This paper thoroughly investigates adaptive stabilisation for a specific class of second-order strict-feedback nonlinear systems.Drawing inspiration from the fully actuated system(FAS)approach,an adaptive control scheme incorporating FAS with tuning functions is proposed.Notably,this approach directly addresses second-order systems without the need for reducing them to first-order systems,streamlining the intricate procedures involved.To handle uncertain parameters within the system,a combined scheme of adaptive estimation and tuning functions is employed.Rigorous analysis using Lyapunov stability theory demonstrates that the designed controller ensures the system's asymptotic convergence to the equilibrium point,with all other signals in the closed-loop system bounded.Finally,two simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy:numerical simulations compared with sliding mode control and backstepping control,and practical application on the single-link robotic arm with a comparative analysis against backstepping control. 展开更多

This paper discusses the adaptive fault-tolerant finite-time control tracking problem for a class of strict-feedback nonlinear systems with multiple faults and disturbances.Our essay focuses on the problem of over-parameterisation in traditional backstepping methods.A new fault-tolerant control schemeis proposed by combining tuning function with fuzzy controltechnology and finite-time control.This scheme greatly simplifies the process of derivation and computa-tion and avoids high computational cost and high memory consumption.Thus the purpose of improving the reliability and robustness of the system is achieved.Finally,according to the Lya-punov finite-time stability theory,the proposed method can ensure that the closed-loop system remains semi-globally practically finite-time stable and the tracking errors converge to a small neighbourhood near the origin in finite time under the cor idition of unmatched disturbances ma and sensor/actuator faults simultaneously.The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by a simulation example. 展开更多

In the field of digital image processing,denoising is one of the basic problems.The challenges faced in image denoising are detecting impulse noise and designing a suitable filter.In this paper,we propose a methodology to remove the random impulse noise on the color image using a novel switching median filter.By using this novel technique,the occurrence of color artifacts has been avoided after noise removal which depends on auto-tuning threshold detection and a vector-type median filter noise remover.In the proposed technique,the random valued impulse noises with uniform distribution have been dealt with switching median filter.L2Norm is employed to calculate the distribution distance rather than L1 Norm which is used to identify the optimal threshold value for auto-tuning filter.The switching auto-tuning detector automatically tunes the noisy pixels based on distance information of pixels distribution.The Normalized Mean Square Error(NMSE)is found to decrease for L2Norm when compared with L1 Norm.The Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR)value and True Positive Rate(TPR)value improved with L2Norm signifying effective noise removal.The efficiency of the present method is verified by conducting experiments on digital images. 展开更多

The modulation of electrical properties of MoS_2 has attracted extensive research interest because of its potential applications in electronic and optoelectronic devices.Herein,interfacial charge transfer induced electronic property tuning of MoS_2 are investigated by in situ ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements.A downward band-bending of MoS_2-related electronic states along with the decreasing work function,which are induced by the electron transfer from Cs overlayers to MoS_2,is observed after the functionalization of MoS_2 with Cs,leading to n-type doping.Meanwhile,when MoS_2 is modified with 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane(F_4-TCNQ),an upward band-bending of MoS_2-related electronic states along with the increasing work function is observed at the interfaces.This is attributed to the electron depletion within MoS_2 due to the strong electron withdrawing property of F_4-TCNQ,indicating p-type doping of MoS_2.Our findings reveal that surface transfer doping is an effective approach for electronic property tuning of MoS_2 and paves the way to optimize its performance in electronic and optoelectronic devices. 展开更多

The growing global energy demand and worsening climate change highlight the urgent need for clean,efficient and sustainable energy solutions.Among emerging technologies,atomically thin two-dimensional(2D)materials offer unique advantages in photovoltaics due to their tunable optoelectronic properties,high surface area and efficient charge transport capabilities.This review explores recent progress in photovoltaics incorporating 2D materials,focusing on their application as hole and electron transport layers to optimize bandgap alignment,enhance carrier mobility and improve chemical stability.A comprehensive analysis is presented on perovskite solar cells utilizing 2D materials,with a particular focus on strategies to enhance crystallization,passivate defects and improve overall cell efficiency.Additionally,the application of 2D materials in organic solar cells is examined,particularly for reducing recombination losses and enhancing charge extraction through work function modification.Their impact on dye-sensitized solar cells,including catalytic activity and counter electrode performance,is also explored.Finally,the review outlines key challenges,material limitations and performance metrics,offering insight into the future development of nextgeneration photovoltaic devices encouraged by 2D materials. 展开更多

An adaptive integral dynamic surface control approach based on fully tuned radial basis function neural network (FTRBFNN) is presented for a general class of strict-feedback nonlinear systems,which may possess a wide class of uncertainties that are not linearly parameterized and do not have any prior knowledge of the bounding functions.FTRBFNN is employed to approximate the uncertainty online,and a systematic framework for adaptive controller design is given by dynamic surface control. The control algorithm has two outstanding features,namely,the neural network regulates the weights,width and center of Gaussian function simultaneously,which ensures the control system has perfect ability of restraining different unknown uncertainties and the integral term of tracking error introduced in the control law can eliminate the static error of the closed loop system effectively. As a result,high control precision can be achieved.All signals in the closed loop system can be guaranteed bounded by Lyapunov approach.Finally,simulation results demonstrate the validity of the control approach. 展开更多

The design of molecular configurations for high-efficiency nonlinear optical(NLO)materials has attracted considerable interest in recent years.In this work,quantum chemical methods are employed to investigate the second-order NLO properties of a series of mono-and disubstituted naphthalene derivatives in both the gas phase and a solid polarizable environment.The results demonstrate that the substitution position strongly influences the charge-transfer architecture and,consequently,the total first hyperpolarizability(βtot)of the studied systems.In the gas phase,the calculatedβtot values for the 1,5-and 2,6-naphthylene-substituted derivatives(N1,5-TPA-TRZ and N2,6-TPA-TRZ),which exhibit through-bond charge transfer(TBCT)character,are markedly higher than that of the 1,8-naphthylene-substituted analogue(N1,8-TPA-TRZ)with throughspace charge transfer(TSCT)character.The extendedπ-conjugation in the TBCT systems leads to a pronounced red-shift in the absorption spectra and lower electronic transition energies,contributing to their enhanced second-order NLO responses.Furthermore,solid-state polarization effects were examined using a combined approach of range-separated hybrid(RSH)functionals and a polarizable continuum model(PCM).This analysis reveals a substantial increase in βtot for N2,6-TPA-TRZ,from 5.73×10-49 C3·m3·J-2 in the gas phase to 1.59×10-48 C3·m3·J-2 under solid-like conditions.These findings highlight that introducing donor and acceptor groups at the 2,6-positions of naphthalene derivatives offers a promising strategy for developing high-performance NLO materials. 展开更多

This paper presents an integrated guidance and control model for a flexible hypersonic vehicle with terminal angular constraints.The integrated guidance and control model is bounded and the dead-zone input nonlinearity is considered in the system dynamics.The line of sight angle,line of sight angle rate,attack angle and pitch rate are involved in the integrated guidance and control system.The controller is designed with a backstepping method,in which a first order filter is employed to avoid the differential explosion.The full tuned radial basis function(RBF)neural network(NN)is used to approximate the system dynamics with robust item coping with the reconstruction errors,the exactitude model requirement is reduced in the controller design.In the last step of backstepping method design,the adaptive control with Nussbaum function is used for the unknown dynamics with a time-varying control gain function.The uniform ultimate boundedness stability of the control system is proved.The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the controller design. 展开更多

We propose a nonparametric change point estimator in the distributions of a sequence of independent observations in terms of the test statistics given by Huˇskov′a and Meintanis(2006) that are based on weighted empirical characteristic functions. The weight function ω(t; a) under consideration includes the two weight functions from Huˇskov′a and Meintanis(2006) plus the weight function used by Matteson and James(2014),where a is a tuning parameter. Under the local alternative hypothesis, we establish the consistency, convergence rate, and asymptotic distribution of this change point estimator which is the maxima of a two-side Brownian motion with a drift. Since the performance of the change point estimator depends on a in use, we thus propose an algorithm for choosing an appropriate value of a, denoted by a_s which is also justified. Our simulation study shows that the change point estimate obtained by using a_s has a satisfactory performance. We also apply our method to a real dataset. 展开更多
