Hence, the energy efficiency of the infrastructure greatly affects the network lifetime. Clustering is one of the methods that can expand the lifespan of the whole network by grouping the sensor nodes according to some criteria and choosing the appropriate cluster heads(CHs). The balanced load of the CHs has an important effect on the energy consumption balancing and lifespan of the whole network. Therefore, a new CHs election method is proposed using an adaptive discrete particle swarm optimization (ADPSO) algorithm with a fitness value function considering the load balancing and energy consumption. Simulation results not only demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can have better performance in load balancing than low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH), hybrid energy-efficient distributed clustering (HEED), and dynamic clustering algorithm with balanced load (DCBL), but also imply that the proposed algorithm can extend the network lifetime more.展开更多

The research objective is to achieve joint-position consensus of multiple robotic agents interconnected on directed graphs containing a spanning tree. A novel characteristic model-based distributed adaptive control scenario is proposed with a state-relied projection estimation law and a characteristic model-based distributed controller. The performance analysis is also unfolded where the uniform ultimate boundedness(UUB) of consensus errors is derived by resorting to the discrete-time-domain stability analysis tool and the graph theory. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical strategy.展开更多

In this paper, we consider the problem of the delay-aware downlink beamforming with discrete rate adaptation to minimize the power consumption of C-RANs. We address the problem via a mixed integer nonlinear program (MINLP), and then reformulate the MINLP problem as a mixed integer second-order cone program (MI-SOCP), which is a convex program when the integer variables are relaxed as continuous ones. Based on this formulation, a deflation algorithm, whose computational complexity is polynomial, is proposed to derive the suboptimal solution. The simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.展开更多
