A theoretical analysis regarding active vibration control of rotating machines with current-controlled electrodynamic actuators between machine feet and steel frame foundation and with velocity feedback of the machine feet vibrations is presented.First,a generalized mathematical formulation is derived based on a state-space description which can be used for different kinds of models(1D,2D,and 3D models).It is shown that under special boundary conditions,the control parameters can be directly implemented into the stiffness and damping matrices of the system.Based on the generalized mathematical formulation,an example of a rotating machine—described by a 2D model—with journal bearings,flexible rotor,current-controlled electrodynamic actuators,steel frame foundation,and velocity feedback of the machine feet vibrations is presented where the effectiveness of the described active vibration control system is demonstrated. 展开更多

This paper presents a study of fractional order quadrature oscillators based on current-controlled current follower transconductance amplifiers (CCCFTA). The design realisation and performance of the fractional order quadrature oscillators have been presented. The quadrature oscillators are constructed using three fractional capacitors of orders α = 0.5. The fractional capacitor is not available on the market or in the PSPICE program. Fortunately, the fractional capacitor can be realised by using the approximate method for the RC ladder network approximation. The oscillation frequency and oscillation condition can be electronically/orthogonally controlled via input bias currents. Due to high-output impedances, the proposed circuit enables easy cascading in current-mode (CM). The PSPICE simulation results are depicted, and the given results agree well with the anticipated theoretical outcomes. 展开更多

The electric properties of nonintentionally doped n-cubic boron nitride(cBN)crystal are investigated.The cBN crystal was transformed from hexagonal-boron nitride(h-BN)under high pressure(HP)and high temperature(HT)using magnesium powder as catalyst.At room temperature,the current-voltage(I-V)characteristics of cBN crystal are measured and found to be nonlinear.When the electric field is in the range of(1―1.5)×105 V/cm,the avalanche breakdown occurs inside the whole cBN crystal.At this same time,the bright blue-violet with the wavelength of 380―400 nm from the cBN crystal is observed.When measuring the I-V curve after breakdown of cBN crystal,the current-controlled differential negative resistance phenomenon is observed.The breakdown is repeatable. 展开更多

This research,based on Mason's formula,proposes a novel design for a second-order transconductance-mode universal filter with the operational transconductance amplifier(OTA)as the core and the second-generation current-controlled conveyor(CCCⅡ)as the auxiliary.The circuit incorporates two OTAs,one CCCⅡ,two grounded capacitors,and one grounded resistor.The quality factor Q and natural frequency fo of the filter can be electronically tuned and are not sensitive to temperature.The input and output terminals of the cir-cuit exhibit no loading effect,and the sensitivity of the circuit is low.At last,alternating frequency analysis,parameter scanning analysis,and temperature scanning analysis have been carried out by using Multisim software,confirming the correctness and effectiveness of the designed circuit. 展开更多

By the aid of nullor-mirror models of the second-generation current-controlled conveyor(CCCII) and applying the nodal admittance matrix(NAM) expansion method, the family of current-mode Colpitts oscillators employing four CCCIIs and three grounded capacitors is synthesized. Thirty-two Colpitts oscillators using CCCIIs are obtained in all. By using canonical number of components, the circuits can be easily integrated and the oscillation criterion and the oscillation frequency can be independently and electronically tuned by tuning bias currents of the CCCIIs. The paper-and-pencil analysis and Pspice simulation results have been included to support the synthesis method. 展开更多

The cadmium ferrite and 5 % rare-earth ions(Sm^3+, Y^3+, and La^3+) added Cd ferrites were synthesized by oxalate co-precipitation method and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), and scanning electron microscope(SEM) techniques. All ferrite samples under investigation exhibit current-controlled negative resistance type I–E characteristics at room temperature. The required electrical-switching field in cadmium ferrite is higher than that for 5 % Sm^3+, Y^3+, and La^3+added cadmium ferrites. The5% addition of Sm^3+, Y^3+, and La^3+ in cadmium ferrite is found to decrease the grain size in this ferrite. This decrement in the grain size makes the required switching field to decrease in cadmium ferrite. No aging effect for electrical switching is observed in these ferrites. 展开更多
