The shift toward specialized and large-scale agricultural production has spurred the emergence of agricultural clusters as key forces of rural vitalization and sustainable development.This paper explored the formation...The shift toward specialized and large-scale agricultural production has spurred the emergence of agricultural clusters as key forces of rural vitalization and sustainable development.This paper explored the formation and evolution of Meizhou pomelo industry cluster in China,focusing on its role in restructuring rural socio-economic systems and integrating the whole value chains.Based on a case study employing qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews and participatory observation,the agricultural cluster evolution of Meizhou pomelo was categorized into three key phases of initial decentralization,self-organized scaling,and reorganized clustering.Geographical proximity and industrial agglomeration constitute the physical foundation,while vertical/horizontal linkages,technologic-al innovation,and policy support enhance competitiveness.Special mechanisms emerge through localized social networks,farmer co-operatives’activation,and cross-regional market expansion.The cluster’s impact is manifested in the shift from extensive to standard-ized and modernized production,diversified and flexible livelihood of farmers,and the integration of agriculture with industry and ser-vices.The development of the whole value chain based on agricultural cluster represents a critical pathway for achieving agricultural modernization,encompassing both internal and external value chain optimization.Through quality assurance systems,product diversi-fication strategies,operational efficiency improvements,and brand enhancement,these clusters amplify product value propositions and market competitiveness.This systemic approach facilitates supply-demand coordination,enables resource synergies,and optimizes eco-nomic returns across the horizontal and vertical value chain.This paper argues that agricultural clusters serve as strategic catalysts for sustainable rural development by reconstructing local production systems,fostering innovation ecosystems,and aligning agricultural modernization.It contributes to debates on rural vitalization by demonstrating how agricultural clustering can reconfigure rural areas as hubs of ecological modernization,rather than mere urban peripheries.展开更多

BACKGROUND:Although the Confusion Assessment Methods for the Intensive Care Unit(CAMICU) is a recommended tool for diagnosing sepsis-associated encephalopathy(SAE),it has several limitations.Mismatch-negativity(MMN) a...BACKGROUND:Although the Confusion Assessment Methods for the Intensive Care Unit(CAMICU) is a recommended tool for diagnosing sepsis-associated encephalopathy(SAE),it has several limitations.Mismatch-negativity(MMN) and P3a are components of event-related potentials(ERPs) used with electroencephalography(EEG) and are associated with cerebral function changes in critically ill patients.This study aimed to provide a quantitative,non-invasive method to guide SAE diagnosis in nonsedated patients.METHODS:From January 2022 to March 2023,sepsis patients without sedation were enrolled and assessed via the CAM-ICU,Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS),and ERP under standard procedures.Both MMN and P3a data were collected.The diagnostic value of MMN and P3a was assessed with processed ERP data.RESULTS:Thirty-six patients were included in this study,comprising 19 patients with SAE and 17 patients without SAE(NSAE).MMN and P3a amplitudes decreased,and only FzMMN amplitude significantly decreased in SAE patients(2.03 [1.08,2.93] mV vs.3.21 [1.92,4.34] mV,P=0.040).After median dichotomization,low F3P3a and FzP3a amplitudes were associated with higher CAM-ICU positivity rates and APACHE II scores.Both amplitude in F3P3a(AUC=0.710,95%CI:0.527–0.893,P=0.034) and FzP3a(AUC=0.700,95%CI:0.519–0.881,P=0.041) exhibited moderate diagnostic efficacy for SAE,while FzMMN amplitude lacks effective diagnostic value.CONCLUSION:In this pilot study,ERP components F3P3a and FzP3a amplitudes demonstrated moderate diagnostic value for SAE.These exploratory findings require confirmation in larger and powered cohorts.展开更多

A comparative analysis of ecosystem service responses to land use scenarios, incorporating adaptive valuation coefficients, can reveal actionable pathways to reconcile sustainable development and ecological conservation in mountainous regions. In this study, the ecosystem service value(ESV) dynamics in the Hunan–Jiangxi Border Region(HJBR), which is a representative old revolutionary base with a relatively undeveloped economy, were investigated by integrating historical land use data analysis from 2000 to 2020 and adopting patch-generating land use simulation(PLUS) modelling. Three policy-responsive scenarios, namely, natural growth(NGS), farmland protection(FPS), and ecological protection(EPS), were systematically developed to project ESV variations for 2030 and 2040. Our analysis revealed that from 2000 to 2020, urban sprawl and water body expansion occurred at the expense of forestland, cultivated land, and grassland, yet yield-driven productivity improvements increased the ESV by 227.30%(equivalent to ¥250.0 billion). By 2040, the NGS achieves the greatest ESV increase(¥189.895 billion) while fully accommodating urban land demand;the FPS yields the smallest ESV increase(¥148.169 billion), with the EPS occupying an intermediate position(¥182.207 billion). Climate regulation and hydrological services dominate ecological functions, collectively exceeding 49% across all the scenarios and periods. By 2040, most service functions exhibit growth trends except for a 0.30% water supply decline under the FPS, whereas the EPS demonstrates balanced development through multidimensional service enhancements. These findings underscore the necessity of integrating ecological safeguards into land use planning frameworks to ensure sustainable regional development.展开更多
The global value chain(GVC)is a central driver of the international division of labor and a critical lens for understanding global economic dynamics.This study constructs a long-term GVC network dataset using multi-re...The global value chain(GVC)is a central driver of the international division of labor and a critical lens for understanding global economic dynamics.This study constructs a long-term GVC network dataset using multi-regional input-output(MRIO)tables and input-output analysis techniques.By integrating advanced network analysis algorithms,this study characterizes the macrostructure and spatiotemporal evolution of the GVC network,examines its topological features,and evaluates the evolution of its structural resilience.The main findings are as follows:(1)Value flows among major economies form a hierarchical structure,and value distribution is highly uneven across space.The GVC network has expanded and densified over time,with rising value flows in East Asia,evolving from a dual-center structure centered on Europe and North America to a tri-polar structure comprising Europe,North America,and East Asia.(2)The core-periphery structure of the GVC network is pronounced,and a node’s position is determined by both the scale of its participation and the diversification of its value linkages.(3)The backbone structure of the GVC network has shifted from a single core centered on the United States to a dual-core system led by China and the United States,while Europe and Japan provide stabilizing support.Over time,the backbone structure has evolved with a trend of eastward shift and increasing globalization characteristics.(4)Overall resilience of the GVC network is limited and follows a four-stage evolutionary trajectory,with major international shocks serving as turning points.These findings elucidate the node and structural characteristics of the GVC network,contributing to a deeper understanding of global economic dynamics and the process of economic globalization.展开更多
Lhasa,one of the world's highest cities,confronts the challenge of harmonizing cultural heritage preservation with ecological protection.Assessing the spatiotemporal dynamics of ecosystem service value(ESV)in its ...Lhasa,one of the world's highest cities,confronts the challenge of harmonizing cultural heritage preservation with ecological protection.Assessing the spatiotemporal dynamics of ecosystem service value(ESV)in its central urban area is therefore critical for informing future urban planning and land management.This study systematically analyzed land use evolution,the spatiotemporal characteristics of ecosystem services,and ecological network construction within Lhasa's central urban area.It integrated multi-source data,including Landsat remote sensing imagery from 2000,2010,and 2023,with multiple modeling methods such as the InVEST model,MaxEnt for cultural service assessment,the Minimum Cumulative Resistance(MCR)model,and circuit theory.Based on these analyses,optimization strategies were proposed.The results indicate that from 2000 to 2023,areas of cultivated land,grassland,and water bodies decreased by 7.47%,6.85%,and 0.68%,respectively,while wetland and forest areas expanded by 1.44%and 0.64%.Construction land exhibited significant expansion(12.94%),leading to an overall ESV reduction of 462.8×105yuan.Vegetation coverage was identified as the pivotal factor influencing ESV distribution,with higher values concentrated in the Lhasa River Basin and near the Lhalu Wetland,diminishing towards the urban core.Furthermore,spatial autocorrelation analysis revealed significant positive spatial clustering,with low-low aggregation in the eastern and central regions and high-high aggregation in the Lhasa River Basin and its surrounding water bodies.Moreover,based on a comprehensive ecosystem service assessment,11 ecological source sites were identified,primarily in the southwestern mountains and northeastern foothills.A comprehensive resistance surface,incorporating factors such as elevation,Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI),and land use,facilitated the extraction of 23 potential ecological corridors totaling 124.96 km in length.Topological network analysis indicated high redundancy and connectivity;however,marginal source sites relying on single connections exhibited significant vulnerability to rupture.Additionally,the application of circuit theory identified 30 ecological pinch points(current density≥1.5 A/km2)and 23 obstacle points,revealing significant blockages to ecological flow along the Qinghai-Xizang Highway,within the old city,and in other areas of high-intensity human activity.To address the identified network deficiencies—‘scattered cores,fragmented corridors,and insufficient resilience’—this study proposes an optimization strategy conceptualized as‘one vein,three corridors,and multiple cores’.Recommendations for enhancing network resilience include the delineation of ecological protection red lines,the integration of plateau-adapted technologies,and the fostering of community governance mechanisms.This approach aims to provide a scientific basis for constructing an ecological security pattern and promoting sustainable development in plateau cities.Ultimately,this research contributes to the enhancement of ecological well-being in the Himalayan region.展开更多

China is undergoing a critical economic transition amidst the double pressures of growing environmental demands and an increasing urban-rural income gap.The forest eco-products value realization(FEPVR)mechanism helps ...China is undergoing a critical economic transition amidst the double pressures of growing environmental demands and an increasing urban-rural income gap.The forest eco-products value realization(FEPVR)mechanism helps resource-rich but economically underdeveloped regions overcome development constraints and boost revenue.This study investigates the impact of FEPVR on the urban-rural income gap by quantifying FEPVR using an evaluation index system of conversion efficiency.Using panel data from China’s pilot regions for the eco-product value realization mechanism from 2005 to 2023,a fixed effects model and panel quantile regression are used to empirically assess the impact of FEPVR on the urban-rural income gap.The main findings are as follows:(1)FEPVR effectively narrows the urban-rural income gap.(2)The relationship follows an inverted U-shaped pattern,initially widening the gap before subsequently reducing it.(3)The significant income improvement among rural residents,particularly those in low-income groups,primarily drives this reduction.(4)Heterogeneity analysis reveals that regions with larger rural populations and higher-quality forest resources derive greater benefits from FEPVR in narrowing the income gap.This effect was significant between 2012 and 2023 but less notable between 2005 and 2011.This study provides direct implications for Chinese policymakers and offers valuable insights for advancing the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),particularly in eradicating poverty(SDG 1)and reducing inequality(SDG 10).展开更多
BACKGROUND Metabolism and nutrition status play an important role in the development of cancer.However,whether inflammation and malnutrition related indicators can predict the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT...BACKGROUND Metabolism and nutrition status play an important role in the development of cancer.However,whether inflammation and malnutrition related indicators can predict the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)and the prognosis of gastric cancer has not been addressed.AIM To evaluate the predictive value of malnutrition as determined by the geriatric nutritional risk index(GNRI)and inflammation represented by the pan-immuneinflammation value(PIV)for the response to NACT patients’prognosis in locally advanced gastric cancer(LAGC).METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 147 LAGC patients who underwent radical resection after NACT.The PIV,and GNRI were compared according to whether receiving nutritional intervention during NACT.The prognostic values of GNRI and PIV were assessed using time-dependent receiver operating characteristic curve analysis,log-rank tests,and Cox regression analysis.RESULTS Nutritional intervention could improve nutrition status and reduce inflammation during NACT in LAGC patients.Multivariate analysis showed that GNRI(hazard ratio=0.956,95%confidence interval:0.923-0.991,P=0.013),PIV(hazard ratio=1.002,95%confidence interval:1-1.005,P=0.041)were independent predictors for OS.Significant differences of overall survival and disease-free survival according to GNRI(P<0.001)and PIV(P<0.001)were observed between the low and high groups.The GNRI-PIV score constructed with GNRI and PIV had a higher area under the curve and was significantly associated with pathological tumor regression response.CONCLUSION GNRI and PIV are useful predictive biomarkers in patients with LAGC receiving NACT,and nutritional supplement can improve patients’status.The GNRI-PIV score may contribute to a more personalized and holistic approach for LAGC patients underwent NACT.展开更多
Innovation spillovers from multinational corporations to domestic firms are increasingly prominent in global value chain(GVC)evolution,yet prior work has largely focused on technology transfer,leaving the distinct nat...Innovation spillovers from multinational corporations to domestic firms are increasingly prominent in global value chain(GVC)evolution,yet prior work has largely focused on technology transfer,leaving the distinct nature of innovation spillovers underexplored.Existing GVC literature also remains divided between intra-product and inter-product perspectives,overlooking GVC heterogeneity.This study examines two governance structures:OEM relationships(processbased,intra-product)and buyer-supplier relationships(modular-based,interproduct),and investigates their divergent innovation spillover effects,along with the moderating role of inter-organizational relationship(IOR)characteristics.Using an unbalanced panel of 2,150 transaction observations from 597 dyads across nine advanced manufacturing industries(2012-2022),we integrate annual transaction volumes with patent citations and subsequent innovation outcomes.Empirically,we find that innovation spillovers are significantly stronger in OEM relationships than in buyer-supplier relationships,with a positive interaction between the two chains.Furthermore,multidimensional IOR traits substantially affect both spillover magnitudes and the variance across GVC types.This study advances GVC research by shifting the focus from technology transfer to innovation spillovers and bridging intra-product and inter-product specialization divides.It offers exploratory theoretical insights and provides strategic implications for Chinese firms regarding GVC embeddedness and innovation decisions.展开更多

Quantum linear equation solvers generate a solution vector that sits in a subspace of the quantum computer’s larger state space.Accessing the solution vector relies on applying measurement projectors that remove comp...Quantum linear equation solvers generate a solution vector that sits in a subspace of the quantum computer’s larger state space.Accessing the solution vector relies on applying measurement projectors that remove components in the orthogonal subspace.This study examines the probability that the projectors are successful and how the success probability is influenced by the properties of the linear system,e.g.,the matrix condition number,and approximations made in the quantum solver.The analysis is performed within a non-linear computational fluid dynamics code where,at each iteration,a linearised system is passed to an emulated quantum solver.The linear systems are solved using quantum singular value transformation,for which the accuracy of the matrix inversion polynomial can be controlled via user input.The results show that success probabilities vary between 10−6and 10−2for the cases considered.More accurate approximations have lower success probabilities and require longer circuits.Less accurate approximations are analysed and show that variations during the non-linear iterations are related to the eigen content of the right-hand side vector.The use of amplitude amplification is shown to be able to increase success probabilities from 10−6to 10−2,in accordance with theory,but at a cost of a 100 times increase in circuit depth.Whilst these results are specific to the fluid flow test cases,they are generalisable to other types of linear solvers.展开更多

Extreme traffic loads significantly challenge the safety and cost-effectiveness of highway bridges,especially under site-specific traffic conditions.Conventional assessments often rely on overly conservative load mode...Extreme traffic loads significantly challenge the safety and cost-effectiveness of highway bridges,especially under site-specific traffic conditions.Conventional assessments often rely on overly conservative load models,leading to excessive structural design.In this study,a framework for the prediction of maximum bending moments in simply supported bridges is developed by integrating weigh-in-motion(WIM)data,traffic microsimulation,and generalized extreme value(GEV)regression modeling to establish relationships between the GEV parameters(μ,σ,ξ)and traffic factors—heavy vehicle proportion,bridge span length,vehicle speed,headway,and traffic volume.Using one-year WIM data from 7.4 million vehicles,the developed models for μ and σ exhibit high predictive accuracy(R2>0.95)and are validated through leave-one-out cross-validation.The prediction of ξ is less accurate(R2≈0.6),requiring further improvement.Applying these models to a 1000-year return level yields a reliable,data-driven extrapolation,supporting optimized bridge design and safety assessment under varying traffic conditions.展开更多
BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)prognosis is influenced by tumor burden,liver function,performance status,and systemic inflammation.Conventional prognostic systems such as the albumin-bilirubin(ALBI)and model ...BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)prognosis is influenced by tumor burden,liver function,performance status,and systemic inflammation.Conventional prognostic systems such as the albumin-bilirubin(ALBI)and model for end-stage liver disease-sodium(MELD-Na)scores mainly reflect hepatic functional reserve but may not adequately capture the host inflammatory response.AIM To evaluate the prognostic significance of the pan-immune-inflammation value(PIV)compared with ALBI and MELD-Na scores in patients with HCC.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included 97 patients diagnosed with HCC and treated at the Medical Oncology Department of Ankara Etlik City Hospital between September 2022 and September 2025.Overall survival(OS)was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis,Cox regression models,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis.Univariate and multivariable Cox regression analyses were performed to identify independent prognostic factors,and optimal cut-off values were determined using the Youden index.RESULTS Median follow-up was 10 months,and 58 deaths occurred.In univariate analysis,Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status,Barcelona clinic liver cancer stage,cirrhosis,treatment modality,ALBI,MELD-Na score,and PIV were significantly associated with OS(all P<0.05).In multivariable Cox regression analysis,ECOG performance status(P<0.001)and PIV(P=0.016)remained independent prognostic factors.ROC analysis demonstrated that PIV had the highest discriminatory ability for predicting OS(AUC=0.794,P<0.001),followed by ALBI(AUC=0.781,P<0.001),alpha-fetoprotein(AUC=0.712,P<0.001),and MELD-Na(AUC=0.699,P=0.001).Patients with high PIV had significantly poorer survival,with a median OS of 5 months compared with 30 months in the low-PIV group.CONCLUSION These findings demonstrate that PIV provides superior prognostic performance compared with conventional liver function-based scores and may serve as a robust biomarker for risk stratification in patients with HCC.展开更多
BACKGROUND Post-intervention depression with psychotic features represents a severe complication in cerebrovascular intervention that substantially impedes recovery and quality of life.Growing evidence implicates neur...BACKGROUND Post-intervention depression with psychotic features represents a severe complication in cerebrovascular intervention that substantially impedes recovery and quality of life.Growing evidence implicates neuroinflammation as a key pathophysiological mechanism linking procedural stress,ischemia-reperfusion injury,and the development of post-procedural neuropsychiatric sequelae.Identifying reliable biomarkers for early risk stratification is crucial for preemptive management.AIM To investigate the value of human chitinase-3-like protein 1(YKL-40/CHI3L1),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,and interleukin-6 in predicting psychotic complications of postoperative depression following cerebrovascular intervention.METHODS General patient data from 94 patients who underwent cerebrovascular intervention and serum levels of YKL-40,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,and interleukin-6 measured preoperatively and on postoperative day 1,days 3,and days 7 were collected and compared between the two groups.Multivariate logistic regression identified independent risk factors for psychotic complications.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis evaluated the predictive efficacy of each inflammatory marker,and the correlation between inflammatory marker levels and psychiatric assessment scale scores was analyzed.RESULTS Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses identified YKL-40 levels on postoperative day 3,National Institute of Health Stroke Scale scores on postoperative day 7,and intraoperative complications as independent risk factors for postoperative depressive disorder with psychotic complications(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis indicated that the inflammatory markers measured on postoperative day 3 had the highest predictive value.Among them,YKL-40 had the largest area under the curve of 0.892(95%confidence interval:0.821-0.963),with an optimal cut-off value of 156.4 ng/mL,yielding a sensitivity of 85.7%and a specificity of 84.8%.Spearman correlation analysis revealed that YKL-40 levels on postoperative day 3 in the complication group were significantly positively correlated with both Hamilton Depression Rating Scale-17 scores(r=0.612,P<0.001)and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale positive subscale scores(r=0.584,P<0.001).CONCLUSION YKL-40 demonstrated good predictive efficacy for psychotic complications of depression following cerebrovascular intervention.Dynamic monitoring of YKL-40 can facilitate early identification of high-risk patients and enable timely,effective interventions.展开更多
The unique regulatory effect of pH on electrostatic interactions offers a powerful approach for manipulating and separating singlestranded DNA(ssDNA)molecules.In this study,we employ Langevin dynamics simulations to i...The unique regulatory effect of pH on electrostatic interactions offers a powerful approach for manipulating and separating singlestranded DNA(ssDNA)molecules.In this study,we employ Langevin dynamics simulations to investigate the translocation dynamics of two ssDNAs,poly(dA)and poly(dT),through a silicon nitride nanopore under acidic conditions.The key distinction between the two chains is their different pH-dependent protonation.At low pH,the highly protonated adenine bases experience repulsive interactions from the similarly protonated nanopore surface and the retarding force from the external voltage,whereas neutral thymine bases do not.Consequently,compared to poly(dT),poly(dA)exhibits a lower capture probability and slower translocation speed under strongly acidic conditions.However,the difference in the translocation behaviors between the two chains gradually diminishes as the pH increases.Based on their distinct pH-dependent behaviors,poly(dA)and poly(dT)of identical length can be successfully separated through the translocation strategy at low pH,even when they are initially mixed on the same side of the nanopore.展开更多
Missing data remain a persistent challenge in statistical analysis and machine learning because many predictive methods require complete observations.Generative Adversarial Imputation Networks(GAIN)offer a flexible de...Missing data remain a persistent challenge in statistical analysis and machine learning because many predictive methods require complete observations.Generative Adversarial Imputation Networks(GAIN)offer a flexible deep-learning approach for missing value imputation,but their practical use is limited by convergence instability,sensitivity to hyperparameter selection,and dependence on outdated software implementations.To address these limitations,we propose Enhanced Generative Adversarial Imputation Networks(EGAIN),a modernized extension of GAIN implemented in TensorFlow 2.x.EGAIN incorporates convolution-based generator and discriminator networks,a channel-stacked representation of the data and mask,and checkpoint-based training diagnostics to improve stability and usability.EGAIN was evaluated on five benchmark datasets under multiple Missing Completely At Random(MCAR)settings and compared with the original GAIN implementation and median imputation.Across most evaluated conditions,EGAIN achieved lower root mean squared error(RMSE)and showed greater robustness,particularly when missingness was concentrated in a subset of variables.These results indicate that EGAIN provides a more stable and reproducible framework for missing data imputation in tabular datasets.展开更多

摘要The shift toward specialized and large-scale agricultural production has spurred the emergence of agricultural clusters as key forces of rural vitalization and sustainable development.This paper explored the formation and evolution of Meizhou pomelo industry cluster in China,focusing on its role in restructuring rural socio-economic systems and integrating the whole value chains.Based on a case study employing qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews and participatory observation,the agricultural cluster evolution of Meizhou pomelo was categorized into three key phases of initial decentralization,self-organized scaling,and reorganized clustering.Geographical proximity and industrial agglomeration constitute the physical foundation,while vertical/horizontal linkages,technologic-al innovation,and policy support enhance competitiveness.Special mechanisms emerge through localized social networks,farmer co-operatives’activation,and cross-regional market expansion.The cluster’s impact is manifested in the shift from extensive to standard-ized and modernized production,diversified and flexible livelihood of farmers,and the integration of agriculture with industry and ser-vices.The development of the whole value chain based on agricultural cluster represents a critical pathway for achieving agricultural modernization,encompassing both internal and external value chain optimization.Through quality assurance systems,product diversi-fication strategies,operational efficiency improvements,and brand enhancement,these clusters amplify product value propositions and market competitiveness.This systemic approach facilitates supply-demand coordination,enables resource synergies,and optimizes eco-nomic returns across the horizontal and vertical value chain.This paper argues that agricultural clusters serve as strategic catalysts for sustainable rural development by reconstructing local production systems,fostering innovation ecosystems,and aligning agricultural modernization.It contributes to debates on rural vitalization by demonstrating how agricultural clustering can reconfigure rural areas as hubs of ecological modernization,rather than mere urban peripheries.

摘要Dear Editor,This letter introduces a value decomposition method based on a quadratic function for multi-agent reinforcement learning,aiming to derive cooperative policies among agents modeled by artificial neural networks.By constructing a quadratic function with specific parameter constraints,it ensures that the function achieves a global maximum when the local optimal actions are used as inputs.Based on this structured quadratic function,a novel value decomposition algorithm is proposed to facilitate optimal cooperative policy training within the centralized training with decentralized execution(CTDE)framework.

摘要BACKGROUND:Although the Confusion Assessment Methods for the Intensive Care Unit(CAMICU) is a recommended tool for diagnosing sepsis-associated encephalopathy(SAE),it has several limitations.Mismatch-negativity(MMN) and P3a are components of event-related potentials(ERPs) used with electroencephalography(EEG) and are associated with cerebral function changes in critically ill patients.This study aimed to provide a quantitative,non-invasive method to guide SAE diagnosis in nonsedated patients.METHODS:From January 2022 to March 2023,sepsis patients without sedation were enrolled and assessed via the CAM-ICU,Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS),and ERP under standard procedures.Both MMN and P3a data were collected.The diagnostic value of MMN and P3a was assessed with processed ERP data.RESULTS:Thirty-six patients were included in this study,comprising 19 patients with SAE and 17 patients without SAE(NSAE).MMN and P3a amplitudes decreased,and only FzMMN amplitude significantly decreased in SAE patients(2.03 [1.08,2.93] mV vs.3.21 [1.92,4.34] mV,P=0.040).After median dichotomization,low F3P3a and FzP3a amplitudes were associated with higher CAM-ICU positivity rates and APACHE II scores.Both amplitude in F3P3a(AUC=0.710,95%CI:0.527–0.893,P=0.034) and FzP3a(AUC=0.700,95%CI:0.519–0.881,P=0.041) exhibited moderate diagnostic efficacy for SAE,while FzMMN amplitude lacks effective diagnostic value.CONCLUSION:In this pilot study,ERP components F3P3a and FzP3a amplitudes demonstrated moderate diagnostic value for SAE.These exploratory findings require confirmation in larger and powered cohorts.

摘要Numerous economically underdeveloped and ecologically fragile areas in southern China's mountainous regions face increasing challenges in achieving sustainable development. A comparative analysis of ecosystem service responses to land use scenarios, incorporating adaptive valuation coefficients, can reveal actionable pathways to reconcile sustainable development and ecological conservation in mountainous regions. In this study, the ecosystem service value(ESV) dynamics in the Hunan–Jiangxi Border Region(HJBR), which is a representative old revolutionary base with a relatively undeveloped economy, were investigated by integrating historical land use data analysis from 2000 to 2020 and adopting patch-generating land use simulation(PLUS) modelling. Three policy-responsive scenarios, namely, natural growth(NGS), farmland protection(FPS), and ecological protection(EPS), were systematically developed to project ESV variations for 2030 and 2040. Our analysis revealed that from 2000 to 2020, urban sprawl and water body expansion occurred at the expense of forestland, cultivated land, and grassland, yet yield-driven productivity improvements increased the ESV by 227.30%(equivalent to ¥250.0 billion). By 2040, the NGS achieves the greatest ESV increase(¥189.895 billion) while fully accommodating urban land demand;the FPS yields the smallest ESV increase(¥148.169 billion), with the EPS occupying an intermediate position(¥182.207 billion). Climate regulation and hydrological services dominate ecological functions, collectively exceeding 49% across all the scenarios and periods. By 2040, most service functions exhibit growth trends except for a 0.30% water supply decline under the FPS, whereas the EPS demonstrates balanced development through multidimensional service enhancements. These findings underscore the necessity of integrating ecological safeguards into land use planning frameworks to ensure sustainable regional development.

摘要The global value chain(GVC)is a central driver of the international division of labor and a critical lens for understanding global economic dynamics.This study constructs a long-term GVC network dataset using multi-regional input-output(MRIO)tables and input-output analysis techniques.By integrating advanced network analysis algorithms,this study characterizes the macrostructure and spatiotemporal evolution of the GVC network,examines its topological features,and evaluates the evolution of its structural resilience.The main findings are as follows:(1)Value flows among major economies form a hierarchical structure,and value distribution is highly uneven across space.The GVC network has expanded and densified over time,with rising value flows in East Asia,evolving from a dual-center structure centered on Europe and North America to a tri-polar structure comprising Europe,North America,and East Asia.(2)The core-periphery structure of the GVC network is pronounced,and a node’s position is determined by both the scale of its participation and the diversification of its value linkages.(3)The backbone structure of the GVC network has shifted from a single core centered on the United States to a dual-core system led by China and the United States,while Europe and Japan provide stabilizing support.Over time,the backbone structure has evolved with a trend of eastward shift and increasing globalization characteristics.(4)Overall resilience of the GVC network is limited and follows a four-stage evolutionary trajectory,with major international shocks serving as turning points.These findings elucidate the node and structural characteristics of the GVC network,contributing to a deeper understanding of global economic dynamics and the process of economic globalization.

摘要Lhasa,one of the world's highest cities,confronts the challenge of harmonizing cultural heritage preservation with ecological protection.Assessing the spatiotemporal dynamics of ecosystem service value(ESV)in its central urban area is therefore critical for informing future urban planning and land management.This study systematically analyzed land use evolution,the spatiotemporal characteristics of ecosystem services,and ecological network construction within Lhasa's central urban area.It integrated multi-source data,including Landsat remote sensing imagery from 2000,2010,and 2023,with multiple modeling methods such as the InVEST model,MaxEnt for cultural service assessment,the Minimum Cumulative Resistance(MCR)model,and circuit theory.Based on these analyses,optimization strategies were proposed.The results indicate that from 2000 to 2023,areas of cultivated land,grassland,and water bodies decreased by 7.47%,6.85%,and 0.68%,respectively,while wetland and forest areas expanded by 1.44%and 0.64%.Construction land exhibited significant expansion(12.94%),leading to an overall ESV reduction of 462.8×105yuan.Vegetation coverage was identified as the pivotal factor influencing ESV distribution,with higher values concentrated in the Lhasa River Basin and near the Lhalu Wetland,diminishing towards the urban core.Furthermore,spatial autocorrelation analysis revealed significant positive spatial clustering,with low-low aggregation in the eastern and central regions and high-high aggregation in the Lhasa River Basin and its surrounding water bodies.Moreover,based on a comprehensive ecosystem service assessment,11 ecological source sites were identified,primarily in the southwestern mountains and northeastern foothills.A comprehensive resistance surface,incorporating factors such as elevation,Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI),and land use,facilitated the extraction of 23 potential ecological corridors totaling 124.96 km in length.Topological network analysis indicated high redundancy and connectivity;however,marginal source sites relying on single connections exhibited significant vulnerability to rupture.Additionally,the application of circuit theory identified 30 ecological pinch points(current density≥1.5 A/km2)and 23 obstacle points,revealing significant blockages to ecological flow along the Qinghai-Xizang Highway,within the old city,and in other areas of high-intensity human activity.To address the identified network deficiencies—‘scattered cores,fragmented corridors,and insufficient resilience’—this study proposes an optimization strategy conceptualized as‘one vein,three corridors,and multiple cores’.Recommendations for enhancing network resilience include the delineation of ecological protection red lines,the integration of plateau-adapted technologies,and the fostering of community governance mechanisms.This approach aims to provide a scientific basis for constructing an ecological security pattern and promoting sustainable development in plateau cities.Ultimately,this research contributes to the enhancement of ecological well-being in the Himalayan region.

摘要Weak measurement offers a powerful framework for probing nonclassical features of quantum mechanics,with anomalous weak values serving as operational signatures of contextuality.While the anomalous weak value verification of quantum contextuality has been predominantly investigated in the single-photon regime and analyzed under approximation condition of infinitesimally small perturbation strength.This study releases the approximation condition and takes into account the impact of perturbation strength on the rigor of the verification.And the investigation on the verification of contextuality is extended to the multi-photon scenarios for observing the influence of the correlation between photons on the verification.Without the limitation of infinitesimally small probability of disturbance,anomalous weak values are identified as necessary for contextuality to emerge,thereby refining the criterion proposed by Pusey[Phys.Rev.Lett.113200401(2014)].In the multi-photon scenarios,the emergence of contextuality also depends strongly on both the photon number and the photon-number distribution state.In particular,contextuality is found to be maximized when the single-photon component dominates and the second-order correlation is lower.These results highlight the critical role of photon statistics in experimental tests of contextuality via anomalous weak values.

摘要China is undergoing a critical economic transition amidst the double pressures of growing environmental demands and an increasing urban-rural income gap.The forest eco-products value realization(FEPVR)mechanism helps resource-rich but economically underdeveloped regions overcome development constraints and boost revenue.This study investigates the impact of FEPVR on the urban-rural income gap by quantifying FEPVR using an evaluation index system of conversion efficiency.Using panel data from China’s pilot regions for the eco-product value realization mechanism from 2005 to 2023,a fixed effects model and panel quantile regression are used to empirically assess the impact of FEPVR on the urban-rural income gap.The main findings are as follows:(1)FEPVR effectively narrows the urban-rural income gap.(2)The relationship follows an inverted U-shaped pattern,initially widening the gap before subsequently reducing it.(3)The significant income improvement among rural residents,particularly those in low-income groups,primarily drives this reduction.(4)Heterogeneity analysis reveals that regions with larger rural populations and higher-quality forest resources derive greater benefits from FEPVR in narrowing the income gap.This effect was significant between 2012 and 2023 but less notable between 2005 and 2011.This study provides direct implications for Chinese policymakers and offers valuable insights for advancing the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),particularly in eradicating poverty(SDG 1)and reducing inequality(SDG 10).

摘要BACKGROUND Metabolism and nutrition status play an important role in the development of cancer.However,whether inflammation and malnutrition related indicators can predict the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)and the prognosis of gastric cancer has not been addressed.AIM To evaluate the predictive value of malnutrition as determined by the geriatric nutritional risk index(GNRI)and inflammation represented by the pan-immuneinflammation value(PIV)for the response to NACT patients’prognosis in locally advanced gastric cancer(LAGC).METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 147 LAGC patients who underwent radical resection after NACT.The PIV,and GNRI were compared according to whether receiving nutritional intervention during NACT.The prognostic values of GNRI and PIV were assessed using time-dependent receiver operating characteristic curve analysis,log-rank tests,and Cox regression analysis.RESULTS Nutritional intervention could improve nutrition status and reduce inflammation during NACT in LAGC patients.Multivariate analysis showed that GNRI(hazard ratio=0.956,95%confidence interval:0.923-0.991,P=0.013),PIV(hazard ratio=1.002,95%confidence interval:1-1.005,P=0.041)were independent predictors for OS.Significant differences of overall survival and disease-free survival according to GNRI(P<0.001)and PIV(P<0.001)were observed between the low and high groups.The GNRI-PIV score constructed with GNRI and PIV had a higher area under the curve and was significantly associated with pathological tumor regression response.CONCLUSION GNRI and PIV are useful predictive biomarkers in patients with LAGC receiving NACT,and nutritional supplement can improve patients’status.The GNRI-PIV score may contribute to a more personalized and holistic approach for LAGC patients underwent NACT.

摘要Innovation spillovers from multinational corporations to domestic firms are increasingly prominent in global value chain(GVC)evolution,yet prior work has largely focused on technology transfer,leaving the distinct nature of innovation spillovers underexplored.Existing GVC literature also remains divided between intra-product and inter-product perspectives,overlooking GVC heterogeneity.This study examines two governance structures:OEM relationships(processbased,intra-product)and buyer-supplier relationships(modular-based,interproduct),and investigates their divergent innovation spillover effects,along with the moderating role of inter-organizational relationship(IOR)characteristics.Using an unbalanced panel of 2,150 transaction observations from 597 dyads across nine advanced manufacturing industries(2012-2022),we integrate annual transaction volumes with patent citations and subsequent innovation outcomes.Empirically,we find that innovation spillovers are significantly stronger in OEM relationships than in buyer-supplier relationships,with a positive interaction between the two chains.Furthermore,multidimensional IOR traits substantially affect both spillover magnitudes and the variance across GVC types.This study advances GVC research by shifting the focus from technology transfer to innovation spillovers and bridging intra-product and inter-product specialization divides.It offers exploratory theoretical insights and provides strategic implications for Chinese firms regarding GVC embeddedness and innovation decisions.

摘要In this paper,we study the nonlinear Riemann boundary value problem with square roots that is represented by a Cauchy-type integral with kernel density in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces.We discuss the odd-order zero-points distribution of the solutions and separate the single valued analytic branch of the solutions with square roots,then convert the problem to a Riemann boundary value problem in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces and discuss the singularity of solutions at individual zeros belonging to curve.We consider two types of cases those where the coefficient is Hölder and those where it is piecewise Hölder.Then we solve the Hilbert boundary value problem with square roots in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces.By discussing the distribution of the odd-order zero-points for solutions and the method of symmetric extension,we convert the Hilbert problem to a Riemann boundary value problem.The equivalence of the transformation is discussed.Finally,we get the solvable conditions and the direct expressions of the solutions in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces.
摘要Digital technology transforms and represents intangible cultural heritage(ICH)into shareable and reproducible digital forms,exerting a profound impact through digital platforms on its inheritance and development,which traditionally rely on immediacy and physical presence.Against the backdrop of the internet and accelerated social mobility,in which the fluidity of time and space has become a hallmark of modern society,the platform logic of digital ICH serves as a critical lens to examine the phenomena of“disembedding”and“re-embedding”in the digital era.From the perspective of“disembedding,”digital platforms facilitate the spatiotemporal displacement of ICH’s living spaces,the multidimensional expansion of ICH discourse narratives,and the popularization of regional group cultures.From the perspective of“re-embedding,”influenced by factors such as national strategic guidance,the prevalence of digital platforms,the rise of cultural consumption,and the awakening of local cultural consciousness,digital ICH undergoes value reconstruction in its contemporary inheritance and development.It transforms from remnants of lived experience into capital,culture,and emotion that resonate with contemporary individuals,thereby“re-embedding”into the daily lives of the public and achieving dynamic inheritance and development in the context of the new era.

摘要Current practices in the digital activation of cultural heritage often remain confined to morphological replication and technology-driven preservation,leaving their value orientation insufficiently defined.Genuine activation should move beyond the superficial layer of digital preservation and toward a deeper evolution in which value symbiosis becomes the ultimate horizon.The construction of cultural heritage digital activation follows a threefold value progression from digital preservation(form),through narrative reconstruction(meaning),to value symbiosis(spirit).Its vitality derives from a creative dialogue between the heritage’s spiritual connotations and contemporary society and individuals,ultimately fostering a mutually nourishing cultural ecology.The fundamental impetus for this shift lies in a design turn:Design thinking must move from an object-centered orientation to a relation-building logic,from information transmission to emotional resonance and meaning-making,and from closed production to open co-creation.This design-driven model offers a systematic theoretical pathway for the spiritual inheritance and value innovation of cultural heritage in the digital age.

摘要Quantum linear equation solvers generate a solution vector that sits in a subspace of the quantum computer’s larger state space.Accessing the solution vector relies on applying measurement projectors that remove components in the orthogonal subspace.This study examines the probability that the projectors are successful and how the success probability is influenced by the properties of the linear system,e.g.,the matrix condition number,and approximations made in the quantum solver.The analysis is performed within a non-linear computational fluid dynamics code where,at each iteration,a linearised system is passed to an emulated quantum solver.The linear systems are solved using quantum singular value transformation,for which the accuracy of the matrix inversion polynomial can be controlled via user input.The results show that success probabilities vary between 10−6and 10−2for the cases considered.More accurate approximations have lower success probabilities and require longer circuits.Less accurate approximations are analysed and show that variations during the non-linear iterations are related to the eigen content of the right-hand side vector.The use of amplitude amplification is shown to be able to increase success probabilities from 10−6to 10−2,in accordance with theory,but at a cost of a 100 times increase in circuit depth.Whilst these results are specific to the fluid flow test cases,they are generalisable to other types of linear solvers.

摘要Extreme traffic loads significantly challenge the safety and cost-effectiveness of highway bridges,especially under site-specific traffic conditions.Conventional assessments often rely on overly conservative load models,leading to excessive structural design.In this study,a framework for the prediction of maximum bending moments in simply supported bridges is developed by integrating weigh-in-motion(WIM)data,traffic microsimulation,and generalized extreme value(GEV)regression modeling to establish relationships between the GEV parameters(μ,σ,ξ)and traffic factors—heavy vehicle proportion,bridge span length,vehicle speed,headway,and traffic volume.Using one-year WIM data from 7.4 million vehicles,the developed models for μ and σ exhibit high predictive accuracy(R2>0.95)and are validated through leave-one-out cross-validation.The prediction of ξ is less accurate(R2≈0.6),requiring further improvement.Applying these models to a 1000-year return level yields a reliable,data-driven extrapolation,supporting optimized bridge design and safety assessment under varying traffic conditions.
摘要BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)prognosis is influenced by tumor burden,liver function,performance status,and systemic inflammation.Conventional prognostic systems such as the albumin-bilirubin(ALBI)and model for end-stage liver disease-sodium(MELD-Na)scores mainly reflect hepatic functional reserve but may not adequately capture the host inflammatory response.AIM To evaluate the prognostic significance of the pan-immune-inflammation value(PIV)compared with ALBI and MELD-Na scores in patients with HCC.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included 97 patients diagnosed with HCC and treated at the Medical Oncology Department of Ankara Etlik City Hospital between September 2022 and September 2025.Overall survival(OS)was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier survival analysis,Cox regression models,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis.Univariate and multivariable Cox regression analyses were performed to identify independent prognostic factors,and optimal cut-off values were determined using the Youden index.RESULTS Median follow-up was 10 months,and 58 deaths occurred.In univariate analysis,Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)performance status,Barcelona clinic liver cancer stage,cirrhosis,treatment modality,ALBI,MELD-Na score,and PIV were significantly associated with OS(all P<0.05).In multivariable Cox regression analysis,ECOG performance status(P<0.001)and PIV(P=0.016)remained independent prognostic factors.ROC analysis demonstrated that PIV had the highest discriminatory ability for predicting OS(AUC=0.794,P<0.001),followed by ALBI(AUC=0.781,P<0.001),alpha-fetoprotein(AUC=0.712,P<0.001),and MELD-Na(AUC=0.699,P=0.001).Patients with high PIV had significantly poorer survival,with a median OS of 5 months compared with 30 months in the low-PIV group.CONCLUSION These findings demonstrate that PIV provides superior prognostic performance compared with conventional liver function-based scores and may serve as a robust biomarker for risk stratification in patients with HCC.

摘要BACKGROUND Post-intervention depression with psychotic features represents a severe complication in cerebrovascular intervention that substantially impedes recovery and quality of life.Growing evidence implicates neuroinflammation as a key pathophysiological mechanism linking procedural stress,ischemia-reperfusion injury,and the development of post-procedural neuropsychiatric sequelae.Identifying reliable biomarkers for early risk stratification is crucial for preemptive management.AIM To investigate the value of human chitinase-3-like protein 1(YKL-40/CHI3L1),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,and interleukin-6 in predicting psychotic complications of postoperative depression following cerebrovascular intervention.METHODS General patient data from 94 patients who underwent cerebrovascular intervention and serum levels of YKL-40,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,and interleukin-6 measured preoperatively and on postoperative day 1,days 3,and days 7 were collected and compared between the two groups.Multivariate logistic regression identified independent risk factors for psychotic complications.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis evaluated the predictive efficacy of each inflammatory marker,and the correlation between inflammatory marker levels and psychiatric assessment scale scores was analyzed.RESULTS Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses identified YKL-40 levels on postoperative day 3,National Institute of Health Stroke Scale scores on postoperative day 7,and intraoperative complications as independent risk factors for postoperative depressive disorder with psychotic complications(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis indicated that the inflammatory markers measured on postoperative day 3 had the highest predictive value.Among them,YKL-40 had the largest area under the curve of 0.892(95%confidence interval:0.821-0.963),with an optimal cut-off value of 156.4 ng/mL,yielding a sensitivity of 85.7%and a specificity of 84.8%.Spearman correlation analysis revealed that YKL-40 levels on postoperative day 3 in the complication group were significantly positively correlated with both Hamilton Depression Rating Scale-17 scores(r=0.612,P<0.001)and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale positive subscale scores(r=0.584,P<0.001).CONCLUSION YKL-40 demonstrated good predictive efficacy for psychotic complications of depression following cerebrovascular intervention.Dynamic monitoring of YKL-40 can facilitate early identification of high-risk patients and enable timely,effective interventions.

摘要The unique regulatory effect of pH on electrostatic interactions offers a powerful approach for manipulating and separating singlestranded DNA(ssDNA)molecules.In this study,we employ Langevin dynamics simulations to investigate the translocation dynamics of two ssDNAs,poly(dA)and poly(dT),through a silicon nitride nanopore under acidic conditions.The key distinction between the two chains is their different pH-dependent protonation.At low pH,the highly protonated adenine bases experience repulsive interactions from the similarly protonated nanopore surface and the retarding force from the external voltage,whereas neutral thymine bases do not.Consequently,compared to poly(dT),poly(dA)exhibits a lower capture probability and slower translocation speed under strongly acidic conditions.However,the difference in the translocation behaviors between the two chains gradually diminishes as the pH increases.Based on their distinct pH-dependent behaviors,poly(dA)and poly(dT)of identical length can be successfully separated through the translocation strategy at low pH,even when they are initially mixed on the same side of the nanopore.
摘要Missing data remain a persistent challenge in statistical analysis and machine learning because many predictive methods require complete observations.Generative Adversarial Imputation Networks(GAIN)offer a flexible deep-learning approach for missing value imputation,but their practical use is limited by convergence instability,sensitivity to hyperparameter selection,and dependence on outdated software implementations.To address these limitations,we propose Enhanced Generative Adversarial Imputation Networks(EGAIN),a modernized extension of GAIN implemented in TensorFlow 2.x.EGAIN incorporates convolution-based generator and discriminator networks,a channel-stacked representation of the data and mask,and checkpoint-based training diagnostics to improve stability and usability.EGAIN was evaluated on five benchmark datasets under multiple Missing Completely At Random(MCAR)settings and compared with the original GAIN implementation and median imputation.Across most evaluated conditions,EGAIN achieved lower root mean squared error(RMSE)and showed greater robustness,particularly when missingness was concentrated in a subset of variables.These results indicate that EGAIN provides a more stable and reproducible framework for missing data imputation in tabular datasets.
