The least mean square error difference (LMS-ED) minimum criterion for an adaptive chaotic noise canceller is proposed in this paper. Different from traditional least mean square error minimum criterion in which the error is uncorrelated with the input vector, the proposed LMS-ED minimum criterion tries to minimize the correlation between the error difference and input vector difference. The novel adaptive LMS-ED algorithm is then derived to update the weights of adaptive noise canceller. A comparison between cancelling performances of adaptive least mean square (LMS), normalized LMS (NLMS) and proposed LMS-ED algorithms is simulated by using three kinds of chaotic noises. The simulation results clearly show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the LMS and NLMS algorithms in achieving small values of steady-state excess mean square error. Moreover, the computational complexity of the proposed LMS-ED algorithm is the same as that of the standard LMS algorithms. 展开更多

With the development of wireless communication technology,an urgent problem to be solved is co-site broadband interference on independent communication platforms such as satellites,space stations,aircrafts and ships.Also,the problem of strong selfinterference rejection should be solved in the co-time co-frequency full duplex mode which realizes spectrum multiplication in 5G communication technology.In the research of such interference rejection,interference cancellation technology has been applied.In order to reject multipath interference,multitap double LMS(Least Mean Square)loop interference cancellation system is often used for cancelling RF(Radio Frequency)domain interference cancelling.However,more taps will lead to a more complex structure of the cancellation system.A novel tap single LMS loop adaptive interference cancellation system was proposed to improve the system compactness and reduce the cost.In addition,a mathematical model was built for the proposed cancellation system,the correlation function of CP2FSK(Continuous Phase Binary Frequency Shift Keying)signal was derived,and the quantitative relationship was established between the correlation function and the interference signal bandwidth and tap delay differential.The steadystate weights and the expression of the average interference cancellation ratio(ICR)were deduced in the scenes of LOS(Line of Sight)interference with antenna swaying on an independent communication platform and indoor multipath interference.The quantitative relationship was deeply analyzed between the interference cancellation performance and the parameters such as antenna swing,LMS loop gain,and interference signal bandwidth,which was verified by simulation experiment.And the performance of the proposed interference cancellation system was compared with that of the traditional double LMS loop cancellation system.The results showed that the compact single LMS loop cancellation system can achieve an average interference rejection capability comparable to the double LMS loop cancellation system. 展开更多

The effect of system mismatches on an adaptive linear constrained generalized sidelobe canceller(LC-GSC)is discussed in this paper.Based on the array gain index,two classic system mismatches,the direction of arrival(DOA)mismatch and the mismatches arising from array disturbance,are studied,respectively.To obtain the effective methods for compensating for the system mismatches,we analyze the performance of the improved LC-GSC with the diagonal loading and additional constraints(such as the directional constraints and derivative constraints).The computer simulations show that the techniques of diagonal loading and additional constraints can effectively compensate for the system mismatches.The loss of array gains can be controlled within 3 dB in the presence of 20%of array disturbances or DOA mismatch when the signal-to-noise ratio is less than 10 dB.The analysis illustrates that the proposed compensation methods are valid and feasible. 展开更多

This paper presents a new approach for attenuating coherent noise in 3D seismic data. An adaptive beamforming with generalized sidelobe canceller (GSC) design methodology is utilized here as a general form of linearly constrained adaptive beamforming structure. It consists of a fixed beamformer, and a signal-blocking matrix in front of an unconstrained adaptive beamformer.Considerationf of the complexity of the geometry for 3D seismic survey, the 3D beamforming with GSC technique is developed with two key points: (1) sorting along azimuth sections to simplify the relationship between traveltime and offset from 3D to 2D, and (2) dynamic binning scheme to avoid the possible poor folding in some azimuth sections. Both simulation result and real data example show that the newly developed 3D beamforming with GSC yields more credible results at a relative low cost, sufficient stability and good resolution. 展开更多

The length of the echo path in the IP telephony system is very long. Generally, the echo canceller is implemented on the IP telephony gateway which needs to perform concurrently multi-channel echo cancellation and voice compression. Hence, the most key technique to design the echo canceller is to reduce greatly the computational requirement. For this reason a number of innovative features to implement a fast echo canceller are presented. The key components of this canceller include: the separation of adaptive and cancel filters, non-real-time adaptation and real-time cancellation, sharing VAD algorithms with the speech codec, the incorporation of delay indexing with zero coefficients, and windowing the adaptive filter coefficients to reduce the cost of DSP during the cancellation. Finally, the performance of the echo canceller is summarized; the results of evaluation show that the performance gains for echo cancellation are significant. 展开更多

This paper proposes an adaptive howling canceller using notch filter and 2-tap linear predictor, where howling consists of a single sinusoidal signal whose magnitude is much greater than other frequency’s magnitudes. The employed 2-tap linear predictor can quickly detect howling due to its high convergence speed. Although the output signal of the 2-tap linear predictor cannot be directly used as one of a howling canceller, we can obtain the frequency of howling from the filter coefficient. We utilize the filter coefficient of the 2-tap linear predictor to design a notch filter which achieves a very narrow elimination band. The designed notch filter removes only howling and retains other desired signals. Simulation results show that the proposed adaptive howling canceller can quickly detect and effectively remove howling. 展开更多

In this study,we initiate an analysis of the clutter suppression mechanisms in Airborne Passive Radar Systems(APRS)using Space–Time Adaptive Processing(STAP).Additionally,based on the sparsity characteristics of airborne clutter and sparse filtering,we formulate a STAP model utilizing a sparse Generalized Sidelobe Canceller(GSC)filter structure.Subsequently,addressing limitations in conventional convex relaxation methods that directly substitute l1 norm for l0 norm,we introduce the pseudo-norm function grand apply it to the constructed STAP model in lieu of the l0 norm.Furthermore,recognizing the prevalence of'non-circular'signals in the context of APRS scenarios,we employ the Wide linear Recursive Least Squares(WRLS)algorithm for solving(gr-WRLS),demonstrating enhanced performance.Finally,the feasibility of the proposed approach is validated through simulated scenarios. 展开更多

Retaining local chemical effects:An error cancellation strategy for calculating standard gas-phase enthalpy of formation 认领 引用

Conventional error cancellation approaches separate molecules into smaller fragments and sum the errors of all fragments to counteract the overall computational error of the parent molecules.However,these approaches may be ineffective for systems with strong localized chemical effects,as fragmenting specific substructures into simpler chemical bonds can introduce additional errors instead of mitigating them.To address this issue,we propose the Substructure-Preserved Connection-Based Hierarchy(SCBH),a method that automatically identifies and freezes substructures with significant local chemical effects prior to molecular fragmentation.The SCBH is validated by the gas-phase enthalpy of formation calculation of CHNO molecules.Therein,based on the atomization scheme,the reference and test values are derived at the levels of Gaussian-4(G4)and M062X/6-31+G(2df,p),respectively.Compared to commonly used approaches,SCBH reduces the average computational error by half and requires only15%of the computational cost of G4 to achieve comparable accuracy.Since different types of local effect structures have differentiated influences on gas-phase enthalpy of formation,substituents with strong electronic effects should be retained preferentially.SCBH can be readily extended to diverse classes of organic compounds.Its workflow and source code allow flexible customization of molecular moieties,including azide,carboxyl,trinitromethyl,phenyl,and others.This strategy facilitates accurate,rapid,and automated computations and corrections,making it well-suited for high-throughput molecular screening and dataset construction for gas-phase enthalpy of formation. 展开更多

Aiming at the poor performance of the parity check(PC) aided adaptive successive cancellation list(PC-ASCL) decoding algorithm because the PC code in the polar code can only verify odd errors, an optimized parity check(OPC) code which can verify all odd errors as well as the half even errors is proposed. The OPC code is used to improve the PC-ASCL decoding algorithm, thus an OPC aided ASCL(OPC-ASCL) decoding algorithm is proposed. In the coding stage, the algorithm divides the information sequence into multiple segments, and places an OPC code at the end of each segment to verify the current information sequence, and places a cyclic redundancy check code at the end of the entire information sequence to verify the entire information sequence. In the decoding stage, the algorithm uses the OPC-ASCL decoder to decode. Simulation results show that compared to the PC-ASCL decoding algorithm, the OPC-ASCL decoding algorithm can reduce the complexity and obtain the certain performance gain. 展开更多

In this paper, a scheme for generating sinc-shaped optical Nyquist pulses based on external modulation is proposed. First, five flat optical frequency comb(OFC) lines are generated by a dual-parallel Mach–Zehnder modulator(DP-MZM) for optical carrier phase cancellation interference. Then, the phase-locked OFC is split into two paths, one of which is transmitted to a single-drive Mach–Zehnder modulator(SD-MZM) for the modulation of the even-order side-band suppression, and the other is used to remodulate the signal in order to obtain equally spaced comb lines. Eventually, equal frequency spaced phase-locked 15-line OFCs are generated and extremely narrow over-zero width Nyquist pulses are realized at 2.5 GHz, 5 GHz, 10 GHz and 20 GHz. The root-mean-square error(RMSE) is calculated for the generated Nyquist pulses which enables the verification of the signal quality. 展开更多

A robust generalized sidelobe canceller is proposed to combat direction of arrival(DOA)mismatches.To estimate the interference-plus-noise(IPN)statistics characteristics,conventional signal of interest(SOI)extraction methods usually collect a large number of segments where only the IPN signal is active.To avoid that collection procedure,we redesign the blocking matrix structure using an eigenanalysis method to reconstruct the IPN covariance matrix from the samples.Additionally,a modified eigenanalysis reconstruction method based on the rank-one matrix assumption is proposed to achieve a higher reconstruction accuracy.The blocking matrix is obtained by incorporating the effective reconstruction into the maximum signal-to-interferenceplus-noise ratio(MaxSINR)beamformer.It can minimize the influence of signal leakage and maximize the IPN power for further noise and interference suppression.Numerical results show that the two proposed methods achieve considerable improvements in terms of the output waveform SINR and correlation coefficients with the desired signal in the presence of a DOA mismatch and a limited number of snapshots.Compared to the first proposed method,the modified one can reduce the signal distortion even further. 展开更多

We design a high-gain optical amplification system based on optical injection locking(OIL)technology,which has an all-fiber structure and is ideally suited for fiber-based optical frequency transfer system.The paper investigates the relationship between amplification gain and frequency detuning under different injection linewidths,showing that smaller injection linewidths result in higher gains for the same frequency detuning.Preliminary experiments show that with a 5 Hz injection linewidth and sufficiently small frequency detuning,an amplification gain exceeding 60 dB can be achieved.In contrast to previous approaches,we introduce an out-of-loop optical path with an acousto-optic modulator to counteract the additional phase noise introduced by the asymmetric optical paths,achieving a higher-performance optical injection amplification system.After effective phase noise suppression,the noise floor of 1m coherent fiber link constructed based on the optical amplification system achieves a fractional frequency instability floor of 1.6×10-20at an integration time of 10000 s.Based on this high-performance system,a long-distance coherent transmission experiment over a 200 km spooled fiber link was demonstrated,which showed a fractional frequency instability of 3.4×10-15at 1 s,scaling down to 3.4×10-20at 10000 s in terms of modified Allan deviation(Mod-ADEV).This work presents a high-gain optical amplification method for transferring ultra-stable optical frequency standards,reducing the number of repeaters and amplifiers in optical frequency transfer,and simplifying the system complexity. 展开更多

Objectives:Day of surgery cancellations present several workflow challenges that result in delay of care for patients and revenue loss for physicians.This study aimed to further understand same-day pediatric urology surgical cancellations,and the authors assessed identifiable trends for quality improvement over a one-year time period.Methods:Same-day surgical cancellations were prospectively identified at a single tertiary care center,Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist,from 01 October 2022 to 30 September 2023.Reasons for cancellation were recorded per the parent/legal guardian and categorized as an avoidable or unavoidable cause.Demographic data,surgical rescheduling,and lost operating room time were also recorded.Descriptive and bivariate analyses were performed as indicated.Results:Of 2351 scheduled cases,51(2.2%)were cancelled the day of surgery.The most common cancellation type was a complete no-show with no reason provided from the family(39.2%).Of those with reported reasons,54.8%were cancelled for avoidable causes.Of those cancelled,66.7%were for patients of a minority race,with 11.8%of families indicating a need for translation services during visits.There was no difference in terms of race/ethnicity,distance lived from the hospital,or surgical type when comparing cancellation reason(p>0.05).Only 51.0%of cases were rescheduled with a median delay of 38 days.A total of 59.3 h of operating room time was lost due to these cancellations.Conclusions:Same-day cancellations were identified in 2.2%of planned pediatric urology cases over a oneyear period,with the majority of patients cancelled for avoidable reasons.Of cancelled cases,only 51.0%were rescheduled by the family,with a median delay of over one month.Additionally,2/3rd of patients identified as a minority race,with 11.8%requiring translation services.This represents a vulnerable population who may require additional counseling for optimal patient and provider outcomes. 展开更多

In this paper based on an adaptive noise canceller, is presented a parameter estAnating method, which shows ulce filtering function and good tracking ability with ullknown prior information of interference and motion model of the object. The presented estimator only needs that the interference lloise varies faster than the parameter to be estimated. The presented method as a beedng esthaator was used to process the data collected in a sea experiment and the results show exciting property. 展开更多

This paper studies the sensing base station(SBS)that has great potential to improve the safety of vehicles and pedestrians on roads.SBS can detect the targets on the road with communication signals using the integrated sensing and communication(ISAC)technique.Compared with vehicle-mounted radar,SBS has a better sensing field due to its higher deployment position,which can help solve the problem of sensing blind areas.In this paper,key technologies of SBS are studied,including the beamforming algorithm,beam scanning scheme,and interference cancellation algorithm.To transmit and receive ISAC signals simultaneously,a double-coupling antenna array is applied.The free detection beam and directional communication beam are proposed for joint communication and sensing to meet the requirements of beamwidth and pointing directions.The joint timespace-frequency domain division multiple access algorithm is proposed to cancel the interference of SBS,including multiuser interference and duplex interference between sensing and communication.Finally,the sensing and communication performance of SBS under the industrial scientific medical power limitation is analyzed and simulated.Simulation results show that the communication rate of SBS can reach over 100 Mbps and the range of sensing and communication can reach about 500 m. 展开更多
