Successful ex situ conservation of plant populations requires a high degree of genetic representativeness.However,spatially biased sampling in ex situ conservation efforts may fail to capture all wild genetic clusters...Successful ex situ conservation of plant populations requires a high degree of genetic representativeness.However,spatially biased sampling in ex situ conservation efforts may fail to capture all wild genetic clusters for species with range-wide genetic structure.To investigate the extent of spatially biased sampling in living collections and the coverage of wild genetic clusters in plant populations under ex situ conservation worldwide,we combined a global synthesis of ex situ conservation efforts with a case study of an endangered riparian plant species,Myricaria laxiflora.Our analysis of ex situ conservation worldwide revealed that the majority(82.6%)of ex situ populations fail to cover all wild genetic clusters,largely due to spatially biased sampling with low geographic coverage.Our case study of M.laxiflora showed that genetic diversity differed between the ex situ and upstream populations,while it was comparable between ex situ populations and other wild populations.However,current ex situ populations did not cover all wild genetic clusters,as the upstream genetic cluster was previously uncollected.Our study suggests that the failure to cover all wild genetic clusters in ex situ populations is a widespread issue,and ex situ populations with high genetic diversity can also fail to cover all wild genetic clusters.In future ex situ conservation programs,both the importance of high genetic diversity and the high coverage of wild genetic clusters should be prioritized.展开更多

Objective This study aimed to determine the temporal trends in sleep duration among Chinese adults.Methods In this series of repeated nationally representative cross-sectional surveys(China Chronic Disease and Risk Fa...Objective This study aimed to determine the temporal trends in sleep duration among Chinese adults.Methods In this series of repeated nationally representative cross-sectional surveys(China Chronic Disease and Risk Factors Surveillance)conducted between 2010 and 2018,a total of 645,420 adult participants(97,741 in 2010;175,749 in 2013;187,777 in 2015;and 184,153 in 2018)were included in the trend analysis.Linear and logistic regression models were utilized to assess trends in sleep duration.Results In 2018,the estimated overall mean sleep duration among the Chinese adult population was7.58(SD,1.45)hours per day,with no significant trend from 2010.A significant increase in short sleep duration(≤6 hours)was observed in the total population,from 15.3%(95%CI:14.1%–16.5%)in 2010 to18.5%(95%CI:17.7%–19.3%)in 2018(P9 hours)was also significant,increasing in weighted prevalence from 7.2%(95%CI:6.3%–8.1%)in 2010 to 9.0%(95%CI:8.2%–9.9%)in 2018(P<0.001).Conclusion The prevalence of both short and long sleep durations significantly increased among Chinese adults from 2010 to 2018,highlighting the urgency of health initiatives to promote optimal sleep duration in China.展开更多

Introduction:Acute respiratory infections(ARI)represent a leading cause of hospitalization in early childhood and may increase the risk of subsequent wheezing/asthma.However,longitudinal evidence of this association a...Introduction:Acute respiratory infections(ARI)represent a leading cause of hospitalization in early childhood and may increase the risk of subsequent wheezing/asthma.However,longitudinal evidence of this association among Chinese children remains limited.Methods:A follow-up cohort was established using the Yichang Health Management Big Data Platform,including children born between January 1,2017,and December 31,2018,who were hospitalized for ARI.Kaplan–Meier curves were used to estimate the cumulative incidence of subsequent wheezing/asthma,with group differences evaluated using the log-rank test.Piecewise Cox proportional hazards regression models were employed to assess the magnitude and timing of risk by ARI type.Results:Among 22,460 children followed up for a median of 43.5 months,1,463 developed wheezing/asthma.Hospitalization for bronchiolitis or pneumonia was associated with a significantly higher risk of wheezing/asthma than that for upper respiratory infection or influenza(P<0.001),with excess risk concentrated in the first 2 years.During the 2 to<4 years period,only bronchiolitis remained significantly associated with subsequent wheezing/asthma[adjusted hazard ratio(aHR)=1.85,95%confidence interval(CI):1.32,2.58].Conclusion:Children hospitalized for bronchiolitis or pneumonia experienced increased subsequent wheezing/asthma,particularly within 2 years of discharge.Structured follow-up and symptom-based asthma screening after discharge are essential,particularly in children with bronchiolitis.展开更多
The mechanical behavior of nonwoven fabrics as reinforcement in cementitious composites remains insufficiently explored,particularly from a numerical modeling perspective,despite their growing interest as sustainable ...The mechanical behavior of nonwoven fabrics as reinforcement in cementitious composites remains insufficiently explored,particularly from a numerical modeling perspective,despite their growing interest as sustainable alternatives to conventional textiles.This study presents a simplified,engineering-oriented numerical modeling framework for reproducing the flexural mechanical response of cementitious composites reinforced with flax nonwoven fabric.Four-point bending(flexural)behavior of nonwoven fabric–reinforced cementitious composites was numerically simulated using ANSYS software.The model is developed using Finite Element Analysis(FEA)and incorporates a Representative Volume Element(RVE)approach to account for the heterogeneous fiber–matrix interaction.The required material properties were iteratively calibrated using existing experimental data for three composite configurations comprising 4,5,and 6 layers.The proposed model demonstrated agreement with experimental results within the investigated configurations,achieving normalized root mean square errors(nRMSE)of 5.2%,4.6%,and 2.07%for the respective configurations.Furthermore,correlations between material parameters and geometric factors were identified,providing preliminary insights for estimating model input properties from easily measurable variables.Finally,sensitivity analyses were performed to evaluate the influence of key geometric and material parameters on the structural response,offering valuable insights for the optimized design of nonwoven fabric-reinforced cementitious composites.展开更多
To improve the accuracy of event-based gait recognition,a method called voxel event graph neural network(VEGNN)is proposed.This method voxelizes the event stream and selects representative voxels as vertices of the gr...To improve the accuracy of event-based gait recognition,a method called voxel event graph neural network(VEGNN)is proposed.This method voxelizes the event stream and selects representative voxels as vertices of the graph.Then the edges are constructed based on spatio-temporal distance and temporal order constraints so that the event stream is constructed as a graph structure.Finally,a lightweight feature extraction network based on graph neural networks(GNNs)is used to efficiently capture spatio-temporal information and motion cues from the event graph.To evaluate our method,an event-based gait recognition dataset called Celex-Gait is created.Experimental results show that VEGNN achieves a gait recognition accuracy of 95.8%and 93.9%on the Celex-Gait dataset and the DVS128-Gait-Day dataset,respectively.Furthermore,compared to the state-of-the-art methods,VEGNN reduces the number of model parameters by 30%.This indicates that VEGNN achieves higher recognition accuracy with lower model complexity.展开更多

Accurately assessing the relationship between tree growth and climatic factors is of great importance in dendrochronology.This study evaluated the consistency between alternative climate datasets(including station and...Accurately assessing the relationship between tree growth and climatic factors is of great importance in dendrochronology.This study evaluated the consistency between alternative climate datasets(including station and gridded data)and actual climate data(fixed-point observations near the sampling sites),in northeastern China’s warm temperate zone and analyzed differences in their correlations with tree-ring width index.The results were:(1)Gridded temperature data,as well as precipitation and relative humidity data from the Huailai meteorological station,was more consistent with the actual climate data;in contrast,gridded soil moisture content data showed significant discrepancies.(2)Horizontal distance had a greater impact on the representativeness of actual climate conditions than vertical elevation differences.(3)Differences in consistency between alternative and actual climate data also affected their correlations with tree-ring width indices.In some growing season months,correlation coefficients,both in magnitude and sign,differed significantly from those based on actual data.The selection of different alternative climate datasets can lead to biased results in assessing forest responses to climate change,which is detrimental to the management of forest ecosystems in harsh environments.Therefore,the scientific and rational selection of alternative climate data is essential for dendroecological and climatological research.展开更多
Accurate accounting of terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage is essential for understanding how production, decay, and disturbance shape ecological function and resilience.However, few China-wide datasets explicitly re...Accurate accounting of terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage is essential for understanding how production, decay, and disturbance shape ecological function and resilience.However, few China-wide datasets explicitly resolve spatial heterogeneity in carbon density within terrestrial ecosystem types, resulting in systematic and location-dependent uncertainty. This study produced a 1-km-resolution, annually continuous carbon-storage dataset for China's terrestrial ecosystems from 2001 to 2020 using an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) framework, and projected the total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage in 2O30 under five Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP)-Representative Concentration Pathways(RCP) scenarios(SSP1-RCP2.6, SSP2-RCP4.5, SSP3-RCP7.0,SSP4-RCP3.4,and SSP5-RCP8.5). Multi-source remote sensing, land cover, biomass,and soil data were combined to estimate carbon storage in the four carbon pools (aboveground biomass carbon, belowground biomass carbon, soil organic carbon, and dead organic matter carbon) and across six land-use types (cropland, forestland, grassland,water body, built-up land, and unused land). Validation against national-scale estimates and outputs from the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Trade-offs (InVEST) model showed reasonable consistency in magnitude and spatial pattern,although systematic positive biases were observed in the InVEST-based estimates. The total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage increased from 78.42 Pg C in 2001 to 89.62 Pg C in 2011, then declined to 85.49 Pg C in 2020. Soil organic carbon was the dominant pool (53.8% of the total), while forestland and grassland together contributed 69.2% of the total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage. Under the SSP-RCP scenarios,China's total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage in 2030 was projected lowest under SSP1-RCP2.6 at 90.63 Pg C and highest under SSP2-RCP4.5 at 92.62 Pg C. These findings underscore the influence of policy and land-use changes under low- and medium-emission pathways,while extremely high-emission scenarios may show localized gains from ecological restoration. The dataset produced in this study provides a robust basis for carbon accounting, land-use policy, and ecosystem monitoring in China.展开更多

Coral reef limestone(CRL)constitutes a distinctive marine carbonate formation with complex mechanical properties.This study investigates the multiscale damage and fracture mechanisms of CRL through integrated experime...Coral reef limestone(CRL)constitutes a distinctive marine carbonate formation with complex mechanical properties.This study investigates the multiscale damage and fracture mechanisms of CRL through integrated experimental testing,digital core technology,and theoretical modelling.Two CRL types with contrasting mesostructures were characterized across three scales.Macroscopically,CRL-I and CRL-II exhibited mean compressive strengths of 8.46 and 5.17 MPa,respectively.Mesoscopically,CRL-I featured small-scale highly interconnected pores,whilst CRL-II developed larger stratified pores with diminished connectivity.Microscopically,both CRL matrices demonstrated remarkable similarity in mineral composition and mechanical properties.A novel voxel average-based digital core scaling methodology was developed to facilitate numerical simulation of cross-scale damage processes,revealing network-progressive failure in CRL-I versus directional-brittle failure in CRL-II.Furthermore,a damage statistical constitutive model based on digital core technology and mesoscopic homogenisation theory established quantitative relationships between microelement strength distribution and macroscopic mechanical behavior.These findings illuminate the fundamental mechanisms through which mesoscopic structure governs the macroscopic mechanical properties of CRL.展开更多

摘要Introduction:Acute respiratory infections(ARI)represent a leading cause of hospitalization in early childhood and may increase the risk of subsequent wheezing/asthma.However,longitudinal evidence of this association among Chinese children remains limited.Methods:A follow-up cohort was established using the Yichang Health Management Big Data Platform,including children born between January 1,2017,and December 31,2018,who were hospitalized for ARI.Kaplan–Meier curves were used to estimate the cumulative incidence of subsequent wheezing/asthma,with group differences evaluated using the log-rank test.Piecewise Cox proportional hazards regression models were employed to assess the magnitude and timing of risk by ARI type.Results:Among 22,460 children followed up for a median of 43.5 months,1,463 developed wheezing/asthma.Hospitalization for bronchiolitis or pneumonia was associated with a significantly higher risk of wheezing/asthma than that for upper respiratory infection or influenza(P<0.001),with excess risk concentrated in the first 2 years.During the 2 to<4 years period,only bronchiolitis remained significantly associated with subsequent wheezing/asthma[adjusted hazard ratio(aHR)=1.85,95%confidence interval(CI):1.32,2.58].Conclusion:Children hospitalized for bronchiolitis or pneumonia experienced increased subsequent wheezing/asthma,particularly within 2 years of discharge.Structured follow-up and symptom-based asthma screening after discharge are essential,particularly in children with bronchiolitis.

摘要The mechanical behavior of nonwoven fabrics as reinforcement in cementitious composites remains insufficiently explored,particularly from a numerical modeling perspective,despite their growing interest as sustainable alternatives to conventional textiles.This study presents a simplified,engineering-oriented numerical modeling framework for reproducing the flexural mechanical response of cementitious composites reinforced with flax nonwoven fabric.Four-point bending(flexural)behavior of nonwoven fabric–reinforced cementitious composites was numerically simulated using ANSYS software.The model is developed using Finite Element Analysis(FEA)and incorporates a Representative Volume Element(RVE)approach to account for the heterogeneous fiber–matrix interaction.The required material properties were iteratively calibrated using existing experimental data for three composite configurations comprising 4,5,and 6 layers.The proposed model demonstrated agreement with experimental results within the investigated configurations,achieving normalized root mean square errors(nRMSE)of 5.2%,4.6%,and 2.07%for the respective configurations.Furthermore,correlations between material parameters and geometric factors were identified,providing preliminary insights for estimating model input properties from easily measurable variables.Finally,sensitivity analyses were performed to evaluate the influence of key geometric and material parameters on the structural response,offering valuable insights for the optimized design of nonwoven fabric-reinforced cementitious composites.

摘要To improve the accuracy of event-based gait recognition,a method called voxel event graph neural network(VEGNN)is proposed.This method voxelizes the event stream and selects representative voxels as vertices of the graph.Then the edges are constructed based on spatio-temporal distance and temporal order constraints so that the event stream is constructed as a graph structure.Finally,a lightweight feature extraction network based on graph neural networks(GNNs)is used to efficiently capture spatio-temporal information and motion cues from the event graph.To evaluate our method,an event-based gait recognition dataset called Celex-Gait is created.Experimental results show that VEGNN achieves a gait recognition accuracy of 95.8%and 93.9%on the Celex-Gait dataset and the DVS128-Gait-Day dataset,respectively.Furthermore,compared to the state-of-the-art methods,VEGNN reduces the number of model parameters by 30%.This indicates that VEGNN achieves higher recognition accuracy with lower model complexity.

摘要Degenerative valvular heart disease(VHD)is one of the most prevalent cardiovascular conditions in the aging population,with aortic valve stenosis(AS)representing the largest and fastest-growing disease burden.1 AS is characterized by progressive valvular calcification and fibrosis,often developing silently over many years before the onset of clinical symptoms.To date,no pharmacological therapy has been shown to effectively prevent the development or slow the progression of AS,and surgical or transcatheter valve replacement remains the only definitive treatment.2,3 Furthermore,AS has long been regarded as an inevitable and largely non-preventable condition associated with aging.Therefore,identifying effective strategies for the primary prevention of AS remains a major unmet clinical and public health priority.

摘要The development of severe load spectrum is essential for evaluating the durability and damage tolerance of transport aircraft structure to ensure safety and economic viability.However,traditional methods have lacked consensus on severity selection and often distort load sequences,which undermines reliability in full-scale fatigue testing.This study introduces a novel framework for developing high-fidelity severe Flight-by-Flight(F-B-F)spectrum from measured fleet load data.Statistical modelling of load variations within a specific transport aircraft fleet is used to establish severe damage criteria.Subsequently,flight data meeting these criteria are extracted to develop a severe load spectrum that accurately reproduces the actual severe load sequences.The accuracy and reliability of the spectrum developed are validated through fatigue tests on 2024-T3 aluminum alloy specimens with a centered hole.This approach bridges the gap between severe damage quantification and spectrum development,providing a robust method for generating reliable severe F-B-F spectrum.

摘要Osteoclasts are essential for bone resorption and interact with osteoblasts during bone remodeling.Ion channels and transporters located in the ruffled border or intracellular vesicles coordinate the transport of various ions and substrates,which is fundamental to the primary functions of osteoclasts.Numerous channels and transporters are implicated in bone metabolic disorders and genetic diseases.Among these,the voltage-gated chloride channel 7(ClC-7)and vacuolar proton ATPases(VATPase)represent the most well-characterized examples in osteoclasts.

摘要Accurately assessing the relationship between tree growth and climatic factors is of great importance in dendrochronology.This study evaluated the consistency between alternative climate datasets(including station and gridded data)and actual climate data(fixed-point observations near the sampling sites),in northeastern China’s warm temperate zone and analyzed differences in their correlations with tree-ring width index.The results were:(1)Gridded temperature data,as well as precipitation and relative humidity data from the Huailai meteorological station,was more consistent with the actual climate data;in contrast,gridded soil moisture content data showed significant discrepancies.(2)Horizontal distance had a greater impact on the representativeness of actual climate conditions than vertical elevation differences.(3)Differences in consistency between alternative and actual climate data also affected their correlations with tree-ring width indices.In some growing season months,correlation coefficients,both in magnitude and sign,differed significantly from those based on actual data.The selection of different alternative climate datasets can lead to biased results in assessing forest responses to climate change,which is detrimental to the management of forest ecosystems in harsh environments.Therefore,the scientific and rational selection of alternative climate data is essential for dendroecological and climatological research.
摘要Accurate accounting of terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage is essential for understanding how production, decay, and disturbance shape ecological function and resilience.However, few China-wide datasets explicitly resolve spatial heterogeneity in carbon density within terrestrial ecosystem types, resulting in systematic and location-dependent uncertainty. This study produced a 1-km-resolution, annually continuous carbon-storage dataset for China's terrestrial ecosystems from 2001 to 2020 using an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) framework, and projected the total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage in 2O30 under five Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP)-Representative Concentration Pathways(RCP) scenarios(SSP1-RCP2.6, SSP2-RCP4.5, SSP3-RCP7.0,SSP4-RCP3.4,and SSP5-RCP8.5). Multi-source remote sensing, land cover, biomass,and soil data were combined to estimate carbon storage in the four carbon pools (aboveground biomass carbon, belowground biomass carbon, soil organic carbon, and dead organic matter carbon) and across six land-use types (cropland, forestland, grassland,water body, built-up land, and unused land). Validation against national-scale estimates and outputs from the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Trade-offs (InVEST) model showed reasonable consistency in magnitude and spatial pattern,although systematic positive biases were observed in the InVEST-based estimates. The total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage increased from 78.42 Pg C in 2001 to 89.62 Pg C in 2011, then declined to 85.49 Pg C in 2020. Soil organic carbon was the dominant pool (53.8% of the total), while forestland and grassland together contributed 69.2% of the total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage. Under the SSP-RCP scenarios,China's total terrestrial ecosystem carbon storage in 2030 was projected lowest under SSP1-RCP2.6 at 90.63 Pg C and highest under SSP2-RCP4.5 at 92.62 Pg C. These findings underscore the influence of policy and land-use changes under low- and medium-emission pathways,while extremely high-emission scenarios may show localized gains from ecological restoration. The dataset produced in this study provides a robust basis for carbon accounting, land-use policy, and ecosystem monitoring in China.

摘要Coral reef limestone(CRL)constitutes a distinctive marine carbonate formation with complex mechanical properties.This study investigates the multiscale damage and fracture mechanisms of CRL through integrated experimental testing,digital core technology,and theoretical modelling.Two CRL types with contrasting mesostructures were characterized across three scales.Macroscopically,CRL-I and CRL-II exhibited mean compressive strengths of 8.46 and 5.17 MPa,respectively.Mesoscopically,CRL-I featured small-scale highly interconnected pores,whilst CRL-II developed larger stratified pores with diminished connectivity.Microscopically,both CRL matrices demonstrated remarkable similarity in mineral composition and mechanical properties.A novel voxel average-based digital core scaling methodology was developed to facilitate numerical simulation of cross-scale damage processes,revealing network-progressive failure in CRL-I versus directional-brittle failure in CRL-II.Furthermore,a damage statistical constitutive model based on digital core technology and mesoscopic homogenisation theory established quantitative relationships between microelement strength distribution and macroscopic mechanical behavior.These findings illuminate the fundamental mechanisms through which mesoscopic structure governs the macroscopic mechanical properties of CRL.
