摘要This study examined the mediating role of perceived supervisor–student relationship quality and the moderating role of student extraversion in the relationship between supervisor conscientiousness and graduate students’professional identity.A total of 450 graduate students completed surveys of supervisor conscientiousness, perceived supervisor–student relationship quality, professional identity, and extraversion. Results of a moderated mediation model testing showed that supervisor conscientiousness was associated with higher graduate students’professional identity.Perceived supervisor–student relationship quality mediated this association, with higher supervisor conscientiousness linked to better perceived supervisor–student relationship quality, which in turn related to higher levels of professional identity. In addition, student extraversion moderated the link between supervisor conscientiousness and perceived relationship quality, such that this association was stronger among students low in extraversion. These findings extend social learning theory by showing that supervisors’personality traits shape graduate students’professional identity through relational mechanisms, while also indicating this process may operate through relationship-based need satisfaction,as proposed in self-determination theory.By implication, fostering conscientious supervisory practices and supportive relationships may facilitate professional identity development, particularly among students low in extraversion.
摘要Professional learning communities(PLCs)offer essential contextual support for the development of foreign language teachers in higher education. The book Building Professional Learning Communities of Foreign Language Teachers in Higher Education,co-authored by Wen et al.(2021)systematically examines the necessity, practical measures, theoretical construction, and outcomes associated with building PLCs for university foreign language teachers.Notably,it introduces a research methodology rooted in local teacher education practices with Chinese characteristics—the dialectical research paradigm(DRP).This review introduces the content of the book, evaluates its contributions to teacher development, and explores its implications for future practice and research.

摘要The present study explored how teacher professional development(PD)activities function as a mediator between teachers’perceptions of work value and policy orientation, their motivation, and their overall job satisfaction. The study drew on a sample of 3047 Chinese junior high school teachers from the 2018 Teaching and Learning International Survey(TALIS),of whom 74.47%were female. Results from the mediation model revealed that job satisfaction was positively associated with teacher motivation,as well as with teachers’perceptions of value and policy orientation. The findings further revealed that teacher participation in PD activities played a partial mediating role in the links connecting altruistic motivation, perceptions of value and policy orientation, and job satisfaction. However, this mediating effect was not observed in the link between teacher extrinsic motivation and job satisfaction. Our findings provide evidence for Schwartz’s human values theory proposition that, when work values are aligned with teachers’values, their engagement in PD activities enhances job satisfaction.Practically,decision-makers should design PD programs and policy frameworks that help teachers internalize extrinsic motives into more autonomous forms.
摘要Clinical exercise professionals(CEPs)play a key role in supporting people with mental and physical health challenges.Yet access to services is inequitable, especially for‘hard to reach’or underserved populations such as people who have experienced trauma and social disadvan-tage,who could benefit most from exercise support.Through a socio-ecological lens,we discuss how limited referral pathways, variable workforce preparedness, and a lack of exercise integration within safe,equity-oriented systems of care contribute to underutilisation of CEPs.To deliver equitable care,we discuss strengthening workforce capacity through cultural responsiveness and trauma-and violence-informed care training.Partnerships and models of collaborative,community-based services are presented. We call to action various stakeholders to support activation of the CEP workforce to create appropriate physical activity opportunities for underserved populations.

摘要The professional identity of newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation is a core issue in the construction of grassroots education teacher teams, and it holds crucial significance for both the professional development of new teachers and the improvement of grassroots education quality.A survey conducted among 311 newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation reveals that there is a positive correlation between their sense of place, teacher professional identity, professional adaptability, and professional self-efficacy.Professional adaptability and professional self-efficacy play a partial mediating role in the process of sense of place influencing the professional identity of newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation.Furthermore, within the influence of sense of place on the professional identity of newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation, there exists a complete chain mediation effect between professional adaptability and professional self-efficacy.To enhance the professional identity of newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation, concerted efforts from multiple parties are required:education management departments and schools should focus on strengthening the sense of place of newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation, helping them integrate better into their teaching environment;meanwhile, systematic training and other methods should be employed to enhance the professional adaptability of new teachers and provide more professional support to enhance their professional self-efficacy,thereby promoting the formation and consolidation of their professional identity. This study not only clarifies the internal mechanism by which sense of place affects the professional identity of newly-recruited teachers with a specific orientation, but also provides theoretical support and practical guidance for enhancing their professional identity and stability, thereby facilitating their professional development.

摘要The emergence of new employment models has introduced characteristics such as platformization, flexibility, and multifunctionality, creating a structural contradiction between the dynamic industrial demands of industry-education collaboration and the stable supply of education. This paper analyzes three layers of practical contradictions and deep integration barriers, establishes a four-dimensional collaborative framework encompassing technological integration, talent adaptation, functional coupling, and spatial agglomeration, proposes a systematic implementation pathway, and promotes deep alignment between the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain, and innovation chain.
摘要BACKGROUND Ischemic bowel disease(IBD)is a critical condition caused by reduced blood flow to the intestines, leading to tissue damage and potentially severe complications.Early recognition and timely management are essential for improving patient outcomes and reducing morbidity and mortality associated with IBD.AIM To evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practice(KAP)of healthcare professionals regarding IBD.METHODS This cross-sectional study was conducted among healthcare professionals in China from November 2023 to December 2023 using a self-designed questionnaire.RESULTS A total of 315 valid questionnaires were analyzed, with 215 participants(68.25%)being female. The mean KAP scores were 17.55±5.35(range:0-24),27.65±2.77(range:8-40),and 18.88±4.23(range:6-30),respectively.Multivariate linear regression analysis revealed the following factors to be independently associated with knowledge:Age 26-35 years(β=2.80,95%CI:0.31-5.30,P=0.028),professional title(β=2.66,95%CI:0.91-4.41,P=0.003),position(β=-3.78,95%CI:-5.45 to-2.11,P<0.001),participation in IBD-related training(β=3.45,95%CI:2.39-4.51,P<0.001),and admission of more than five IBD cases in the past month(β=3.25,95%CI:1.58-4.92,P<0.001).Attitude was independently associated with knowledge(β=0.20,95%CI:0.15-0.26,P<0.001)and being a nurse or nursing supervisor(β=-1.30,95%CI:-2.16 to-0.40,P=0.003).Practice was independently associated with knowledge(β=0.20,95%CI:0.10-0.30,P<0.001)and attitude(β=0.24,95%CI:0.06-0.42,P=0.007).Structural equation modeling demonstrated direct effects of knowledge on attitude(β=0.24,P<0.001)and practice(β=0.26,P<0.001),as well as of attitude on practice(β=0.22,P=0.012).CONCLUSION Healthcare professionals demonstrated adequate knowledge but moderate attitude and inactive practice regarding IBD.Addressing the gaps in attitude and practice through targeted training programs and interventions is essential for improving patient care and outcomes.
摘要Over the past decade, the integration of information and communications technologies(ICTs)in healthcare has grown significantly,as has the rapid increase in internet access and mobile device ownership by individuals. However, challenges such as the digital divide, encompassing disparities in access, usage skills, and the benefits derived from ICT use, persist.Addressing this divide is crucial for maximizing the potential of digital health technologies, particularly for more vulnerable people in society who often require the most support. This commentary paper's aim is to advocate training,in both educational and healthcare settings,so as to contribute towards bridging the digital divide. We propose that educational programs for healthcare professionals in academic institutions can integrate modules on the digital health divide within existing courses on social determinants of health(e.g.,sociology,epidemiology,and health informatics)or in specific courses on digital health. The recommended courses should include modules on the digital divide, its causes, implications, and strategies to first assess and then enhance digital and health literacy among patients.Training healthcare professionals in work settings would be part of continuous professional development. This training should include assessing digital health literacy, identifying barriers to uptake, engagement and impact of digital health tools, and providing tailored education on digital health tools or interventions.Healthcare professionals should follow protocols to ensure the effective use of digital health tools by diverse patients and have access to community resources for ongoing support. Finally, the paper suggests service-wide international standards for ameliorating the digital divide.
摘要BACKGROUND Global tumor incidence rises and therapies advance, driving oncology nursing specialization.Granting nurses prescriptive authority optimizes care but polarizes nurses'attitudes due to factors like risk and competence, hindering policy implementation.AIM To investigate the current status of the attitudes of oncology specialist nurses toward having prescribing authority, specifically concerning symptom management and supportive care in oncology practice, and we conducted a path analysis of their influencing factors.METHODS As participants in the survey, oncology specialist nurses working in hospitals of different grades in Jiangsu Province were selected from March 2025 to May 2025 using a stratified sampling method. The questionnaires were administered using the general information questionnaire, the beliefs and attitudes about nurses'prescriptive authority scale, the nurses'professional identity scale, and the selfefficacy scale.Pearson’s method was used to analyze the correlation between beliefs and attitudes about the prescriptive authority, professional identity, and self-efficacy of nurses.Multiple linear regression was performed to analyze the factors influencing the beliefs and attitudes of nurses’prescriptive authority. The Amos plug-in was used to construct structural equation models to analyze the influencing pathways.RESULTS A total of 329 questionnaires were distributed, and 328 valid questionnaires were returned(effective recovery rate:99.70%).The total score of the 328 oncology nurses on the beliefs and attitudes about nurses'prescriptive authority scale was 101.88±15.13,indicating a moderately high level.Univariate analysis revealed that gender and hospital grade were associated with this score(P<0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis revealed that self-efficacy was positively correlated with the scores of the beliefs and attitudes about nurses’prescriptive authority scale and the nurses’professional identity scale(r=0.4999,P<0.0001 and r=0.7048,P<0.05,respectively),whereas occupational identity was positively correlated only with the former(r=0.6209,P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed occupational identity and self-efficacy as the factors influencing the scores of the beliefs and attitudes about nurses’prescriptive authority scale(P<0.05).The results of the path analysis revealed that selfefficacy significantly positively affected nurses’occupational identity and their beliefs and attitudes about having prescriptive authority;occupational identity played a mediating role between the two, with a mediating effect accounting for 54.46% of the total effect, and the structural equation model was well-fitted.CONCLUSION Oncology nurses have more positive attitudes toward prescriptive authority. In addition,self-efficacy positively and indirectly affects nurses’attitudes toward prescriptive authority through the mediating effect of occupational identity. This can be used as a basis for clinical practice to take targeted measures to improve nurses’self-efficacy and occupational identity, thus creating favorable conditions for effectively implementing the policy of prescriptive authority.
