Quality of service(Qo S)data that characterize historical user-service invocations that vary over time are vital to discovering patterns of cloud services and understanding user behaviors.Though effective, prevalent approaches never consider higher-order spatiotemporal connectivity within Qo S data, thus suffering from inferior performance. To address this critical issue, this paper presents spatiotemporal graph convolutional network(GCN)that is equipped with the functionality of latent factorization of tensors(SGLFT).It is achieved by introducing three key innovations:1)Proposing a tensor graph convolution based on the generalized tensor product technique for uniformly modeling the temporal and spatial patterns within dynamic user-service graphs;2)Incorporating the built layer-wise graph convolution into tensor factorization for efficiently capturing the implied spatiotemporal high-order connectivity;and 3)Developing a nodelevel attention pooling mechanism to perceive feature differences among neighbors and across time slots.Theoretical derivations are conducted to demonstrate that the expressivity of the graph neural network proposed in this paper is evidently higher than that of vanilla GCNs.Empirical studies on eight large-scale testing cases arising from two real-world dynamic Qo S datasets show that SGLFT substantially outperforms state-of-the-art Qo S estimators regarding estimation accuracy for missing dynamic QoS data. 展开更多

Background:Early adolescents(ages 11–15),mainly Chinese middle-school students, face academic tracking pressure for the high-school entrance exam and multiple stressors, with depressive symptoms detected in up to 21.9%of this group.Because this stage is a“critical window”for depression intervention and the Ministry of Education requires“stratified and classified interventions”,systematically identifying the patterns and dynamic transition patterns of adolescent depressive symptoms is of considerable practical and theoretical importance. This study aimed to identify the latent profiles and transitions of depressive symptoms among middle-school students and to examine how different types of stress, life satisfaction, and gender predict these transitions. Methods:Using cluster sampling,we recruited 434 middle-school students from Shandong Province,China. The Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale(CES-D),the Middle School Student Stressors Scale, and the Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS)were used to assess depressive symptoms, seven types of stress, and life satisfaction, respectively. Two follow-up surveys were conducted one year apart.Latent Profile Analysis(LPA)and Random-Intercept Latent Transition Analysis(RI-LTA)identified the latent depressive-symptom profiles and their transitions, and multinomial logistic regression tested the predictive effects of the stressors, life satisfaction, and gender on these transitions. Results:We identified three depressive-symptom profiles among middle-school students:“no depressive symptoms”(n=317 at T1;327 at T2),“low depressive symptoms”(n=95 at T1;87 at T2),and“moderate depressive symptoms”(n=23 at both time points).RI-LTA revealed four transition patterns:“asymptomatic stability”(n=241),“symptom stability”(n=32),“symptom remission”(n=82),and“symptom emergence and development”(n=79);“asymptomatic stability”was the most common and stable.Multiple stressors increased the odds of both“symptom emergence and development”(OR=1.90–2.57;p<0.01,p<0.001)and“symptom stability”(OR=1.56–1.66;p<0.05,p<0.01).Life satisfaction predicted transitions in opposite directions:it lowered the risk of“symptom emergence and development”(OR=0.70;p<0.05)but raised the likelihood of remaining in“symptom stability”(OR=1.62;p<0.05).Girls were more likely than boys to move into“symptom emergence and development”(OR=4.24;p<0.001).Conclusion:Three depressive-symptom profiles and four transition trajectories were delineated in Chinese middle school students.Stress, life satisfaction, and gender each predict distinct trajectory movement, offering preliminary empirical guidance for tiered and targeted interventions. 展开更多

The development of Unmanned Surface Vehicles(USVs)has become a key focus in marine robotics, fueling the need for navigation systems capable of performing complex and delicate tasks with speed and precision. However, the end-to-end path tracking process often encounters challenges in learning efficiency, and generalization, and varying environmental conditions. To achieve sample-efficient and robust USV navigation in dynamic maritime environments, the paper proposes a novel hierarchical multi-view latent imitation learning(IL)architecture.By formulating a latent IL objective, the framework disentangles diverse navigation modalities through continuous variables, preventing mode collapse and enhancing behavioral adaptability to non-stationary conditions.High-dimensional multi-view observations are transformed via a ViT-based backbone into compressed latent features to minimize redundant environmental information. These representations are processed by a Mamba-based action encoder, which leverages selective state-space modeling to capture long-term temporal dependencies with high computational efficiency.A UNet-based decoder subsequently forecasts optimal action sequences by synthesizing spatial maps to infer critical environment-agent relationships. This preliminary multi-view latent IL-based trajectory ensures precise tracking and dynamic stability while adhering to physical vehicle constraints.Experimental results validate that this end-to-end approach achieves robust path planning effectiveness, obstacle avoidance capability, and model training efficiency in complex,multi-modal maritime scenarios. 展开更多

To explore the application of multifunctional fluorescent dye,a triphenylamine-based difluoroboron compound with an electron donor-acceptor molecular conformation was designed and successfully synthesized. It is found that it not only has the intramolecular charge transfer characteristics and solvatochromism, but also exhibits aggregation-induced emission performance. These photophysical properties can be well explained by theoretical calculation results.Furthermore,it displays reversible mechanofluorochromism behavior, which originates from phase transition between crystalline and amorphous states, confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction analysis.Leveraging this mechanofluorochromism behavior, the prepared safety paper exhibits anti-counterfeiting characteristics, demonstrating a repeatedly rewritable ink-free writing capability.A developer prepared from a dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)/H2O mixture[water content of 60%(φ),c=1×10-5mol/L]could visualize latent fingerprint on both non-porous and porous substrates.Further analysis revealed that it could detect the ridge details of fingerprint containing sweat pore from photographs of imaging, which could be applied to personal identification. And latent fingerprint imaging originates from the interaction between oleic acid in sweat secretions and the dye. 展开更多

Latent fingerprints are crucial for suspect identification and crime scene reconstruction. While 1,2-indanedione-based fingerprint development techniques demonstrate high sensitivity in reacting with amino acids present in fingerprint residue and good adaptability to porous substrates, their practical value is constrained by environmental instability, operational complexity, and reliance on high-temperature treatments.Drawing inspiration from the enhanced visualisation of fingerprints deposited by skincare product users, this study innovatively introduced propylene glycol and glycerol as cosolvents into the 1,2-indanedione formulation. The hydroxyl groups of these additives form stable hemiketal adducts with 1,2-indanedione’s carbonyl moieties, thereby accelerating reaction kinetics with amino acids and amplifying fluorescence intensity. The optimisation results indicate that the new formulation, incorporating 2 mL of propylene glycol as a cosolvent, eliminates thermal treatment and boosts the fingerprint development rate on copy paper from 71%to 93%.Additionally,the optimised 1,2-indanedione working solution reduces methanol content by 75%,achieving dual benefits of reduced toxicity and superior fluorescence emission.Systematic evaluations confirm the method’s robustness across diverse substrates and its ability to develop aged fingerprints(up to 8 months under ambient conditions)without thermal assistance.Crucially, comparative analyses of pre-and post-treatment document examination and biological assays confirm that the optimised protocol not only enhances fingerprint visualisation but also preserves forensic integrity for downstream analyses. This breakthrough establishes a practical framework for integrating the optimised 1,2-indanedione formulation into multimodal forensic workflows. 展开更多

Weather forecasting, which involves predicting a few critical atmospheric variables,is of significant importance to both scientific research and societal applications.Recently, deep learning methods have been introduced into this field due to their substantially reduced inference time and promising forecast accuracy. However,to comprehensively simulate atmospheric state evolution and improve the prediction accuracy of critical variables, most current approaches incorporate hundreds of auxiliary variables and iteratively predict all physical variables regardless of their relevance to critical variables, significantly increasing task complexity. Moreover, iterative forecasting of physical variables is susceptible to disturbances such as noise and missing values. To address these limitations,we propose a forecasting model to iteratively predict only the critical-variables-relevant atmospheric latent features rather than all physical variables, which achieves faster convergence and higher accuracy. These latent features are encoded and extracted from numerous variables, and they are guided by the prediction loss function to be relevant to critical atmospheric variables.Additionally, iteratively predicting latent features minimizes the impact of noise and missing values,as these are filtered out by the encoder, leading to more accurate and stable predictions. To balance performance and efficiency,we determine the optimal dimensionality of the latent features through theoretical analysis and ablation studies.Comprehensive experimental results on two ERA5 sub-datasets have demonstrated the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed framework in improving forecasting accuracy. 展开更多

The atmospheric surface layer of the tropical coastal ocean is commonly very unstable and experiences weakwind conditions. How the latent(LE)and sensible(H)heat fluxes behave under such conditions are unclear because of the lack of observation stations in the tropics. Thus, this study aims to analyze LE and H and the microclimate parameters influencing them. The authors deployed an eddy covariance system in a tropical coastal region for seven months. The microclimate parameters investigated were wind speed(U),vapor pressure deficit(Δe),temperature difference(ΔT),wind-vapor pressure deficit(UΔe),wind-temperature difference(UΔT),and atmospheric stability(z/L),where z is height and L is the Monin–Obukhov length. On the daily time scale, the results show that LE was more associated with U thanΔe,while H was more related toΔT than U.Cross-wavelet analysis revealed the strong coherence in the LE-U relationship for periods between one and two days, and for H–ΔT,0.5 to 1 day.Correlation and regression analyses confirmed the time series analyses results, where strong positive correlation coefficients(r)were obtained between LE and U(r=0.494)and H andΔT(r=0.365).Compared to other water bodies, the transfer coefficient of moisture(CE N)was found to be small(=0.40×10-3)and independent of stability;conversely, the transfer coefficient of heat(CH N)was closer to literature values(=1.00×10-3)and a function of stability. 展开更多

Objective:To identify tuberculosis preventive treatment nonadherence mechanisms via the Capability,Opportunity,Motivation, and Behavior(COM-B)framework for latent tuberculosis infection patients. Methods:This study was conducted in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines.Relevant literature reporting factors associated with tuberculosis preventive treatment discontinuation or completion was included.Identified determinants were synthesized and mapped across the COM-B domains.Results:Twenty-seven studies were included.Treatment discontinuation rates varied widely(2.0%-66.8%),with consistently higher rates observed in longer regimens(6 months of isoniazid, and 9 months of isoniazid)compared with shorter regimens(3 months of isoniazid plus rifapentine,3 months of isoniazid plus rifampin, and 4 months of rifampin).Adverse drug reactions, particularly hepatotoxicity, emerged as the most consistent predictor of discontinuation, reflecting impaired physical capability.Opportunity-related factors included healthcare system fragmentation, transportation challenges, and limited access to services.Reduced motivation was associated with stigma, low risk perception, and negative treatment beliefs.Interventions such as shorter regimens,patient-centered care, healthcare worker supervision, and digital adherence technologies were associated with improved treatment completion. These findings suggest that treatment discontinuation results from dynamic interactions between treatment-related burden, healthcare accessibility, and patient motivation. Conclusions:Clinical tolerance, structural and behavioral factors interact to cause latent tuberculosis infection discontinuation.COM-B guides targeted interventions:shorter regimens, adverse drug reaction management, and improved access and motivation. 展开更多

The remnant of Typhoon Haikui(2311)caused extreme precipitation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, breaking multiple precipitation records in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.In this study, three microphysical schemes,LIUMA,WSM6,and THOM,were selected for a simulation based on CMA-MESO V6.0.Forecast performance, errors in the prediction of various meteorological elements, microphysical variables, and their changes were compared across the different schemes.Additionally, latent heat sensitivity tests were conducted for further analysis. The LIUMA run exhibited a slightly higher threat score(TS)and a higher bias than the other two runs.In the region experiencing heavy precipitation, all three runs showed peaks of significant snow and graupel totals near the 0℃ layer, and peaks of rainwater near 3 km.The contribution of ice-phase particles varied among the schemes, with WSM6 contributing mostly graupel and THOM and LIUMA contributing mostly snow. The LIUMA run demonstrated a significantly larger net latent heat release near the 0℃ layer compared to the WSM6 and THOM runs and forecasted stronger warm core structures and remnants of a landfalling tropical cyclone(LTC).All three runs predicted a warm-core structure located to the east of the low-level center of the LTC remnant, which slowed the westward movement of the remnant and facilitated the maintenance of heavy precipitation.Compared to the WSM6 and THOM experiments, the LIUMA experiment released significantly more latent heat near the 0℃ layer and forecast a stronger warm-core structure and LTC remnants, leading to more false alarms.Latent heat sensitivity tests revealed the importance of latent heat feedback from microphysical processes, indicating that a decrease in latent heat could lead to a rapid westward weakening of the LTC remnant and an increase in forecast error. The model also exhibited significant uncertainty in its extreme precipitation forecasts, which could affect the overall forecast field through latent heat release. 展开更多

Background:Exposure to environmental vulnerability poses significant threats to adolescent suicidal ideation, while individual resilience can mitigate these adverse effects with notable gender commonalities and differences. However, research examining how these factors co-configure at the individual level remains limited, particularly from a gender-specific perspective. Thus, the present study aims to adopt a person-centered analytic approach to identify gender-specific configurations of environmental vulnerability and individual resilience associated with suicidal ideation among Chinese adolescents. Methods:Data were collected from 2616 Chinese primary and secondary school students(aged 10–17;1223 girls).Participants completed validated scales measuring environmental vulnerability, individual resilience, and suicidal ideation.Latent profile analysis(LPA)was conducted separately by gender. Results:Gender differences were prominent:males exhibited higher resilience and lower suicidal ideation, while females reported higher environmental vulnerability and elevated levels of suicidal ideation.LPA identified three distinct profiles for males:Low Vulnerable–High Protective–Low Risk(LHL),Medium Vulnerable–Low Protective–Low Risk(MLL),and High Vulnerable–Low Protective–High Risk(HLH).Four profiles emerged for females:LHL,MLL,Medium Vulnerable–Low Protective–Medium Risk(MLM),and HLH.Crucially, within the HLH profile, males exhibited particularly deficient humor(η2=0.19)and confidence(η2=0.16),while females formed a distinct subgroup characterized by severe academic and family stressors(η2=0.30–0.36).Conclusion:The study underscores developing gender-specific mental health interventions using a nuanced,person-centered approach that considers both environmental risk and individual resilience factors, which allows for targeted suicide prevention strategies addressing the unique needs of male and female adolescents. 展开更多

Feature selection is essential for dimensionality reduction on big data, but it faces considerable challenges when applied to high-dimensional and sparse datasets. To address these challenges, this paper proposes Unconstrained Latent Factorization-based Improved Relief-F(ULF-IR),a novel feature selection method tailored for such complex scenarios. The method integrates two main components:(1)a double factorization(DF)-based unconstrained latent factor model is employed to accurately reconstruct missing data without relying on pre-imputation or strict non-negativity constraints;(2)an improved Relief-F(IRelief-F)algorithm assigns reliable importance weights to features, effectively differentiating among highly similar features even in the presence of noise introduced during imputation.Comprehensive experiments on three real-world datasets show that ULF-IR consistently surpasses state-of-the-art methods in both classification accuracy and robustness, demonstrating its effectiveness as a dependable solution for feature selection on high-dimensional,incomplete data. 展开更多

Surface-latent heat(LE)and sensible heat(SH)fluxes play a pivotal role in governing hydrological, biological, geochemical, and ecological processes on the land surface in the Tibetan Plateau. However,to accurately assess and understand the spatial distribution of LE and SH fluxes across different underlying surfaces,it is crucial to verify the validity and reliability of ERA-5,GLDAS,and MODIS data against ground measurements obtained from the Flux Net micrometeorological tower network. This study analyzed the spatial patterns of LE and SH over the Tibetan Plateau using data from ERA-5,GLDAS,and MODIS.The results were compared with ground measurements from Flux Net tower observations on different underlying surfaces, and five statistical parameters(Pearson's r,LR slope,RMSE,MBE,and MAE)were used to validate the data. The results showed that:(1)MODIS LE data and ERA-5 SH data exhibited the closest agreement with ground observations,as indicated by their lowest root mean square error and mean bias area values.(2)The accuracy of ERA-5 SH was the highest in meadows and steppes, while GLDAS SH performed optimally in shrublands.Notably,MODIS LE consistently outperformed the other datasets across all vegetation types.(3)The spatial distribution of LE and SH displayed considerable heterogeneity, contingent upon the specific data sources and underlying surfaces.Notably, there was a contrasting trend between GLDAS and ERA-5,as well as MODIS,in terms of SH distribution in the shrubland. In shrublands and meadows,MODIS SH and LE exhibited more pronounced changes than ERA-5 and GLDAS.Additionally,ERA-5 SH demonstrated the opposite variation in meadow and steppe regions compared to GLDAS and MODIS. 展开更多

Objectives:SocialNetworkAddiction(SNA)is becoming increasingly prevalent among college students;however, there remains a lack of consensus regarding the measurement tools and their optimal cutoff score. This study aims to validate the 21-item SocialNetwork Addiction Scale-Chinese(SNAS-C)in its Chinese version and to determine its optimal cutoff score for identifying potential SNA cases within the college student population. Methods:A crosssectional survey was conducted, recruiting 3387 college students.Latent profile analysis(LPA)and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis were employed to establish the optimal cutoff score for the validated 21-item SNAS-C.Results:Three profile models were selected based on multiple statistical criteria, classifying participants into low-risk,moderate-risk,and high-risk groups. The highest-risk group was defined as“positive”for SNA,while the remaining groups were considered“negative”,serving as the reference standard for ROC analysis. The optimal cutoff score was determined to be 72(sensitivity:98.2%,specificity:96.86%),with an overall classification accuracy of 97.0%.The“positive”group reported significantly higher frequency of social network usage, greater digitalmedia dependence scores, and a higher incidence of network addiction. Conclusion:This study identified the optimal cutoff score for the SNAS-C as≥72,demonstrating high sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic accuracy. This threshold effectively distinguishes between high-risk and low-risk SNA. 展开更多

In modern forensic science, fingerprints are critical evidence due to their uniqueness and difficulty to replicate. However,it is challenging to observe and identify some latent fingerprints(LFP),because alternative processing methods for recognition are often required. The use of Eu3+-doped phosphors, which emit red-orange light, presents an effective approach for enhancing the visibility of LFP.Eu3+-doped Ba2LuSbO6(BLSO)phosphors were synthesized using a high-temperature solid-state method, aiming to improve the recognition of LFP for enhanced fingerprint identification. The phase structure of the fluorescent powder samples was analyzed through X-ray diffraction(XRD)combined with Rietveld refinement,as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Photoluminescence spectra of Ba2LuSbO6:xEu3+phosphor samples exhibit orange-red emission peaks at595 and 618 nm when excited by 250 nm deep ultraviolet light.Concentration quenching is observed at a doping concentration of 20 mol%.The Ba2LuSbO6:0.2Eu3+phosphor sample demonstrates exceptional thermal stability, with value of 92.50% at 423 K.The quantum efficiency of the Ba2LuSbO6:0.2Eu3+phosphor sample was evaluated using an integrating sphere, yielding an IQE of 79.34%.In order to visualize latent fingerprints(LFPs),hydrophilic BLSO:0.2Eu3+phosphors were transformed into hydrophobic BLSO:0.2Eu3+@OA phosphors through a coating of oleic acid(OA).The BLSO:0.2Eu3+@OA phosphor proves capable of generating dependable LFP fluorescence images with superior contrast and resolution. These findings underscore the significant potential for application of BLSO:0.2Eu3+products LFP visualization. 展开更多

The latent heat thermal energy storage system with solid-liquid phase-change material(SLPCM-LHTES)as energy storage medium provides outstanding advantages such as system simplicity, stable temperature control, and high energy storage density, showing great potential toward addressing the energy storage problems associated with decentralized, intermittent, and unstable renewable energy sources.Notably, effective heat transfer within the SLPCM-LHTES is crucial for extending its application potential. Therefore,a comprehensive understanding of the heat transfer processes in SLPCM-LHTES from a theoretical perspective is necessary. In this review,we propose a three-stage heat transfer pathway in SLPCM-LHTES,including external heating, interfacial heat transfer, and intrinsic phase transition processes. From the perspective of this three-stage pathway, the theoretical basis of heat transfer processes and typical efficiency enhancement strategies in SLPCM-LHTES are summarized. Moreover,an overview of the typical applications of SLPCM-LHTES in various fields, such as building energy efficiency, textiles and garments, and battery thermal management,is presented. Finally, the remaining challenges and possible avenues of research in this burgeoning field will also be discussed. 展开更多

In the field of organic synthesis, the core objective of retrosynthetic methods is to deduce possible synthetic routes and precursor molecules for complex target molecules.Traditional retrosynthetic methods, such as template-based retrosynthesis, have high accuracy and interpretability in specific types of reactions but are limited by the scope of the template library, making it difficult to adapt to new or uncommon reaction types.Moreover,sequence-to-sequence retrosynthetic prediction methods, although they enhance the flexibility of prediction, often overlook the complexity of molecular graph structures and the actual interactions between atoms, which limits the accuracy and reliability of the predictions. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a Molecular Retrosynthesis Top-k Prediction based on the Latent Generation Process(MRLGP)that uses latent variables from graph neural networks to model the generation process and produce diverse set of reactants.Utilising an encoding method based on Graphormer, the authors have also introduced topology-aware positional encoding to better capture the interactions between atomic nodes in the molecular graph structure, thereby more accurately simulating the retrosynthetic process. The MRLGP model significantly enhances the accuracy and diversity of predictions by correlating discrete latent variables with the reactant generation process and progressively constructing molecular graphs using a variational autoregressive decoder.Experimental results on benchmark datasets such as USPTO-50k,USPTO-Full,and USPTO-DIVERSE demonstrate that MRLGP outperforms baseline models on multiple Top-k evaluation metrics.Additionally, ablation experiments conducted on the USPTO-50K dataset further validate the effectiveness of the methods used in the encoder and decoder parts of the model. 展开更多

Background:In China, the policy of rotating teachers between urban and rural schools has been implemented to reduce educational disparities and ensure equitable access to quality education. These teachers face unique professional and emotional challenges during the rotation process, making their emotional labor a critical factor influencing their job performance. This study aimed to explore the relationship between rotating teachers’emotional labor strategies and job performance. Methods:This study conducted a cross-sectional survey among 577 rotating teachers selected through stratified random sampling from primary and secondary schools in Chinese mainland.Date were collected using the Teacher Emotional Labor Scale and the Teacher Job Performance Scale.Latent profile analysis(LPA)was employed to identify distinct categories of emotional labor strategies:indifferent, moderately engaged, naturally invested, proactively adjusted, and emotionally elevated. Results:Teachers in the naturally invested and proactively adjusted types demonstrated relatively higher job performance scores, followed by those in the emotionally elevated type.In contrast, teachers in the indifferent and moderate engagement types exhibited comparatively lower scores(F=25.858,p<0.001,η2=0.153).These findings indicate a practical significance, suggestion that flexible and adaptive use emotional labor strategies is strongly associated with enhanced job performance. Conclusion:This study demonstrates that rotating teachers’job performance differs significantly across distinct emotional labor profiles, with balanced and adaptive emotional regulation emerging as a key determinant of higher performance.By identifying and characterizing individual-centered emotional labor profiles, the study advances understanding of how emotional regulation contributes to teachers’professional effectiveness. These results underscore the importance of providing systematic and personalized support to help rotating teachers develop adaptive emotional regulation skills.Targeted guidance should enable teachers to appropriately express and adjust their emotions, thereby avoiding both excessive and insufficient emotional labor and promoting sustainable professional development. 展开更多
