A ternary-layered carbide Ti2AlC material could be synthesized by spark plasma sintering(SPS) technology using elemental powder mixture of Ti, Al and active carbon. By means of XRD and SEM, phases were identified and microscopically evaluated. The experimental results show that the main phase in the product was fully crystallized Ti2AlC with small particle size when sintered at 1200℃. The synthesis temperature of SPS was 200-400℃ lower than that of hot pressing (HP) or hot isostatic pressing (HIP). Through thermodynamics calculations, the mechanism of Ti2AlC was studied by calculating changes of Gibbs free energy of reactions. 展开更多

TiAI-based alloys with various compositions (including Ti-48Al, Ti-47Al-2Cr-2Nb, Ti-47Al-2Cr-2Nb-0.2B and Ti-47Al-3Cr, in mole fraction) had been prepared by elemental powder metallurgy (EPM). The results have shown that the density of the prepared Ti-48AI alloy increases with increasing hot pressing temperature up to 1300℃. The Ti-48AI alloy microstructure mainly consisted of island-like Ti3Al phase and TiAl matrix at hot pressing temperature below 1300℃, however, coarse α2/γ lamellar colonies and γ grains appeared at 1400℃. It has also indicated that the additions of elemental Cr and B can refine the alloy microstructure. The main microstructural inhomogeneity in EPM TiAI-based alloys was the island-like α2 phase or the aggregate of α2/γ lamellar colony, and such island-like structure will be inherited during subsequent heat treatment in (α+γ) field. Only after heat treatment in a field would this structure be eliminated. The mechanical properties of EPM TiAl-based alloys with various compositions were tested, and the effect of alloy elements on the mechanical properties was closely related to that of alloy elements on the alloy microstructures. Based on the above results, TiAI-based alloy exhaust valves were fabricated by elemental powder metallurgy and diffusion joining. The automobile engine test had demonstrated that the performance of the manufactured valves was very promising for engine service. 展开更多

A NiAl/TiB2 nanocomposite is synthesized by mechanical alloying elemental powders. Upon milling for a certain time, an abrupt exothermic reaction occurs and a large amount of NiAl and TiB2 compounds form simultaneously. It is suggested that two separate chemical reactions,i.e. Ni+Al →NiAl and Ti+2B→TiB2, are involved during the exothermic reaction. Additionof Ti and B to Ni-Al system impedes the structural evolution of Ni and Al powders and delays the abrupt reaction. The final products are equilibrium phases without any metastable phases formed. This type of reaction is suggested to be suitable for alloy systems with two large heatrelease reactions. 展开更多

The process was treated as a static problem,wit h kinematical component being neglected. Due to ill condition,Cholesky’s metho d failed to solve the system equations,while conjugate gradient method was trie d and yielded good results. Deformation of the particles was examined and compar ed with the results of physical modeling experiments. In both cases,the inner p articles were deformed from sphere to polygonal column,with the edges turning f rom arc to straight line. The edge number of a particle was equal to the number of particles surrounding it. And the experiments show that the ductile metal par ticles can be densified only by their plastic deformation without the occurrence of rearrangement phenomenon. 展开更多

Ingot metallurgy (IM) aluminum has long been the subject and attracted the attention of many metallurgists and textural researchers of materials. Due to the introduction of large amounts of ex situ interfaces, however, the textures in powder metallurgy (PM) processed aluminum has been rarely reported. In this article, a pure aluminum plate was prepared via PM route. The starting billet was first produced with uni-axially cold compaction and flat hot-extrusion and then followed by cold rolling processes. The hot-extruded and cold rolling deformation textures of the pure PM aluminum at 50%, 80% and 90% cold rolling reductions were studied by orientation distribution functions (ODFs) analysis. The finite element polycrystal model (FEPM) was finally utilized to simulate the cold rolling textural evolution at various stages of cold rolling. In FEPM simulation, the initial hot-extruded textures were taken into account as inputs. The results showed that typical β-fiber texture formed in pure PM aluminum with the cold rolling reduction increased till 80%, and there was not much change after excessive cold rolling deformation. Homogeneous slip is not the only deformation mode in PM processed pure aluminum plate at over 80% cold rolling reduction. The experimental results were qualitatively in good agreement with the simulated ones. 展开更多

Every type of grains has its own domain and dislocation structure. There are mono- and polydomains with and without dislocations. The grains of the main phase of monoand polydomains without dislocations and polydomains with dislocations were formed by diffusion in the solid phase. In these conditions NiAl3 phase is located on the grain boundary of the main phase. The Ni2Al3 phase is located at the triple joints of the main phase. 展开更多

Ti-4.5Al-6.0Mo-1.5Fe, Ti-6Al-1Mo-1Fe and Ti-6Al-4V alloys were prepared by blended elemental powder metallurgy (PM) process, and the effects of Nd on the microstructures and mechanical properties were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was found out that the addition of Nd increased the density of sintered titanium alloys slightly by a maximum increment of 1% because small amount of liquid phase occurred during sintering. The addition of Nd shows little effect on the improvement of tensile strength, while the elongation is significantly improved. For example, the elongation of Ti-4.SAl-6.0Mo-1.5Fe can be increased from 1% without addition of Nd to 13% at a Nd content of 1.2 wt pct. 展开更多

This study described a hydrometallurgical method to investigate the separation of rare earth elements(REEs)from rare earth polishing powder wastes(REPPWs)containing large amounts of rare earth oxides with a major phase of CeO2 and minor phases of La2O3,Pr2O3,and Nd2O3 using a process devised by the authors.The suggested approach consisted of five processes:the synthesis of NaR E(SO4)2·xH2O from rare earth oxides in Na2SO4-H2SO4-H2 O solutions(Process 1),the conversion of NaR E(SO4)2·xH2O into RE(OH)3 using NaO H(Process 2),and the oxidation of Ce(OH)3 into Ce(OH)4 using air with O2 injection(Process 3),followed by Processes 4 and 5 for separation of REEs by acid leaching using HCl and H2SO4,respectively.To confirm the high yield of NaR E(SO4)2·xH2O in Process 1,experiments were carried out under various Na2SO4 concentrations(0.4–2.5 mol/L),sulfuric acid concentrations(6–14 mol/L),and reaction temperatures(95–125 oC).In addition,the effect of the pH value on the separation of Ce(OH)4 in HCl-H2 O solutions with Ce(OH)4,La-,Pr-,and Nd(OH)3 in Process 4 was also investigated.On the basis of above results,the possibility of effective separation of REEs from REPPWs could be confirmed. 展开更多

The Ni_3B phase was formed when boron (0.5 at. pct B) was added to the intermetallic of sto- ichiometric and off-stoichiometric (Ni-24 at. pct Al) compounds. In the alloy of stoichiometric composition the particles of Ni_3B phase has the size around 0.1μm and is located on the grain boundary of the main phase. The decreasing of concentrations of Al in the ofF-stoichiometric alloy leads to increase in the degree of the long-range order parameter, increasing the concen- trations of boron in the solid solution and decreasing its localization on the grain boundary. Microalloying of boron leads to increasing in the fraction of grain monodomains with disloca- tions up to 0.7 in the alloy of the off-stoichiometric composition and up to 1 in the alloy of the stoichiometric composition. It was established the correlation between the degree of the concentration inhomogeneity, average density of the dislocations and the average long range-order parameter. 展开更多

Direct LMD (laser metal deposition) was used to fabricate thin-wall Ti-6Al-4V using the powder mixture of Ti-6 wt.%Al-4 wt.%V. SEM (scanning electron microscopy), OM (optical microscopy) and EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy) were employed to examine the chemical composition and microstructure of the as-deposited sections. Vickers hardness tests were then applied to characterize the mechanical properties of the deposit samples which were fabricated using pre-mixed elemental powders. The EDS line scans indicated that the chemical composition of the samples was homogenous across the deposit. After significant analysis, some differences were observed among two sets of deposit samples which varied in the particle size of the mixing Ti-6wt.%Al-4wt.%V powder. It could be found that the set with similar particle number for Ti, Al and V powder made composition much more stable and could easily get industry qualified Ti-6Al-4V components. 展开更多

为解决硫酸钾粉状肥料离散元仿真缺乏准确接触参数的问题,结合物理试验与EDEM仿真进行参数标定。首先,以休止角为响应指标,将颗粒简化为软质球,并基于缩放原理将粒径放大至1.4 mm;然后,通过Plackett-Burman试验设计筛选出硫酸钾粉状肥... 为解决硫酸钾粉状肥料离散元仿真缺乏准确接触参数的问题,结合物理试验与EDEM仿真进行参数标定。首先,以休止角为响应指标,将颗粒简化为软质球,并基于缩放原理将粒径放大至1.4 mm;然后,通过Plackett-Burman试验设计筛选出硫酸钾粉状肥料间恢复系数、滚动摩擦因数、硫酸钾粉状肥料-不锈钢静摩擦因数为3个主要影响因素,并利用最陡爬坡和Box-Behnken试验设计优化建立休止角与参数关系模型,最终得到最优组合为粉状肥料间碰撞恢复系数0.251、粉状肥料间滚动摩擦因数0.249、粉状肥料-不锈钢静摩擦因数0.591;最后,用标定的参数进行仿真试验,得到仿真休止角为46.11°,与实际休止角46.93°的相对误差为1.75%,表明所标定的接触参数具有较高准确性,可用于硫酸钾粉状肥料放大颗粒的离散元仿真。研究可为相关粉状肥料追肥器的优化设计提供理论基础。 展开更多

超声换能器是槽波三维地震物理模拟数据采集系统中最关键的部件,其性能决定物理模拟是否成功。目前,常规地震物理模拟采用圆柱形换能器,直径1 cm左右,但对于槽波物理模拟固体采集来说直径太大,不能满足多种煤厚的槽波物理模拟数据采集... 超声换能器是槽波三维地震物理模拟数据采集系统中最关键的部件,其性能决定物理模拟是否成功。目前,常规地震物理模拟采用圆柱形换能器,直径1 cm左右,但对于槽波物理模拟固体采集来说直径太大,不能满足多种煤厚的槽波物理模拟数据采集需求。采用压电陶瓷方柱体轴向伸缩振动模式、阶梯型压电晶体结构+背衬层的整体思路,利用COMSOL Multiphysics开展了阶梯型方柱体压电晶体模态的有限元仿真分析,优化结构设计,增大辐射能量/接收灵敏度,实现换能器与模型点接触且不需要耦合剂;开展背衬层材料配比实验,配比了固体粉末+乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物混合物作为背衬层吸收余振,实现灵敏度损失较小情况下的窄脉冲,拓宽换能器带宽。研制出的大功率低频、点状、窄脉冲、干耦合超声换能器,主频32 kHz、频宽约20 kHz(-3 dB,23~43 kHz),前端尺寸2 mm。分别采用研制的点接触超声换能器与常规圆柱形超声换能器作为震源在物理模型上进行反射、透射观测系统数据采集、波场特征分析,结果发现研制的点接触超声换能器在能量方面优于圆柱形超声换能器,其信号衰减小、信噪比高,但其由于换能器高频截止频率为43 kHz,高频信号无法接收;圆柱形超声换能器能量小但频带宽,可接收高频槽波信号;在进行槽波三维地震物理模拟时可根据模型大小、煤层厚度等因素进行最优选择。 展开更多

采用计算流体力学-离散单元法(computation fluid dynamics-discrete element method,CFD-DEM)耦合剪切冲击损能量模型(shear impact energy model,SIEM)对印染污泥-煤粉颗粒混合气固两相流所致流化床埋管冲蚀磨损开展了数值模拟研究。... 采用计算流体力学-离散单元法(computation fluid dynamics-discrete element method,CFD-DEM)耦合剪切冲击损能量模型(shear impact energy model,SIEM)对印染污泥-煤粉颗粒混合气固两相流所致流化床埋管冲蚀磨损开展了数值模拟研究。分析了气速、初始颗粒分布对流化床内圆管和方管冲蚀磨损特性影响。结果表明,圆管和方管冲蚀磨损率均随气速增大而增大,尤其是埋管底部。原因主要是颗粒动能随气速增大而增大,且埋管底部密度较大的煤粉颗粒比例同样随气速增大而增大。采用了上污泥下煤粉、二者混合以及上煤粉下污泥3种初始分布来研究复杂流化过程中颗粒分布对埋管冲蚀磨损作用。实验结果表明,由于显著的分离作用,上煤粉下污泥初始分布时冲击埋管的主要是密度较小的污泥颗粒进而导致埋管磨损率较小。同样地,不论圆管还是方管,均存在上煤粉下污泥初始分布时磨损率更小的现象。 展开更多

Magnesium alloys are important materials for application in the automotive and aviation industries. During the last few years, the number of possible applications as biodegradable implants in medicine has grown. Mg-RE(rare earth) alloys belong to the most advanced group of products, offering the best combination of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Among these materials, WE43(Mg-Y-Nd)is a very well-known commercial alloy that has been extensively studied for applications at increased temperatures and also in organisms. Although this material has been described, there are still possibilities to improve its properties and subsequently expand its applicability. Powder metallurgy has already been used for the preparation of magnesium alloys with superior mechanical properties and occasionally superior corrosion properties. Therefore, the present paper is oriented toward the preparation of Mg-4Y-3RE-Zr(WE43) alloy by the powder metallurgy technique(WE43-PM) and comparison of the final properties with the product of extrusion of as-cast ingot(WE43-IM). Our processing leads to a partial improvement in the mechanical properties and superior corrosion resistance of WE43-PM. 在现代反恐作战中经常面对快速突入室内的行动任务,破门弹能够有效毁伤门锁或锁链,确保任务的顺利进行。采用传统的霰弹枪破门弹破门时,钢珠及其产生的碎片可能对周围人员带来附带伤害,为此提出了一种采用内肋增强的多孔薄壁非金属圆筒... 在现代反恐作战中经常面对快速突入室内的行动任务,破门弹能够有效毁伤门锁或锁链,确保任务的顺利进行。采用传统的霰弹枪破门弹破门时,钢珠及其产生的碎片可能对周围人员带来附带伤害,为此提出了一种采用内肋增强的多孔薄壁非金属圆筒结构为支撑载体、填充高密度金属粉末的新型低附带毁伤破门弹。具有内支撑结构的薄壁圆筒可使弹药在发射过程中保持结构稳定性,提升破门弹的侵彻性能,在击穿门锁后金属粉末的动能快速衰减,降低附带毁伤。通过弹道试验和数值仿真研究了新型破门弹侵彻等效钢靶的作用过程和附带毁伤,获得了粉末材料、初始动能和内肋结构对毁伤效果的影响,分析了多孔薄壁圆筒结构填充金属粉末结构破门弹的侵彻吸能机理,结果表明,二阶内肋结构的破门弹所需初始动能较小,且附带毁伤不足以对周围人员造成致命伤害。 展开更多

TiAl alloy with high Nb content,nominally Ti-45Al-10Nb,was prepared by powder metallurgy,and the oxidation resistance at 850,900,and 950℃was investigated.The high-temperature oxidation-resistance mechanism and oxidation dynamics were discussed following the oxide skin morphology and microstructural evolution analysis.The oxide skin structures were similar for 850 and 900℃,with TiO2+Al2O3mixture covering TiO2with dispersed Nb2O5.At 950℃,the oxide skin was divided into four sublayers,from the outside to the parent metal:loose TiO2+Al2O3,dense Al2O3,dense TiO2+Nb2O5,and TiO2matrix with dispersed Nb2O5.The Nb layer suppressed the outward diffusion of Ti atoms,hindering the growth of TiO2,and simultaneously promote the formation of a continuous Al2O3protective layer,providing the alloy with long-term high-temperature oxidation resistance. 展开更多

目的建立并优化基于电感耦合等离子体质谱法(inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry,ICP-MS)测定婴幼儿配方羊奶粉中Mg、Ca、Fe、Cu、Zn、Se、Pb含量的分析方法。方法系统比较石墨消解法、超声酸提取法和微波消解3种前处理方法... 目的建立并优化基于电感耦合等离子体质谱法(inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry,ICP-MS)测定婴幼儿配方羊奶粉中Mg、Ca、Fe、Cu、Zn、Se、Pb含量的分析方法。方法系统比较石墨消解法、超声酸提取法和微波消解3种前处理方法,分别优化关键参数:石墨消解法优化消解体系配比与时间;超声酸提取法重点优化提取酸浓度;微波消解法调整消解程序与试剂用量。通过加标回收率、重复性实验和标准物质测定进行方法学验证,综合评价各方法的准确度、精密度和适用性。结果3种优化方法测定结果无显著差异(P>0.05)。各元素检出限为0.0007~0.0941 mg/kg,加标回收率为88.2%~110.8%,相对标准偏差(relative standard deviation,RSD)均低于5.64%。国家标准物质奶粉中各元素测定值均在认定值范围内。结论石墨消解法和超声酸提取法在保证分析质量的前提下,较微波消解分别缩短操作时间55%和70%,具有试剂消耗少、污染风险低、检测成本低等优势,更适用于婴幼儿配方羊奶粉中多元素的高通量快速检测,具备良好的应用与推广价值。 展开更多

Hot deformation of sintered billets by powder metallurgy(PM)is an effective preparation technique for titanium alloys,which is more significant for high-alloying alloys.In this study,Ti–6.5Al–2Zr–Mo–V(TA15)titanium alloy plates were prepared by cold press-ing sintering combined with high-temperature hot rolling.The microstructure and mechanical properties under different process paramet-ers were investigated.Optical microscope,electron backscatter diffraction,and others were applied to characterize the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties strengthening mechanism.The results showed that the chemical compositions were uniformly dif-fused without segregation during sintering,and the closing of the matrix craters was accelerated by increasing the sintering temperature.The block was hot rolled at 1200℃ with an 80%reduction under only two passes without annealing.The strength and elongation of the plate at 20–25℃ after solution and aging were 1247 MPa and 14.0%,respectively,which were increased by 24.5%and 40.0%,respect-ively,compared with the as-sintered alloy at 1300℃.The microstructure was significantly refined by continuous dynamic recrystalliza-tion,which was completed by the rotation and dislocation absorption of the substructure surrounded by low-angle grain boundaries.After hot rolling combined with heat treatment,the strength and plasticity of PM-TA15 were significantly improved,which resulted from the dense,uniform,and fine recrystallization structure and the synergistic effect of multiple slip systems. 展开更多
