Objective Frailty is becoming increasingly common among aging adults.Frailty transitionis shaped by biological,social,psychological,and environmental factors.This study investigated combined effects of protective fact...Objective Frailty is becoming increasingly common among aging adults.Frailty transitionis shaped by biological,social,psychological,and environmental factors.This study investigated combined effects of protective factors on frailty transition by constructing a Protection Index(PI)to guide targeted interventions.Methods Data were extracted from the 4th Sample Survey of the Aged Population in Urban and Rural China,including baseline(2017)and follow-up(2019)surveys.Frailty was assessed using the Frailty Index(FI),whereas the PI measured protective factors.Frailty transitions over 2 years were analyzed prospectively.Pearson’s correlation examined the relationship between FI and PI,and logistic regression assessed the effects of PI on frailty transitions.Results This study included 9,093 older adults.FI values increased with age and were higher in women,whereas PI values decreased with age and were higher in men.Over 2 years,56.2%of the participants showed a stable frailty status,14.2%improved,and 29.6%worsened.Negative transitions were more common than positive transitions,with transitions occurring most frequently between adjacent states.The PI was moderately negatively correlated with the FI(r=−0.349,P<0.001).A higher PI was associated with a lower risk of negative transitions among robust and prefrail individuals(OR=0.989,0.981,both P<0.05),but showed no significant effect among those with existing frailty.Conclusion Negative frailty transitions were more common with advancing age.Enhancing PI may help prevent negative frailty transitions among robust and pre-frail older adults,underscoring the value of early interventions.展开更多

Objective:The cardiometabolic index(CMI)is a marker currently used to evaluate metabolism.Although the association between overactive bladder(OAB)and obesity has been evaluated in previous studies,the role of the CMI ...Objective:The cardiometabolic index(CMI)is a marker currently used to evaluate metabolism.Although the association between overactive bladder(OAB)and obesity has been evaluated in previous studies,the role of the CMI in adult OAB remains unclear.This study aimed to explore the association between the CMI and OAB in a representative nationwide population.Methods:This cross-sectional study used the 2011e2018 data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database.The CMI was calculated by multiplying the ratio of triglycerides to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and that of waist circumference to height.We used the Overactive Bladder Symptom Score to define OAB.Participants with an Overactive Bladder Symptom Score of≥3 were considered as having OAB.Smoothed curve fitting and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to examine the association between the CMI and OAB in adults.Consistency of these results was examined across various population subgroups.Results:The OAB group included 1549(21%)individuals.Statistically significant differences(p<0.05)were observed between the OAB group and the non-OAB group for all variables.After correcting for potential confounders,we discovered a strong positive association between the CMI and the risk of OAB.For every one-unit increase in CMI,the likelihood of OAB increased by 54%.Subgroup analysis of the association between the CMI and the odds of OAB showed that there were no significant interaction effects within most subgroups.However,the association may be altered by the presence of certain diseases,such as cardiovascular diseases(p=0.022)and diabetes(p=0.023).Conclusion:A higher CMI correlated with a higher risk of OAB development.However,the causal relationship requires further verification.展开更多
The study aimed at predicting potential suitable areas with national key reserve Orchidaceae plants in Heilongjiang province and conducive to plant protection.The distribution point data of six Orchidaceae plants and ...The study aimed at predicting potential suitable areas with national key reserve Orchidaceae plants in Heilongjiang province and conducive to plant protection.The distribution point data of six Orchidaceae plants and 19 bioclimatic variables were selected,and the environmental factors required for modeling were screened out by pearson correlation analysis and variance inflation factor(VIF)analysis.The potential suitable areas of Orchidaceae plants were predictat present and under different climate scenarios in 2090s by using geographic information system(GIS)and Maximum Entropy Model(MaxEnt).And then evaluated the prediction accuracy of the MaxEnt model using the AUC value,the TSS value and the Kappa value.The results showed that:1)The area under curve(AUC)values,true skill statistics(TSS)values and KAPPA values predicted by MaxEnt model were separately above 0.9,0.85 and 0.75.2)Under the climate scenario at present,the total suitable area of Orchidaceae plants was about 9.61×106km2,which was mainly distributed in Heilongjiang province.Among them,the high-suitable area of Cypripedium shanxiense S.C.Chen was the largest,the non-suitable area of Cypripedium guttatum Sw was the largest.3)Under different climate scenarios in 2090s,the total suitable area was slightly increasing(9.62×106km2).Among them,Cypripedium shanxiense S.C.Chen and Gastrodiae Rhizoma both showed the trend of expansion to the southwest,China,and the suitable areas expanded significantly.Comprehensive factor analysis showed that temperature and precipitation were the main bioclimatic variables of suitable areas distribution,and the low emission scenario(SSP 2-4.5)will be more conducive to the survival of Orchidaceae plants.展开更多
The current study examined the roles of collective self-esteem and personal self-esteem in the relationship between national identity and subjective well-being.Participants were 583 Chinese college students(females=49...The current study examined the roles of collective self-esteem and personal self-esteem in the relationship between national identity and subjective well-being.Participants were 583 Chinese college students(females=49%;mean age=19.25±1.85 years).They completed measures of national identity,collective self-esteem,personal self-esteem,and subjective well-being.Path analysis findings result indicated national identity to influence the students’subjective wellbeing through three pathways:(1)national identity→collective self-esteem→subjective well-being,meaning higher subjective wellbeing with collective self-esteem.(2)national identity→personal self-esteem→subjective well-being,to suggest higher personal self-esteem was associated with subjective wellbeing;(3)national identity→collective selfesteem→personal self-esteem→subjective well-being.Compared to simple mediation models constructed with only personal self-esteem or collective self-esteem as a single mediating variable,the chain mediation model better explains the mediating mechanism of national identity on subjective well-being(the variance explained by the mediating variables increased by 65.38%and 59.26%,respectively).The collective self-esteem and personal self-esteem mediation is consistent with social identity theory,whereby national identity enhances collective self-evaluation,which in turn bolsters personal self-worth and subjective well-being.These findings of the current study offer new insights into how national identity affects subjective well-being in collectivistic culture.展开更多
