The ash deposition increases capital expenditure, energy input and maintenance costs. An analog experiment for monitoring ash deposition was performed from the analogous objective of a 410 t/h boiler economizer to verify the rationality and reliability of the ash-deposition-monitoring model presented in order to increase the security and economy in economizer running. The analog experiment platform is a tube-shell exchanger that conforms well to the conditions of a self-modeling area. The analog flue gas in the shell side is the heated air mixed with ash, and in the tube side the fluid is water heated by the flue gas. The fluid state in the water side and the flue gas side follows the second self-modeling area. A 4-factor-3-level orthogonal table was used to schedule 9 operation conditions of orthogonal experiment, with the 4 factors being heat power, flue gas velocity, ashes grain diameter and adding ashes quantity while the three levels are different values due to different position classes in every factor. The ash deposition thermal resistances is calculated by the model with the measure parameters of temperature and pressure drop. It shows that the values of the ash deposition thermal resistances gradually increase up to a stable state. And the experimental results are reliable by F testing method at α= 0.001. Therefore, the model can be applied in online monitoring of ash deposition in a boiler economizers in power plants and provides scientific decision on ash deposition prediction and sootblowing.展开更多

When acoustical resonance is generated, in reality, prevention and suppression measures are implemented by inserting a baffle plate into the ducts through a process of trial and error. The purpose of this study is to clarify the mechanism of generation of acoustical resonance, and to establish an appropriate measure to prevent such resonance. Noise generated in an exhaust gas economizer was correlated with the flow inside the tube array and experimentally analyzed, and the mechanism for resonance generation was considered. In addition, the effectiveness of a baffle plate positioned in order to prevent resonance was investigated. We have successfully employed a single baffle plate to suppress resonance.展开更多

The solar collector area will be affected to the investment cost of the solar hot water system. A combined system can be reduced the cost of solar collector by using the waste heat from the economizer to produce the hot water for reaching the requirement of the industry. In this paper the economizer installs in the boiler stack of the industry and produces hot water at 60 ℃ of 5,400 liter per day and the solar hot water system produces the hot water at the same temperature of 6,100 liter per day. The analysis is proposed by determining the solar collector plate area from the data and calculation. Investment cost of the system is 151,000 baht for the solar hot water system of 110,000 baht and the economizer of 410,000 baht for producing the total hot water of 115,000 liter per day.展开更多

Despite the advantages of high effluent quality and small footprint,membrane bioreactor(MBR)technology faces challenges in sustainable development due to energy consumption and membrane fouling.Weighing the advantages...Despite the advantages of high effluent quality and small footprint,membrane bioreactor(MBR)technology faces challenges in sustainable development due to energy consumption and membrane fouling.Weighing the advantages and disadvantages of MBRs requires a comprehensive assessment from techno-economic-environmental perspectives.In this paper,we reviewed the related research on MBRs from three aspects:economic cost analysis,environmental impact assessment,and comprehensive techno-economic-environmental assessment.The aim of this paper is to understand the sustainable development performance of MBRs,and to review the current status of the application of multiple techno-economic-environmental assessment methods in the field of wastewater treatment.The currently available results of the economic cost analysis of MBRs showed that the operating cost and energy consumption of MBRs are higher than those of other wastewater treatment processes if MBRs’potential benefit of smaller footprint is not taken into account.The results of the environmental impact assessment showed that MBRs have a positive environmental impact due to high quality effluent,although global warming potential limits the sustainability of MBRs to some extent.Combined techno-economic-environmental assessment showed that MBRs are economically feasible and technically efficient,while their sustainability is controversial.Given the rapid development of MBR technology,these results may evolve as new advancements are made.In addition,there is room for improvement in the existing literature regarding the reliability and comparability of results,as well as the applicability of the methods,particularly in defining the accounting scope,clarifying model assumptions,and considering discounting.展开更多
To increase the yield of indica-japonica hybrid rice,it is crucial to explore their photosynthetic and population characteristics at different yield levels and quantify their response to varying planting densities.In ...To increase the yield of indica-japonica hybrid rice,it is crucial to explore their photosynthetic and population characteristics at different yield levels and quantify their response to varying planting densities.In this study,a two-year field experiment was conducted to test two indica-japonica hybrid rice varieties with different yield potentials(12 t ha-1and 15 t ha-1,respectively)at four planting densities(D1:21 cm×30 cm;D2:18 cm×30 cm;D3:16 cm×30 cm;D4:14 cm×30 cm).High yield indicajaponica hybrid rice was primarily charcterized by a high number of spikelets per panicle and a greater spikelet weight,which increased the single panicle's weight.In addition,rational material translocation and a coordinated source-sink relationship contributed to dry matter accumulation.Open plant morphology optimized leaf enzyme activity at all stages,improved photosynthesis,and increased yield by 20.54%-21.60%.Increasing the planting density of indica-japonica hybrid rice somewhat restricted the growth of the rice population,leading to decreases in spikelets per panicle,1000-grain weight,seed-setting rate,plant height,length of the top three leaves,leaf width,leaf angle,and the number of primary and secondary branches.However,the higher number of basic seedling resulted in more effective panicles and an increase in total spikelets,increasing the yield of each variety by 4.17%-8.48%and 2.39%-12.71%,respectively.Optimum dense planting of indica-japonica hybrid rice will benefit the sink capacity and a synergistic increase in both yield and economic benefit.This study offers crucial theoretical insights and practical significance for increasing indica-japonica hybrid rice yield and ensuring food security.展开更多
Effective groundwater management is crucial for economic sustainable development,particularly as climate change and population growth increase the uncertainty of aquifer dynamics.Due to limited geological data,Punjab&...Effective groundwater management is crucial for economic sustainable development,particularly as climate change and population growth increase the uncertainty of aquifer dynamics.Due to limited geological data,Punjab's complex hydrogeological conditions and Quaternary alluvial deposits present significant challenges for groundwater management.This study employs cost-effective numerical techniques as alternatives to traditional methods to safeguard groundwater quality,quantity,and accessibility.It introduces an edit-embedded transition frequency model that integrates regional datasets and utilizes algorithms such as GAMEAS,MCMOD,and TSIM to evaluate aquifer heterogeneity and simulate spatial variations using one-dimensional and three-dimensional Markov chains.Findings show that sand exhibits the highest self-transition(33.112 m),indicating strong stability,followed by silt,clay,and gravel,suggesting overall hydrofacies stability both horizontally and vertically.The model's predictions are largely consistent with actual material distribution,with a slight under-prediction of clay(-0.750%)and an over-prediction of sand(2.985%),which accounts for 58.77%of the aquifer material.It also highlights significant heterogeneity in the northern mountainous regions and minor variations in the south.The study emphasizes Punjab's severe water crisis,with groundwater reserves of 3502.3 BCM,declining water levels(0.38–33.62 m),and low hydraulic conductivity,urging government action on rainwater harvesting and sustainable groundwater management policies.展开更多
Background The evolution of Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)resistance in cotton pink bollworm(Pectinophora gossypiella)has renewed reliance on insecticides,making precise application timing vital due to the pest’s interna...Background The evolution of Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)resistance in cotton pink bollworm(Pectinophora gossypiella)has renewed reliance on insecticides,making precise application timing vital due to the pest’s internal feeding habit.This study refines the economic injury level(EIL)for pink bollworm using pest-infestation gradients and yield loss-damage functions.The EILs were estimated and converted to action thresholds(75%of EIL).The sensitivity to control costs,cotton prices,and control efficacy was considered in calculating the EIL.Additionally,the relationship between national pheromone-trap data(2015-2023)and green boll infestation was examined.Results Based on the average cotton prices,optimum control cost,and desirable control efficacy,EILs ranged from 7.1%to 8.6%of boll infestation,with corresponding action thresholds of 5.3%and 6.4%for120 DAS crop stages,respectively.Control efficacy emerged as the most influential factor on EILs.Corresponding pheromone trap catch-based action thresholds were revised to 4.5 and 5.7 moths per trap per night,lower than the existing 8.0 moths per trap per night tied to a 10%boll infestation threshold.Validation using multi-location data supported refined estimates.Conclusions The study demonstrates that maintaining high control efficacy is central to keeping EILs low and enabling timely intervention against pink bollworm.Effective control reduces the pest’s damage potential,lowers the onset of economic loss,and supports earlier,more reliable ET-based actions.These results collectively ensure better suppression of pests and promote economically efficient,agronomically robust pest management.展开更多

International trade serves as a crucial pathway for enhancing global food security and equality amid severe food crises worldwide.Under globalization,economic development has profoundly influenced food trade,while dis...International trade serves as a crucial pathway for enhancing global food security and equality amid severe food crises worldwide.Under globalization,economic development has profoundly influenced food trade,while disparities in food purchasing power among different economic development groups have led to uneven food security outcomes.However,the varying contributions of international trade to food security across these groups remain to be quantitatively elucidated.This study categorized countries into four economic development groups—high,high-medium,medium-low,and low—and examined changes in their food security scores from 2010 to 2019.The cross-group contributions of international trade to food security across these groups were compared.The results revealed that the food security score of the high economic development group was 9.22 times higher than that of the low economic development group.From 2010 to 2019,the high economic development group exhibited a significant upward trend in food security scores,whereas the low economic development group showed a significant decline.Moreover,international trade contributed significantly to both cross-group and within-group food security in the high economic development group,while its contribution to the low economic development group remained negligible.These findings demonstrated that international trade has further widened the food security gap between the high and low economic development groups,and its limited contribution to the low economic development group has failed to reverse the declining trend in their food security scores.This study quantified the divergent impacts of international trade on food security across economic development groups,providing valuable insights for optimizing global food trade policies—particularly in addressing the food security challenges faced by low econominc development group.展开更多

Enhancing farmers’self-development capacity.Is critical to mitigating the risk of large-scale poverty relapse.Drawing on three-wave panel data from the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)covering 2015-2019,this stud...Enhancing farmers’self-development capacity.Is critical to mitigating the risk of large-scale poverty relapse.Drawing on three-wave panel data from the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)covering 2015-2019,this study employs two-way fixed effects and quantile regression models to examine the impact of digital financial literacy on the economic resilience of rural households.A mediation model is further applied to explore the mechanisms underlying this relationship,with particular attention to risk preferences and the adoption of digital technologies.The findings demonstrate that higher levels of digital financial literacy substantially strengthen household economic resilience.Although positive effects are evident across all quantiles,the marginal impact decreases as resilience levels rise.Both risk preferences and the adoption of digital technologies serve as key mediators in this relationship.Heterogeneity analyses indicate that digital financial literacy indirectly enhances household resilience by increasing farmers’risk tolerance and facilitating digital technology adoption,with these effects being particularly pronounced among households with higher educational attainment and those located in central and western China.Consequently,policy interventions should focus on accelerating the development of digital and financial infrastructure in rural areas,improving the design and delivery of digital financial literacy programs,and encouraging active engagement in digital financial markets to strengthen safeguards against poverty relapse.展开更多

As the world’s largest greenhouse gas emitter,China announced its“dual carbon goals”in September 2020.Achieving these goals and advancing high-quality economic development require the coordinated advancement of ene...As the world’s largest greenhouse gas emitter,China announced its“dual carbon goals”in September 2020.Achieving these goals and advancing high-quality economic development require the coordinated advancement of energy structure optimization,industrial structure upgrading,economic efficiency improvement,and carbon emission efficiency enhancement.On the basis of panel data from 30 provinces in China(including municipalities and autonomous regions)from 2010 to 2023,this study first evaluates economic efficiency and carbon emission efficiency via a nonparametric production frontier approach.It then employs a panel vector autoregression(PVAR)model to examine the dynamic relationships among these four indicators—industrial structure upgrading,energy structure optimization,economic efficiency,and carbon emission efficiency—at both the national and regional levels.The findings reveal that:(ⅰ)At the national level,the four indicators have not yet established a long-term dynamic coupling relationship,indicating that synergies among these development factors in China’s green transition remain insufficient;(ⅱ)significant regional heterogeneity exists.The central region shows preliminary mutual influences among the variables,although the strength and stability of these interactions require further enhancement.In contrast,the eastern region demonstrates short-term economic inertia,where economic efficiency and industrial structure upgrading have failed to form a virtuous cycle.The western region lacks an endogenous driving mechanism for effective coordination between industrial and economic efficiency.展开更多

A combined system can be reduced the cost of solar collector by using the waste heat from the economizer to produce the hot water for reaching the requirement of the industry. In this paper the economizer installs in the boiler stack of the industry and produces hot water at 60 ℃ of 5,400 liter per day and the solar hot water system produces the hot water at the same temperature of 6,100 liter per day. The analysis is proposed by determining the solar collector plate area from the data and calculation. Investment cost of the system is 151,000 baht for the solar hot water system of 110,000 baht and the economizer of 410,000 baht for producing the total hot water of 115,000 liter per day.
摘要Based on the calculation and analysis of energy-saving benefit under various operating conditions, and the investment payback period for the low pressure economizer of the 3rd stage project of Longkou Power Plant, the optimum operating conditions of the system and its reasonable heating surface are defined, and the feasibility of the design alternative of the low pressure economizer system is verified.

摘要Despite the advantages of high effluent quality and small footprint,membrane bioreactor(MBR)technology faces challenges in sustainable development due to energy consumption and membrane fouling.Weighing the advantages and disadvantages of MBRs requires a comprehensive assessment from techno-economic-environmental perspectives.In this paper,we reviewed the related research on MBRs from three aspects:economic cost analysis,environmental impact assessment,and comprehensive techno-economic-environmental assessment.The aim of this paper is to understand the sustainable development performance of MBRs,and to review the current status of the application of multiple techno-economic-environmental assessment methods in the field of wastewater treatment.The currently available results of the economic cost analysis of MBRs showed that the operating cost and energy consumption of MBRs are higher than those of other wastewater treatment processes if MBRs’potential benefit of smaller footprint is not taken into account.The results of the environmental impact assessment showed that MBRs have a positive environmental impact due to high quality effluent,although global warming potential limits the sustainability of MBRs to some extent.Combined techno-economic-environmental assessment showed that MBRs are economically feasible and technically efficient,while their sustainability is controversial.Given the rapid development of MBR technology,these results may evolve as new advancements are made.In addition,there is room for improvement in the existing literature regarding the reliability and comparability of results,as well as the applicability of the methods,particularly in defining the accounting scope,clarifying model assumptions,and considering discounting.

摘要To increase the yield of indica-japonica hybrid rice,it is crucial to explore their photosynthetic and population characteristics at different yield levels and quantify their response to varying planting densities.In this study,a two-year field experiment was conducted to test two indica-japonica hybrid rice varieties with different yield potentials(12 t ha-1and 15 t ha-1,respectively)at four planting densities(D1:21 cm×30 cm;D2:18 cm×30 cm;D3:16 cm×30 cm;D4:14 cm×30 cm).High yield indicajaponica hybrid rice was primarily charcterized by a high number of spikelets per panicle and a greater spikelet weight,which increased the single panicle's weight.In addition,rational material translocation and a coordinated source-sink relationship contributed to dry matter accumulation.Open plant morphology optimized leaf enzyme activity at all stages,improved photosynthesis,and increased yield by 20.54%-21.60%.Increasing the planting density of indica-japonica hybrid rice somewhat restricted the growth of the rice population,leading to decreases in spikelets per panicle,1000-grain weight,seed-setting rate,plant height,length of the top three leaves,leaf width,leaf angle,and the number of primary and secondary branches.However,the higher number of basic seedling resulted in more effective panicles and an increase in total spikelets,increasing the yield of each variety by 4.17%-8.48%and 2.39%-12.71%,respectively.Optimum dense planting of indica-japonica hybrid rice will benefit the sink capacity and a synergistic increase in both yield and economic benefit.This study offers crucial theoretical insights and practical significance for increasing indica-japonica hybrid rice yield and ensuring food security.

摘要Effective groundwater management is crucial for economic sustainable development,particularly as climate change and population growth increase the uncertainty of aquifer dynamics.Due to limited geological data,Punjab's complex hydrogeological conditions and Quaternary alluvial deposits present significant challenges for groundwater management.This study employs cost-effective numerical techniques as alternatives to traditional methods to safeguard groundwater quality,quantity,and accessibility.It introduces an edit-embedded transition frequency model that integrates regional datasets and utilizes algorithms such as GAMEAS,MCMOD,and TSIM to evaluate aquifer heterogeneity and simulate spatial variations using one-dimensional and three-dimensional Markov chains.Findings show that sand exhibits the highest self-transition(33.112 m),indicating strong stability,followed by silt,clay,and gravel,suggesting overall hydrofacies stability both horizontally and vertically.The model's predictions are largely consistent with actual material distribution,with a slight under-prediction of clay(-0.750%)and an over-prediction of sand(2.985%),which accounts for 58.77%of the aquifer material.It also highlights significant heterogeneity in the northern mountainous regions and minor variations in the south.The study emphasizes Punjab's severe water crisis,with groundwater reserves of 3502.3 BCM,declining water levels(0.38–33.62 m),and low hydraulic conductivity,urging government action on rainwater harvesting and sustainable groundwater management policies.

摘要Background The evolution of Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)resistance in cotton pink bollworm(Pectinophora gossypiella)has renewed reliance on insecticides,making precise application timing vital due to the pest’s internal feeding habit.This study refines the economic injury level(EIL)for pink bollworm using pest-infestation gradients and yield loss-damage functions.The EILs were estimated and converted to action thresholds(75%of EIL).The sensitivity to control costs,cotton prices,and control efficacy was considered in calculating the EIL.Additionally,the relationship between national pheromone-trap data(2015-2023)and green boll infestation was examined.Results Based on the average cotton prices,optimum control cost,and desirable control efficacy,EILs ranged from 7.1%to 8.6%of boll infestation,with corresponding action thresholds of 5.3%and 6.4%for120 DAS crop stages,respectively.Control efficacy emerged as the most influential factor on EILs.Corresponding pheromone trap catch-based action thresholds were revised to 4.5 and 5.7 moths per trap per night,lower than the existing 8.0 moths per trap per night tied to a 10%boll infestation threshold.Validation using multi-location data supported refined estimates.Conclusions The study demonstrates that maintaining high control efficacy is central to keeping EILs low and enabling timely intervention against pink bollworm.Effective control reduces the pest’s damage potential,lowers the onset of economic loss,and supports earlier,more reliable ET-based actions.These results collectively ensure better suppression of pests and promote economically efficient,agronomically robust pest management.
摘要Over the past decade,neonicotinoid insecticides have become the fastest-growing and most widely used class of pesticides.Initially,these compounds were considered ideal replacements for more hazardous chemicals such as carbamates and organophosphates,due to their presumed limited impact on the environment and human health.However,neonicotinoids have since been detected in soils,surface waters,groundwater,food,and various human biological samples.Moreover,they have been shown to negatively affect aquatic organisms,including aquatic insects,crustaceans,mollusks,fish,algae/macrophytes,and amphibians.Epidemiological studies and human biomonitoring research have revealed both acute and chronic health effects,ranging from respiratory,cardiovascular,and neurological symptoms to congenital abnormalities.This review examines the effects of neonicotinoids,their ecological consequences,and the potential risks associated with human exposure.

摘要International trade serves as a crucial pathway for enhancing global food security and equality amid severe food crises worldwide.Under globalization,economic development has profoundly influenced food trade,while disparities in food purchasing power among different economic development groups have led to uneven food security outcomes.However,the varying contributions of international trade to food security across these groups remain to be quantitatively elucidated.This study categorized countries into four economic development groups—high,high-medium,medium-low,and low—and examined changes in their food security scores from 2010 to 2019.The cross-group contributions of international trade to food security across these groups were compared.The results revealed that the food security score of the high economic development group was 9.22 times higher than that of the low economic development group.From 2010 to 2019,the high economic development group exhibited a significant upward trend in food security scores,whereas the low economic development group showed a significant decline.Moreover,international trade contributed significantly to both cross-group and within-group food security in the high economic development group,while its contribution to the low economic development group remained negligible.These findings demonstrated that international trade has further widened the food security gap between the high and low economic development groups,and its limited contribution to the low economic development group has failed to reverse the declining trend in their food security scores.This study quantified the divergent impacts of international trade on food security across economic development groups,providing valuable insights for optimizing global food trade policies—particularly in addressing the food security challenges faced by low econominc development group.

摘要Conversion of double-cropping rice(DR)into a rice-vegetable(RV)rotation system has become prevalent among farmers seeking higher economic returns in China.However,the overall impacts of this conversion on economic benefits and environmental outcomes have rarely been studied.This study presented a field experiment to investigate the impacts of converting DR into rice-edamame(RE)and rice-broccoli(RB)on methane(CH4)and nitrous oxide(N2O)emissions,carbon footprints(CF),nitrogen footprints(NF),net economic benefit(NEB),and net ecosystem economic benefit(NEEB)in paddy fields.

摘要Assessing the carbon sink potential of marine aquaculture is critical to fostering sustainable marine economic development and achieving carbon neutrality.This study evaluates the carbon sink potential of four nearshore aquaculture systems in China:floating raft,net cage,pond,and tidal flat.China’s coastal aquaculture shows a dramatic potential range from−5401.28×104t to 84.65×104t,acting as both a carbon sink and a source.Floating raft(11.19×104t to 105.65×104t)and tidal flat(42.83×104t to 114.35×104t)are net carbon sinks.In contrast,net cage(−427.39×104t to−4.26×104t)and pond(−5027.91×104t to−131.09×104t)are significant net carbon sources.This heterogeneity is driven by differences in species,feed inputs,energy consumption,and management practices.The results highlight the need for targeted low-carbon technologies in high-emission systems to maximize carbon sequestration and mitigate their environmental impacts.This study provides a scientific basis for optimizing carbon management and offers insights for global sustainable aquaculture and carbon neutrality.

摘要Unraveling the drivers of the plant trait spectrum is crucial for explaining species coexistence,especially in biodiverse ecosystems.Focusing on the Maolan Nature Reserve,a typical karst evergreen-deciduous mixed forest,this study examined the contributions of water use efficiency(WUE)differences between those species to their trait spectra in 30 plots by measuring the plant functional traits.WUE characterization based on stable carbon isotopes and modeling revealed significant WUE and plant trait spectrum differences between evergreen and deciduous trees.In addition,their WUE could significantly influence their functional traits,functional diversity,and leaf economic spectrum.Moreover,the WUE of deciduous species played a more important role in influencing the plant trait spectrum compared to evergreen species.Specifically,compared to evergreen trees,deciduous trees contributed more to the functional diversity,mainly by altering the niche overlap.The findings demonstrated the key role of deciduous species in ecosystem functioning and highlighted the importance of niche differentiation for species coexistence in karst forests.

摘要The inherent unpredictability of renewable energy generation poses significant challenges to the reliable and economic dispatch of grid-connected microgrids.In response,this paper proposes a novel robust optimization strategy grounded in uncertain boundary decision-making and enhanced through innovations in the multi-objective cross-entropy method.An uncertainty budget-aware environmental economic dispatch model is first established,integrating photovoltaic and wind power generation.By employing mathematical sophistication-particularly Lagrangian transformation-the proposed method effectively resolves embedded uncertainties,transforming the original model into a deterministic multi-objective optimization framework robust against renewable energy volatility.Furthermore,by incorporating the dynamic operational demands of microgrids,this paper culminates in a robust optimization approach that is both fundamentally based on and adaptively responsive to uncertainty boundaries.To address the critical challenges of convergence and diversity in multi-objective optimization,crossover operators and an adaptive parameter update mechanism are introduced,significantly refining the conventional multi-objective cross-entropy algorithm.Case studies demonstrate the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed dispatch strategy and corroborate the superior performance and applicability of the enhanced algorithm.

摘要Enhancing farmers’self-development capacity.Is critical to mitigating the risk of large-scale poverty relapse.Drawing on three-wave panel data from the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)covering 2015-2019,this study employs two-way fixed effects and quantile regression models to examine the impact of digital financial literacy on the economic resilience of rural households.A mediation model is further applied to explore the mechanisms underlying this relationship,with particular attention to risk preferences and the adoption of digital technologies.The findings demonstrate that higher levels of digital financial literacy substantially strengthen household economic resilience.Although positive effects are evident across all quantiles,the marginal impact decreases as resilience levels rise.Both risk preferences and the adoption of digital technologies serve as key mediators in this relationship.Heterogeneity analyses indicate that digital financial literacy indirectly enhances household resilience by increasing farmers’risk tolerance and facilitating digital technology adoption,with these effects being particularly pronounced among households with higher educational attainment and those located in central and western China.Consequently,policy interventions should focus on accelerating the development of digital and financial infrastructure in rural areas,improving the design and delivery of digital financial literacy programs,and encouraging active engagement in digital financial markets to strengthen safeguards against poverty relapse.

摘要Neurodegenerative diseases account for a large and increasing health and economic burden worldwide.With an increasingly aged population,this burden is set to increase.Optic neuropathies make up a large proportion of neurodegenerative diseases with glaucoma being highly prevalent.Glaucoma is characterized by the progressive dysfunction and loss of retinal ganglion cells and their axons which make up the optic nerve.It is the leading cause of irreversible vision loss and affects an estimated 80 million people.The mammalian central nervous system is non-regenerative and,once lost or injured,retinal ganglion cells cannot regenerate an axon into the optic nerve under basal conditions.Thus,strategies that provide neuroprotection to stressed,dysfunctional,or dying retinal ganglion cells are likely to be of high therapeutic and translational value.Advancing age,genetics,and elevated intraocular pressure are all major risk factors for glaucoma,however,all clinically available glaucoma treatments focus on intraocular pressure management and do not directly address the neurodegenerative component of glaucoma.

摘要As the world’s largest greenhouse gas emitter,China announced its“dual carbon goals”in September 2020.Achieving these goals and advancing high-quality economic development require the coordinated advancement of energy structure optimization,industrial structure upgrading,economic efficiency improvement,and carbon emission efficiency enhancement.On the basis of panel data from 30 provinces in China(including municipalities and autonomous regions)from 2010 to 2023,this study first evaluates economic efficiency and carbon emission efficiency via a nonparametric production frontier approach.It then employs a panel vector autoregression(PVAR)model to examine the dynamic relationships among these four indicators—industrial structure upgrading,energy structure optimization,economic efficiency,and carbon emission efficiency—at both the national and regional levels.The findings reveal that:(ⅰ)At the national level,the four indicators have not yet established a long-term dynamic coupling relationship,indicating that synergies among these development factors in China’s green transition remain insufficient;(ⅱ)significant regional heterogeneity exists.The central region shows preliminary mutual influences among the variables,although the strength and stability of these interactions require further enhancement.In contrast,the eastern region demonstrates short-term economic inertia,where economic efficiency and industrial structure upgrading have failed to form a virtuous cycle.The western region lacks an endogenous driving mechanism for effective coordination between industrial and economic efficiency.

摘要Based on an index system established from the dimensions of ecology,life,and production,this study measures the governance efficiency of rural human settlements in the Yangtze River Economic Belt(YREB)using the super-efficient slack-based measure model.The Gini coefficient,Markov chain,and Tobit regression model are employed to analyze the YREB’s regional disparities,dynamic trends,and influencing factors,providing a theoretical basis for promoting rural revitalization and regional coordination development.The results show that:(1)The overall governance efficiency exhibits a fluctuating uptrend,with a spatial pattern of“downstream>midstream>upstream”.(2)Moreover,regional differences of efficiency show a fluctuating downtrend,with inter-regional disparities as the primary sources.(3)The Markov chain indicates strong convergence in low-efficiency regions and low stability in high-efficiency regions.(4)Finally,governance efficiency can be significantly influenced by financial support,informatization,economic development,and education level.These results demonstrated the need for differentiated policies to narrow regional gaps and enhance synergistic,sustainable improvement in rural human settlements.

摘要Does traditional Chinese economic thought possess genuine analytical rigor?This question lies at the heart of any serious evaluation of its theoretical value and historical significance.It also matters for understanding how best to preserve,build on its remarkable achievements,and develop its intellectual legacy.Critics such as Schumpeter and Taylor have long argued that the economic reasoning found in ancient China cannot compare with that of classical Greece or medieval Europe.Yet this view often reflects the narrow assumptions of mainstream economics,defining analysis almost entirely in terms of market exchange.As a result,it tends to overlook traditions built around statecraft,governance,and the management of economic order.A careful re-examination and Sino-Western comparative analysis of key thinkers-including Mencius,Guanzi,and Sima Qian-tells a different story.Rooted in China’s distinctive cultural and philosophical heritage,traditional Chinese economic thought not only contains the analytical dimensions(as defined by Schumpeter)but also displays a broader and more diverse set of economic reasoning.Notably,its systematic depth and intellectual precision were,in many respects,remarkably advanced.Therefore,advancing the construction of a Chinese school of economics in the new era under the framework of the“Second Integration”,i.e.,integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s fine traditional culture,should,and indeed can draw essential insights from this analytical tradition.
