To improve the compactness and properties of C/C-SiC-ZrC composites produced by precursor infiltration and pyrolysis(PIP)method,the low-temperature reactive melt infiltration(RMI)process was used to seal the composites using Zr2Cu as the filler.The microstructure,mechanical properties,and ablation properties of the Zr2Cu packed composites were analyzed.Results show that during Zr2Cu impregnation,the melt efficiently fills the large pores of the composites and is converted to ZrCu due to a partial reaction of zirconium with carbon.This results in an increase in composite density from 1.91 g/cm3to 2.24 g/cm3and a reduction in open porosity by 27.35%.Additionally,the flexural strength of Zr2Cu packed C/C-SiC-ZrC composites is improved from 122.78±8.09 MPa to 135.53±5.40 MPa.After plasma ablation for 20 s,the modified composites demonstrate superior ablative resistance compared to PIP C/C-SiC-ZrC,with mass ablation and linear ablation rates of 2.77×10−3g/s and 2.60×10−3mm/s,respectively.The“selftranspiration”effect of the low-melting point copper-containing phase absorbs the heat of the plasma flame,further reducing the ablation temperature and promoting the formation of refined ZrO2particles within the SiO2melting layer.This provides more stable erosion protection for Zr2Cu packed C/C-SiC-ZrC composites. 展开更多

To improve the anti-oxidation ability of silicon-based coating for carbon/carbon (C/C) composites at high temperatures, a ZrB2 modified silicon-based multilayer oxidation protective coating was prepared by pack cementation. The phase composition, microstructure and oxidation resistance at 1773, 1873 and 1953 K in air were investigated. The prepared coating exhibits dense structure and good oxidation protective ability. Due to the formation of stable ZrSiO4-SiO2 compound, the coating can effectively protect C/C composites from oxidation at 1773 K for more than 550 h. The anti-oxidation performance decreases with the increase of oxidation temperature. The mass loss of coated sample is 2.44% after oxidation at 1953 K for 50 h, which is attributed to the decomposition of ZrSiO4 and the volatilization of SiO2 protection layer. 展开更多

Ultrahigh-temperature ceramics were added to C/C composites to meet their application requirement in a high-temperature oxidizing environment. C/C-ZrB2-SiC composites were fabricated by high-solid-loading slurry impregnation with polymer infiltration and pyrolysis. The dispersion and rheological behavior of ZrB2 slurry and the microstructural, mechanical, and ablation properties of the C/C-ZrB2-SiC composites were investigated. Results indicated that a well-dispersed and low-viscosity ZrB2 slurry was obtained using 0.40 wt.% polyethyleneimine as a dispersant at pH 5. Ceramics were uniformly distributed in the short-cut fiber layer and needle-punched area. The flexural strength of the C/C-ZrB2-SiC composites was 309.30 MPa. The composites exhibited satisfactory ablation resistance under the oxyacetylene flame of 2500℃, and the mass and linear ablation rates were 0.40 mg/s and 0.91 μm/s, respectively. A continuous and compact Zr O2 layer, which could effectively reduce the diffusion rate of oxygen and protect the composites from being ablated, was formed. 展开更多

C/SiC/MoSi2-SiC-Si oxidation protective multilayer coating for carbon/carbon (C/C) composites was prepared by pack cementation and slurry method. The microstructure, element distribution and phase composition of the as-received coating were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results show that the multilayer coating was composed of MoSi2, SiC and Si. It could effectively protect C/C composites against oxidation for 200 h with the mass loss of 3.25% at 1873 K in static air. The mass loss of the coated C/C composites results from the volatilization of SiO2 and the formation of cracks and bubble holes in the coating. 展开更多

Modern communication technologies put forward higher requirements for electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption materials.Metal-organic framework(MOF)derivatives have been widely concerned with its diverse advantages.To break the mindset of magneticderivative design,and make up the shortage of monometallic non-magnetic derivatives,we first try non-magnetic bimetallic MOFs derivatives to achieve efficient EMW absorption.The porous carbon-wrapped TiO2/ZrTiO4 composites derived from PCN-415(TiZr-MOFs)are qualified with a minimum reflection loss of−67.8 dB(2.16 mm,13.0 GHz),and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth of 5.9 GHz(2.70 mm).Through in-depth discussions,the synergy of enhanced interfacial polarization and other attenuation mechanisms in the composites is revealed.Therefore,this work confirms the huge potentials of nonmagnetic bimetallic MOFs derivatives in EMW absorption applications. 展开更多

To improve the uniformity and the content of HfBin Hf B-Si-based ceramic coating and alleviate the damage of substrate,and then enhance the high-temperature(1700°C)oxidation and cyclic ablation resistances of carbon/carbon composites,a close-knit double layer HfB2-SiC/SiC coatings with a mosaic structure and high content of HfBwere prepared by a novel dipping-carbonization assisted pack cementation methods(DPC–HS/S).In contrast,a HfB2-SiC/SiC coatings were also fabricated by pack cementation(PC–HS/S).Results revealed that the oxidation and ablation protective performances of the DPC–HS/S coatings were superior to those of PC–HS/S coatings.After 30 thermal cycles between 1500°C and room temperature,the mass gain of the coated sample was 0.78%,and the mass loss was 1.65%after oxidation at 1700°C for 156 h.Moreover,under an oxyacetylene torch ablation for 180 s(3 cycles),the linear ablation rate of the DPC–HS/S coated specimen was 1.62μm/s,which was much lower than that of PC–HS/S coated specimen(3.08μm/s). 展开更多

A SiC/ZrSiO4?SiO2 (SZS) coating was successfully fabricated on the carbon/carbon (C/C) composites by pack cementation, slurry painting and sintering to improve the anti-oxidation property and thermal shock resistance. The anti-oxidation properties under different oxygen partial pressures (OPP) and thermal shock resistance of the SZS coating were investigated. The results show that the SZS coated sample under low OPP, corresponding to the ambient air, during isothermal oxidation was 0.54% in mass gain after 111 h oxidation at 1500 ° C and less than 0.03% in mass loss after 50 h oxidation in high OPP, corresponding to the air flow rate of 36 L/h. Additionally, the residual compressive strengths (RCS) of the SZS coated samples after oxidation for 50 h in high OPP and 80 h in low OPP remain about 70% and 72.5% of those of original C/C samples, respectively. Moreover, the mass loss of SZS coated samples subjected to the thermal cycle from 1500 ° C in high OPP to boiling water for 30 times was merely 1.61%. 展开更多

The development of advanced aircraft relies on high performance thermal-structural materials,and carbon/carbon com-posites(C/C)composited with ultrahigh-temperature ceramics are ideal candidates.However,the traditional routes of compositing are either inefficient and expensive or lead to a non-uniform distribution of ceramics in the matrix.Compared with the traditional C/C-ZrC-SiC composites prepared by the reactive melt infiltration of ZrSi2,C/C-ZrB2-ZrC-SiC composites prepared by the vacuum infiltration of ZrB2 combined with reactive melt infiltration have the higher content and more uniform distribution of the introduced ceramic phases.The mass and linear ablation rates of the C/C-ZrB2-ZrC-SiC composites were respectively 68.9%and 29.7%lower than those of C/C-ZrC-SiC composites prepared by reactive melt infiltration.The ablation performance was improved because the volatilization of B2O3,removes some of the heat,and the more uniformly distributed ZrO2,that helps produce a ZrO2-SiO2 continu-ous protective layer,hinders oxygen infiltration and decreases ablation. 展开更多

在Al2O3-C复合材料中添加低熔点相,对其性能与结构改善具有重要意义。以棕刚玉、氧化铝粉、鳞片石墨为主要原料,酚醛树脂为结合剂,加入不同量的无水硼砂(加入质量分数分别为0、1%、2%、3%和4%),采用高速逆流造粒机混合,得到的混... 在Al2O3-C复合材料中添加低熔点相,对其性能与结构改善具有重要意义。以棕刚玉、氧化铝粉、鳞片石墨为主要原料,酚醛树脂为结合剂,加入不同量的无水硼砂(加入质量分数分别为0、1%、2%、3%和4%),采用高速逆流造粒机混合,得到的混合料在冷等静压机内成型,经250℃干燥、1000℃埋碳烧成,制备了Al2O3-C复合材料,研究了无水硼砂加入量对Al2O3-C复合材料性能及显微结构的影响。结果表明:随着无水硼砂加入量的增多,试样显气孔率显著下降,体积密度有所增加,但增加幅度较小;添加了无水硼砂的试样,细粉颗粒边界变得模糊,细粉之间孔隙部分被熔化后的无水硼砂所填充,从而使得显气孔率显著降低,常温抗折明强度显提升,抗氧化性能显著改善;与未添加无水硼砂的试样相比,加入4%(w)无水硼砂试样的显气孔率下降幅度约为25%,常温抗折强度的升高幅度约为5.6倍,氧化层面积下降约为60%。 展开更多

为探究二氧化硅层间介质(ILD)化学机械抛光(CMP)过程中抛光速率与表面缺陷的控制机制,研究皱纹状介孔碳修饰二氧化硅/氧化铈(C-mSiO2/CeO2)复合磨料对氧化硅的抛光行为。通过微乳液法制备具有核壳结构的复合磨料,经扫描电子显微镜... 为探究二氧化硅层间介质(ILD)化学机械抛光(CMP)过程中抛光速率与表面缺陷的控制机制,研究皱纹状介孔碳修饰二氧化硅/氧化铈(C-mSiO2/CeO2)复合磨料对氧化硅的抛光行为。通过微乳液法制备具有核壳结构的复合磨料,经扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和透射电子显微镜(TEM)表征,证实其具备完整的包覆形貌。抛光实验结果表明:相较于普通氧化硅及氧化铈磨料,C-mSiO2/CeO2复合磨料对氧化硅的去除速率最高可达112.1 nm/min,同时获得优异表面质量(表面粗糙度Sq=0.0514 nm)。能量色散X射线光谱(EDX)元素分析显示,Si、O、Ce元素质量分数分别为18.65%、38.78%和42.57%。氮气吸附-脱附测试结合Brunauer-Emmett-Teller和Barrett-Joyner-Halenda模型计算表明,该磨料具有221.716 m2/g的高比表面积、5.44 nm孔径及0.3187 cm3/g孔体积,其有序孔隙结构和高比表面积为CMP过程提供了优异的机械支撑。X射线光电子能谱(XPS)化学键分析表明,CeO2颗粒主要通过Si-O-Ce键与SiO2内核结合。这种化学键合作用及体系中Ce3+离子含量的提升,协同促进了氧化硅去除速率的显著提高。 展开更多

Ablation under oxyacetylene torch with heat flux of 4186.8(10%kW/m2 for 20 s was performed to evaluate the ablation resistance of C/C-SiC composites fabricated by chemical vapor infiltration(CVI) combined with liquid silicon infiltration(LSI) process.The results indicated that C/C-SiC composites present a better ablation resistance than C/C composites without doped SiC.The doped SiC and the ablation products SiO2 derived from it play key roles in ablation process.Bulk quantities of SiO2 nanowires with diameter of 80 nm-150 nm and length of tens microns were observed on the surface of specimens after ablation.The growth mechanism of the SiO_2 nanowires was interpreted with a developed vapor-liquid-solid(VLS) driven by the temperature gradient. 展开更多

(B4C+Al2O3)/Al复合材料作为乏燃料干式贮存系统中的关键中子吸收材料,其在高温下长期服役的可靠性直接关系到核废料安全管理的有效性。该结构功能一体化材料在高温下存在非晶Al2O3(am-Al2O3)向γ-Al2O3相变的风险,可能导致力学性能降低,但目前对其组织演化规律及性能稳定性的认识仍不足。为此,对(B4C+Al2O3)/Al复合材料进行了400℃/100 h和550℃/8 h 2种稳定化工艺处理,并通过400℃下最长4000 h的退火实验验证其长期稳定性。结果表明,经稳定化处理后,复合材料在室温及350℃下的抗拉强度分别保持在220.0和100.0 MPa以上,满足工程应用需求。微观组织分析表明,am-Al2O3部分转化为γ-Al2O3,但材料在退火过程中组织与性能均趋于稳定。2种工艺均能有效提升材料的热稳定性,为(B4C+Al2O3)/Al复合材料制备的乏燃料干式贮存容器实现长期安全服役提供了材料学依据。 展开更多

MgAl2O4 particle-reinforced AC4C based alloy composites were fabricated by the stirring-casting method. The effects of the average sizes and the size distributions of MgAl2O4 particles on the dispersibility were investigated, and the microstructures, strength, and fatigue properties of MgAl2O4 particle-reinforced AC4C based alloy composites were evaluated. Tensile strength in the MgAl2O4 particle-reinforced AC4C based alloy composite was increased by using the classified particles. The fatigue limit at 107 cycles in the MgA1204 particle-reinforced AC4C-Cu composite increased by 27% compared to the unreinforced alloy at 250 ~C. Dislocations were observed in the matrix around the MgAl204 particle which resulted from the mismatch of thermal expansion coefficients between MgAl2O4 and Al, and resisted failure and caused fatigue cracks to propagate around the MgAl2O4 particles, resulting in extensive crack deflection and crack bowing which contributed to the improvement of fatigue strength. 展开更多

FeTe2由于具有相对较高的理论容量而成为二次电池负极材料的潜在候选,但其在锂离子电池中的应用尚未见报道。考虑到过渡金属化合物普遍存在的循环过程中体积剧烈膨胀和收缩而带来的容量大幅度衰减的问题,本研究设计合成了类胶囊结构的含缺陷FeTe2@C复合材料,并研究了其储锂性能。结果显示,制备的FeTe2粒子均匀而紧密地填充于具有双锥六角棱柱形貌的碳管中,这种类胶囊的填充结构既有利于防止FeTe2材料体积膨胀/收缩引起的活性物质脱落,又可有效提高FeTe2负极的电导率。而且FeTe2材料中存在少量的Te缺陷有利于锂离子的传导,改善了材料的电极动力学。在1.0 A·g-1的电流密度下,该材料的首次可逆容量为852 mAh·g-1,300次循环后仍能保持732 mAh·g-1,容量保持率高达86%,显示了其在锂离子电池中良好的稳定性。 展开更多

MXenes,a new family of two-dimensional transition metal carbides or nitrides,have attracted tremendous attention for various applications due to their unique properties such as good electrical conductivity,hydrophilicity,and ion intercalability.In this work,Ti3C2 MXene,or MX,is converted to MX-TiO2 composites using a simple and rapid microwave hydrothermal treatment in HCl/NaCl mixture solution that induces formation of fine TiO2 particles on the MX parent structure and imparts photocatalytic activity to the resulting MX-TiO2 composites.The composites were used for enrofloxacin(ENR),a frequently found contaminating antibiotic,removal from water.The relative amount of the MX and TiO2 can be controlled by controlling the hydrothermal temperature resulting in composites with tunable adsorption/photocatalytic properties.NaCl addition was found to play important role as composites synthesized without NaCl could not adsorb enrofloxacin well.Adding NaCl into the hydrothermal treatment causes sodium ions to be simultaneously intercalated into the composite structure,improving ENR adsorption greatly from 1 to 6 mg ENR/g composite.It also slows down the MX to TiO2 conversion leading to a smaller and more uniform distribution of TiO2 particles on the structure.MX-TiO2/NaCl composites,which have sodium intercalated in their structures,showed both higher ENR adsorption and photocatalytic activity than composites without NaCl despite the latter having higher TiO2 content.Adsorbed ENR on the composites can be efficiently degraded by free radicals generated from the photoexcited TiO2 particles,leading to high photocatalytic degradation efficiency.This demonstrates the synergetic effect between adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of the synthesized compounds. 展开更多

Two-dimensional(2D)Ti3C2Tx MXene is an attractive additive not only used in base oil due to its low friction coefficient,but also used in composites due to its high aspect ratio and rich surface functional groups.So far there has been intense research into polymer matrix composites reinforced with Ti3C2Tx,Here we report on the use of 2D Ti3C2Tx to enhance the mechanical and frictional properties of Al matrix composites.Ti3C2Tx/Al composites were designed and prepared by pre s sureless sintering followed by hot extrusion technique.The prepared composites exhibit a homogeneous distribution of Ti3C2Tx.The Vickers hardness and the tensile strength continuously increase with increasing Ti3C2Tx content.A hardness of 0.52 GPa and a tensile strength of 148 MPa were achieved in the 3 wt%Ti3C2Tx/Al composite.The frictional properties of pure Al and the Ti3C2Tx/Al composite were comparably studied under dry sliding.A low friction coefficient of 0.2,twice lower than that of pure Al,was achieved in the 3 wt%Ti3C2Tx/Al composite.Ti3C2Tx acting as a solid lubricant reduces the abrasive wear in the composite,improving the frictional properties of Al matrix composites. 展开更多

A facile ammonium-dichromate solution immersion method was introduced to synthesize the copperwettable Cr3C2 coating on and inside the carbon-carbon (C/C) preform. The formation mechanism and the microstructures of the Cr3C2 coatings were studied. The contact angle between molten copper and the C/C decreased from 140°to 60°, demonstrating the significant improvement in the wettability. The Cr3C2- coated C/C-Cu composite with only 4.2% porosity and 3.69 gcm^-3 density was manufactured through copper infiltration. As a result, the thermal and electrical conductivity of the modified C/C-Cu increased significantly due to the infiltrated copper. Also the mechanical properties of the composites including both the flexural and compressive strengths were enhanced by over 100%. The modified C/C-Cu composite exhibited lower friction coefficients and wear rates for different load levels than those of the commercial C/Cu composite. These results demonstrate the potential of the modified C/C-Cu material for use in electrical contacts. 展开更多
