This paper explores the integration of simulation technology in Engineering Mechanics(EM)teaching in vocational colleges.A case study was conducted using the tensile test as an example,and digital resources,such as colored Mises stress nephograms,were obtained.These resources were integrated into the original curriculum to conduct teaching experiments.The results show that the use of digital resources significantly improved the quality of teaching in EM.The integration of simulation technology in EM teaching provides a promising direction for the improvement of vocational education and the cultivation of high-quality skilled talents.The development and application of more simulation-based teaching cases should be studied by scholars. 展开更多

Consciousness means the ability to recognize that the design process is a "problem solving" activity and not an exercise of uncontrolled imagination. In architectural education, small structures are a common subject in American and European universities where the inductive teaching is practiced routinely. This teaching experiment is developed within a design studio course in the second year of an architecture degree course and regards design and construction of a small bridge l:l scale. The exercises focus on the role of structural behaviour within architectural design. The teaching method contributes to the perception of the great complexity of the design process, to the acquisition of an attitude of prudence in design choices and to attention to detail in the development of creativity. 展开更多

In a teaching experiment, Japanese Grade 9 students investigated how to measure the height of an aerial balloon using different models involving angles and distances, and also to evaluate the models they developed. As novices to mathematical modelling, they needed to decide which of several possible models were both valid and practicable, and the errors in measurement that are likely to arise. Opportunities to construct and use paper models, as scale reductions of the real situation, and discussing their results in small groups were effective in moving forward the thinking of many students on the dimensions mentioned above. While students were less able to identify different sources of errors, many came to appreciate the need to learn trigonometric techniques that are more suitable in dealing with problems of this kind. 展开更多

It further analyzes how these problems constrain the cultivation of students' innovative thinking and practical abilities. To address these challenges, the study proposes several practical approaches from the perspectives of optimizing experimental content design and strengthening skills training. These include restructuring the experiment curriculum, introducing project-based learning, and implementing modular skills instruction. The aim is to establish a clearly structured, practice-oriented experimental teaching system. Against the backdrop of the“Double First-Class”construction initiative,experimental teaching in applied chemistry faces prominent challenges including curriculum disconnection from industrial demands,rigid instructional models,underutilized resources,and inadequate evaluation systems.This paper proposes a student-centered reform framework focusing on cultivating innovative capability,practical competence,and digital research literacy.The reform introduces six newly designed courses across four categories-frontier-oriented,innovation-practice,industry-education integrated,and AI(artificial intelligence)-digital specialized-to reconstruct a five-tier progressive experimental teaching system encompassing foundational,comprehensive,innovative,industrial-practice,and intelligent-digital modules.Diversified pedagogical approaches such as Project-Based Learning(PBL)and flipped classrooms are fully integrated throughout the curriculum.The study particularly examines AI-empowered innovations including virtual simulation,intelligent tutoring,data-driven analytics,and smart laboratory management,while also addressing implementation challenges related to interdisciplinary faculty development,data security,and cost control.Ultimately,this reform aims to establish an integrated industry-education-digital curriculum matrix that provides robust support for cultivating versatile chemistry talents equipped to meet the demands of emerging industries in the AI era,thereby contributing to the high-quality advancement of“Double First-Class”disciplines. 展开更多

Aiming at the problems in the experimental teaching of data structure such as the replacement of students’learning process,the weakening of algorithm thinking,and the distortion of teaching evaluation results caused by the overuse of large models,this paper analyzes the influence mechanism of large models on students’ability after their intervention in experimental teaching.On the basis of defining the reasonable usage boundary of large models,a new procedural teaching evaluation system is constructed,and an implementation plan for data structure experimental teaching under the constraint of standardized AI usage is proposed.Teaching practice results show that this evaluation model can effectively standardize students’use of AI and has a significant promoting effect on improving students’algorithm understanding ability,program debugging ability,and engineering practical ability. 展开更多

Virtual simulation teaching is an addendum to the experimental teaching mode of railway engineering,and the two teaching methods complement each other and merge with each other.In view of the current research,there is little discussion about the integration path of the two above.Based on the connotation and design of virtual simulation teaching,this research systematically expounds the integration of the real path and path optimization problems,and puts forward the railway engineering experimental teaching principles based on virtual simulation teaching.On the basis of this research,a virtual simulation experiment platform for vibration mechanics and its application in the floating slab vibration damping track was developed to make full use of three-dimensional modeling,virtual reality,human-computer interaction and other technologies,which can realistically simulate the vibration law and vibration damping effect of the rail transit system,and in the hope that the virtual simulation teaching can be widely used in the experimental teaching mode of railway engineering in the future. 展开更多

Primary school science is a discipline grounded in experiments,and experimental teaching holds paramount significance in primary school science education in China.Nevertheless,the implementation problems of experimental teaching are frequently disregarded.This research endeavors to disclose the concrete challenges encountered by primary school science teachers in the western region of China during the implementation of experimental teaching,analyze their implications,and put forward corresponding mitigatory measures.Based on a questionnaire survey regarding the current state of primary school science experimental teaching in 21 areas of western China,it is unveiled that primary school science teachers in the western region of China confront deficiencies in scientific professional attainment,the necessity to enhance the attitude towards experimental teaching,and a partial shortage of experimental teaching resources.These hardships result in the deterioration of the quality of experimental teaching,the attenuation of students’learning interests,and the exacerbation of teachers’job burnout.Hence,measures should be initiated in aspects such as teacher training,resource development,and enhanced emphasis to assist primary school science teachers in the western region of China in implementing experimental teaching more effectively and elevating the quality of primary school science experimental teaching. 展开更多

In this research the education and training that had been received or wished to be acquired by the Science teachers in the experimental teaching of Biology in high schools, was investigated. It focused on the laboratory practice, didactic methods that can be used in more effective experimental teaching of Biology, pedagogic methods that can be implemented in laboratory team teaching, official and legal issues related to laboratory work and the organization of the seminars, which constituted the dependent variables of a quantitative analysis. A questionnaire consisting of closed type questions was answered by Science teachers of many specialties, who served in Secondary Education at Heraklion Crete prefecture. The asked teachers had not received adequate education in carrying out laboratory exercises of Biology neither during their university studies nor in in-service training. Most of them had taught the course theoretically but a few had carried out laboratory exercises of Biology. The need of training on issues of didactic practices and evaluation was firstly classified, with a significant percentage of methods that can be applied to provoke students' curiosity in scientific issues related to daily life and recognize the value of the Life Sciences by team collaboration and respect of others. 展开更多
