The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is witnessing a surge in economic development,showcasing robust resilience in the co-agglomeration of producer services and manufacturing industries,along with the increasingly evident impact generated by such co-agglomeration.Based on the panel data collected from ten cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(excluding Zhaoqing)spanning from 2010 to 2020,we examined the formation mechanism for industrial co-agglomeration in the area from three dimensions:industrial correlation,spatial correlation,and policy guidance.Our analysis was based on a vertical correlation model and was validated using the seemingly unrelated regressions(SUR)method.The findings are as follows:(a)There currently exists no spatial correlation between the producer services and manufacturing sectors in the area,and the correlation between the two remains limited to the former providing specialized services to the latter.(b)Policy guidance has a positive impact on the location selection of industries within the area.By implementing a comprehensive range of favorable policies,local governments can provide effective and scientifically guided recommendations regarding the location of producer services and manufacturing sectors.Therefore,it is crucial to foster the collaboration between producer services and manufacturing sectors and further enhance the co-agglomeration between the two sectors.In addition,the government authorities should also strive to enhance its economic governance capacity,thereby facilitating the formation of such co-agglomeration. 展开更多

Study on Formation and Evolution Conditions of Co-Agglomeration between Manufacturing Industry and Logistics Industry Based on Endogenous Logistics Cost 认领 引用

The co-agglomeration between manufacturing industry and logistics industry is the main spatial manifestation of the coordinated linkage and integrated development of the two industries,and it is also a standard to test whether the linkage and integrated development of the two industries is effective.In the traditional new economic geography model,when the logistics cost is exogenous,the description of the formation conditions of the two industries'co-agglomeration is vague and difficult to quantify.The logistics sector is introduced into the agglomeration model as an independent sector,by establishing the linkage relationship between the average variable cost of logistics industry and the degree of agglomeration of manufacturing industry through industrial correlation,the endogenous treatment of logistics cost is realized;According to the degree of regional manufacturing agglomeration and the possible forms of two industry agglomeration,the average variable cost of logistics enterprises is solved,and the formation and evolution conditions of co-agglomeration of logistics industry and manufacturing industry under the condition of endogenous logistics cost are obtained.Through theoretical derivation and numerical simulation,it is found that the formation of co-agglomeration of manufacturing and logistics industry in a region is affected by two thresholds of logistics average variable costs,and the higher the degree of agglomeration of manufacturing industry in the region,the greater the interval width of two thresholds for complementary agglomeration and the smaller interval width of two thresholds for extruding agglomeration;when the logistics average variable costs is in the range between two thresholds,the degree of manufacturing and logistics industrial co-agglomeration is being U-shaped relationship with the manufacturing agglomeration,otherwise inverted U-shaped relationship.This study is helpful to grasp the general rules of the formation and evolution of the co-agglomeration of manufacturing and logistics industry.It provides theoretical support for promoting the deep integration of the two industries,ensuring the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain and high-quality economic development. 展开更多

The Coupling Relationship Between Industrial Linkage and Spatial Coagglomeration of Advanced Manufacturing and Producer Services in Metropolitan: A Case Study of Beijing, China 认领 引用 被引量:3

Promoting the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and producer services is not only a key path for metropolitan to climb the global value chain,but also an important new driving force for optimizing urban spatial structure.Based on the two dimen-sions of industrial linkage and spatial co-agglomeration from the perspective of industrial integration,taking Beijing,China as a case,using industrial input-output data,micro-enterprise spatial data,and methods such as industrial linkage model,standard deviation el-lipse,and spatial similarity coefficient,this study explores the coupling relationship between industrial linkage and spatial co-agglomer-ation of advanced manufacturing and producer services from 2007 to 2020.The results demonstrate that:1)the industrial linkage between advanced manufacturing and producer services in Beijing has an upward trend,in which the business services have the most significant improvement,in which the business services have the most improvement while the technology services have the most de-crease,but in general,the industrial linkage between the two industries shows a low level.2)Producer services were more spatially clustered than advanced manufacturing,and the degree of spatial co-agglomeration of the two also showed an increasing trend,with strong regional and industrial heterogeneity characteristics,among which the pairing industry involving commerce services and techno-logy services had a more obvious improvement.3)The coupling analysis found that the spatial dependence between advanced manufac-turing and producer services decreased,showing a weak positive correlation and a decreasing trend between industrial linkage and spa-tial co-agglomeration;the heterogeneity among subdivision pairs is prominent,and the strong correlation between industries does not mean that there is an inevitable spatial co-agglomeration.4)Based on the differences in coupling relationships and influence mechan-isms,four coupling modes are identified:H-H type,H-L type,L-L type,and L-H type.Finally,this study proposes three policy implica-tions for the integration of advanced manufacturing and producer services in metropolitan areas. 展开更多
