Sustainable workplace safety: evidence-informed priorities for urgent cross-sector action 认领 引用

Background:Workplace safety faces mounting strain from intersecting pressures,while serious harm persists in high-risk sectors.These shifts can weaken accountability and amplify new risk pathways,creating an urgent need for cross-sector,prevention-focused actions that are equitable and robust amid uncertainty.Objective:This review aimed to identify and prioritise urgent,cross-sector actions to strengthen sustainable workplace safety amid climate change,psychosocial harm,technological transformation,and fragmented or nonstandard employment.Methods:An evidence-informed scoping review synthesised peer-reviewed and grey literature and incorporated stakeholder input.Transparent inclusion criteria and pragmatic evidence weighting were used to distinguish empirical evidence from standards and guidance.Priorities were set using explicit criteria,including harm severity,exposure prevalence,urgency,feasibility,time-to-impact,equity impacts,stakeholder consensus,and robustness under uncertainty.Results:Evidence indicated persistent serious harm in high-risk sectors,growing psychosocial injury burdens,intensifying climate-related exposures,and emerging risks linked to digitalisation,human-robot interaction,and non-standard work(including gig/platform labour),where incentive structures can amplify unsafe behaviour,particularly under extreme heat.Ten priorities were identified:embed Occupational Health and Safety in governance and incentives;strengthen worker voice,equity and inclusion;design out hazards;prevent psychosocial harm aligned with International standard organization 45003;build data,learning and a just culture;improve climate-and environment-ready safety;ensure ethical digitalisation/automation with privacy and bias safeguards;protect Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and supply chains(including"International standard organization 45001-lite"pathways);strengthen competency and lifelong learning;and improve management of transitions and fatigue.Conclusion:Sustainable safety requires a shift from lagging-indicator management to governance-and designled prevention,climate adaptation,psychosocial risk control,ethical technology governance,and equity-centred collaboration to reduce serious harm. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Nucleosideucleotide analogs are currently the core drugs for antiviral treatment of chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Among them,entecavir(ETV)and tenofovir alafenamide fumarate(TAF)exhibit potent antiviral effects with low resistance rates and are recommended as first-line treatment regimens in domestic and international guidelines.AIM To evaluate bone and renal safety in patients with CHB receiving initial treatment with TAF or ETV.METHODS This study included 95 treatment-naive patients with CHB and were treated at the Infectious Diseases Department of Henan Provincial People’s Hospital from August 2019 to June 2020.They were assigned to either the TAF group(n=45,25 mg/day)or the ETV group(n=50,0.5 mg/day)according to the antiviral treatment plan.Patients’basic clinical data were collected.Their bone mineral density,bone-related markers,and various renal function indicators were also measured and compared.RESULTS The study cohort had a mean age of 41.01±11.67 years and a cirrhosis prevalence of 18.9%.At baseline,serum Ca(2.33±0.13 vs 2.30±0.15,t=0.935,P=0.352),serum P(1.12±0.21 vs 1.12±0.19,t=0.026,P=0.980),and 25-hydroxyvitamin D3[25(OH)D](22.67±7.98 vs 24.96±11.30,t=1.122,P=0.265)were comparable across groups.When the follow-up was extended to 96W,the abnormality rates of urinary A1M(4.4%vs 20.0%,χ2=5.193,P=0.023),N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase(6.7%vs 24.0%,χ2=5.352,P=0.021),and urine cystatin(4.4%vs 18.0%,χ2=4.251,P=0.039)exhibited marked between-group differences.CONCLUSION For patients with CHB on long-term nucleoside drug use,comprehensive monitoring of bone and renal safety should be conducted as treatment duration increases.In this study,TAF outperforms ETV in renal tubular safety after long-term application. 展开更多

Pedestrian safety remains a major challenge in rapidly motorizing cities,particularly in low-and middle-income countries where mixed traffic conditions complicate pedestrian–vehicle interactions.Pedestrian refuge islands are widely implemented to facilitate staged crossings on multi-lane roads,yet empirical evidence on their effectiveness in such environments remains limited.This study evaluates pedestrian refuge islands in Ho Chi Minh City using an integrated assessment framework that combines technical design compliance,expert road-safety audits,and pedestrian perception surveys.Twenty pedestrian refuge island locations constructed between 2018 and 2024 were examined across different roadway contexts,including twelve urban and eight suburban sites.The integrated assessment results show effectiveness scores ranging from 63 to 76 points,with an average of approximately 70 points on a 100-point scale.Survey findings indicate that 65%of respondents recognized improvements in crossing conditions,while 35%reported no clear change or remained uncertain about the treatment's impact.The results suggest that pedestrian refuge islands can improve pedestrian crossing conditions,but their effectiveness depends strongly on design quality,visibility,maintenance,and interactions with surrounding traffic. 展开更多

With the increasing demand for high-energy-density lithium ion batteries,it has become increasingly imperative to address the safety concerns associated with batteries.At present,the design of flame-retardant electrolytes has been widely studied.However,most strategies lack the discussion of battery-level safety,and have only conducted primary safety tests such as ignition.In this situation,it is necessary to analyze the intrinsic link between flame-retardant electrolytes and battery safety.This paper elucidates the role of flame-retardant electrolytes in the thermal runaway process of batteries and proposes a strategy to enhance the safety of batteries from the aspect of electrolytes.Then the thermal,electrochemical and interfacial stability characteristics of different flame-retardant electrolytes are analyzed in detail based on their structures,and the basic principles for the design of their solvent structures are pointed out to enhance electrochemical performance.Furthermore,a prospective summary of safety characterization at the material and battery level is presented,aiming to build a comprehensive battery safety characterization system.This review provides insights into the design of flame-retardant electrolytes for high safety batteries. 展开更多

Process safety management level evaluation is a key tool for identifying risks and hazards and improving accident prevention.Accident rates can be reduced by objectively assessing compliance and management gaps.The current chemical enterprise process safety management level assessment methods rely on post-accident data and subjective judgment of experts.This method lacks foresight,the system is incomplete,and the results of safety integrity is dificult to be quantified.An approach for constructing key performance indicators(KPIs)that fuses incident data with expert knowledge is proposed.Accident topics are mined through latent dirichlet allocation(LDA).Decision making trial and evaluation laboratory-interpretive structural modeling(DEMATEL-ISM)is used to construct elemental causal networks.A semantic mapping-based filtering model for highly relevant metrics has been developed.The cloud model is used for the final quantitative evaluation of the safety level of the organization.An assessment of the safety integrity level of a large refining company is used to study the performance of this model.The results show that the method can effectively identify management weaknesses,and the quantitative assessment results are highly consistent with the actual grade,realizing an automated assessment process. 展开更多

Evolution of safety risks during battery degradation:Mechanisms and implications 认领 引用

Degradation and safety are the fundamental imperatives of batteries,tightly intertwined and inseparable.Only by understanding the coupled mechanisms of degradation and thermal runaway(TR)can we gain control over battery safety across the entire lifecycle.In this work,we investigate commercial 20 Ah NCM/graphite pouch cells subjected to low-temperature and fast-charging coupled protocols,and track how their degradation from the beginning of life(BOL)to the end of life(EOL)reshapes TR behavior.By combining electrochemical diagnostics with multi-scale post-mortem characterization,adiabatic TR tests on full cells,electrode-level differential scanning calorimetry and post-TR gas chromatography,we build a stage-resolved framework that links interfacial composition,lithium plating and structural damage to changes in TR onset,heat release and gas composition.The results reveal a clear degradation critical point at around 90%remaining capacity,at which the dominant degradation mode shifts from mild loss of lithium inventory to lithium-plating-driven accelerated aging with pronounced interface reconstruction,leading to reduced T1/T2,stronger low-temperature anode exotherms and a transition from CO2-dominated to H2–and hydrocarbon-rich vented gases.Notably,loss of active material already initiates in the BOL→CP stage,although capacity fade remains predominantly governed by loss of lithium inventory.With further degradation towards EOL,superposed interfacial thickening,cathode cracking and loss of active material further narrow the safety margin and increase TR severity relative to the remaining energy.This work provides a concise mechanistic link between specific degradation signatures and TR metrics,offering practical guidance for defining aging-aware safety envelopes and designing lowtemperature fast-charging/discharging strategies for energy storage systems. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The anesthesia recovery period after gastrointestinal surgery is a critical stage with a high risk of hypothermia,agitation,infusion failure,and other adverse events.Delayed or incomplete transfer of key information during handover may result in missed risks,inappropriate management,and compromised patient safety.Current handover practices vary widely and lack standardized,quantifiable indicators tailored to gastrointestinal surgery.This study was conducted to address these gaps by developing and validating a structured safety handover management system.The hypothesis was that a standardized indicator-based system would improve handover quality and reduce postoperative adverse events.AIM To construct and validate a safety handover indicator system for patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery in the anesthesia recovery period.METHODS This observational study included 500 patients recovering from gastrointestinal surgery at a tertiary hospital from June 2024 to June 2025.A preliminary handover indicator system was developed through literature review,semi-structured interviews,and Delphi consultation.Indicator weights were determined using the analytic hierarchy process.The system was applied to 250 patients and compared with 250 patients receiving conventional handover.Outcomes included handover time,omission rate,complication incidence,adverse events,and staff satisfaction.Statistical analysis used χ2 and t-tests.RESULTS Expert engagement in both Delphi rounds was 100%,with authority coefficients of 0.87 and 0.89,respectively.Kendall's harmony coefficient increased from 0.216 to 0.331(both P<0.01).The final system comprised three firstlevel,12 second-level,and 38 third-level indicators.Compared with the control group,the experimental group showed longer handover time but markedly lower omission rate.Rates of hypothermia,agitation,and infusion failure were significantly reduced(all P<0.05),and staff satisfaction scores were higher across all dimensions(P<0.001).CONCLUSION The validated safety handover system standardizes postoperative transfer in gastrointestinal surgery,reduces errors and adverse events,and enhances patient safety and workflow efficiency,supporting its suitability for clinical implementation. 展开更多

Cadmium(Cd)contamination in agricultural soils poses significant environmental and health risks due to its nondegradable and bio-magnifying nature.With the global imperative for eco-friendly Cd remediation strategies,microbial bioremediation emerges as a promising approach.Here,Bacillus cereus HS-9 was isolated from Cdcontaminated paddy soil using LB medium supplemented with 5 mg/L of Cd.HS-9 exhibited an impressive Cd removal efficiency of 95.44%at a concentration of 5 mg/L.A rice pot experiment was conducted using Cdcontaminated soil,with HS-9 inoculation as the treatment group and non-inoculated soil as the control.The treatment group resulted in a 38.99%reduction in soil Cd availability and a 34.33%decrease in rice Cd content without affecting rice yield.The microbial community of the rice rhizosphere was analyzed using metagenome sequencing.The results revealed an increased abundance of czcA,frnE,and irlS genes in the soil microbiome,indicating enhanced Cd resistance and efflux capabilities.Microbial community showed significant shifts towards a beneficial microbial consortium,particularly marked by increases in Lysobacter and Sphingomonas genera which are known for their roles in heavy metal resistance and bioremediation.B.cereus HS-9 demonstrated significant potential for the bioremediation of Cd-contaminated soil.This study provides foundation for the development of microbial-based strategies for the eco-friendly remediation of heavy metal-polluted agricultural lands. 展开更多

Due to low reflectance(5%10%)of black asphalt pavement,most of the incident solar radiation(2952500 nm)is absorbed and stored.This results in the high temperature(even exceeding 70 C in summer)of the pavement surface,which leads to pavement diseases,exacerbates the heat island effect,and reduces human thermal comfort.Reflective pavement coating with high reflectance ranging from 20%to 80%is an effective way to solve the above problems.However,excessively improving the visible reflectance and ignoring the mixed reflection behavior(including specular and diffuse reflection properties)may cause glare problems and negatively affect road light environment safety.Therefore,precise control of reflectance is very significant.In this study,an automated test platform of reflection behavior was developed to investigate the mixed light reflection distribution pattern of reflective coating.Additionally,the impact of reflective coating on the light environment was explored.It was found that there was obvious specular reflection under conditions of a low incidence angle(less than 10°).Moreover,reflective coating could change the lightness index and specular reflection coefficient of traditional pavement.Finally,considering glare during the daytime and the nighttime illumination safety,the control indexes of reflective pavement coating were proposed.The visible reflectance and specular reflection coefficient should be lower than 22%and 1.5,respectively.The results will provide a theoretical basis for the precise and safe design of reflective pavement coatings.The coatings aim to improve the thermal and light environments,thereby enhancing driving safety,while also providing better illumination during emergency repair and maintenance of road infrastructure. 展开更多

Thermal cracking is an inevitable phenomenon in concrete dam construction.In this study,we develop a set of control technologies for concrete dam construction that mitigates thermal cracking.The key technological innovations include:(1)material production technology that improves the crack resistance of hydraulic concrete;(2)progress-temperature-behavior coupling control with the time interval as the key variable;(3)spatiotemporal temperature closed-loop intelligent control with pipe cooling as the core;(4)thermal anti-cracking safety systematic control based on five factors(homogeneity,continuity,proportionality,integrity,and durability(HCPID));(5)an intelligent construction management and control platform based on dynamic perception,analysis,and control.A comprehensive technical system for thermal anti-cracking safety control in concrete dams is established,with concrete quality functioning as the basis,construction process as the timeline,temperature control technology as the core driver,and the intelligent management and control platform functioning as a tool.The developed technologies were implemented in the construction of the Xiluodu,Wudongde,and Baihetan concrete dams in China.Subsequently,thermal cracking was not observed in post-construction investigations.Our results provide a reference for the design and construction of similar projects. 展开更多

Objective:To describe the effectiveness and safety of treatment for cutaneous leishmaniasis in patients over the age of 44 years treated at a specialized research center in Colombia.Methods:Clinical profiles of cutaneous leishmaniasis patients were retrospectively described and effectiveness and safety of systemic and local and systemic treatments were compared with Pearson's Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test.Results:A total of 151 patients were included and 65%were male,78%were over 50 years of age,28%had hypertension and 11%had diabetes.The main treatments were systemic glucantime(10%),miltefosine(15%),and local treatments(48%).Treatment effectiveness was 68%for systemic and 64%for local treatments.Patients on systemic treatments had a significantly higher frequency of systemic adverse events.In contrast,those on local treatments only showed a statistically higher proportion of vesicles in application site.Conclusions:Our findings show moderate effectiveness across treatments.Crucially,while systemic and local treatments had similar effectiveness,systemic treatments were associated with a significantly higher frequency of adverse events.This finding highlights that local therapies offer a safer alternative for older adults,making them a viable and potentially preferable first-line option to minimize toxicity in this vulnerable population. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine Jiawei Simiao Yongan granules(加味四妙勇安颗粒,JWSMYAG)in the treatment of non-infectious anterior uveitis(NIAU).METHODS:We conducted a single-center,randomized,open-labeled clinical trial in adults with NIAU.Patients received standard treatment or a combination of JWSMYAG(twice daily)for three months,with a 3-month withdrawal period for observation.The primary endpoint was the recurrence rate within six months.RESULTS:A total of 98 patients were included in the intention-to-treat analysis,including 49 patients in the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)group and 49 patients in the control group.Compared with the control group,the number of relapses was significantly lower in the TCM group[24.5%vs 6.1%,P=0.0224;Hazard Ratio=0.208,95%Confidence Interval(0.059,0.737)];in addition,patients in the TCM group had lower symptom scores of eye pain,insomnia,and bitter taste within two weeks(all P10 mm Hg,the scoring of anterior chamber cells,the number of patients with keratic precipitates(+)after 1/2 weeks of treatment,and the scores of conjunctival hyperemia,headache,photophobia,and lacrimation.The difference in the number of adverse events between the two groups over six months was not statistically significant.CONCLUSION:JWSMYAG can reduce the recurrence rate of NIAU,alleviate ocular pain,insomnia,and bitter taste symptoms in patients with NIAU,and have a favorable safety profile. 展开更多

1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME)-based electrolyte is commonly employed in lithium metal batteries(LMBs)due to its excellent reductive stability and filming-forming ability,whereas the inferior oxidative stability and existin... 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME)-based electrolyte is commonly employed in lithium metal batteries(LMBs)due to its excellent reductive stability and filming-forming ability,whereas the inferior oxidative stability and existing safety hazards restrict its practical application.By adopting the localized high concentration electrolytes(LHCEs)strategy,the electrochemical performance can be enhanced with the assistance of diluents such as 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether(TTE),while the safety performance remains unsatisfactory.Herein,a molecular chain elongation strategy has been proposed to enhance the spatial steric hindrance and intermolecular forces.The obtained 1,2-diethoxyethane(DEE)solvent and 1H,1H,5H-octafluoropentyl 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl ether(OTE)diluent exhibit weak solvation ability and elevated boiling/flash points,facilitating the formation of inorganic-rich interfacial layer and enhancing the safety performance.Therefore,the Li||LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2(NCM811)full cells with DEE-based electrolyte can achieve stable cycling for over 1400 cycles at a cutoff voltage of 4.3 V and 500 cycles at a higher voltage of 4.4 V.Moreover,the commercial pouch cell displays remarkable cycling stability for 125 cycles under stringent conditions,along with excellent thermal stability and flame retardancy.Such a molecular chain elongation strategy offers an effective avenue for designing advanced electrolytes to better satisfy the demanding requirements of high-energy and high-safety LMBs. 展开更多

Artemisia argyi H.Lév.&Vaniot,commonly known as Chinese mugwort,is a wild vegetable with a long history of dietary use in China,and Qiai is its cultivated variety.However,it has not yet been included in China food catalog.Based on traditional folk edible processing methods,we developed A.argyi tender leaf powder(AATLP)to evaluate its safety.Here,the food safety of processed AATLP was assessed through acute toxicity,genotoxicity,repeated dose 90-day oral toxicity,and teratogenicity tests.AATLP components and human consumption were analyzed and surveyed,respectively.Results showed that the oral half lethal dose of AATLP was greater than 7.5 g/kg body weight(BW),indicating that it is practically non-toxic.Genotoxicity results(Ames,micronucleus,chromosome aberration)were negative.The results of 90-day oral toxicity test showed the no-observed-adverse-effect level(NOAEL)of 8.0 g/kg BW,without toxicological changes.The teratogenicity test indicated a NOAEL of 6.45 g/kg BW.Human consumption survey revealed no adverse effects.In conclusion,the findings provide toxicological and human survey evidence to confirm that A.argyi tender leaves can be used in food preparation for human consumption. 展开更多

AIM:To investigate efficacy and ocular surface safety of 3 kinds of different correction methods for correction of high myopia in adolescents.METHODS:A prospective,randomized,controlled clinical trial was conducted.From January 2022 to December 2022,62 adolescents with high myopia(124 eyes)were recruited,with spherical refractive errors ranging from-6.00 to-7.50 diopters(D)and refractive astigmatism≤1.50 D.All participants were randomly assigned to three groups:the orthokeratology combined with single-vision spectacle lenses(OK+SVLs)group(20 cases,40 eyes),the peripheral defocus rigid gas permeable contact lenses(Defocus RGPCL)group(22 cases,44 eyes),and the singlevision spectacle lenses(SVLs)group(20 cases,40 eyes).All of them were followed up for 1.5y.The observation indicators included refractive error,axial length(AL),tear break-up time(BUT),percentage of hexagonal corneal endothelial cells(CEC),CEC density,and ocular surface adverse reactions.RESULTS:The three groups had mean age of 14.84±1.87y,14.57±1.91y,and 14.80±1.52y,respectively.No statistically significant differences were found in age,gender,corneal curvature,AL,and spherical equivalent among the groups(all P>0.05).At the 6mo,1,and 1.5y follow-ups after spectacle lens wear,the improvements in refractive error in the OK+SVLs and Defocus RGPCL groups were significantly superior to those in the SVLs group(F=4.221,P=0.017;F=7.226,P=0.001;F=16.140,P0.05).Intergroup comparisons of AL changes revealed statistically significant differences at all follow-up time points(F=3.493,P=0.034;F=9.930,P0.05).After 1.5y of lens wear,the intergroup comparison of BUT showed a statistically significant difference(F=5.783,P=0.004),whereas no significant differences were found in the percentage of hexagonal CEC and CEC density among the three groups(all P>0.05).No severe complications were observed in the two contact lens groups;only 5 eyes presented with grade 1 or 2 bulbar conjunctival hyperemia and corneal epithelial staining.All adverse reactions were well controlled by temporary lens discontinuation or medication,and resumed lens wear subsequently,with no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two contact lens groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:Orthokeratology lenses and peripheral defocus RGPCL yield better visual acuity correction and superior image quality,which can minimize retinal image aberrations induced by high refractive errors.Both interventions achieve satisfactory corrective vision and effective myopia control effects in adolescents with high myopia,with no significant adverse reactions observed during the follow-up period,indicating a high level of wearing safety for clinical application. 展开更多

Since the construction and operation of the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Project(TGWCP),a series of geological safety issues have inevitably emerged within the reservoir area,severely affecting the safety of navigation,towns,roads,and residents within the Three Gorges Reservoir Area(TGRA).This study focuses on the geological safety issues that have arisen during the construction and operation of the TGWCP.The methods involved in the entire research process include data collection,field investigation,and literature review.The following conclusions are drawn:the geological safety issues experienced in the TGRA can be divided into three stages:the natural primitive stage(before 1993),the construction stage(1993–2009),and the operational stage(since 2009).The construction stage can be further divided into three phases,corresponding to the timelines of the resettlement projects:phase 1(1993–1997),phase 2(1997–2003),and phase 3(2003–2009)of the resettlement project.In the natural primitive stage,geological safety issue is primarily triggered by natural factors,leading to landslides and collapses.During the construction stage,the geological safety issues in phase 1 of the resettlement project are induced by human engineering activities,resulting in landslides,collapses,and debris flows.In phase 2 of the resettlement project,the geological safety issues are related to the resurgence of ancient landslides caused by the reservoir water level to 135 m.The phase 3 of the resettlement project experienced geological safety issues due to the formation of new landslides and seismic activities triggered by the reservoir water level reaching 173 m.In the operational stage,the fluctuating water level between 145 m and 175 m induces landslides and collapses.In light of these findings,this study proposed recommendations for the geological safety and sustainable development of the TGRA,ensuring the safety of lives and property of residents. 展开更多

To ensure the safe transportation of radioactive materials,numerous countries have established specific standards.For the transfer of fissile materials,it is imperative that the material within the packaging remains in a subcritical state during routine,normal,and accidental transport conditions.In the event of an accident,the rods within the storage tank may become rearranged,introducing uncertainty that must be accounted for to ensure that criticality analysis results are conservative.Historically,this uncertainty was addressed overly conservatively due to limited research on non-uniform arrangement scenarios,which proved unsuitable for criticality safety analysis of spent fuel packages.This paper introduced three distinct methods to non-uniformly rearrange fuel rods—Uniform Arrangement by Blocks,Layer-by-Layer Determination,and Birdcage Deformation—and meticulously evaluates the influences of rod rearrangement on the effective multiplication factor of neutrons,k eff,utilizing the Monte Carlo method.Ultimately,this study presents a holistic method capable of encompassing the entire spectrum of potential effects stemming from the rearrangement of fuel rods during rods mispositioning accident.By augmenting the safety margin,this approach proves to be adeptly suited for the criticality safety analysis of nuclear fuel transport containers. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Advanced pancreatic cancer(PC)is associated with a poor prognosis.The integration of Chinese and Western medicine(ICWM)has shown promising clinical efficacy.Nonetheless,the existing body of research assessing the efficacy and safety of this integrative approach is limited,hindering the provision of robust evidence-based support for clinical decision-making.AIM To assess the short-term and long-term efficacy and safety of ICWM compared with Western medicine(WM)as a standalone treatment for advanced PC.METHODS We enrolled 136 patients with advanced PC admitted to Henan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Henan Provincial People’s Hospital from 2019 to 2024.Patients were randomly assigned to the ICWM or WM group(n=66 or n=70,respectively)according to treatment modality.The long-term efficacy was evaluated using survival analyses.Short-term efficacy was assessed by analyzing the tumor response,serum tumor markers,and immune function before and after treatment.Treatment safety was assessed by monitoring bone marrow suppression and hepatic and renal function impairment.RESULTS The median overall survival was 12.91 months and 10.64 months in the ICWM and WM groups,while the median progression-free survival was 5.12 months and 3.55 months,respectively.The disease control rate was significantly higher in the ICWM group than that in the the WM group,while the myelosuppression was significantly milder.The serum tumor markers carbohydrate antigen(CA)19-9 and CA125 showed a significant downward trend before and after treatment in the ICWM group,whereas only CA19-9 showed a significant decrease in the WM group.Post-treatment,both groups showed an upward trend in natural killer cells and CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+lymphocytes compared with pre-treatment,with the ICWM group exhibiting a more pronounced increase.The two groups showed no significant differences in hepatic and renal function impairment.CONCLUSION ICWM extended survival in patients with advanced PC,improved long-term efficacy,controlled local lesions,reduced serum tumor markers,enhanced immune function,and improved short-term outcomes,with a favorable safety profile. 展开更多
