Nitrilotrimethylene phosphonic acid(nitrilotri,ATMP)enables effective flotation separation of fluorite from bastnaesite through selective surface modification.A multi-technique investigation including micro-flotation tests,zeta potential measurements,contact angle analysis,adsorption studies,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)characterization,and quantum chemical calculations can elucidate the inhibition mechanism.Single-mineral and synthetic mixed-ore flotation experiments demonstrate ATMP's selective inhibition toward bastnaesite,achieving>70%fluorite recovery with<12%bastnaesite recovery at optimal dosage(40 g).Mechanistic studies reveal that ATMP preferentially chemisorbs at Ce3+active sites on bastnaesite surfaces through dual mechanisms:Firstly,nitrilotri undergoes chemisorption with Ce active sites on the bastnaesite surface,forming Ce-PO(OH)2complexes that exhibit strong adsorption on the mineral surface.Secondly,the three phosphonate groups of nitrilotri are arranged in a triangular configuration with an interatomic distance of 0.7512 nm,which spatially aligns with the Ce sites(0.7186 nm interatomic spacing)on bastnaesite.Each nitrilotri molecule chemisorbs with three Ce sites,yielding an adsorption energy of 294.624 kJ/mol,being indicative of a thermodynamically favorable interaction.This site-specific adsorption generates a hydrophilic Ce-phosphonate interface that destabilizes collector(NaOL)adsorption,reducing bastnaesite surface hydrophobicity by 42.78%(contact angle decreases from 65.23°to 22.45°).Conversely,nitrilotri exhibits limited interaction with fluorite due to geometric mismatch at Ca2+sites,allowing NaOL-dominated hydrophobization to persist.The fundamental understanding of ligand-receptor complementarity presented here provides a promising strategy for rare earth/fluorite sepa ration in industrial bene ficiation circuits. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Low anterior resection syndrome(LARS)severely compromises patients’quality of life after sphincter-preserving surgery for rectal cancer.Although the etiology of LARS is multifactorial,the tumor location is considered a primary determinant,as it directly governs the height of the surgical anastomosis.However,it remains unclear whether the initial functional deficit and the subsequent long-term recovery trajectory differ according to the tumor height.The longitudinal evolution of LARS in patients with ultra-low rectal cancer is not well characterized.Clarifying these distinct recovery patterns is essential for developing personalized postoperative rehabilitation and functional training protocols for patients with different tumor locations.AIM To compare the postoperative features and longitudinal recovery trajectories of LARS between patients with ultra-low and non-ultra-low rectal cancer.METHODS In this single-center prospective cohort study(June 2018 to January 2024),patients undergoing sphincterpreserving surgery were stratified into ultra-low(≤3 cm from the dentate line)and non-ultra-low(>3 cm)tumor groups.LARS scores were systematically collected via follow-up at 1-,3-,6-,9-,and 12-month postoperatively.After propensity score matching,A generalized estimating equation(GEE)model was used to model the longitudinal LARS data,assessing the effects of group,time,and their interaction while accounting for repeated measures.RESULTS The final analysis included a matched cohort of 220 patients(110 per group).At all postoperative follow-up points,the ultra-low group demonstrated a significantly higher incidence of LARS(e.g.,1 month,75.5%vs 51.8%;12 months,30.0%vs 14.5%;all P<0.05).Longitudinal GEE modeling confirmed that an ultra-low tumor location was associated with a persistently higher overall odds of LARS throughout the first year(OR=2.858,95%CI=1.611-5.070;P<0.001).A significant time effect(P<0.001)signaled functional improvement in both cohorts.Critically,the non-significant group-by-time interaction(P=0.900)revealed that the groups followed parallel recovery trajectories.CONCLUSION All patients exhibited improved gastrointestinal function over the first year,but those with ultra-low tumors had significantly worse baseline function and persistently higher LARS risk,underscoring the need for tailored management. 展开更多

Background:The optimal surgical approach for ureteral urothelial carcinoma(UUC)remains uncertain,particularly when balancing oncologic control against kidney preservation.We compared survival after kidney-sparing surgery(KSS)versus radical nephroureterectomy(RNU)in patients with UUC and examined whether this association varied across clinical subgroups.Methods:We identified 2841 patients with primary UUC in the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)database(2000-2021).Propensity score matching(PSM)generated 1646 patients.Overall survival(OS)and cancer-specific survival(CSS)were evaluated using Cox regression models and Kaplan-Meier estimates.Subgroup analyses were stratified by TNM stage,lymph node dissection(LND)status,tumor size,and other clinicopathological factors.Results:Before matching,survival did not differ significantly between KSS and RNU(OS:HR=0.91,95%CI:0.83-1.01;P=0.064;CSS:HR=0.96,95%CI:0.85-1.08;P=0.493).After PSM,RNU was associated with better survival than KSS(OS:HR=0.85,95%CI:0.75-0.96;P=0.007;CSS:HR=0.84,95%CI:0.72-0.98;P=0.025).Exploratory subgroup analyses suggested that this association was more apparent in patients with T1/N0/M0 disease,those who did not undergo LND,patients with tumors measuring 5-10 cm,and those diagnosed during 2015-2021.Multivariable analyses showed that surgical type remained independently associated with survival alongside age,year of diagnosis,histology,grade,stage,and tumor size.Conclusions:In this SEER-based population-level cohort,RNU was associated with better OS and CSS than KSS after PSM,whereas no statistically significant survival difference was observed before matching.Given the retrospective registry-based design,potential residual treatment-selection bias,and heterogeneity among KSS modalities,these findings should be interpreted as associations and support further validation in datasets with more detailed clinical and operative information. 展开更多

BACKGROUND While fast track surgery(FTS)protocols have optimized physiological recovery in colorectal cancer(CRC),their highly procedural nature often overlooks the individualized humanistic needs of patients,particularly those facing the psychological challenges of a stoma.AIM To evaluate whether an integrated Watson-based FTS(Watson-FTS)care model is associated with measurable improvements in physiological recovery,complication rates,and humanistic process of care indicators in CRC patients undergoing stoma surgery.METHODS A retrospective cohort study was conducted involving 312 patients(Watson-FTS group,n=165;routine care group,n=147).To control for confounding factors such as age,surgical approach,and baseline psychological distress,1:1 propensity score matching was performed,resulting in 125 well-matched pairs(n=250).Primary outcomes included time to first flatus and overall postoperative complications.Secondary outcomes,including nutritional markers[prealbumin(PA)]and protocol adherence,were analyzed using generalized estimating equations(GEEs).RESULTS In the matched cohort,the Watson-FTS group demonstrated a significantly shorter mean time to first flatus[52.4±10.8 hours vs 68.1±13.5 hours;adjusted beta=-15.2 hours,95%confidence interval(CI):-18.4 to-12.0,P<0.001].The incidence of overall postoperative complications was significantly lower in the Watson-FTS group[15.2%vs 30.4%;adjusted odds ratio(aOR)=0.39,95%CI:0.21-0.72,P=0.003],specifically regarding stoma-related events(4.8%vs 12.8%,P=0.024).Longitudinal GEE analysis revealed a significantly faster recovery trajectory for PA levels in the Watson-FTS group(interaction P<0.001)and superior protocol adherence by postoperative day 5(91.2%vs 70.4%,P<0.001).Multivariable regression confirmed the Watson-FTS intervention as the strongest independent predictor for successful early recovery(aOR=3.62,P<0.001).CONCLUSION Integrating Jean Watson’s humanistic caring theory into the FTS pathway is associated with enhanced physiological and functional recovery.The Watson FTS model is linked to a lower incidence of complications and more stable metabolic recovery,offering a superior alternative to standardized procedural care for patients with colorectal stomas. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Functional dyspepsia(FD)and gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)exhibit substantial symptom overlap(40%-50%),and up to one-third of patients diagnosed with FD demonstrate pathologic acid exposure on objective testing.While GERD is a well-established risk factor for Barrett’s esophagus(BE),the association between FD diagnosis and BE risk remains unexplored.Understanding this relationship is critical because FD is typically diagnosed symptomatically without routine objective reflux testing in clinical practice,potentially masking undiagnosed GERD or identifying shared pathophysiologic mechanisms.We hypothesized that patients diagnosed with FD demonstrate an elevated risk for BE and Barrett’s-associated dysplasia compared to matched controls.AIM To investigate the association between FD diagnosis and the risk of BE and dysplasia.METHODS This retrospective cohort study utilized the TriNetX Global Collaborative Network database.Patients diagnosed with FD(International Classification of Diseases,10th Revision code K30)between January 2006 and December 2022 were identified,and propensity-score matched 1:1 with controls based on demographics,comorbidities,and GERD diagnosis.The primary outcomes were the development of BE and Barrett’s-associated dysplasia.Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was performed to calculate hazard ratios(HR)with 95%confidence intervals(CI).A sensitivity analysis was conducted to include patients with documented esophagoduodenoscopy during the study period.RESULTS After PSM,384267 patients were included in each cohort.Patients with FD demonstrated significantly higher risk for BE(HR:1.900,95%CI:1.813-1.991),Barrett's associated dysplasia(HR:3.568,95%CI:3.064-4.155),and esophageal cancer(HR:1.649,95%CI:1.450-1.875).Sensitivity analysis confirmed the increased risk of BE and dysplasia but not esophageal cancer.CONCLUSION Patients diagnosed with FD demonstrate substantially elevated risk for BE and dysplasia.This association,whether reflecting undiagnosed GERD,shared pathophysiology,or both,identifies FD patients as a higher-risk population warranting consideration of objective reflux testing and selective endoscopic evaluation in appropriate clinical contexts. 展开更多

AIM:To compare analysis of the impact of high altitude on corneal endothelial cells,and the prognosis in patients with cataract surgeries.METHODS:Totally 265 plateau patients with cataract surgeries performed between January 2019 and July 2022(average altitude=3000 m),and 524 plain patients with cataract surgeries performed between January 2020 and July 2022 were included.The propensity score matching(PSM)method was applied to match the basic information of patients in both regions on a 1:1 basis.Corneal endothelial cell density(ECD),coefficient of variation(CV),hexagonal cell ratio(HEX),duration of surgery,and pre-and postoperative visual acuity(VA)were compared retrospectively,and correlation tests were done.RESULTS:Totally 223 pairs have been matched successfully.The HEX in the plateau group was higher than that in the plain group(61.95%±6.191%vs 44.91%±6.829%,P0.1).The pre-and postoperative VA of patients with cataract surgeries in the plateau group were lower(1.40±0.610 vs 0.71±0.514,P0.05),while the post-operative VA was significantly related to the pre-operative VA and the duration of surgery(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The relative hypoxic environment of the plateau does not promote the apoptosis of corneal endothelial cells,but may lead to the compensatory increase of their functions.In plateau patients,no significant associations are found between the poor VA and the corneal endothelial functions early after cataract surgeries. 展开更多

In this study,the wave motion in elastodynamics for unbounded media is modeled using an unsplit-field perfectly matched layer(PML)formulation that is solved by employing an isogeometric analysis(IGA).In the adopted combination,the non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS)functions are employed as basis functions.Moreover,the unbounded and artificial domains,defined in the PML method,are contained in a single patch domain.Based on the proposed scheme,the approximation of the geometry problem is set in a new scheme in which the PML’s absorbing and attenuation properties and the description of traveling waves can be represented.This includes a higher continuity and smoother approximation of the computed domain.As high-order NURBS basis functions are non-interpolatory,a penalty method is present to apply a time-dependent displacement load.The performance of the NURBS-based PML is analyzed through numerical examples for 1D and 2D domains,considering homogeneous and heterogeneous media.Further,we verify the long-time numerical stability of the present method.The developed method can be used to simulate hypothetical stratified domains commonly encountered in soil-structure interaction analyses. 展开更多

Objective The objective of our study was to evaluate the vaccine effectiveness(VE)of the pentavalent rotavirus vaccine(RV5)among<5-year-old children in three provinces of China during 2020-2024 via a propensity score-matched test-negative case-control study.Methods Electronic health records and immunization information systems were used to obtain data on acute gastroenteritis(AGE)cases tested for rotavirus(RV)infection.RV-positive cases were propensity score matched with RV-negative controls for age,visit month,and province.Results The study included 27,472 children with AGE aged 8 weeks to 4 years at the time of AGE diagnosis;7.98%(2,192)were RV-positive.The VE(95%confidence interval,CI)of 1-2 and 3 doses of RV5 against any medically attended RV infection(inpatient or outpatient)was 57.6%(39.8%,70.2%)and 67.2%(60.3%,72.9%),respectively.Among children who received the 3rd dose before turning 5 months of age,3-dose VE decreased from 70.4%(53.9%,81.1%)(<5 months since the 3rd dose)to 63.0%(49.1%,73.0%)(≥1 year since the 3rd dose).The three-dose VE rate was 69.4%(41.3%,84.0%)for RVGE hospitalization and 57.5%(38.9%,70.5%)for outpatient-only medically attended RVGE.Conclusion Three-dose RV5 VE against rotavirus gastroenteritis(RVGE)in children aged<5 years was higher than 1-2-dose VE.Three-dose VE decreased with time since the 3rd dose in children who received the 3rd dose before turning five months of age,but remained above 60%for at least one year.VE was higher for RVGE hospitalizations than for medically attended outpatient visits. 展开更多

Photocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction is regarded as a potential strategy to convert greenhouse gases into valuable chemicals.However,achieving photocatalysts with high efficiency and target product selectivity under visible light still faces great challenges.Herein,sub-2 nm RuO2@TiO2(RTO)nanorods with lattice matching interface are rationally designed and prepared via a hydrothermal reaction step-by-step.Due to the strong interaction of the lattice-matched interface with the Ru-O-Ti bond,new energy levels have emerged at the interface,leading to effective visible light absorbance.Moreover,the photo-generated electrons could be transferred to the RuO2 efficiently via the lattice-matched interface.As a result,the RTO photocatalyst exhibits superior CO2-to-CH4 conversion performance of 15.6μmol g-1 with a selec-tivity of 87.9%under visible light irradiation.Density functional theory(DFT)calculation reveals that the energy barrier of CO*to CO is significantly higher than that of*CHO,resulting in the preferential produc-tion of CH4.This work provides an effective strategy for designing photocatalyst with promoted visible light absorption and improved product selectivity. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Retrocecal appendicitis,the most common anatomical type,presents diagnostic and surgical challenges.Single-port laparoscopic appendectomy(SPLA)has been proposed as an alternative to multi-port laparoscopic appendectomy(MPLA)with advancements in minimally invasive surgery.However,few studies have compared the perioperative outcomes between the SPLA and MPLA for retrocecal appendicitis.AIM To compare the efficacy and safety between the SPLA and MPLA in treating retrocecal appendicitis,focusing on perioperative outcomes.METHODS This retrospective study analyzed data from 1041 patients who underwent SPLA or MPLA at Konyang University Hospital between October 2011 and February 2023.Propensity score matching(PSM)was used to minimize selection bias,resulting in 235 patients in each group.Additionally,non-inferiority tests,post-hoc analysis,and multivariable regression analysis were performed to validate the results and assess factors affecting postoperative outcomes.RESULTS After PSM,SPLA showed shorter operation time(43.8±15.8 minutes vs 51.6±18.7 minutes;P<0.001)and lower estimated blood loss(EBL,6.5±7.8 mL vs 8.6±8.3 mL;P<0.001)than MPLA.No significant differences were observed in complications,pain scores,or length of hospital stay.SPLA was not inferior to MPLA in the main outcomes,except for the complication rate,where statistical power was insufficient.Multivariable regression confirmed SPLA as an independent factor for operation time and EBL.CONCLUSION SPLA is more feasible than MPLA for retrocecal appendicitis,offering advantages in operation time and estimated blood loss.This study supports SPLA as a viable alternative that enhances postoperative recovery. 展开更多

The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative recovery, complications, pathological findings, and follow-up data were compared between the two groups.RESULTS: The mean operative time was significantly longer in the LADG group than in the ODG group (259.3 ± 46.2 min vs 199.8 ± 40.85 min; P < 0.05), whereas intraoperative blood loss and postoperative complications were significantly lower (160.2 ± 85.9 mL vs 257.8 ± 151.0 mL; 13.0% vs 24.1%, respectively, P < 0.05). In addition, the time to first flatus, time to initiate oral intake, and postoperative hospital stay were significantly shorter in the LADG group than in the ODG group (3.9 ± 1.4 d vs 4.4 ± 1.5 d; 4.6 ± 1.2 d vs 5.6 ± 2.1 d; and 9.5 ± 2.7 d vs 11.1 ± 4.1 d, respectively; P < 0.05). There was no significant difference between the LADG group and ODG group with regard to the number of harvested lymph nodes. The median followup was 60 mo (range, 5-97 mo). The 1-, 3-, and 5-year disease-free survival rates were 94.3%, 90.2%, and 76.7%, respectively, in the LADG group and 89.5%, 84.7%, and 82.3%, respectively, in the ODG group. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival rates were 98.0%, 91.9%, and 81.1%, respectively, in the LADG group and 91.5%, 86.9%, and 82.1%, respectively, in the ODG group. There was no significant difference between the two groups with regard to the survival rate. CONCLUSION: LADG is suitable and minimally invasive for treating distal gastric cancer and can achieve similar long-term results to ODG. 展开更多

We present a high-resolution seismic catalog for the 2021 MS6.4/MW6.1 Yangbi sequence.The catalog has a time range of 2021-05-01 to 2021-05-28,and contains~8,000 well located events.It captures the features of the whole foreshock sequence and the early aftershocks.We designed a detection strategy incorporating both an artificial intelligent(AI)picker and a matched filter algorithm.Here,we adopt a hybrid AI method incorporating convolutional and recurrent neural network(CNN&RNN)for event detection and phase picking respectively(i.e.CERP),a light-weight AI picker that can be trained with small volume of data.CERP is first trained with detections from a STA/LTA and Kurtosis-based method called PAL,and then construct a rather complete template set of~4,000 events.Finally,the matched filter algorithm MESS augments the initial detections and measures differential travel times with cross-correlation,which finally results in precise relocation.This process gives 9,026 detections,among which 7,943 events can be well relocated.The catalog shows as expected power-law distribution of frequency magnitude and reveals detailed pattern of seismicity evolution.The main features are:(1)the foreshock sequence images simple fault geometry with consistent strike,but also show a variable event depth along strike;(2)the mainshock ruptures the same fault of the foreshock sequence and activate conjugate faults further to the southeast;(3)complex seismicity are developed in the post-seismic period,indicating complex triggering mechanisms.Thus,our catalog provides a reliable basis for further investigations,such as b-value studies,rupture process,and triggering relations. 展开更多

The nonsplitting perfectly matched layer (NPML) absorbing boundary condition (ABC) was first provided by Wang and Tang (2003) for the finite-difference simulation of elastic wave propagation in solids. In this paper, the method is developed to extend the NPML to simulating elastic wave propagation in poroelastic media. Biot's equations are discretized and approximated to a staggered-grid by applying a fourth-order accurate central difference in space and a second-order accurate central difference in time. A cylindrical twolayer seismic model and a borehole model are chosen to validate the effectiveness of the NPML. The results show that the numerical solutions agree well with the solutions of the discrete wavenumber (DW) method. 展开更多

The perfectly matched layer (PML) is a highly efficient absorbing boundary condition used for the numerical modeling of seismic wave equation. The article focuses on the application of this technique to finite-element time-domain numerical modeling of elastic wave equation. However, the finite-element time-domain scheme is based on the second- order wave equation in displacement formulation. Thus, the first-order PML in velocity-stress formulation cannot be directly applied to this scheme. In this article, we derive the finite- element matrix equations of second-order PML in displacement formulation, and accomplish the implementation of PML in finite-element time-domain modeling of elastic wave equation. The PML has an approximate zero reflection coefficients for bulk and surface waves in the finite-element modeling of P-SV and SH wave propagation in the 2D homogeneous elastic media. The numerical experiments using a two-layer model with irregular topography validate the efficiency of PML in the modeling of seismic wave propagation in geological models with complex structures and heterogeneous media. 展开更多

A convolution perfectly matched layer(CPML)can efficiently absorb boundary reflection in numerical simulation.However,the CPML is suitable for the first-order elastic wave equation and is difficult to apply directly to the second-order elastic wave equation.In view of this,based on the first-order CPML absorbing boundary condition,we propose a new CPML(NCPML)boundary which can be directly applied to the second-order wave equation.We first systematically extend the first-order CPML technique into second-order wave equations,neglecting the space-varying characteristics of the partial damping coefficient in the complex-frequency domain,avoiding the generation of convolution in the time domain.We then transform the technique back to the time domain through the inverse Fourier transform.Numerical simulation indicates that the space-varying characteristics of the attenuation factor have little influence on the absorption effect and increase the memory at the same time.A number of numerical examples show that the NCPML proposed in this study is effective in simulating elastic wave propagation,and this algorithm is more efficient and requires less memory allocation than the conventional PML absorbing boundary. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)are at an increased risk of bacterial pneumonia,contributing to significant morbidity and mortality.While previous studies have identified various risk factors,including medications and comorbidities,the independent contribution of IBD to pneumonia risk remains unclear.We hypothesized that the increased pneumonia risk is primarily driven by factors other than IBD itself.AIM To investigate the relative contributions of IBD,comorbidities,and medications to pneumonia risk in patients with IBD.METHODS We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the All of Us Research Program database(2010-2022).We matched 2810 participants with IBD 1:1 with controls using four propensity score models:(1)Demographics/Lifestyle only;(2)Plus comorbidities;(3)Plus medications;and(4)All factors combined.Then we used Cox proportional hazards models to assess pneumonia risk and logistic regression to evaluate risk factors.RESULTS In the primary analysis of 5620 matched participants,IBD was not independently associated with increased pneumonia risk[hazard ratio(HR)=1.07,95%CI:0.84-1.35]when matched for all factors.However,participants with IBD had significantly higher risk(HR=2.08,95%CI:1.56-2.78)when matched only for demographics and lifestyle factors.Within the IBD cohort,a high comorbidity burden(Charlson Comorbidity Index≥10)[odds ratio(OR)=12.20,95%CI:6.69-23.00]and systemic steroid use(OR=2.26,95%CI:1.21-4.64)were independently associated with increased pneumonia risk.CONCLUSION Comorbidities and systemic steroids,rather than IBD itself,drive pneumonia risk.Management should focus on these factors and prioritize vaccination in high-risk patients. 展开更多

The uniaxial perfectly matched layer(PML)method uses rectangular domain to define the PML problem and thus provides greater flexibility and efficiency in deal-ing with problems involving anisotropic scatterers.In this paper an adaptive uniaxial PML technique for solving the time harmonic Helmholtz scattering problem is devel-oped.The PML parameters such as the thickness of the layer and the fictitious medium property are determined through sharp a posteriori error estimates.The adaptive finite element method based on a posteriori error estimate is proposed to solve the PML equa-tion which produces automatically a coarse mesh size away from the fixed domain and thus makes the total computational costs insensitive to the thickness of the PML absorb-ing layer.Numerical experiments are included to illustrate the competitive behavior of the proposed adaptive method.In particular,it is demonstrated that the PML layer can be chosen as close to one wave-length from the scatterer and still yields good accuracy and efficiency in approximating the far fields. 展开更多

The problem caused by shortness or excessiveness of snapshots and by coherent sources in underwater acoustic positioning is considered.A matched field localization algorithm based on CS-MUSIC(Compressive Sensing Multiple Signal Classification) is proposed based on the sparse mathematical model of the underwater positioning.The signal matrix is calculated through the SVD(Singular Value Decomposition) of the observation matrix.The observation matrix in the sparse mathematical model is replaced by the signal matrix,and a new concise sparse mathematical model is obtained,which means not only the scale of the localization problem but also the noise level is reduced;then the new sparse mathematical model is solved by the CS-MUSIC algorithm which is a combination of CS(Compressive Sensing) method and MUSIC(Multiple Signal Classification) method.The algorithm proposed in this paper can overcome effectively the difficulties caused by correlated sources and shortness of snapshots,and it can also reduce the time complexity and noise level of the localization problem by using the SVD of the observation matrix when the number of snapshots is large,which will be proved in this paper. 展开更多

Most inverse reservoir modeling techniques require many forward simulations, and the posterior models cannot preserve geological features of prior models. This study proposes an iterative static modeling approach that utilizes dynamic data for rejecting an unsuitable training image(TI) among a set of TI candidates and for synthesizing history-matched pseudo-soft data. The proposed method is applied to two cases of channelized reservoirs, which have uncertainty in channel geometry such as direction, amplitude, and width. Distance-based clustering is applied to the initial models in total to select the qualified models efficiently. The mean of the qualified models is employed as a history-matched facies probability map in the next iteration of static models. Also, the most plausible TI is determined among TI candidates by rejecting other TIs during the iteration. The posterior models of the proposed method outperform updated models of ensemble Kalman filter(EnKF) and ensemble smoother(ES) because they describe the true facies connectivity with bimodal distribution and predict oil and water production with a reasonable range of uncertainty. In terms of simulation time, it requires 30 times of forward simulation in history matching, while the EnKF and ES need 9000 times and 200 times, respectively. 展开更多
