This study demonstrates the feasibility of producing three polysaccharides(neutral LJP-1,acidic LJP-2 and acidic LJP-3)with significant in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory activities from the flowers of Lonicera japonica.The three polysaccharides differed in chemical composition,molecular weight(Mw)distribution,glycosidic linkage pattern,functional groups and morphology.They exhibited excellent protective effects(in a dose-dependent manner)in lipopolysaccharide-injured RAW264.7 macrophages and Cu SO4-damaged zebrafish via reducing NO production and inhibiting the overexpressions of inflammation-related transcription factors,inflammatory proteins and cytokines in the NF-κB/MAPK signaling pathways.Their antiinflammatory effects varied owing to their different molecular characteristics and chemical compositions.Overall,LJP-2 at 400μg/m L was the most effective.LJP-2 consisted mainly of→5)-α-L-Araf(1→,→4)-α-LGalp A(1→and→2)-α-L-Rhap(1→residues with terminal T-β-D-Glcp.Thus,honeysuckle flowers are good sources of anti-inflammatory polysaccharides,and precise fractionation enables the production of potent antiinflammatory agents for the development of functional foods and healthcare products. 展开更多

Cathelicidin Pc-CATH1 is a cathelicidin-derived myeloid antimicrobial peptide identified from Phasianus colchicus with strong antimicrobial activity against most of bacteria and fungi tested,including the clinically isolated(IS)drug-resistant strains.Considering the uniform distribution of net positive charge in both C-and N-terminus sequence of cathelicidin Pc-CATH1 and most of hydrophobic amino acid(aa)residues positioned in middle of the sequence,the antimicrobial peptide was used to investigate the structure-function relationship by truncating gradually N-or C-terminus amino acid residue.More than 10 modified peptide homo-logues(20-26 aa length)of cathelicidin Pc-CATH1 were found to keep strong antimicrobial abilities.The possible relationships between bioactivities including antimicrobial and hemolytic abilities,components of secondary structure,hydrophobicity,amphipathicity,net charge,and sequence length were investigated.The current work provided suggestions for structural and functional modification of linear,α-helical antimicrobial peptides containing no disulfided bridges. 展开更多

Innovation spillovers from multinational corporations to domestic firms are increasingly prominent in global value chain(GVC)evolution,yet prior work has largely focused on technology transfer,leaving the distinct nature of innovation spillovers underexplored.Existing GVC literature also remains divided between intra-product and inter-product perspectives,overlooking GVC heterogeneity.This study examines two governance structures:OEM relationships(processbased,intra-product)and buyer-supplier relationships(modular-based,interproduct),and investigates their divergent innovation spillover effects,along with the moderating role of inter-organizational relationship(IOR)characteristics.Using an unbalanced panel of 2,150 transaction observations from 597 dyads across nine advanced manufacturing industries(2012-2022),we integrate annual transaction volumes with patent citations and subsequent innovation outcomes.Empirically,we find that innovation spillovers are significantly stronger in OEM relationships than in buyer-supplier relationships,with a positive interaction between the two chains.Furthermore,multidimensional IOR traits substantially affect both spillover magnitudes and the variance across GVC types.This study advances GVC research by shifting the focus from technology transfer to innovation spillovers and bridging intra-product and inter-product specialization divides.It offers exploratory theoretical insights and provides strategic implications for Chinese firms regarding GVC embeddedness and innovation decisions. 展开更多

Mg-based films are promising candidates for hydrogen storage and switchable mirror applications,but their practical use is hindered by sluggish hydrogenation/dehydrogenation kinetics.The fluorocarbon(FC)/Pd/Mg film with an equiaxed Mg layer exhibits superior roomtemperature hydrogen-chromic properties,and annealing is a critical strategy to tailor its microstructural and functional performances.In this work,vacuum annealing experiments were systematically conducted on FC/Pd/Mg films at temperatures ranging from 50℃ to 250℃ for different durations.The correlation between annealing-induced microstructural evolution of the Mg layer,hydrogenation/optical properties,and the Hall-Petch relationship was established.The Hall-Petch-derived logic,emphasizing grain boundary regulation of mass transport,was employed to interpret the grain size dependent hydrogen diffusion behavior.Among all annealing conditions,the film annealed at 100℃ for 0.5 h achieves the optimal comprehensive performance,with a reflectance conversion range of 67%,a transmittance conversion range of 40%,a complete hydrogenation time of 60 s,and a dehydrogenation sensitivity factor of 7.1.This enhancement is attributed to the intermediate-temperature recovery of the Mg layer,which induces dislocation recombination and grain coarsening(average grain size of 6.7 nm).Guided by the Hall-Petch principle,this grain size balances the grain boundary density and hydrogen diffusion path length,forming a microstructure with moderate defect density and favorable grain boundary density for hydrogen diffusion.This work provides a fundamental understanding of the annealing-microstructure property relationship in FC/Pd/Mg films from the perspective of the Hall-Petch relationship and offers a feasible approach to optimize the functional performances of Mg-based films for hydrogen energy-related applications. 展开更多

Controlling key drivers is essential to align the supply and demand of ecosystem services(ES)for sustainable development.However,spatial heterogeneity and nonlinearity are often overlooked in studying ES mismatch.Hence,this paper evaluates the supply-demand balance of bundled ecosystem services in eastern China,revealing the spatial characteristics of the supply-demand relationship of ecosystem services.We used the InVEST model to assess ecosystem services,applied a Gaussian mixture model to identify distinct ES supply-demand bundles,and constructed a synergy network among bundles via weighted network analysis.We then employed redundancy analysis and generalized additive models to examine drivers.The main findings of this study are as follows:Ecosystem service demand increased by approximately 18.25%,showing a clear trend toward supply-demand mismatch.The results showed strong synergies among different supply-demand clusters,and the supply-demand relationships of the same ecosystem service were not entirely consistent across clusters.The NDVI emerged as the most influential factor affecting ES supply-demand relationships(exceeding 10%),but social factors had a greater average effect.This study emphasizes the importance of the spatial relationship and driving factors of the supply-demand states of services mismatch in formulating effective spatial strategies. 展开更多

Backgrounds:Adolescent psychological well-being has become a pressing global concern,with rising levels of emotional distress among youth.Although prior research highlights the positive influence of teacher-student relationships,the underlying mechanisms—particularly the roles of school belonging,moral disengagement,and growth mindset—remain insufficiently understood.This study investigates the associations between teacher-student relationship quality and adolescent psychological well-being,examining school belonging and moral disengagement as potential mediators,and growth mindset as a moderator of these relationships.Methods:A total of 785 adolescents were recruited from six schools across Shanghai and Liaoning Province,China.Participants completed validated measures of teacher-student relationships,psychological well-being,school belonging,moral disengagement,and growth mindset.Data was analyzed using path analysis and moderation analyses with SPSS 23.0 and Mplus 8.3.Results:Teacher-student relationship quality demonstrated a strong positive association with psychological well-being(β=0.613,p<0.001).This association was mediated through three distinct pathways.School belonging served as a significant mediator(indirect effect=0.103,16.803%of total effect),as did moral disengagement(indirect effect=0.134,21.860%of total effect).Additionally,a sequential indirect pathway was identified,capturing the structural associations among the variables such that teacher-student relationship quality was related to school belonging,school belonging was related to moral disengagement,and moral disengagement was related to psychological well-being(indirect effect=0.040,accounting for 6.525%of the total effect).However,growth mindset did not significantly moderate the relationship between the teacher-student relationship and psychological well-being(interaction b=0.075,p=0.096).Conclusions:Teacher-student relationships are strongly associated with adolescent psychological well-being,with this association mediated through both cognitive-moral and socio-emotional pathways.The sequential mediation pattern is consistent with a developmentally coherent process wherein relational support may establish belonging as a foundation for moral engagement.Although growth mindset did not function as a significant moderator in this study,it remains a positive predictor of psychological well-being.These findings underscore the importance of comprehensive interventions that address relational quality,school connectedness,and moral development to promote adolescent mental health. 展开更多

This study aimed to elucidate the impact of propylene oxide(PO)and 1,2-butylene oxide(BO)incorporation on the properties of AEO7 surfactant.A comparative investigation was conducted on the salt tolerance,alkali resistance,foaming,emulsification,wetting ability,cloud point,pour point,and detergency of the pristine and modified surfactants.The results demonstrated that the introduction of PO or BO groups generally compromised the alkali resistance of AEO7,with BO exerting a more detrimental effect.Modification also altered salt tolerance,and BO incorporation notably reduced water solubility and salt tolerance.Both PO and BO significantly accelerated defoaming kinetics,with BO-modified variants exhibiting superior performance.Emulsifyingability was markedly enhanced due to improved compatibility between the surfactant hydrophobic tail and the oil phase.Wetting performance was also improved,particularly in BO-modified samples.Furthermore,the incorporation of PO/BO led to a distinct reduction in both cloud point and pour point,which showed a clear correlation with the type and extent of hydrophobic modification.Regarding detergency,PO modification improved the removal of sebum soil,whereas BO incorporation reduced the cleaning efficiency for both carbon black and sebum soils.This work provides fundamental experimental evidence and theoretical insights for the targeted molecular design and performance optimization of alkoxylated surfactants. 展开更多

The man-land relationship and its dynamics were core themes in modern geography.Complex interactions exist between the natural environment and human activities.However,current research focused on the impacts of human activities on ecosystems,ignoring the linear or non-linear characteristics and interaction thresholds.In this study,multi-source data and self-organizing feature map(SOFM)were used to classify man-land relationship areal types in southern Shaanxi,China from 2000 to 2020.The constrain lines method was employed to identify the interaction thresholds between human activities intensity(HAI)and various natural indicators.Results showed that:1)higher and high natural environment index(NEI)accounted for more than 75%of the southern Shaanxi.2)Low and lower HAI covered over 85%of the total area,with significant decreases and significant increases in HAI occurring in 45.61%and 24.53%of the study area,respectively.3)The agricultural type decreased in southern Shaanxi,while the urban and comprehensive type increased.4)There was a negative convex relationship between HAI and NEI.Thresholds for the effect of HAI on habitat quality were 0.67,0.37,and 0.64 in the Qinling Mountains,Hanjiang Basin and Daba Mountains,respectively.This study emphasizes that one or more thresholds should be considered for ecological restoration and human management in different regions,and provides a new perspective for understanding the complex man-land relationship in underdeveloped mountainous regions and offered strong support for coordinating ecological protection with socio-economic development. 展开更多

To promote the harmonious coexistence of cities and lakes and to achieve Sustainable Development Goals in the Taihu Lake Basin,we developed an analytical framework for city-lake symbiosis(CLS)on the basis of symbiosis theory.Using the Lotka-Volterra(L-V)model and a coordination degree model,we assessed the state and evolution of the CLS relationship.The findings reveal that urban development levels increased steadily from 27.36 in 1980 to 78.90 in 2020,whereas the ecological conditions of Taihu Lake initially decreased,followed by slow and fluctuating recovery.Overall,cities and Taihu Lake exhibited a“mutualism”relationship,withαandβvalues of-1.89 and-1.77,respectively,and a general upward trend in the degree of coordination over the study period.However,during the periods 1980-1998 and 2012-2016,the relationship displayed a pattern of“mutual damage”.The adverse effects of urban development accumulated gradually,in contrast to the rapid and abrupt deterioration observed in the lake.Ecological recovery in Taihu Lake progressed slowly and unevenly,stabilizing only after 2016 into a phase of sustained improvement.We recommend enhanced and coordinated efforts in ecological restoration and environmental governance to support this positive trajectory. 展开更多

Geohazard knowledge is a vital component of geological knowledge bases,playing a crucial role in disaster prevention and risk assessment.However,existing information extraction methods struggle with long-distance dependencies in geohazard texts,leading to poor performance in extracting relevant entities and their semantic relationships.To address this,we propose a pipeline approach based on deep learning models for enhanced geohazard information extraction.First,the BERT-BiLSTM-CRF model is applied to extract five types of entities in the geohazard domain,achieving an average F1-score of 90.22%.This demonstrates the model’s ability to effectively capture the semantic meaning of entities in geohazard texts.Next,to tackle the issue of long-distance semantic dependencies,a self-attention mechanism is introduced in the relation extraction task,combined with the BERT-BiLSTM-CRF model.The F1-score for relation extraction reaches an average of 82.7%,significantly improving the model's stability in recognizing relationships in long texts.Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms traditional approaches in both entity and relation extraction,thus improving the accuracy of geohazard knowledge extraction.These findings promote the intelligent application of geohazard information and further enrich and refine geological knowledge bases. 展开更多

Ecosystem services(ESs)are crucial for human survival and development,and changes in ESs are closely linked to both the natural environment and human activity.As counties have become the fundamental unit of China’s new urbanization,investigating the dynamic processes of ESs,the driving mechanisms,and their coupling with urbanization at the county scale holds significant theoretical and practical value.However,further research is still needed to analyze the persistent impact of county-scale urbanization on the ecological environment and the coupling relationship between them.This study measured the spatio-temporal characteristics of ESs and urbanization level(UL)in the Yellow River Basin(YRB)from 2000–2020 at county scale,utilizing multi-period land use,meteorological,and statistical data.Subsequently,the research investigated the effects of anthropogenic and natural factors on comprehensive ecosystem services(CES),as well as the coupling relationship between the UL and CESs.The results revealed fluctuating ES levels across different periods,characterized by a general upward trend.Geographically,lower levels were observed in the eastern plain and western desert areas,while higher levels were observed in the central transition area.From 2000–2020,the impervious surface area,population,and gross domestic product(GDP)of the YRB increased consistently.The UL decreased gradually from the southeast to the northwest,with high levels concentrated in city centers.Among anthropogenic factors,population agglomeration and land development significantly influenced CES,with their impact intensifying over time.Slope and elevation were identified as the primary natural factors affecting CES.During the study period,the overall coupling coordination degree of the UL and CES in each county increased,albeit with notable spatial disparities.Regarding synchronization types,the number of downstream counties experiencing ecological losses increased.This study provides insights for managing the relationship between urbanization and ecosystems and offers a framework to migrate the conflict between regional socioeconomic development and the natural environment in the YRB. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Patients with ovarian cancer often experience significant psychological stress during chemotherapy,including emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression.AIM To analyze the application value of positive emotion,engagement,relationships,meaning,and accomplishment(PERMA)well-being care combined with role model motivation in patients with ovarian cancer undergoing chemotherapy for anxiety and depression,with a focus on psychological health and compliance behavior.METHODS Seventy patients with ovarian cancer undergoing chemotherapy were recruited from a hospital between August 2022 and August 2024.They were randomly divided into two groups using a lottery method:The reference group(n=35,receiving routine care)and the experimental group(n=35,receiving PERMA wellbeing care combined with role model motivation in addition to routine care).Both groups received their respective interventions before and after chemo-therapy.Psychological state,mood state,compliance behavior,and cancer-related fatigue levels were assessed before and after the intervention.Data were analyzed using the SPSS software(version 26.0).RESULTS After the intervention,patients’psychological state improved,with the experimental group showing greater benefits than the control group.Specifically,the intervention group achieved an 8.8%reduction in anxiety,a 19.8%reduction in depressive symptoms,and a 7.8%increase in self-efficacy relative to controls(P<0.05).Mood state also improved more markedly in the experimental group,with significant reductions across tension-anxiety,depression-dejection,anger-hostility,fatigue-inertia,and confusion-bewilderment,alongside an increase in vigoractivity(P<0.05).The compliance rate was higher in the experimental group than in the control group(91.43%vs 71.43%,P<0.05).Cancer-related fatigue decreased in both groups,with the experimental group exhibiting greater reductions across emotional,cognitive,behavioral,and physical dimensions(P<0.05).CONCLUSION PERMA well-being care combined with role model motivation is effective in reducing anxiety and depression symptoms,improving mood states,enhancing compliance behavior,and alleviating cancer-related fatigue in patients with ovarian cancer undergoing chemotherapy for anxiety and depression.Therefore,this approach warrants broader clinical application. 展开更多

The study of relationship emotions,a set of emotional and psychological responses that arise in a relationship,can help develop more humanized artificial intelligence,improve human–computer interaction,and even create more immersive experiences in virtual and augmented reality.Due to the nonlinear and feedback-driven nature of relational affect,which aligns closely with chaos theory,and the ability of leaky integrate-and-fire(LIF)neuron models to simulate dopaminerelated electrical activity in brain nuclei,this study innovatively integrates both approaches.By linking the membrane potential signals of LIF neurons to relational affect equations,it achieves a refined modeling of the mechanisms underlying relational affect generation.This paper adds the LIF neuron model to the relationship emotion model to construct a new LIF relationship emotion model(LRM).The effect of the parameters in the LRM on the relationship emotions generated by the model is investigated using numerical analysis.This includes the firing behavior produced by LIF neurons and a study of relationship emotions produced by different initial relationship emotion states under the same conditions.Finally,the feasibility of LRM is verified using a digital signal processing(DSP)platform.This process not only verifies the feasibility of LRM but also provides new ideas and methods for future research in affective computing and human–computer interaction. 展开更多

The biological activities of polysaccharides are affected by a variety of factors such as monosaccharide composition,molecular weight,glycosidic bond type,branching degree,molecular conformation and functional groups,and are closely related to structural features.In order to clarify the structure of polysaccharides as much as possible,it is necessary to characterize and simulate the structure of polysaccharides based on primary structure characterization,and further describe or visualize the three-dimensional structure of polysaccharides.A large number of studies have shown that polysaccharides from different sources and structures participate in or directly exert their activities in the fields of anti-tumor,anti-oxidation,and immune regulation related to immunology anticoagulation,hypoglycemia,lipid-lowering,anti-fatigue,and other activities.The structural modification/modification of polysaccharides provides the possibility to improve the activity,efficiency,or functional specificity of polysaccharides.Due to the diversity and complexity of the structure of polysaccharides,the structural prediction is not complete and of high accuracy,and the functional prediction is limited by the diversity of binding receptors,so the downstream pathways involved cannot be accurately located.Therefore,it is necessary to consider the comprehensive results from multiple perspectives in the study of the mechanism of exerting biological activity.Structural detection and analysis of polysaccharides are inextricably linked to the development of polysaccharide biological activities,which can be easily predicted through structural analysis and summarization of structural patterns. 展开更多

The stock-recruitment relationship(SRR)is a key concept in fish population dynamics.However,it can be easily affected by various uncertainties.In particular,it may exhibit non-stationarity under pressure from global climate change.These factors might negatively impact the effectiveness of fisheries management,especially for data-poor fish stocks.In this research,the whitespotted conger(Conger myriaster),a commercial marine eel with complex life history and recruitment processes,was studied to test the hypothesis.The Beverton-Holt model was employed to simulate its recruitment dynamic and evaluate the impacts of variability and non-stationarity in SRR on the robustness of a selected set of data-limited management procedures(MPs).Specifically,we studied the effects of stochastic variability and autocorrelation of SRR,as well as the uncertain parameter steepness.Among them,the non-stationarity was reflected by simulating a series of time-varying steepness scenarios.The results demonstrate that although most MPs are impaired by the increasing recruitment variability and autocorrelation,they still retain the ability to recover the resource.Currently,while the observation errors of steepness have a minor impact on our performance metrics,sensitivity analyses reveal the risks in actual management associated with the potential uncertainties in steepness.Regarding the time-varying steepness scenarios,most MPs demonstrate satisfied robustness,although their performance in achieving both conservation and harvest objectives has declined.We highlight that accurate identification of uncertainties in conger recruitment is crucial for scientific management.Although some data-limited MPs perform well,it’s necessary to make improvements to them and develop robust management strategies for realizing the sustainable exploitation of conger. 展开更多

Glutaminyl cyclase(QC),a key enzyme catalyzing the pyroglutamate modification of bioactive peptides,has emerged as a promising pharmacological target in cancer and other human diseases.Inhibition of QC activity represents a potential therapeutic strategy for diseases associated with QC dysregulation,suggesting that QC inhibitors might be as promising therapeutic approach for these diseases.Building upon our previous lead compound 1(half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50):Golgi resident QC(gQC),3.22µmol/L;secretory QC(sQC),4.04µmol/L),we performed systematic structural optimization to develop novel 3,4-disubstituted indole-2-ketone derivatives.Structure-activity relationship(SAR)studies identified highly active gQC and sQC inhibitors(compounds 24,28,and 29)with significantly enhanced QC inhibitory activity.Among them,28 exhibited superior inhibitory activity against gQC(IC50=0.095µmol/L)compared to sQC(IC50=1.33µmol/L),and could most significantly improve the thermal stability of gQC protein.Using compound 17 with similar structure but 130 times lower gQC inhibitory activity than 28 as a negative control,the in vitro anti-tumor activity study found that 28 can bind to gQC in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells and significantly inhibit the growth and migration,by affecting cell proliferation and inducing G0/G1 phase cell cycle arrest.In nude mice bearing MDA-MB-231 cell xenograft,intratumor injection of 28(25 mg/kg)produced 40.6%inhibition rates.This work not only provides structural basis and new leads for drug discovery targeting QC,but also presents compelling evidence supporting QC,especially gQC as a potential target for breast cancer therapy. 展开更多

Off-axis integrated cavity output spectroscopy(OA-ICOS)is an extremely sensitive technique for measuring trace gas concentrations.Nevertheless,recent research has indicated that when the reflectivity of the mirrors forming the cavity is excessively high,it affects the linearity between the absorption signal and concentration.In this study,the causes and limitations of this phenomenon are discussed based on the Beer-Lambert law and the law of light propagation within the cavity.A new equation is derived to describe the nonlinear relationship between the integral area of absorption spectra and gas concentration.The absorption spectra of CO2and CH4,measured under different experimental conditions and concentrations,were fitted with Voigt functions to obtain parameters such as peak values and integral areas,which were used to verify the theoretical derivation process and results.The experimental results demonstrate that the relationship between the area of the measured absorption spectra and the gas concentration is consistent with the new formula,with an average fitting correlation coefficient of 0.9998.Meanwhile,the experimental results also demonstrate that the effective optical path length indeed decreases with increasing concentration.Furthermore,the cavity reflectances(99.99644%at 6242.6 cm-1and 99.99833%at 6046.96 cm-1)derived from the fitting coefficient of the new concentration expression closely match the reflectances(99.99727%at 6242.6 cm-1and 99.99868%at 6046.96 cm-1)obtained by applying the classical formula to the spectra of the lowest gas concentration.These experimental results validate the theoretical deduction process and expression.This research provides insights for the theoretical and practical advancements of OA-ICOS,which is significant for advancing high-precision trace gas detection technology. 展开更多

Hot compression experiments were conducted on GH738 superalloy using Gleeble 3500 thermal simulation machine at deformation temperature of 9801100°C and strain rate of 0.0010.1 s-1 to study the flow stress behavior of the alloy.Three machine learning algorithms,namely random forest(RF),support vector machine(SVM),and genetic algorithm-back propagation(GA-BP)neural networks,were employed to establish constitutive relationship models for the flow stress behavior of GH738 superalloy.Subsequently,these models were compared and analyzed in terms of their predictive accuracy.The results indicate that the flow stress of GH738 superalloy decreases with the increase in deformation temperature and the decrease in strain rate.The correlation coefficients for the RF,SVM,and GA-BP constitutive relationship models are determined as 0.921,0.998,and 0.999,while the average absolute relative errors as 14.587%,2.112%,and 0.901%,respectively.The results demonstrate that SVM and GA-BP constitutive relationship models have better prediction accuracy than RF model in predicting the flow stress behavior of GH738 superalloy.It can provide a theoretical basis for the calculation of deformation resistance and forging tonnage under different deformation conditions,and it can also provide reliable flow stress data for numerical simulation of forging process. 展开更多
