Trade induces spatial redistribution of carbon emissions.Previous attempts to investigate the impact of trade patterns on the spatial distribution of emissions across regions in China failed to consider the special ex...Trade induces spatial redistribution of carbon emissions.Previous attempts to investigate the impact of trade patterns on the spatial distribution of emissions across regions in China failed to consider the special export structure of each region,leading to inaccurate results.To reassess the emissions embodiment in interregional and international exports(EEX)and quantify the underlying determinants of the EEX growth in each region,we applied the structural decomposition analysis(SDA)within a new environmental bipartite inter-regional input-output(BIRIO)framework that distinguishes processing from ordinary production.Results show that EEX growth rates are significant and vary across regions.On the demand side,the change in total ordinary exports and non-local total final demand are the major contributors to the EEX growth before and after the financial crisis,respectively.On the production side,the production technology effect reversed from positive before 2007 to negative after 2007,showing that the production process changed from emission-intensive before 2007 to decreasing emissions after that year.Overall,the processing export effect is more dominant in coastal regions,which even surpasses the ordinary export effect in South Coast from 2007 to 2012.In contrast,non-local effects dominated the EEX change in inland regions,implying their growing participation in both interregional and international production fragmentation.The results from this study shed light on who is responsible for the increased emissions and support some relevant policy recommendations.展开更多

The species pool hypothesis argues that local species diversity mainly depends on regional diversity,which is influenced by dispersal,historical and current environmental conditions.We hypothesize that regional factor...The species pool hypothesis argues that local species diversity mainly depends on regional diversity,which is influenced by dispersal,historical and current environmental conditions.We hypothesize that regional factors,such as the size of the regional species pool,current climate,topographical variability,and historical climate stability,also impact local species-abundance patterns,like the rarity of local species,though their specific effects are not yet well understood.Analyzing data from 3307 species across 3923 forest plots in Chinese subtropical and tropical regions,we employed boosted regression trees and structural equation modeling to assess the roles of regional species pool size along with climatic seasonality,topography,and soil factors,in shaping local richness and rarity.We found that local tree species richness declined with increasing latitude,while species rarity decreased from west to east.The factors such as current regional environment,paleoclimate stability,and human disturbance significantly affected local richness and rarity,primarily through their effects on regional species pool size.The impacts of regional mean temperature and elevational range on local richness surpassed local influences.Conversely,local climatic seasonality exerted the strongest influence on species rarity,followed by human activity.Overall,the findings indicate that regions with large regional species pools tend to support diverse communities with high proportions of rare species.展开更多
Waves are important physical phenomena in an ocean,and their accurate prediction is essential for ocean engineering,maritime traffic,and marine early warning systems.This study focuses on the Qinhuangdao Sea area loca...Waves are important physical phenomena in an ocean,and their accurate prediction is essential for ocean engineering,maritime traffic,and marine early warning systems.This study focuses on the Qinhuangdao Sea area located in the Bohai Sea,China.Herein,we use on-site wind data to correct the reanalysis wind data obtained from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF),improving the accuracy of boundary conditions.Then,we use the Simulating WAves Nearshore(SWAN)model to simulate the regional wave field over time.A regional wave-parameter prediction model is then developed using a limited number of sampled data(covering only 2 years,2020–2021);the model is based on the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),convolutional neural networks(CNNs),and long short-term memory(LSTM)neural networks.WOA is used to optimize the CNN and LSTM framework;in this framework,CNN extracts spatial features,and the LSTM network captures temporal features,enabling accurate short and long-term predictions of wave height,period,and direction.The experimental results showed that despite the small sample size,the model achieves a goodness of fit of 0.9957 for wave height prediction,0.9973 for period,and 0.9749 for wave direction in short-term forecasting.As the prediction step size increases,the accuracy of the model decreases.When the prediction step size reaches 9 h,the root mean square error for the prediction of wave height,period,and direction increases to 0.2060 m,0.4582 s,and32.5358°,respectively.The reliability and applicability of the model are further validated by the experimental results.Our findings highlighted the potential of the developed model in operational wave forecasting,even with a limited number of sampled data.展开更多
Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosyst...Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosystem functions in China’s Loess Plateau have significantly improved.However,intensified human activities have also exacerbated the pressures on the region’s fragile ecological environment.This study investigates the spatiotemporal variations in the human activity intensity index(HAI)and net ecosystem benefits(NEB)from 2000 to 2020,using expert-based assessments and an enhanced cost-benefit evaluation framework.Results indicate that HAI increased by 16.7% and 16.6% at the grid and county levels,respectively.NEB exhibited pronounced spatial heterogeneity,with a total increase of USD 36.2 trillion at the grid scale.At the county level,the average NEB rose by 75%.The degree of trade-off was higher at the grid scale than at the county scale,while the synergistic areas initially expanded and then declined at both scales.Key areas for improvement and regions of lagging development were identified as priority zones for ecological management and spatial planning at both spatial resolutions.This study offers scientific insights and practical guidance for harmonizing ecological conservation with high-quality development in ecologically vulnerable regions.展开更多

BACKGROUND Post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)is a common psychological complication after radical lung cancer surgery and has a significant impact on postoperative recovery and quality of life.Esketamine,a new anest...BACKGROUND Post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)is a common psychological complication after radical lung cancer surgery and has a significant impact on postoperative recovery and quality of life.Esketamine,a new anesthetic agent,may be protective against postoperative PTSD through modulation of neurotransmitter systems and anti-inflammatory actions.AIM To explore the underlying mechanisms by which esketamine-assisted regional block prevents postoperative PTSD in patients undergoing radical lung cancer surgery.METHODS We conducted a retrospective review of the clinical data of 218 radical lung cancer surgery patients in our thoracic surgery department from January 2021 to December 2024.Patients were stratified by anesthetic protocol into a control group(regional block only,n=106)and an esketamine group(esketamine assisted regional block,n=112).At 3 months after the operation,postoperative PTSD occurrence was assessed by using the PTSD checklist for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,fifth edition.Preoperative and 24-hour postoperative serum levels of cortisol and interleukin(IL)-6 were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify risk factors and receiver operating characteristic curves were used to assess predictive efficacy.RESULTS Among 218 enrolled patients(mean age:58.4±9.2 years;male proportion,61.5%),there were 62 patients(28.4%)who developed PTSD at the postoperative period of 3 months.Esketamine injection was associated with considerably reduced PTSD rates relative to control(19.6%vs 37.7%,P<0.001),a reduction of risk by 48%relative and an absolute risk difference of 18.1%.At 24 hours postoperatively,serum cortisol(326.4±68.2 nmol/L vs 458.3±92.6 nmol/L)and IL-6 levels(42.8±12.6 pg/mL vs 68.4±18.2 pg/mL)were significantly lower in the esketamine group compared with control subjects,respectively(P<0.05).The multivariate analysis demonstrated that the esketamine use[odds ratio(OR)=0.38;95%CI:0.19-0.74;P=0.005],postoperative pain score(OR=2.86;95%CI:1.52-5.38;P=0.001)and postoperative IL-6 level(OR=2.24;95%CI:1.18-4.26;P=0.014)were independent factors contributing to PTSD occurrence.The combined prediction model had an area under the curve of 0.856(95%CI:0.802-0.910),and its sensitivity and specificity were respectively observed to be 78.7%and 84.6%.CONCLUSION Esketamine-assisted regional block could substantially reduce post-surgical PTSD prevalence after radical lung cancer surgery,probably via anti-stress-inflammation modulation.Post-operative pain management and inflammatory marker monitoring contribute to the better early diagnosis of potential high-risk PTSD patients.This study offers a new therapeutic strategy and theoretical foundation for the postoperative prevention of PTSD in lung cancer patients.展开更多
Regional soil erosion mapping is crucial for understanding erosion patterns and guiding conservation planning.The ridge-furrow direction is an important factor influencing soil erosion and can be quantified using the ...Regional soil erosion mapping is crucial for understanding erosion patterns and guiding conservation planning.The ridge-furrow direction is an important factor influencing soil erosion and can be quantified using the oblique cross-slope tillage subfactor(To).However,To has often been overlooked in regional assessments because of data and computational challenges.In this study,a novel methodology was introduced for calculating To on a regional scale,including sample unit design,parcel-by-parcel furrow direction surveys,grid-by-grid To calculations,and interpolation to obtain regional To values.Using Northeast China(1.432 million km2)as a case study,945 sample units(small watersheds of about 1 km2 each)were designed based on a stratified systematic area sampling method.In total,6,679 erosion parcels were delineated,and 7,283 tillage lines were digitized to calculate To.Soil erosion rates were assessed using the proposed method and compared with regional assessments that neglected To,with detailed survey-based To estimates within the sample units used as the reference values.The results showed that neglecting To led to a 30.1%overestimation,whereas the proposed regional method reduced this overestimation to 6.3%.The average To value across the study region was 0.805,and its distribution was closely related to topography,with higher values in gentler areas and lower values in steeper areas.These findings provide valuable guidance for soil conservation planning:maintaining north-south tillage in areas with slopes5°.The incorporation of To into regional soil erosion assessments is crucial,and the proposed method provides an effective and practical solution.展开更多
Establishing a Regional Marine Innovation Ecosystem(RMIE)is crucial for advancing China’s maritime power strategy.Concurrently,developing a competitive RMIE serves as a strategic lever to enhance the global competiti...Establishing a Regional Marine Innovation Ecosystem(RMIE)is crucial for advancing China’s maritime power strategy.Concurrently,developing a competitive RMIE serves as a strategic lever to enhance the global competitiveness of China’s marine science sector.However,research on the competitiveness of RMIE is limited.To this end,this study constructs an evaluation index system based on ecological niche theory to assess the competitiveness of RMIE in China from 2008 to 2020.The findings indicate generally fluctuating upward trends in RMIE’s competitiveness,with Shandong,Jiangsu,and Guangdong showing relatively strong positions.Notably,there are significant intra-regional imbalances and inter-regional asynchrony in RMIE’s competitiveness across China’s three major marine economic circles.Recognizing that forecasting RMIE competitiveness can inform policy formulation,this paper proposes a systematic multivariate grey interval prediction model that incorporates spatial proximity effects.This model effectively captures the interval and uncertainty characteristics of RMIE’s competitiveness while considering spatial relationships among regions.Results from comparative analysis,robustness tests,and sensitivity analysis demonstrate its superior applicability and forecasting accuracy.Additionally,interval forecasts and scenario analyses suggest that RMIE competitiveness will maintain stable growth,although unbalanced and unsynchronized development is likely to persist.Overall,the approach developed for evaluating and forecasting RMIE competitiveness offers valuable insights for effective policy formulation.展开更多

In the complex architecture of global value-chain(GVC)trade,firms’technological content increasingly reflects external knowledge flows.This study examines how inter-regional technological complementarity shapes firms...In the complex architecture of global value-chain(GVC)trade,firms’technological content increasingly reflects external knowledge flows.This study examines how inter-regional technological complementarity shapes firms’GVC advancement,measured by the domestic value-added rate(DVAR)in exports.Using integrated Chinese microdata(2000-2014),we find this complementarity significantly boosts export DVAR,explaining about one-quarter of its observed growth.Two mechanisms drive this effect:increased use of domestic intermediates and gains in firm productivity.The benefits are especially large for firms with lower human capital and for those in accessible,innovation-peripheral regions,helping narrow productivity gaps across firms and space.Affected firms also exhibit broader export scopes,higher product quality,more diversified destinations,and greater markups-firm-level evidence of GVC upgrading.These findings highlight how external technological linkages drive upgrading and underscore the importance of fostering inter-regional synergies for balanced development.展开更多

In the context of the revolution in new technologies,a key question is whether the rapid growth of the digital economy,driven by digital technologies,has improved regional innovation performance.Using inter-provincial...In the context of the revolution in new technologies,a key question is whether the rapid growth of the digital economy,driven by digital technologies,has improved regional innovation performance.Using inter-provincial panel data from China(2012–2022)and adopting a business environment perspective,this study applies a Panel Extended Regression Model(PERM),a Panel Simultaneous Equation Model(PSEM),and a Tobit-IV model to analyze how the development of the digital economy influences regional innovation.The results reveal a pronounced U-shaped relationship between the digital economy and the regional innovation performance at the provincial level in China,with the business environment serving as a significant mediator in this relationship.Moreover,regional innovation performance in China exhibits a“ratchet effect,”with the impact of the digital economy varying markedly across regions.While the eastern and western regions have entered an upward phase,whereby the digital economy boosts innovation,the central region displays a weaker effect.Further analysis indicates that the synergy between the business environment and the digital economy in driving innovation remains suboptimal.These findings were supported by robust checks.This study offers theoretical insights and empirical evidence that support the coordinated development of digital government and the digital factor market,as well as business environment reforms that are in alignment with the innovation demands of the digital era.展开更多

The Hindu Kush Himalaya(HKH)hosts the largest concentration of glaciers,seasonal snow,and permafrost outside the polar regions.Ongoing climate change has accelerated glacier mass loss,reduced snow cover,degraded perma...The Hindu Kush Himalaya(HKH)hosts the largest concentration of glaciers,seasonal snow,and permafrost outside the polar regions.Ongoing climate change has accelerated glacier mass loss,reduced snow cover,degraded permafrost,and altered runoff seasonality.These changes have amplified multihazard risks such as glacial lake outburst floods,avalanches,and landslides,with cascading impacts on water,energy,food,ecosystems,and livelihoods.Yet,field monitoring remains sparse,fragmented,and uneven across the region with limited long-term records and minimal data sharing.This perspective presents a Regional Cryosphere Strategy(RCS)for the HKH that responds to these deficits by:(i)consolidating and institutionalising standardised monitoring of glaciers,snow,and permafrost;(ii)building sustained capacity through specialised regional capacity-building activities,fellowships,and shared instrumentation with priority given to a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion(GESI)framework;(iii)establishing a Regional HKH CryoHub to ensure Findable,Accessible,Interoperable,and Reusable(FAIR)and policy-relevant data and knowledge services;and(iv)prioritising operational decisionsupport services such as the HKH seasonal Snow Watch for water and energy planning,hazard monitoring and early warning systems,and basin-scale assessments that link cryosphere trends to risks for people and infrastructure.This strategy is designed to align HKH observations and services with global initiatives,ensuring that regional data streams inform global assessments while countries can access technical and financial support mechanisms.We argue that a basin-representative,quality-assured,and interoperable cryosphere observation and services system can strengthen regional resilience,reduce risks,and amplify the HKH voice in global climate dialogues.展开更多
Purpose:Understanding formation mechanisms of regional collaborative innovation networks is crucial for effective innovation policy design,yet existing research lacks comprehensive empirical examination of how multipl...Purpose:Understanding formation mechanisms of regional collaborative innovation networks is crucial for effective innovation policy design,yet existing research lacks comprehensive empirical examination of how multiple mechanisms operate simultaneously across network evolution phases.Design/methodology/approach:This study conducts the first longitudinal multi-mechanism analysis by examining 57,846 collaborative patent applications among 3,582 organizations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(2009-2023).Using phase-segmented exponential random graph models across three developmental stages,we assess five key mechanisms:preferential attachment,triadic closure,brokerage potential,organizational homophily,and experience accumulation.Findings:Our findings reveal a paradoxical“elite-driven community closure”trajectory.Despite network expansion,declining density indicates heightened partner selectivity.Preferential attachment effects persist throughout all phases,sustaining elite hub dominance,while experience accumulation effects diminish over time.Strengthening triadic closure alongside persistently negative brokerage effects creates closure-dominated topologies limiting cross-boundary knowledge flows.Most critically,persistent organizational homophily constrains industry-university-research integration despite policy incentives,demonstrating that structural inertia resists policy intervention more than previously assumed.Research limitations:The analysis focuses on collaboration quantity rather than quality outcomes and applies specifically to patent-based collaboration networks.Practical implications:Three targeted policy adjustments are recommended:(1)reducing cross-type collaboration transaction costs through institutional innovation,(2)counteracting preferential attachment concentration via peripheral engagement strategies,and(3)creating reputation-sharing infrastructure to extend trust beyond homophily clusters.Originality/value:Our mechanism-based approach advances network evolution theory by revealing how microlevel collaboration decisions aggregate into macro-level structural patterns.展开更多
To address the high costs and operational instability of distribution networks caused by the large-scale integration of distributed energy resources(DERs)(such as photovoltaic(PV)systems,wind turbines(WT),and energy s...To address the high costs and operational instability of distribution networks caused by the large-scale integration of distributed energy resources(DERs)(such as photovoltaic(PV)systems,wind turbines(WT),and energy storage(ES)devices),and the increased grid load fluctuations and safety risks due to uncoordinated electric vehicles(EVs)charging,this paper proposes a novel dual-scale hierarchical collaborative optimization strategy.This strategy decouples system-level economic dispatch from distributed EV agent control,effectively solving the resource coordination conflicts arising from the high computational complexity,poor scalability of existing centralized optimization,or the reliance on local information decision-making in fully decentralized frameworks.At the lower level,an EV charging and discharging model with a hybrid discrete-continuous action space is established,and optimized using an improved Parameterized Deep Q-Network(PDQN)algorithm,which directly handles mode selection and power regulation while embedding physical constraints to ensure safety.At the upper level,microgrid(MG)operators adopt a dynamic pricing strategy optimized through Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)to maximize economic benefits and achieve peak-valley shaving.Simulation results show that the proposed strategy outperforms traditional methods,reducing the total operating cost of the MG by 21.6%,decreasing the peak-to-valley load difference by 33.7%,reducing the number of voltage limit violations by 88.9%,and lowering the average electricity cost for EV users by 15.2%.This method brings a win-win result for operators and users,providing a reliable and efficient scheduling solution for distribution networks with high renewable energy penetration rates.展开更多
摘要Trade induces spatial redistribution of carbon emissions.Previous attempts to investigate the impact of trade patterns on the spatial distribution of emissions across regions in China failed to consider the special export structure of each region,leading to inaccurate results.To reassess the emissions embodiment in interregional and international exports(EEX)and quantify the underlying determinants of the EEX growth in each region,we applied the structural decomposition analysis(SDA)within a new environmental bipartite inter-regional input-output(BIRIO)framework that distinguishes processing from ordinary production.Results show that EEX growth rates are significant and vary across regions.On the demand side,the change in total ordinary exports and non-local total final demand are the major contributors to the EEX growth before and after the financial crisis,respectively.On the production side,the production technology effect reversed from positive before 2007 to negative after 2007,showing that the production process changed from emission-intensive before 2007 to decreasing emissions after that year.Overall,the processing export effect is more dominant in coastal regions,which even surpasses the ordinary export effect in South Coast from 2007 to 2012.In contrast,non-local effects dominated the EEX change in inland regions,implying their growing participation in both interregional and international production fragmentation.The results from this study shed light on who is responsible for the increased emissions and support some relevant policy recommendations.

摘要The concept of geographical indication is similar to the idea of authentic medicinal herbs in traditional Chinese medicine. This paper examines the geographical indication (GI) resources of medicinal herbs in the Wuling Mountain Area from various perspectives, including geographical indication products, geographical indication trademarks, China s geographical indication products mutually recognized and protected with the EU, geographical indication standards, and the exclusive geographical indication logo. It studies the regional public brand characteristics of Chinese authentic medicinal herbs, based on hometown of authentic Chinese medicinal herbs, advantageous regions of characteristic agricultural products, important agricultural cultural heritage, national famous and excellent new agricultural products, national characteristic agricultural products, geographical indication Chinese well-known trademarks, advantageous regions of characteristic agricultural products, and regional public brands of agricultural products. It analyzes the main problems in the protection of geographical indications and the creation of regional public brands, and proposes suggestions for building high-quality authentic medicinal herb bases, developing new quality productivity in the authentic medicinal herb industry, implementing regional brand strategies for authentic medicinal herbs, constructing a new development pattern of dual circulation authentic medicinal herbs, etc.

摘要The species pool hypothesis argues that local species diversity mainly depends on regional diversity,which is influenced by dispersal,historical and current environmental conditions.We hypothesize that regional factors,such as the size of the regional species pool,current climate,topographical variability,and historical climate stability,also impact local species-abundance patterns,like the rarity of local species,though their specific effects are not yet well understood.Analyzing data from 3307 species across 3923 forest plots in Chinese subtropical and tropical regions,we employed boosted regression trees and structural equation modeling to assess the roles of regional species pool size along with climatic seasonality,topography,and soil factors,in shaping local richness and rarity.We found that local tree species richness declined with increasing latitude,while species rarity decreased from west to east.The factors such as current regional environment,paleoclimate stability,and human disturbance significantly affected local richness and rarity,primarily through their effects on regional species pool size.The impacts of regional mean temperature and elevational range on local richness surpassed local influences.Conversely,local climatic seasonality exerted the strongest influence on species rarity,followed by human activity.Overall,the findings indicate that regions with large regional species pools tend to support diverse communities with high proportions of rare species.

摘要Waves are important physical phenomena in an ocean,and their accurate prediction is essential for ocean engineering,maritime traffic,and marine early warning systems.This study focuses on the Qinhuangdao Sea area located in the Bohai Sea,China.Herein,we use on-site wind data to correct the reanalysis wind data obtained from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF),improving the accuracy of boundary conditions.Then,we use the Simulating WAves Nearshore(SWAN)model to simulate the regional wave field over time.A regional wave-parameter prediction model is then developed using a limited number of sampled data(covering only 2 years,2020–2021);the model is based on the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),convolutional neural networks(CNNs),and long short-term memory(LSTM)neural networks.WOA is used to optimize the CNN and LSTM framework;in this framework,CNN extracts spatial features,and the LSTM network captures temporal features,enabling accurate short and long-term predictions of wave height,period,and direction.The experimental results showed that despite the small sample size,the model achieves a goodness of fit of 0.9957 for wave height prediction,0.9973 for period,and 0.9749 for wave direction in short-term forecasting.As the prediction step size increases,the accuracy of the model decreases.When the prediction step size reaches 9 h,the root mean square error for the prediction of wave height,period,and direction increases to 0.2060 m,0.4582 s,and32.5358°,respectively.The reliability and applicability of the model are further validated by the experimental results.Our findings highlighted the potential of the developed model in operational wave forecasting,even with a limited number of sampled data.

摘要Understanding the complex interactions between human activities and ecosystem functions is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development.Since the implementation of the“Grain for Green”Project in 1999,ecosystem functions in China’s Loess Plateau have significantly improved.However,intensified human activities have also exacerbated the pressures on the region’s fragile ecological environment.This study investigates the spatiotemporal variations in the human activity intensity index(HAI)and net ecosystem benefits(NEB)from 2000 to 2020,using expert-based assessments and an enhanced cost-benefit evaluation framework.Results indicate that HAI increased by 16.7% and 16.6% at the grid and county levels,respectively.NEB exhibited pronounced spatial heterogeneity,with a total increase of USD 36.2 trillion at the grid scale.At the county level,the average NEB rose by 75%.The degree of trade-off was higher at the grid scale than at the county scale,while the synergistic areas initially expanded and then declined at both scales.Key areas for improvement and regions of lagging development were identified as priority zones for ecological management and spatial planning at both spatial resolutions.This study offers scientific insights and practical guidance for harmonizing ecological conservation with high-quality development in ecologically vulnerable regions.

摘要Driven by the global energy transition and the urgent“dual carbon”goals,regional integrated energy system(RIES)planning is undergoing a paradigm shift from carbon reduction to negative carbon emissions.This paper provides a comprehensive review of the theoretical frameworks and technical pathways for RIES planning from a carbon-centric perspective.A key contribution is the proposed Carbon-Energy-Economy(CEE)triple-dimensional governance framework,which endogenizes carbon factors into planning decisions through emission constraints,trading mechanisms,and capture technologies.We first analyze the fundamental characteristics of RIES and their critical role in achieving carbon neutrality,detailing advancements in multi-energy coupling models,energy router concepts,and standardized energy hub modeling.The paper further explores multi-energy flow analysis methods,and systematically compares the applicability and limitations of various planning algorithms,with emphasis on addressing uncertainties from renewable integration.Finally,we highlight the integration of artificial intelligence with traditional optimization methods,offering new pathways for intelligent,adaptive,and low-carbon RIES planning.This review underscores the transition towards data-physical fusion models,cooperative uncertainty optimization,multi-market planning,and innovative zeroegative-carbon technological routes.

摘要BACKGROUND Post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)is a common psychological complication after radical lung cancer surgery and has a significant impact on postoperative recovery and quality of life.Esketamine,a new anesthetic agent,may be protective against postoperative PTSD through modulation of neurotransmitter systems and anti-inflammatory actions.AIM To explore the underlying mechanisms by which esketamine-assisted regional block prevents postoperative PTSD in patients undergoing radical lung cancer surgery.METHODS We conducted a retrospective review of the clinical data of 218 radical lung cancer surgery patients in our thoracic surgery department from January 2021 to December 2024.Patients were stratified by anesthetic protocol into a control group(regional block only,n=106)and an esketamine group(esketamine assisted regional block,n=112).At 3 months after the operation,postoperative PTSD occurrence was assessed by using the PTSD checklist for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,fifth edition.Preoperative and 24-hour postoperative serum levels of cortisol and interleukin(IL)-6 were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify risk factors and receiver operating characteristic curves were used to assess predictive efficacy.RESULTS Among 218 enrolled patients(mean age:58.4±9.2 years;male proportion,61.5%),there were 62 patients(28.4%)who developed PTSD at the postoperative period of 3 months.Esketamine injection was associated with considerably reduced PTSD rates relative to control(19.6%vs 37.7%,P<0.001),a reduction of risk by 48%relative and an absolute risk difference of 18.1%.At 24 hours postoperatively,serum cortisol(326.4±68.2 nmol/L vs 458.3±92.6 nmol/L)and IL-6 levels(42.8±12.6 pg/mL vs 68.4±18.2 pg/mL)were significantly lower in the esketamine group compared with control subjects,respectively(P<0.05).The multivariate analysis demonstrated that the esketamine use[odds ratio(OR)=0.38;95%CI:0.19-0.74;P=0.005],postoperative pain score(OR=2.86;95%CI:1.52-5.38;P=0.001)and postoperative IL-6 level(OR=2.24;95%CI:1.18-4.26;P=0.014)were independent factors contributing to PTSD occurrence.The combined prediction model had an area under the curve of 0.856(95%CI:0.802-0.910),and its sensitivity and specificity were respectively observed to be 78.7%and 84.6%.CONCLUSION Esketamine-assisted regional block could substantially reduce post-surgical PTSD prevalence after radical lung cancer surgery,probably via anti-stress-inflammation modulation.Post-operative pain management and inflammatory marker monitoring contribute to the better early diagnosis of potential high-risk PTSD patients.This study offers a new therapeutic strategy and theoretical foundation for the postoperative prevention of PTSD in lung cancer patients.

摘要Regional soil erosion mapping is crucial for understanding erosion patterns and guiding conservation planning.The ridge-furrow direction is an important factor influencing soil erosion and can be quantified using the oblique cross-slope tillage subfactor(To).However,To has often been overlooked in regional assessments because of data and computational challenges.In this study,a novel methodology was introduced for calculating To on a regional scale,including sample unit design,parcel-by-parcel furrow direction surveys,grid-by-grid To calculations,and interpolation to obtain regional To values.Using Northeast China(1.432 million km2)as a case study,945 sample units(small watersheds of about 1 km2 each)were designed based on a stratified systematic area sampling method.In total,6,679 erosion parcels were delineated,and 7,283 tillage lines were digitized to calculate To.Soil erosion rates were assessed using the proposed method and compared with regional assessments that neglected To,with detailed survey-based To estimates within the sample units used as the reference values.The results showed that neglecting To led to a 30.1%overestimation,whereas the proposed regional method reduced this overestimation to 6.3%.The average To value across the study region was 0.805,and its distribution was closely related to topography,with higher values in gentler areas and lower values in steeper areas.These findings provide valuable guidance for soil conservation planning:maintaining north-south tillage in areas with slopes5°.The incorporation of To into regional soil erosion assessments is crucial,and the proposed method provides an effective and practical solution.

摘要Establishing a Regional Marine Innovation Ecosystem(RMIE)is crucial for advancing China’s maritime power strategy.Concurrently,developing a competitive RMIE serves as a strategic lever to enhance the global competitiveness of China’s marine science sector.However,research on the competitiveness of RMIE is limited.To this end,this study constructs an evaluation index system based on ecological niche theory to assess the competitiveness of RMIE in China from 2008 to 2020.The findings indicate generally fluctuating upward trends in RMIE’s competitiveness,with Shandong,Jiangsu,and Guangdong showing relatively strong positions.Notably,there are significant intra-regional imbalances and inter-regional asynchrony in RMIE’s competitiveness across China’s three major marine economic circles.Recognizing that forecasting RMIE competitiveness can inform policy formulation,this paper proposes a systematic multivariate grey interval prediction model that incorporates spatial proximity effects.This model effectively captures the interval and uncertainty characteristics of RMIE’s competitiveness while considering spatial relationships among regions.Results from comparative analysis,robustness tests,and sensitivity analysis demonstrate its superior applicability and forecasting accuracy.Additionally,interval forecasts and scenario analyses suggest that RMIE competitiveness will maintain stable growth,although unbalanced and unsynchronized development is likely to persist.Overall,the approach developed for evaluating and forecasting RMIE competitiveness offers valuable insights for effective policy formulation.
摘要Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)management mainly revolves around general lifestyle modifications that almost always include weight loss,an approach that fails to reflect the biological and ethnic diversity of the condition.Clinical and epidemiological evidences are suggestive of PCOS-associated metabolic and reproductive risk varying markedly across phenotypes and populations.These include obese,hyperandrogenic presentations to metabolically vulnerable women with lean-PCOS.Thus,universal lifestyle advice frequently delivers inconsistent or limited benefit.In this article,we propose a phenotype-guided and regionally informed approach to lifestyle intervention that incorporates hormonal,metabolic,and contextual factors,and this may allow PCOS care to move toward more precise and clinically meaningful intervention.

摘要In the complex architecture of global value-chain(GVC)trade,firms’technological content increasingly reflects external knowledge flows.This study examines how inter-regional technological complementarity shapes firms’GVC advancement,measured by the domestic value-added rate(DVAR)in exports.Using integrated Chinese microdata(2000-2014),we find this complementarity significantly boosts export DVAR,explaining about one-quarter of its observed growth.Two mechanisms drive this effect:increased use of domestic intermediates and gains in firm productivity.The benefits are especially large for firms with lower human capital and for those in accessible,innovation-peripheral regions,helping narrow productivity gaps across firms and space.Affected firms also exhibit broader export scopes,higher product quality,more diversified destinations,and greater markups-firm-level evidence of GVC upgrading.These findings highlight how external technological linkages drive upgrading and underscore the importance of fostering inter-regional synergies for balanced development.

摘要As a vital complement to vertical fiscal transfers from the central government,the paired assistance mechanism,which features horizontal transfer payments,plays a pivotal role in fostering coordinated regional development(CRD)in China.Distinct from the governance logic of vertical transfers,paired assistance instead utilizes a“project-based”operational framework to rectify the strategic behaviors of local governments with respect to taxation and expenditures.By strengthening economic incentives and optimizing fiscal efficiency,and by tightening institutional constraints on the provision of basic public services paired assistance significantly advances regional convergence.Empirical analysis based on China’s East-West Paired Assistance policy(2000-2015)shows that such interventions not only narrow regional development disparities but also mitigate the incentive distortions typically associated with vertical transfers.Mechanism analysis further indicates that paired assistance achieves“incentive-compatible aid”by bolstering the fiscal effort of recipient regions,reducing the prevalence of zombie firms,and increasing investment in basic public services.This study provides theoretical and empirical foundations for China’s forthcoming round of fiscal and taxation reforms and offers insights into optimizing transfer structures and refining China’s intergovernmental fiscal system.

摘要In the context of the revolution in new technologies,a key question is whether the rapid growth of the digital economy,driven by digital technologies,has improved regional innovation performance.Using inter-provincial panel data from China(2012–2022)and adopting a business environment perspective,this study applies a Panel Extended Regression Model(PERM),a Panel Simultaneous Equation Model(PSEM),and a Tobit-IV model to analyze how the development of the digital economy influences regional innovation.The results reveal a pronounced U-shaped relationship between the digital economy and the regional innovation performance at the provincial level in China,with the business environment serving as a significant mediator in this relationship.Moreover,regional innovation performance in China exhibits a“ratchet effect,”with the impact of the digital economy varying markedly across regions.While the eastern and western regions have entered an upward phase,whereby the digital economy boosts innovation,the central region displays a weaker effect.Further analysis indicates that the synergy between the business environment and the digital economy in driving innovation remains suboptimal.These findings were supported by robust checks.This study offers theoretical insights and empirical evidence that support the coordinated development of digital government and the digital factor market,as well as business environment reforms that are in alignment with the innovation demands of the digital era.
摘要Based on field investigations on the architectural heritage of plank houses among the Qiang,the Baima Zang,and the Anduo(Amdo)Zang ethnic groups in northwestern Sichuan,this paper summarizes the genealogical characteristics and geographic distribution of these dwellings.The study also examines the commonalities and particularities of plank houses across the different ethnic groups by integrating the region’s history of ethnic migration and cultural interaction with the distinctive environmental conditions.It further considers how the processes of inter-ethnic contact,exchange,and integration have affected this architectural tradition.The paper aims to deepen understanding of the diversity of northwestern Sichuan’s regional architectural heritage and to provide a theoretical basis for its conservation.

摘要Based on an index system established from the dimensions of ecology,life,and production,this study measures the governance efficiency of rural human settlements in the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)using the super-efficient slack-based measure model.The Gini coefficient,Markov chain,and Tobit regression model are employed to analyze the YREB’s regional disparities,dynamic trends,and influencing factors,providing a theoretical basis for promoting rural revitalization and regional coordination development.The results show that:(1)The overall governance efficiency exhibits a fluctuating uptrend,with a spatial pattern of“downstream>midstream>upstream”.(2)Moreover,regional differences of efficiency show a fluctuating downtrend,with inter-regional disparities as the primary sources.(3)The Markov chain indicates strong convergence in low-efficiency regions and low stability in high-efficiency regions.(4)Finally,governance efficiency can be significantly influenced by financial support,informatization,economic development,and education level.These results demonstrated the need for differentiated policies to narrow regional gaps and enhance synergistic,sustainable improvement in rural human settlements.

摘要In the new era,the Paired Assistance Policy(PAP)-national governance mechanism with Chinese characteristics,-plays a key role in fostering regional coordinated development.Using data from China’s A-share listed companies between 2013 and 2020,this study shows that PAP significantly encourages enterprise investment from supporting regions to paired cities,thereby contributing to addressing the“Lucas Paradox”of capital flow.This effect is more substantial among state-owned enterprises,in recipient regions with lower marketization levels,and in paired cities where industrial structures differ significantly.The policy works by exerting institutional pressure,lowering investment and operational costs in recipient regions,and improving firms’access to local information and complementary resources.Further analysis reveals that cross-regional investments under the PAP enhance the development quality of both recipient regions and the supporting enterprises themselves.Thus,these findings provide empirical evidence of PAP’s role in regional coordinated development and offer theoretical and policy insights for refining the PAP in the new era.

摘要The Hindu Kush Himalaya(HKH)hosts the largest concentration of glaciers,seasonal snow,and permafrost outside the polar regions.Ongoing climate change has accelerated glacier mass loss,reduced snow cover,degraded permafrost,and altered runoff seasonality.These changes have amplified multihazard risks such as glacial lake outburst floods,avalanches,and landslides,with cascading impacts on water,energy,food,ecosystems,and livelihoods.Yet,field monitoring remains sparse,fragmented,and uneven across the region with limited long-term records and minimal data sharing.This perspective presents a Regional Cryosphere Strategy(RCS)for the HKH that responds to these deficits by:(i)consolidating and institutionalising standardised monitoring of glaciers,snow,and permafrost;(ii)building sustained capacity through specialised regional capacity-building activities,fellowships,and shared instrumentation with priority given to a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion(GESI)framework;(iii)establishing a Regional HKH CryoHub to ensure Findable,Accessible,Interoperable,and Reusable(FAIR)and policy-relevant data and knowledge services;and(iv)prioritising operational decisionsupport services such as the HKH seasonal Snow Watch for water and energy planning,hazard monitoring and early warning systems,and basin-scale assessments that link cryosphere trends to risks for people and infrastructure.This strategy is designed to align HKH observations and services with global initiatives,ensuring that regional data streams inform global assessments while countries can access technical and financial support mechanisms.We argue that a basin-representative,quality-assured,and interoperable cryosphere observation and services system can strengthen regional resilience,reduce risks,and amplify the HKH voice in global climate dialogues.

摘要Purpose:Understanding formation mechanisms of regional collaborative innovation networks is crucial for effective innovation policy design,yet existing research lacks comprehensive empirical examination of how multiple mechanisms operate simultaneously across network evolution phases.Design/methodology/approach:This study conducts the first longitudinal multi-mechanism analysis by examining 57,846 collaborative patent applications among 3,582 organizations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(2009-2023).Using phase-segmented exponential random graph models across three developmental stages,we assess five key mechanisms:preferential attachment,triadic closure,brokerage potential,organizational homophily,and experience accumulation.Findings:Our findings reveal a paradoxical“elite-driven community closure”trajectory.Despite network expansion,declining density indicates heightened partner selectivity.Preferential attachment effects persist throughout all phases,sustaining elite hub dominance,while experience accumulation effects diminish over time.Strengthening triadic closure alongside persistently negative brokerage effects creates closure-dominated topologies limiting cross-boundary knowledge flows.Most critically,persistent organizational homophily constrains industry-university-research integration despite policy incentives,demonstrating that structural inertia resists policy intervention more than previously assumed.Research limitations:The analysis focuses on collaboration quantity rather than quality outcomes and applies specifically to patent-based collaboration networks.Practical implications:Three targeted policy adjustments are recommended:(1)reducing cross-type collaboration transaction costs through institutional innovation,(2)counteracting preferential attachment concentration via peripheral engagement strategies,and(3)creating reputation-sharing infrastructure to extend trust beyond homophily clusters.Originality/value:Our mechanism-based approach advances network evolution theory by revealing how microlevel collaboration decisions aggregate into macro-level structural patterns.

摘要To address the high costs and operational instability of distribution networks caused by the large-scale integration of distributed energy resources(DERs)(such as photovoltaic(PV)systems,wind turbines(WT),and energy storage(ES)devices),and the increased grid load fluctuations and safety risks due to uncoordinated electric vehicles(EVs)charging,this paper proposes a novel dual-scale hierarchical collaborative optimization strategy.This strategy decouples system-level economic dispatch from distributed EV agent control,effectively solving the resource coordination conflicts arising from the high computational complexity,poor scalability of existing centralized optimization,or the reliance on local information decision-making in fully decentralized frameworks.At the lower level,an EV charging and discharging model with a hybrid discrete-continuous action space is established,and optimized using an improved Parameterized Deep Q-Network(PDQN)algorithm,which directly handles mode selection and power regulation while embedding physical constraints to ensure safety.At the upper level,microgrid(MG)operators adopt a dynamic pricing strategy optimized through Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)to maximize economic benefits and achieve peak-valley shaving.Simulation results show that the proposed strategy outperforms traditional methods,reducing the total operating cost of the MG by 21.6%,decreasing the peak-to-valley load difference by 33.7%,reducing the number of voltage limit violations by 88.9%,and lowering the average electricity cost for EV users by 15.2%.This method brings a win-win result for operators and users,providing a reliable and efficient scheduling solution for distribution networks with high renewable energy penetration rates.
