In recent years,scholars around the world have shown increasing interest in elastic support structures,leading to significant progress in dynamic modeling techniques for pipeline systems.Although multiple analytical approaches exist,engineers increasingly prioritize computationally efficient,precise low-order models for practical implementation.In order to address this need,this study develops an innovative nonlinear dynamic formulation for pipelines accounting for both foundation and boundary nonlinearities.The proposed solution methodology initiates with global mode extraction using the global mode technique,followed by a detailed implementation procedure.Model validation is conducted through a cantilever pipeline case study featuring nonlinear support conditions,where strong agreement between the proposed model's predictions and finiteelement benchmark solutions demonstrates its reliability.Subsequently,a comprehensive parametric study investigates the combined effects of foundation stiffness,boundary constraints,excitation intensity,and nonlinear interaction terms on the vibrational response of the cantilever pipe.This systematic approach yields critical insights for practical engineering designs and applications. 展开更多

Three intuitive formulations of eigenvalue functions originating from the prototype are presented, and their convergences are compared through numerical calculation. One of them is found to be suitable in modeling the diffraction efficiency of the circular tapered crossed subwavelength gratings without high absorption, and staircase approximation is further proven valid for non-highly-absorptive tapered gratings. This approach is used to simulate the "moth-eye" antireflection surface on silicon, and the numerical result agrees well with the experimental one. 展开更多

Advanced intensity measures(IMs)based on an inelastic deformation spectrum improved the evaluation of the median engineering demand parameters(EDPs)and reduced dispersion.In this regard,an optimized two-degreefreedom(2DOF)modal pushover-based scaling procedure(2DMPS)has been developed for a nonlinear dynamic analysis of asymmetric in-plan buildings.The 2DMPS procedure scales ground motions to approach close enough to a target value of the inelastic displacement of the first-mode inelastic 2DOF modal stick,extended for structures with significant contributions of higher modes.Further,4-,6-and 13-story RC SMRF buildings were selected for analyses using ground motion records scaled by the 2DMPS procedure,the modal pushover-based scaling method(MPS),and ASCE/SEI 7-16 scaling procedures.The median values of EDPs on scaled records closely matched the benchmark results.The bias in the EDP values due to the scaled records in every group regarding their median value was lower than the dispersion of the 21 unscaled records.These results generally demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the 2DMPS method.Additionally,the 2DOF modal stick’s inelastic response spectra are better suited for calculating seismic demands for one-way asymmetric-plan structures than the SDOF inelastic response spectra. 展开更多

A method for static aeroelastic analysis based on the high-order panel method and modal method is presented. The static aeroelastic characteristics of flexible wings are investigated using this method. Three-dimensional aerodynamic models of flexible wings are constructed based on the geometry of wing configuration, and the modal method is adopted to achieve the fluid-structure coupling. The static aeroelastic characteristics of the AGARD445.6 wing and a low-aspect-ratio wing are investigated in this study. The influences of elastic structural deformation on aerodynamic forces are studied with an emphasis analyzing the aerodynamic coefficients, wing root loads, structural deformation and pressure distribution of different sections, and results are compared with the results from wind-tunnel tests and the elastic results based on experimental aerodynamic forces. It is concluded that aerodynamic forces can be accurately calculated with the high-order panel method. The method presented in this study is feasible, credible and efficient. Comprehensive static aeroelastic characteristics can be provided by the method for early phases of aircraft design. 展开更多

Identification of modal parameters of a linear structure with output-only measurements has received much attention over the past decades. In the paper, the Natural Excitation Technique (NExT) is used for acquisition of the impulse signals from the structural responses. Then Eigensystem Realization Algorithm (ERA) is utilized for modal identification. For disregarding the fictitious ‘computational modes', a procedure, Statistically Averaging Modal Frequency Method (SAMFM), is developed to distinguish the true modes from noise modes, and to improve the precision of the identified modal frequencies of the structure. An offshore platform is modeled with the finite element method. The theoretical modal parameters are obtained for a comparison with the identified values. The dynamic responses of the platform under random wave loading are computed for providing the output signals used for identification with ERA. Results of simulation demonstrate that the proposed method can determine the system modal frequency with high precision. 展开更多

When investigating the vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of marine risers,extrapolating the dynamic response on the entire length based on limited sensor measurements is a crucial step in both laboratory experiments and fatigue monitoring of real risers.The problem is conventionally solved using the modal decomposition method,based on the principle that the response can be approximated by a weighted sum of limited vibration modes.However,the method is not valid when the problem is underdetermined,i.e.,the number of unknown mode weights is more than the number of known measurements.This study proposed a sparse modal decomposition method based on the compressed sensing theory and the Compressive Sampling Matching Pursuit(Co Sa MP)algorithm,exploiting the sparsity of VIV in the modal space.In the validation study based on high-order VIV experiment data,the proposed method successfully reconstructed the response using only seven acceleration measurements when the conventional methods failed.A primary advantage of the proposed method is that it offers a completely data-driven approach for the underdetermined VIV reconstruction problem,which is more favorable than existing model-dependent solutions for many practical applications such as riser structural health monitoring. 展开更多

The connecting rod is one of the most important moving components in an internal combustion engine. The present work determined the possibility of using aluminium alloy 7075 material to design and manufacture a connecting rod for weight optimisation without losing the strength of the connecting rod. It considered modal and thermal analyses to investigate the suitability of the material for connecting rod design. The parameters that were considered under the modal analysis were: total deformation, and natural frequency, while the thermal analysis looked at the temperature distribution, total heat flux and directional heat flux of the four connecting rods made with titanium alloy, grey cast iron, structural steel and aluminium 7075 alloy respectively. The connecting rod was modelled using Autodesk inventor2017 software using the calculated parameters. The steady-state thermal analysis was used to determine the induced heat flux and directional heat flux. The study found that Aluminium 7075 alloy deformed more than the remaining three other materials but has superior qualities in terms of vibrational natural frequency, total heat flux and lightweight compared to structural steel, grey cast iron and titanium alloy. 展开更多

文章推导并建立了黏弹性人工边界-土-结构相互作用(Viscous-Spring Artificial Boundary-Soil-Structure Interaction, VSAB-SSI)系统在绝对坐标系下的地震多点反应谱法,具有简洁、精确和高效之优点。首先,引入复模态法并提出对VSAB-SS... 文章推导并建立了黏弹性人工边界-土-结构相互作用(Viscous-Spring Artificial Boundary-Soil-Structure Interaction, VSAB-SSI)系统在绝对坐标系下的地震多点反应谱法,具有简洁、精确和高效之优点。首先,引入复模态法并提出对VSAB-SSI绝对坐标体系下的系统动力方程进行完全严格解耦的思想,避免传统思路中对多点激励下VSAB-SSI系统响应无法进行常规分解的困境。其次,构建等效地震荷载的功率谱矩阵,将黏弹性人工边界位置处的黏滞力、弹性力和自由场力均完全等效转化为以自由场加速度为表现形式的虚拟力,实现虚拟等效地震力表达的统一性和简洁性,从而极大方便后续计算。进而,推导得到VSAB-SSI绝对坐标体系下虚拟激励多点反应谱表达式。最后,通过黏弹性人工边界-多层土-多跨桥梁相互作用模型算例验证其精确性和高效性。结果表明:文章在不牺牲计算精度的前提下实现表达式的简洁化,不仅延续虚拟激励法自有的高效性,而且规避传统复多点反应谱中参数求解繁琐的问题(即需对其18项相关系数和6项归一化模态均方根进行积分求解),促进地震多点反应谱的普适性和工程应用性。 展开更多

轻型模块化钢结构建筑常采用非对称冷弯薄壁型钢柱构件,其轴压承载性能易受初始几何缺陷影响。文中针对轻型模块化钢结构建筑中常见的非对称冷弯薄壁单柱,以及实际工程中端部通过螺栓紧固拼合的长肢、短肢组合柱,开展了足尺轴压试验与... 轻型模块化钢结构建筑常采用非对称冷弯薄壁型钢柱构件,其轴压承载性能易受初始几何缺陷影响。文中针对轻型模块化钢结构建筑中常见的非对称冷弯薄壁单柱,以及实际工程中端部通过螺栓紧固拼合的长肢、短肢组合柱,开展了足尺轴压试验与初始几何缺陷影响效应研究。试验前采用三维激光扫描技术,对模块柱安装前后的几何形貌进行高精度测量,以提取初始缺陷特征并获取模块柱几何高程偏差。应用并验证了基于扫描点云模型向有限元模型转化的逆向重构法,实现了构件实际初始缺陷的精准导入;同时提出了基于扫描偏差的改进模态法,与传统模态法展开对比分析,研究初始缺陷的模态与幅值对轻型模块柱轴压失效模态及承载力发展趋势的影响机制。结果表明:冷弯薄壁开口型模块柱的初始缺陷主要分为三类,实际安装边界条件下,模块柱的轴压失效模式主要为长肢板件发生压弯变形,进而引发整体构件的弯扭失稳。对比分析证实,逆向重构建模方法能有效预测模块柱的失效模式与承载力水平,且改进模态法相较于传统模态法具有更高的承载力预测精度。 展开更多

基于经典Bloch模态展开降阶算法(RBME),结合模态综合法及渐进均匀化方法(NIAH),提出了一种新的能带结构分析方法。该方法针对经典RBME算法中多次重复构建正交基底的计算过程,与模态综合法中的Hou方法相结合,将RBME方法在每个离散波矢点... 基于经典Bloch模态展开降阶算法(RBME),结合模态综合法及渐进均匀化方法(NIAH),提出了一种新的能带结构分析方法。该方法针对经典RBME算法中多次重复构建正交基底的计算过程,与模态综合法中的Hou方法相结合,将RBME方法在每个离散波矢点重复构建的模态空间的降阶系统,更改为在每个波矢点根据Bloch周期性边界条件使用模态综合更新降阶系统,从而避免了计算中全局降阶处理过程。同时针对经典RBME算法中计算多个离散波矢点上的广义特征值的过程,通过NIAH过程近似求解特征向量基底,避免了在多个波矢点上计算大规模广义特征值,进一步提高了RBME方法的求解效率。将以上改进技术相结合提出一种新的高效RBME计算方法。通过2类声子晶体的能带结构分析算例,验证了所提算法较经典RBME方法具有明显的效率优势。相较于传统RBME方法,本算法将计算耗时显著降低至原算法的20%,且在多种能带结构分析场景中均表现出优异的数值鲁棒性。 展开更多

在微型热电偶等精密部件的圆柱孔-轴装配过程中,圆孔位姿的高精度测量是保证装配同轴度的关键环节。然而,针对具有一定厚度的微小圆孔(孔径大小为0.03~3.7 mm,结构常数k>2.5)结构测量,传统三维视觉方法系统复杂、建模困难,且单目背... 在微型热电偶等精密部件的圆柱孔-轴装配过程中,圆孔位姿的高精度测量是保证装配同轴度的关键环节。然而,针对具有一定厚度的微小圆孔(孔径大小为0.03~3.7 mm,结构常数k>2.5)结构测量,传统三维视觉方法系统复杂、建模困难,且单目背光视觉在倾斜条件下孔壁遮挡,从而导致光斑边缘模糊,降低了测量精度与稳定性。为此,提出一种基于灰度积分投影的双模态厚壁圆孔单目背光精密位姿测量方法。通过建立厚壁圆孔的背光成像几何模型,获得了光斑形态与圆孔倾斜角度关系。在此基础上,提出了粗调线性逆解与精调极值搜索的双模态位姿测量方法。在粗调阶段,通过全局能量统计的灰度积分投影,将二维图像降维为一维光通量分布曲线,从而规避局部边缘模糊的干扰,提取光斑形态的水平特征宽度,利用其在大倾角(超过70%理论截止角)下呈现的线性映射特征,构建姿态逆解模型,实现圆孔大偏差的快速修正;在精调阶段,切换至基于透射光通量的搜索方法,利用光通量在零位姿态处取得全局极大值的物理特性,通过闭环迭代寻优,实现对圆孔位姿的高精度定位。实验结果表明,在大倾角且伴随毛刺干扰的复杂工况下,该方法展现出极强的抗扰动稳定性,检测成功率在91%以上,有效提升了精密装配的精度与效率,为实际工程应用提供了一种低成本解决方案。 展开更多

Accurate building electricity load forecasting(BELF)can provide a regulatory basis for building energy management systems and promote the transition of buildings toward low-carbon and intelligent operation modes.However,building electricity load is influenced by historical loads,as well as outside environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature,which reduces the prediction accuracy of models.To tackle these challenges,this study presents a BELF model,which consists of a modal component grouping approach,grouped feature attention mechanism,and multi-scale residual depthwise convolution memory module.First,the modal component grouping method analyzes building electricity load in the time domain,frequency domain(via fast fourier transform,FFT),and complexity(via sample entropy,SE),and then performs clustering to achieve precise decomposition of load components with different fluctuation characteristics.Second,the grouped feature attention mechanism assigns suitable importance to various input features to emphasize key factors affecting prediction accuracy.Third,the multi-scale residual depthwise convolution memory module mitigates the impact of long and short-term load variations on BELF by employing residual blocks of depthwise convolution layers with different kernel sizes.Meanwhile,gated recurrent units are used to identify the time-dependent trends of building load.Experimental results on public buildings show that the proposed model outperforms existing models,achieving more than 2.4%improvement in MAPE prediction performance. 展开更多

树木是天然的滚石灾害生态防护屏障,准确计算滚石对树木的冲击力是生态防护林设计的关键。然而,当前有关滚石冲击树木的相关研究仍较为匮乏。为此,基于合理假设,首先构建了滚石冲击树木的简化动力学模型,开展了滚石冲击作用下的树木横... 树木是天然的滚石灾害生态防护屏障,准确计算滚石对树木的冲击力是生态防护林设计的关键。然而,当前有关滚石冲击树木的相关研究仍较为匮乏。为此,基于合理假设,首先构建了滚石冲击树木的简化动力学模型,开展了滚石冲击作用下的树木横向强迫振动模态分析,进一步基于理想弹性模型分析方法联合滚石冲击树木过程中的位移协调方程,推导了滚石对树木峰值冲击力的解析表达式。而后,依托具体的计算工况,将基于理想弹性模态分析方法所得的计算结果与经典Hertz碰撞接触理论、基于ANSYS/LS-DYNA数值仿真方法所得的峰值冲击力进行了对比分析。研究结果表明,所提方法假设基本合理,基于理想弹性模态分析方法所得的滚石对树木冲击力的变化趋势和大小均与基于树木采用弹性本构模型的数值仿真计算结果高度一致,可作为滚石冲击树木峰值冲击力的一种快速估算方法。研究成果可为滚石灾害生态防护工程的设计提供一定的科学依据。 展开更多
