyhole evolution is important for controlling laser welding process. However, it is still not well understood by far due to the complex phenomena occurring in a wide temperature range. A transient 3D model including heat transfer, fluid flow and tracking of free surface is built in this study. The transport phenomena are investigated by calculating the temperature and velocity fields. The 3D dynamic keyhole evolution process is revealed through tracking free surface using volume-of-fluid method. The results show that the keyhole deepening speed decreases with laser welding process before the quasi-steady state is reached. The plasma can greatly affect the keyhole depth through absorbing a great amount of laser energy and thus lowering the recoil pressure. Moreover, the relationship between keyhole depth and weld penetration is also discussed. This paper can help to better understand the dynamics in molten pool and then improve laser welding process. 展开更多

Keyhole at the end of a weld prepared by friction stir welding(FSW)is one of the major issues that impede the application of FSW.To address this issue,a keyhole filling technique was proposed in this paper,which is based on the principles of resistance spot welding(RSW).A three-phase secondary rectifier resistance spot welder was applied as the experimental instrument for filling the keyhole in the center of friction stir spot weld(FSSW).The test sheet is a 2024-T4 aluminium alloy with a thickness of 6.0mm.The experiments results show that the filled joint strength is improved by 26.12%since the area is increased for the plug in the keyhole.And there are two kinds of dimples in the tensile fracture-equiaxial dimples and long dimples.The filled joint involves the fusion welding zone(FWZ),pressure welding zone(PWZ),melted plug zone(MPZ),and plastic deformation zone(PDZ).The FWZ and the PWZ is the melting bond and diffusion bond between the plug and keyhole,respectively.The MPZ is the center part and the PDZ is upper or lower part of the plug. 展开更多

The influence of the longitudinal acceleration and the angular acceleration of detecting target based on vortex electromagnetic waves in keyhole space are analyzed.The spectrum spreads of different orbital angular momentum(OAM)modes in different non-line-of-sight situations are simulated.The errors of target accelerations in detection are calculated and compared based on the OAM spectra spreading by using two combinations of composite OAM modes in the keyhole space.According to the research,the effects about spectrum spreads of higher OAM modes are more obvious.The error in detection is mainly affected by OAM spectrum spreading,which can be reduced by reasonably using different combinations of OAM modes in different practical situations.The above results provide a reference idea for investigating keyhole effect when vortex electromagnetic wave is used to detect accelerations. 展开更多

目的探讨Keyhole术式在造口旁疝修补术中的应用效果。方法回顾性分析2013年4月至2014年12月河南省人民医院胃肠外科实施Keyhole术治疗的8例直肠癌术后结肠造口旁疝患者的临床资料。结果 8例手术均获成功。手术时间为48~162 min,平均106... 目的探讨Keyhole术式在造口旁疝修补术中的应用效果。方法回顾性分析2013年4月至2014年12月河南省人民医院胃肠外科实施Keyhole术治疗的8例直肠癌术后结肠造口旁疝患者的临床资料。结果 8例手术均获成功。手术时间为48~162 min,平均106 min。疝环直径3~5 cm,平均4.2 cm。术中出血5~75 ml,平均20 ml。术后2例发生补片区域血清肿,经彩超引导下穿刺引流后痊愈,未发生与手术相关的感染。术后住院时间为4~8 d,平均6.5 d。术后随访3~24个月,2例复发。结论 Keyhole术式在腹腔镜造口旁疝修补术中安全、可行,早期的临床疗效较理想,但复发率高,远期效果差。 展开更多
