SLs improve plant stress resilience by modulating shoot and root architecture, photosynthesis, nutrient homeostasis, and antioxidant defense. Under nutrient deficiency, SL accumulation enhances AMF colonization and triggers the expression of genes related to the nutrient starvation response. When subjected to drought, SLs mitigate water loss by modulating stomatal density and closure, cell membrane integrity, and anthocyanin biosynthesis. SLs also mitigate salinity and heavy metal stresses by maintaining ion homeostasis, while conferring thermotolerance and enhancing chilling tolerance. In this review, we highlight recent advances in SLs and their mechanisms in plant responses to environmental stresses, including nutrient deficiencies, drought, salinity, extreme temperatures, metal toxicity, herbivore attack, and pathogen infection. We further discuss how SLs interact with other phytohormones to coordinate the physiological, biochemical, and molecular regulatory events critical for plant acclimation to abiotic and biotic stresses.展开更多

摘要This study presents a hybrid methodology for predicting building collapses within the Intelligent Circular Resilience(ICR)framework. This uses a supervised Machine Learning(ML)approach, earthquake damage re-ports,and the Simplified Resilience Index(SRI),derived from existing earthquake damage models(EDM)-based on fragility and vulnerability functions-used in the probabilistic seismic risk assessment(PSRA).A curated building damage database comprising 89 structures(71 collapsed and 18 non-collapsed)from ten countries affected by major earthquakes(Mw 6.1-8.1,epicentral distances of 3-125 km,and PGA values ranging from 0.14 g to 0.82 g)was developed, including attributes related to exposure:occupancy, main structural material, number of stories, construction year, and hazard:magnitude, epicentral distance, intensity measures(Peak-ground acceleration,PGA,and elastic spectral acceleration). The dataset includes events such as the 2017 Puebla-Morelos earthquake(Mw 7.1,Mexico),the 1999 Kocaeli earthquake(Mw 7.6,Turkey),and the 2011 Christchurch earthquake(Mw 6.1,New Zealand),among others.Likewise, dependent attributes such as time elapsed and SRI(under 120-,180-,and 365-day recovery scenarios)were calculated using 2-EDMs.Eight Random Forest models were trained and tested for collapse and non-collapse classification using combinations of independent and dependent attributes. The results indicate that models incorporating exposure-related varia-bles-such as structural material, number of stories, construction year, and occupancy-alongside the SRI significantly improve collapse classification performance, achieving recall and F1 scores above 95%.Notably,many collapsed buildings exhibited low intensities(PGA≤0.25 g),emphasizing the influence of local site effects-particularly in Mexico City. The findings demonstrate that incorporating SRI enhances the reliability of collapse prediction and supports its use as an interpretable resilience proxy during early ICR stages. This hybrid methodology bridges empirical data, traditional PSRA models, and ML techniques, contributing to more accurate and scalable post-earthquake resilience assessments.

摘要Native and exotic mangrove trees are increasingly challenged by the synergistic pressures of climate change, yet the mechanisms defining their comparative resilience remain unresolved. This study characterizes a fundamental resilience dichotomy by analyzing a two-decade(1999-2019)dataset of litterfall biomass from a subtropical mangrove forest.Integrating causal screening with non-linear machine-learning approaches,we quantified how native(Avicennia marina,Kandelia obovata)and exotic(Sonneratia apetala,S.caseolaris)species partition carbon allocation in response to climatic and tidal extremes. Our results reveal that native species adopt a resistance-oriented strategy, prioritizing canopy structural persistence during wind and tidal anomalies;however, this stability is maintained at the cost of significantly suppressed reproductive output. In contrast, exotic species showed a compensatory-oriented strategy, characterized by accelerated leaf turnover under storms and high-temperature extremes, while maintaining stable reproductive continuity to ensure sustained function under ongoing stress.Notably, the increasing frequency of extremes triggers non-linear thresholds, leading to a func-tional decoupling between canopy maintenance and recruitment potential, particularly among native pop-ulations.This divergence provides a mechanistic basis for predicting shifts in ecosystem stability and underscores the importance of incorporating species-specific resilience traits into long-term conservation and management planning under intensifying climate volatility.

摘要Perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS)is a dominant per-and polyfluoroalkyl substance(PFAS)at aqueous film-forming foam-impacted sites, yet its specific inhibitory effect on reductive dechlorination of trichloroethene(TCE)remains poorly understood. We investigated TCE dechlorination in a Dehalococcoides(Dhc)and Dehalogenimonas(Dhg)-containing consortium under PFOS stress(20-100 mg/L).While the initial TCE dechlorination rates decreased with increasing PFOS concentrations, the final step of vinyl chloride dechlorination to ethene remained largely unaffected.Microbial community analysis revealed that Dhc and Acetobacterium exhibited greater resilience to 100 mg/L PFOS than Dhg and Clostridium_sensu_stricto_7,with alpha diversity significantly reduced at 100 mg/L PFOS.PFOS,but not perfluorooctanoic acid, was identified as the primary inhibitor of TCE dechlorination.Metagenomic sequencing identified two PFOS-tolerant Dhc strains(THU3 and THU4)that harbored specific reductive dehalogenase genes(vcrA and tceA).Our findings demonstrate the functional resilience of Dhc and its potential as a key agent for bioremediation at PFAS-co-contaminated sites.

摘要Strigolactones (SLs) are a group of phytohormones that enhance hyphal branching of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), promote seed germination of parasitic plants, and influence plant growth, development, and stress acclimation. We further discuss how SLs interact with other phytohormones to coordinate the physiological, biochemical, and molecular regulatory events critical for plant acclimation to abiotic and biotic stresses.

摘要The digital transformation of territorial spatial planning has underscored the urgent need to integrate ecological network into spatial planning practices. In response,we developed two innovative new tools, the Ecological Linkage Tool(ELT)and the Relative Spatial Conflict Index(RSCI),to enhance ecological networks applications by addressing spatial conflicts and structural resilience. The ELT identified ecological corridors within and outside irregular ecological sources, activation points, and stepping stones in parallel, and then constructed an intact ecological network.By integrating the RSCI and complex network metrics, the spatial conflicts and structural resilience were evaluated. The framework was implemented in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Yulin(HBOY)urban agglomeration, identifying a total of 5,814 corridors,of which 67%were classified as intra-patch and 33%as inter-patch.The number and distribution of these corridors were determined by the size and shape of the ecological sources, and the connectivity of intra-patch corridors was 34%higher than inter-patch corridors.According to the RSCI,60%of the corridors experienced spatial conflicts, with 21%involving production spaces or composite production-related conflicts. Moreover,Yulin served as a key hub in the ecological network, and Baotou had the highest network efficiency.Compound conflict corridors(involving production, living, and open spaces)had a greater impact on overall ecological network efficiency compared to those with single or dual conflicts.Meanwhile, the failure of 40%of corridors without spatial conflicts would directly result in a 96.9%decline in network efficiency, highlighting their critical role in maintaining network functionality. This study provides an enhanced ecological network application solution for the China Spatial Planning Observation Network(CSPON),supporting spatial planning practices.

摘要Great Lakes Regions(GLRs)in China often confront landscape fragmentation, wetland degradation, and ecological resilience(ER)losses owing to extensive and intensive urbanization. In GLRs,however, the ER responses to urbanization remain unclear. This study explored the spatiotemporal evolution of ER and urbanization in five GLRs in China to analyze the ER dynamic patterns along center−lakeside−periphery gradient. The Spatial Durbin Model(SDM)and Panel Threshold Model(PTM)were combined to reveal the spillover and threshold effects of urbanization in five GLRs.The results indicate that the ER in five GLRs declined with a rate of 21%from 2000 to 2020.There was a clear“center-periphery”contraction trend with low ER areas primarily spreading to human activity-concentrated regions such as lakesides, riversides, and road networks.Driven by economic and land urbanization, the average urbanization level increased from 0.06 to 0.13,where lakesides, riversides, and road networks were key areas undergoing expansion. The urbanization showed a noticeable negative spatial spillover effect on ER.Away from central lakes, the negative impacts on ER exhibited a two-phase decrease with the threshold of 81 km.This study contributes to the understanding of human-environment interactions by examining the ecological resilience response process of GLRs under the impact of urbanization.Based on a multidimensional“center−lakeside−periphery”analytical model, this study provides a strategic framework for ecological construction in GLRs in China, promoting sustainable development and adaptive capacity in vulnerable areas.

摘要Ecological resilience—defined as the capacity of ecosystems to withstand perturbations—is an important dimension of ecosystem stability. However, the spatial patterns and underlying drivers of resilience in forests relative to grasslands remain poorly understood.Using a temporal autocorrelation index(AC1)derived from satellite-based vegetation indices,we assessed high-resolution(250 m)vegetation resilience from 2000 to 2020 across China's natural terrestrial vegetation. We found that vegetation in forest-dominated regions was more resilient than in grassland-dominated regions, with divergent associations to climate, vegetation, soil, topography, and human drivers.Specifically, forest resilience was primarily associated with climate variables, with path analysis indicating a potential indirect link through vegetation characteristics.By contrast, grassland resilience was strongly related to soil and topographic properties.Particularly, among the climate variables examined,long-term warm drought condition, represented by the negative of Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index(SPEI),generally showed spatial negative associations with resilience, especially in temperate steppe and subtropical forest regions.Notably, the resilience of cold forests and high-altitude grasslands showed weaker or even positive relationship with warm droughts. These findings highlight the threats posed by ongoing climate change to vegetation resilience, and emphasize the need for ecosystem-specific strategies to enhance resilience in the future.

摘要Seismic resilience(SR)has emerged as a critical focus in earthquake engineering to evaluate the ability of structures to endure, recover from, and adapt to seismic events. This study presents an entropy-based multicriteria approach for selecting optimal intensity measures(IMs)to assess SR of structures.Eight representative IMs,derived from time histories and response spectrum are evaluated.Incremental dynamic analysis is con-ducted on a reinforced concrete structure, using engineering demand parameters such as the maximum interstory drift and floor acceleration to generate fragility curves via a probabilistic seismic demand model. The optimal IMs are identified through a multi-criteria decision-making process, with scores calculated using the entropy weight method to incorporate factors such as efficiency, proficiency, and uncertainty based on infor-mation entropy. An effective SR framework is derived from fragility results. The findings indicate that peak ground velocity and spectral IMs are the most effective, while energy-related IMs underestimate SR.The study highlights the importance of optimizing IMs for more accurate seismic resilience assessments. The proposed entropy-based multi-criteria approach is shown to be both reliable and effective for selecting optimal IMs in this context.

摘要Objectives:Although standardized residency trainees are at high risk for depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, the psychological pathways connecting depression and anxiety to suicidal ideation, especially the moderating role of resilience, remain elusive. This study aimed to examine the associations between depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation among physicians undergoing standardized residency training, and to investigate the moderating roles of different dimensions of individual resilience, namely tenacity, strength, and optimism. Methods:A convenience sampling method was adopted to recruit 133 resident physicians.Validated instruments assessing individual resilience, depressive symptoms, anxiety levels, and suicidal ideation were administered.Spearman correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationships among the variables.Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to assess the moderating roles of tenacity, strength, and optimism in the associations between depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Results:Depressive symptoms and anxiety levels were both positively associated with suicidal ideation(p<0.001).All three resilience dimensions were negatively correlated with suicidal ideation(tenacity:r=−0.504,strength:r=−0.477,optimism:r=−0.440,all p<0.001).Tenacity,strength,and optimism significantly moderated the associations between depression and suicidal ideation(all p<0.05).When resilience levels in these dimensions were high, the associations between depression and suicidal ideation were weaker.Strength and optimism also moderated the associations between anxiety and suicidal ideation(strength:p=0.028,optimism:p=0.028).When the resiliences(strength and optimism)were high, the associations between anxiety and suicidal ideation were weaker. Conclusion:Individual resilience, particularly in the dimensions of tenacity, strength, and optimism, may serve as protective correlates for physicians in training, being associated with weaker relationships between depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. These findings highlight the potential value of resilience-enhancing strategies in clinical training settings, although causal inferences cannot be drawn due to the cross-sectional design.

摘要The global value chain(GVC)is a central driver of the international division of labor and a critical lens for understanding global economic dynamics. This study constructs a long-term GVC network dataset using multi-regional input-output(MRIO)tables and input-output analysis techniques.By integrating advanced network analysis algorithms, this study characterizes the macrostructure and spatiotemporal evolution of the GVC network, examines its topological features, and evaluates the evolution of its structural resilience. The main findings are as follows:(1)Value flows among major economies form a hierarchical structure, and value distribution is highly uneven across space. The GVC network has expanded and densified over time, with rising value flows in East Asia, evolving from a dual-center structure centered on Europe and North America to a tri-polar structure comprising Europe,North America, and East Asia.(2)The core-periphery structure of the GVC network is pronounced, and a node’s position is determined by both the scale of its participation and the diversification of its value linkages.(3)The backbone structure of the GVC network has shifted from a single core centered on the United States to a dual-core system led by China and the United States, while Europe and Japan provide stabilizing support.Over time, the backbone structure has evolved with a trend of eastward shift and increasing globalization characteristics.(4)Overall resilience of the GVC network is limited and follows a four-stage evolutionary trajectory, with major international shocks serving as turning points. These findings elucidate the node and structural characteristics of the GVC network, contributing to a deeper understanding of global economic dynamics and the process of economic globalization.

摘要The energy transition inspired by carbon neutrality targets and the increasing threat of extreme events raise multi-objective development requirements for power systems. This paper proposes a multi-objective resource allocation model to determine the type, number and location of flexible resources to increase the values of resilience, carbon reduction and renewable energy consumption. To evaluate the values of resilience,a restoration model for transmission systems is established that considers the coordination of fossil-fuel generators, energy storage systems(ESSs)and renewable energy generators in building restoration paths. The collaborative power-carbon-tradable green certificate(TGC)market model is then applied to evaluate the resource values in terms of carbon reduction and renewable energy consumption. Finally, the model is formulated as a mixed-integer linear programming(MILP)with a nonconvex feasible domain, and the normalized normal constraint(NNC)method is applied to obtain approximate Pareto frontiers for decision makers.Case studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed model in improving multi-factor values and analyze the impact of resource regulation capacity on values of restoration and carbon reduction.
摘要Deployment of integrated energy system is conducive to improving energy efficiency and achieving the transformation of the global energy system. However, recent appearance of extreme natural disasters poses a great challenge to the safe and stable operation of the integrated energy system. Therefore, the resilience of the integrated energy system, namely the ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to and recover to normal state,is to be enhanced urgently. This paper proposes a master-slave optimization model for the resilience enhancement of integrated energy system in the integrated stage of disaster response and post-disaster recovery,in view of the strong correlation between the two stages. The master model develops the optimal fault repair plan, and the sub model determines the optimal energy supply recovery scheme.Based on the master-slave model, which adopts the repair and operation state of the component as coupling variables,a coordinated optimization framework is constructed. Then, the master-slave model is merged into a two-stage robust optimization model for iterative solution in order to develop the optimal fault repair strategy and energy supply recovery scheme of the integrated energy system, enhancing its resilience in the integrated stage of disaster response and post-disaster recovery.

摘要Under the increasingly tight constraints of resources and environment, achieving the coordinated advancement of urbanization and ecological protection has become a core issue for regional sustainable development in the new era. This study develops a dual-dimensional urbanization evaluation system incorporating both population and economic indicators, and integrates a comprehensive ecological resilience assessment framework based on size, density, and morphology to analyze the spatiotemporal evolution and coordination between urbanization and ecological resilience in Quanzhou’s districts from 2018 to 2022.The results reveal a distinct spatial pattern in which urbanization levels are lower in central areas and higher in peripheral regions.Licheng District demonstrates the highest urbanization level with an average value of 0.78,while Luojiang District remains at the lowest level, constrained by economic development factors.Regarding ecological resilience,Luojiang District exhibits a highlevel model of“high size resilience-medium density resilience-high morphology resilience.”In contrast,Fengze District exhibits the poorest resilience with a significant 29.74%decline over the five years. The coordination analysis reveals a spatial configuration characterized by imbalance in central districts and better coordination in peripheral areas.Licheng District achieves optimal coordination through enhanced density resilience.Quangang District maintains basic coordination despite a 7.47%decline,which is influenced by energy-intensive industries. Both Luojiang and Fengze Districts experience severe coordination imbalances, with Luojiang constrained by urbanization delays and Fengze suffering from poor performance across all three resilience dimensions under intensive development pressure. The study reveals the intrinsic mechanism underlying the coordinated development of urbanization and ecological resilience. The findings provide a scientific basis for formulating differentiated development strategies in economically developed coastal areas, offering significant reference value for promoting high-quality regional development and ecological civilization construction.
摘要Self-compassion is an important psychological resource that improves health-related quality of life and diabetes self-management;however,the psychological processes underlying these associations remain unclear. This study examined the roles of meaning in life and resilience in the relationship between self-compassion and both health-related quality of life and diabetes self-management.Participants were 301 individuals living with type 2 diabetes(176(58.5%)females,M age=49.69,SD=12.36)conveniently selected from two tertiary healthcare institutions in Nigeria. They completed self-report measures of self-compassion,meaning in life,resilience,health-related quality of life and diabetes selfmanagement.Multiple regression analyses indicated that self-compassion positively predicted health-related quality of life and diabetes self-management.Meaning in life and resilience independently and positively predicted health-related quality of life and diabetes self-management.Mediation analysis showed that meaning in life mediated the association between self-compassion and health-related quality of life,as well as diabetes self-management.Likewise,resilience mediated the connection between self-compassion and health-related quality of life, and diabetes self-management behaviour.Intervention for diabetes self-management should focus on promoting self-compassion,meaning in life and resilience abilities of patients,as they can potentially improve health and self-care behaviours needed for recovery.

摘要Objectives:Psychological resilience is a critical resource for vocational high school students navigating social biases and fostering mental well-being.This six-month longitudinal study investigated the developmental trajectories of discrimination perception, vocational identity, and psychological resilience in this population. It further examined the longitudinal mediating role of vocational identity in the relationship between discrimination perception and psychological resilience. Methods:A total of 526 students from five vocational high schools in Guangdong,China, were assessed via convenience sampling at two time points:baseline(T1,September 2023)and six-month follow-up(T2,March 2024).Measures of discrimination perception, psychological resilience, and vocational identity were administered.Data were analyzed using a cross-lagged panel model to test for bidirectional relationships. Results:Over the six-month period, students showed significant decreases in discrimination perception and vocational identity, but a significant increase in psychological resilience. The cross-lagged model revealed significant bidirectional relationships:discrimination perception and psychological resilience negatively predicted each other over time(β=−0.124,p<0.01;β=−0.200,p<0.001),while psychological resilience and vocational identity positively predicted each other(β=0.084,p<0.05;β=0.076,p<0.05).The mediation analysis revealed a dual-pathway mechanism.T1 discrimination perception exerted both a significant direct negative effect on T2 psychological resilience(β=−0.332,p<0.001)and a significant indirect positive effect via T1 vocational identity(indirect effect=0.020,95%CI[0.001,0.046]).This confirms a partial mediating role, indicating that vocational identity functions as a compensatory mechanism, transforming the experience of discrimination perception into a potential source of psychological resilience. Conclusions:For vocational high school students, perception of discrimination directly undermines psychological resilience, but also indirectly fosters it through the positive development of vocational identity. These findings highlight vocational identity as a pivotal mechanism in the complex relationship between social adversity and mental resilience.

摘要Enhancing farmers’self-development capacity. Is critical to mitigating the risk of large-scale poverty relapse.Drawing on three-wave panel data from the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)covering 2015-2019,this study employs two-way fixed effects and quantile regression models to examine the impact of digital financial literacy on the economic resilience of rural households.A mediation model is further applied to explore the mechanisms underlying this relationship, with particular attention to risk preferences and the adoption of digital technologies. The findings demonstrate that higher levels of digital financial literacy substantially strengthen household economic resilience.Although positive effects are evident across all quantiles, the marginal impact decreases as resilience levels rise. Both risk preferences and the adoption of digital technologies serve as key mediators in this relationship.Heterogeneity analyses indicate that digital financial literacy indirectly enhances household resilience by increasing farmers’risk tolerance and facilitating digital technology adoption, with these effects being particularly pronounced among households with higher educational attainment and those located in central and western China.Consequently, policy interventions should focus on accelerating the development of digital and financial infrastructure in rural areas, improving the design and delivery of digital financial literacy programs, and encouraging active engagement in digital financial markets to strengthen safeguards against poverty relapse.
