The effect of nanometer anatase TiO2 was investigated on the photocatalytic degradation of phenanthrene on soil surfaces under a variety of conditions. After being spiked with phenanthrene, soil samples loaded with different amounts of TiO2 (0 wt.%, 1 wt.%, 2 wt.%, 3 wt.%, and 4 wt.%) were exposed to UV-light irradiation for 25 hr. The results indicated that the photocatalytic degradation of phenanthrene followed the pseudo first-order kinetics. TiO2 significantly accelerated the degradation of phenanthrene with the half-life reduced from 45.90 to 31.36 hr for TiO2 loading of 0 wt.% and 4 wt.%, respectively. In addition, the effects of H202, light intensity and humic acid on the degradation of phenanthrene were investigated. The degradation of phenanthrene increased with the concentration of H202, light intensity and the concentration of humic acids. It has been demonstrated that the photocatalytic method in the presence of nanometer anatase TiO2 was a very promising technology for the treatments of soil polluted with organic substances in the future. 展开更多

Nanometer size... Nanometer α-Fe2O3 catalysts were prepared by hydrolyzation in high temperature. Three kinds of precipitators, NaOH, (NH4)2CO3 and urea were used to compare the effect in the process of hydrolyzation. Nanometer sizer, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were employed to test the profiles and diameters of the product particles. The test results indicate that the production is nanometer α-Fe2O3 with narrow particle size distribution (PSD) and good dispersibility. The catalysts are mixed with ammonia perchlorate (AP) in 1.0 wt.%. And the composite particles of catalysts with AP are prepared using a new solvent-nonsolvent method. Differential thermal analyzer (DTA) is employed to analysis the thermal decomposition of the composite particles and pure AP sample. The results imply that the thermal decomposition curve peaks of the samples in which nanometer α-Fe2O3 catalysts are added appear comparatively more ahead than that of pure AP sample. Among these mixtures added nanometer material, the smaller the particle diameter of catalyst is, the more ahead the thermal decomposition curve peaks of AP appear. The high and low temperature thermal decomposition curve peaks of AP mixed with the catalyst deposed by urea are more ahead of 77.8?℃ and 9.7?℃ than that of pure AP, respectively. The mechanism of the catalyst deposed by urea with smaller diameter and the distinct catalysis of the particles on the thermal decomposition of AP are discussed. 展开更多

The mechanical properties of the hot-rolled plates of Ti steel and Ti-Mo steel after isothermal transformation in a temperature range of 600 700 ℃ for 60 min have been tested, and the microstructures of the matrix and the characteristics of precipitated nanometer-sized carbides have also been examined by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The precipitation regularity of nanometer-sized carbides has been studied by thermodynamic method and the contributions of corresponding strengthening mechanisms to the total yield strength have been calculated. The tensile strength of hot-rolled Ti-Mo ferritie steel can achieve 780 MPa with an elongation of 20.0% after being isothermally treated at 600 ℃ for 60 rain, and the tensile strength of Ti steel is 605 MPa with an elongation of 22.7%, according to the results of tensile tests. The critical nucleation size of (Ti,Mo)C is smaller than that of TiC at a given isothermal temperature, but the nucleation rate of (Ti, Mo)C is larger than that of TiC. The grainrefinement strengthening and precipitation strengthening contribute the main amount of the total yield strength. The major increase in yield strength with the decrease of isothermal temperature results from the contribution of precipi tation strengthening. The contribution of precipitation strengthening to the yield strength of the steels has been esti mated. The ferrite phase can be strengthened by about 400 MPa through precipitation strengthening in Ti-Mo steel isothermally treated at 600 ℃ for 60 rain, which is about 200 MPa higher than that of Ti steel under the same conditions. 展开更多

A series of photocatalysts of un-doped, single-doped and co-doped nanometer titanium diox- ide (TiO2) have been successfully prepared by template method using Fe(NO3)3.9H2O, La(NO3)3.6H2O, and tetrabutyl titanate as precursors and glucan as template. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and N2 adsorption-desorption measurement were employed to characterize the morphology, crystal structure and surface structure of the samples. The photo-absorbance of the obtained catalysts was measured by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, and the photocatalytic activities of the prepared samples under UV and visible light were estimated by measuring the degradation rate of methyl orange in an aqueous solution. The characterizations indicated that the prepared photocatalysts consisted of anatase phase and possessed high surface area of ca. 163-176 m2/g. It was shown that the Fe and La co-doped nano-TiO2 could be activated by visible light and could thus be used as an effective catalyst in photo-oxidation reactions. The synergistic effect of Fe and La co-doping played an important role in improving the photocatalytic activity. In addition, the possibility of cyclic usage of co-doped nano-TiO2 was also confirmed, the photocatalytic activity of codoped nano-TiO2 remained above 89.6% of the fresh sample after being used four times. 展开更多

W-2 wt.%Y2O3 composite material with uniform distribution of yttrium element was fabricated through processes of mechanical alloying (MA) and spark plasma sintering (SPS). The relevant productions were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The XRD showed that the W-2 wt.%Y2O3 composite powder, including tungsten matrix and Y2O3 particles, was refined to nanometer sizes during the MA process. The SEM and TEM micrographs showed that the MA produced composite powder presented a lamellar morphology and contained many dislocations and microcracks. The EDS showed that the Y and O elements were uniformly distributed in the W matrix after mechanically alloying for 15 h. The W-2 wt.%Y2O3 composite material with uniform distribution of yttrium was obtained by sintering of the MA produced composite powder. 展开更多

The effects of nanometer realgar uterine cervix cancer cell line SiHa cells and suspension on proliferation and apoptosis of human oncogenic genes HPV16E6/E7 were investigated. A "micro-jet effiux" strategy was used for the preparation of nanometer realgar suspension. SiHa cells were treated with nanometer Realgar suspension in various concentrations (6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 mg/L) for different durations (12, 24, 48 and 72 h). The inhibitive effect of nanometer realgar suspension on growth of SiHa cells was detected by MTT method. Special morphological changes of apoptosis were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and DNA fragments electrophoresis. The apoptotic rate was quantified by flow cytometry (FCM). The expression of HPV 16E6/E7 mRNA and protein was assayed by RT-PCR and Western blot respectively. The results showed after being treated with 25--50 mg/L nanometer realgar suspension for 48 h, the survival rate of SiHa cells was decreased, and apoptotic rate markedly increased in a time- and concentration-dependent manner. TEM and DNA electrophoresis revealed the special morphological changes of apoptosis. The apoptotic rate of SiHa cells treated with nanometer realgar suspension was significantly higher than in the control group (P〈0.01), and G0/G1 phase arrest appeared following treatment with nanometer realgar suspension in 25 and 50 mg/L for 48 h. RT-PCR and Western blot assay indicated that nanometer realgar suspension reduced the HPV16E6/E7 gene expression. Nanometer realgar suspension could inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of SiHa cells. The mechanism may be related to the down-regulation of the HPV16E6/E7 gene expression. 展开更多

In a technologic condition for preparing EG-TiO2, the impregnated number of times is the most important factor to influence oil-adsorbing capability, that is, when the impregnated number of times increases, the amount of saturation-adsorbed oil decreases. The study of EG-TiO2 photocatalytic degradation of machine oil based on the weight-loss method and infrared spectrum method indicates that EG-TiO2 has obvious effect of photocatalytic degradation for machine oil. Its performance is superior to pure nanometer TiO2 powder because nanometer TiO2 in EG-TiO2 has three-dimension laminar structure and comparatively high adsorption capability. 展开更多

A new method of using nanometer TiO2as solid phase extractant coupled with ICP AES was proposed for speciation of rare earth elements.The adsorption behavior of rare earth complexes on nanometer TiO2was investigated.Effect of pH value,contact time,elution solution and interfering ions on the recovery of the rare earth complexes were studied.A quantitative recovery(>90%)was found in the pH range of 4~9.0 for Eu citric,4.5~9.0 for Eu oxine and Eu HIBA,and 6.5~9.0 for Eu3+.Eu EDTA can not be adsorbed in the pH range studied.There is large difference in the adsorption behavior on nanometer TiO2between rare earth element and its complexes.The possibility of application of nanometer TiO2on the speciation of rare earth element was explored. 展开更多

The reaction between nano-CaCO3 and MPTMS, and the grafting of PMMA onto nano-CaCO3 were confirmed by infrared spectrum. The grafting ratio and grafting efficiency of PMMA on nano-CaCO3 modified with MPTMS were much higher than that on nano-CaCO3 modified with stearic acid. The grafting ratio of PMMA increased as the weight ratio between MMA and nano-CaCO3 increased, while the grafting efficiency of PMMA decreased. Bismuth-doped tin dioxide nanometer powders were prepared by co-precipitation method using SnCl4 and Bi(NO3)3 as raw materials. The effects of calcining temperature and doping ratio on the particle size, composition, spectrum selectivity of bismuth-doped tin dioxide and the phase transition of Bi-Sn precursor at different temperatures were studied by means of X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, ultraviolet-visual-near infrared diffuse reflection spectrum and the thermogravimetric-differential scanning calorimetry. The results show that prepared bismuth-doped tin dioxide powders have excellent characteristics with a single-phase tetragonal structure, good dispersibility, good absorbency for ultraviolet ray and average particle size less than 10 nm. The optimum conditions for preparing bismuth-doped tin dioxide nanometer powders are as follows: calcining temperature of 600℃, ratio of bismuth-doped in a range of 0.10-0.30, and Bi-Sn precursor being dispersed by ultrasonic wave and refluxed azeotropic and distillated with mixture of n-butanol and benzene. The mechanism of phase transition of Bi-Sn precursor is that Bi 3+ enters Sn-vacancy and then forms Sn—O—Bi bond. 展开更多

A new nanometer material, nano-Al2O3 with carbon fibre as the carrier, was employed for the removal of Cd with low concentrations from polluted water. The characterization of the material was carried out by means of SEM and TEM. Batch adsorption and elution experiments were carried out to determine the adsorption properties of Cd on the new adsorbent. The classical Thomas model was applied to estimating the equilibrium coefficients of Cd adsorption and the saturated adsorption ability. The results show that the Thomas model is fit for describing the kinetic adsorption process, and the maximum adsorption capacity of the nanometer Al2O3/carbon is 69.29 mg/g. The resulting information also indicates that the desorption of Cd eluted with de-ionized water at a rate of 9.8 mL/min can be neglected. With the advantage of a high adsorption capacity for removing low concentration Cd, the Al2O3/carbon fibre possesses the potentiality to be an effective adsorbent for the removal of Cd from polluted water. 展开更多

The characterization was carried out with elemental analyses, ^1H NMR, UV-Vis, and IR spectrometries, and then the electrochemical properties of the porphyrins were studied. Effects of drying method on preparation of nanometer α-Al_2O_3 认领 引用 被引量:4

Ammonium aluminum carbonate hydroxide (AACH) precursor was synthesized by the precipitation reaction of aluminum sulfate and ammonium carbonate. Then the precursor was dealt with five drying methods including ordinary drying, alcohol exchange, vacuum freeze-drying, glycol distillation, n-butanol azeotropic distillation respectively and calcined at 1 200 ℃ for 2 h to get α-Al2O3. The effects of drying methods on preparation of nanometer α-Al2O3 were discussed, and the optimal drying method was confirmed. The structural properties of powders were characterized by XRD, SEM and BET measurements. The results show that vacuum freeze-drying, glycol distillation and n-butanol azeotropic distillation can prevent the powders from aggregating, and among them the n-butanol azeotropic distillation is the best method. The nanometer α-Al2O3 powder with non-aggregation can be manufactured using n-butanol azeotropic distillation and the average particle size is about 40 nm. 展开更多
