In order to reconstruct the evolution process and characterize the fragments’motion of the debris cloud,the space and velocity field models of debris cloud generated by a hypervelocity disk projectile impacting a thin plate are developed by using the shock wave theory in this study.To obtain the characteristic velocity of the debris cloud accurately,shock wave loading and isentropic unloading are considered.In particular,the effect of the isentropic unloading of rarefaction wave on particle velocity is considered based on the Bless model.The difference in particle velocity between shock wave loading and rarefaction wave isentropic unloading is calculated for oxygen-free high-conductivity copper(used as projectile material)and Al 6061-T6(used as bumper material)considering different shock pressure values.To solve the characteristic velocity of the debris cloud,a modified isentropic unloading model is developed.Then,based on the self-similarity assumption and modified isentropic unloading model,the structural contour function of the debris cloud at a stable expansion stage is introduced to establish the space and velocity field models.Furthermore,numerical simulation using smooth particle hydrodynamics is conducted to verify and analyze the model results.The spray angle of the debris cloud and contour map of the velocity of particles in the cloud are obtained.Finally,the evolution process of the debris cloud is reconstructed,and the motion characteristics of the fragments in the cloud are quantitatively described. 展开更多

This paper addresses the verification of strong currentstate opacity with respect to real-time observations generated from a discrete-event system that is modeled with time labeled Petri nets. The standard current-state opacity cannot completely characterize higher-level security. To ensure the higher-level security requirements of a time-dependent system, we propose a strong version of opacity known as strong current-state opacity. For any path(state-event sequence with time information)π derived from a real-time observation that ends at a secret state, the strong current-state opacity of the real-time observation signifies that there is a non-secret path with the same real-time observation as π. We propose general and non-secret state class graphs, which characterize the general and non-secret states of time-dependent systems, respectively. To capture the observable behavior of non-secret states, a non-secret observer is proposed.Finally, we develop a structure called a real-time concurrent verifier to verify the strong current-state opacity of time labeled Petri nets. This approach is efficient since the real-time concurrent verifier can be constructed by solving a certain number of linear programming problems. 展开更多

This paper exploits multi-modal Physical(PHY)-layer features in terms of artificial fingerprint,In-phase/Quadrature(IQ)imbalance and Angle of Arrival(AoA)to propose a novel PHY-layer authentication framework for a Millimeter Wave(mmWave)Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO)Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)-enabled communication system.First,we resort to the AoA-based spatial fingerprint to effectively address the challenge of channel fingerprint instability induced by high-speed UAV mobility.To further enhance the low discriminability of hardware fingerprints caused by refined manufacturing techniques,artificial Gaussian noise is injected into the transmission signals to assist the receiver in better distinguishing between legitimate and illegitimate UAVs.Then,we jointly combine with inherent IQ imbalance and AoA features to design a hybrid authentication scheme and thus construct a multi-dimensional fingerprint space for a comprehensive characterization of UAV identities.To theoretically evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed authentication framework,the analytical closed-form expressions of performance metrics like false alarm and detection probabilities are also exactly derived based on the statistical signal processing technology and composite hypothesis testing.Finally,we provide large simulation results to validate the correctness and feasibility of the proposed theoretical models,and also discuss the relation between system security and communication service quality under different artificial fingerprint level. 展开更多

We investigate the effects of projectile material on high-speed penetration/perforation of Inconel 718 alloy(IN718)plates.High-speed ballistic impact tests are conducted on 2 mm-thickness IN718 plates with 5-mm-diameter stainless steel 304(SS304),Ti alloy TC4,and Al alloy AA1060 spherical projectiles.The impact processes are captured with high-speed photography.Optical and scanning electron microscopy and laser scan are conducted on recovered projectiles and targets.Finite element models of the ballistic impact are established based on the coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm with the Johnson-Cook constitutive model and failure criterion,and can well reproduce the experimental results.The experimental and simulated data related to projectile dynamics,and the geometries of postmortem projectiles and bullet holes are analyzed with phenomenological models.Projectile velocity evolution can be described with hydrodynamic models of penetration.Dimensional analysis reveals a universal relationship between the bullet hole expansion coefficient and the normalized dynamic pressure,regardless of the projectile material.However,the projectile material does affect projectile deformation,bullet hole size,and energy absorption of target. 展开更多

This article examines wafer lots scheduling in the diffusion area in semiconductor manufacturing.The diffusion area comprises multiple tool groups.Each of them contains non-identical semiconductor tools.All tools can process multiple wafer lots simultaneously,and wafer lots processed together in a tool are called a wafer batch.Besides,each wafer lot has specific queue time limits(QTLs)between consecutive processing operations,making the scheduling problem more complicated.To solve it,a discrete backtracking search optimization algorithm(DBSA)is designed for optimizing both wafer lot assignments and wafer batch processing sequences.Once the processing sequence of wafer batches at each tool is determined,a linear program(LP)is built to obtain optimal starting and completion time points of wafer batches while satisfying QTLs.If a schedule is examined to have no feasible solution by the LP,a proposed approach is used to regroup wafer lots to form wafer batches and adjust their processing sequences to potentially make it feasible.Extensive experiments show that DBSA reliably produces feasible schedules and outperforms GA,MixPSO,and GWO,with up to 17.75%,19.19%,and 9.21%reductions in average cycle time,respectively,demonstrating its superiority in both solution quality and practical applicability. 展开更多

Body armor prevents projectile penetration,but thoracic visceral injury may still result from pressure wave transmission and back-face deformation.However,thoracic responses to single and multiple impacts remain insufficiently understood,numerical human thoracic models need further validation,and load transfer between the rib cage and cardiopulmonary system remains unclear.Therefore,this study combined live-fire blunt-impact tests on a biomimetic thoracic target with a human thoracic finite element model with filled thoracic cavity gaps.Load transfer and cardiopulmonary responses under non-penetrating rifle-bullet impact were investigated using a SiC/UHMWPE composite ballistic insert.The results showed that,first,under a single impact,the right-lung pressure fluctuated rapidly in the initial stage,then entered an oscillatory process and gradually tended to stabilize;under multiple impacts,the peak right-lung pressure exhibited nonlinear fluctuation characteristics.Second,after the thoracic visceral organs were encapsulated with soft-tissue materials,the model was validated,and the continuity of internal load transfer was significantly enhanced.Third,during the initial establishment stage of back-plate deformation,the displacement responses of the sternum,costal cartilage,and cardiopulmonary tissues could be described by a linear–exponential function;after significant compression of the back plate occurred,the stress responses of the rib cage,right lung,and heart conformed to the characteristics of a power–exponential composite function.Finally,the pressure peak on the posterior side of the sternum was only 39.3%of that on the impact-facing surface;relative to the rib cage,the stress peaks in the right lung and heart were attenuated by 65.3%and 82.2%,respectively,indicating that the protection of cardiopulmonary visceral organs by the rib cage was mainly achieved through the synergistic effect of rigid shielding by the sternum and flexible energy dissipation by the costal cartilage.The research results can provide references for the back-plate stiffness design of ballistic inserts,optimization of buffer-layer structures,and assessment of thoracic blunt injury risk. 展开更多

Discrete wavelet transform(DWT)algorithm is an encryption algorithm based on wavelet transform for frequency decomposition of signals or images on multiple scales.Based on the Loongson 2K processor platform,the audio,picture and video information as carriers to encrypt and decrypt the watermark information is realized by integrating and stacking the watermark detection functions on the processor platform of the switching nodes in the off-chain communication network within blockchain systems,using the sliding window mechanism of Loongson 2K to control the smoothness of the digital information,and by multi-thread mechanism of the processor to control the real-time performance of the digital signal transmission.The performance of the least significant bit(LSB)algorithm,discrete cosine transform(DCT)algorithm,and DWT algorithm is analyzed.The performance comparison of LSB algorithm,DCT algorithm,and DWT algorithm under filtering attack,scaling attack,noise attack,cropping attack,and spin attack is simulated respectively.The experimental results show that,filtered attack normalized correlation(NC)coefficient for DWT is 0.95786,for scaled attack is 0.98962,for noise attack is 0.93842,spin attack NC is 0.86823,and clipped attack NC is 0.878814.The DWT algorithm has the small image distortion rate,is more robust to audio and video watermarking against attack effects,and the experimental data are superior to the LSB and DCT algorithms.Using Loongson 2K multi-threading mode to control the real-time data transmission,greatly improves the practicability of DWT algorithm on embedded devices,which can be effectively applied to authenticity verification when media data such as images and audio are uploaded to the blockchain. 展开更多

A cyber physical system(CPS)is a complex system that integrates sensing,computation,control and networking into physical processes and objects over Internet.It plays a key role in modern industry since it connects physical and cyber worlds.In order to meet ever-changing industrial requirements,its structures and functions are constantly improved.Meanwhile,new security issues have arisen.A ubiquitous problem is the fact that cyber attacks can cause significant damage to industrial systems,and thus has gained increasing attention from researchers and practitioners.This paper presents a survey of state-of-the-art results of cyber attacks on cyber physical systems.First,as typical system models are employed to study these systems,time-driven and event-driven systems are reviewed.Then,recent advances on three types of attacks,i.e.,those on availability,integrity,and confidentiality are discussed.In particular,the detailed studies on availability and integrity attacks are introduced from the perspective of attackers and defenders.Namely,both attack and defense strategies are discussed based on different system models.Some challenges and open issues are indicated to guide future research and inspire the further exploration of this increasingly important area. 展开更多

Yet there are some obstacles and concerns about the use of clouds. Guaranteeing quality of service QoS by service providers can be regarded as one of the main concerns for companies tending to use it. Service provisioning in clouds is based on service level agreements representing a contract negotiated between users and providers. According to this contract, if a provider cannot satisfy its agreed application requirements, it should pay penalties as compensation. This paper investigates the consensus problem for linear multi-agent systems with the heterogeneous disturbances generated by the Brown motion.Its main contribution is that a control scheme is designed to achieve the dynamic consensus for the multi-agent systems in directed topology interfered by stochastic noise.In traditional ways,the coupling weights depending on the communication structure are static.A new distributed controller is designed based on Riccati inequalities,while updating the coupling weights associated with the gain matrix by state errors between adjacent agents.By introducing time-varying coupling weights into this novel control law,the state errors between leader and followers asymptotically converge to the minimum value utilizing the local interaction.Through the Lyapunov directed method and It?formula,the stability of the closed-loop system with the proposed control law is analyzed.Two simulation results conducted by the new and traditional schemes are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantage of the developed control method. 展开更多

This paper highlights the utilization of parallel control and adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) for event-triggered robust parallel optimal consensus control(ETRPOC) of uncertain nonlinear continuous-time multiagent systems(MASs).First, the parallel control system, which consists of a virtual control variable and a specific auxiliary variable obtained from the coupled Hamiltonian, allows general systems to be transformed into affine systems. Of interest is the fact that the parallel control technique's introduction provides an unprecedented perspective on eliminating the negative effects of disturbance. Then, an eventtriggered mechanism is adopted to save communication resources while ensuring the system's stability. The coupled HamiltonJacobi(HJ) equation's solution is approximated using a critic neural network(NN), whose weights are updated in response to events. Furthermore, theoretical analysis reveals that the weight estimation error is uniformly ultimately bounded(UUB). Finally,numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed ETRPOC method. 展开更多

As a novel lightweight metallic material with excellent heat and corrosion resistance,elastic disordered microporous metal rubber(EDMMR)functions as an effective damping and support element in high-temperature environments where traditional polymer rubber fails.In this paper,a multi-scale finite element model for EDMMR is constructed using virtual manufacturing technology(VMT).Thermo-mechanical coupling analysis reveals a distinct inward expansion and dissipation phenomenon in EDMMR under high-temperature conditions,distinguishing it from porous materials.This phenomenon has the potential to impact the overall dimensions of EDMMR through transmission and accumulation processes.The experimental results demonstrate a random distribution of internal micro springs in EDMMR,considering the contact composition of spring microelements and the pore structure.By incorporating material elasticity,a predictive method for the thermal expansion coefficient of EDMMR based on the Schapery model is proposed.Additionally,standardized processes are employed to manufacture multiple sets of cylindrical EDMMR samples with similar dimensions but varying porosities.Thermal expansion tests are conducted on these samples,and the accuracy of the predicted thermal expansion coefficient is quantitatively validated through residual analysis.This research indicates that EDMMR maintains good structural stability in high-temperature environments.The thermal expansion rate of the material exhibits an opposite trend to the variation of elastic modulus with temperature,as the porosity rate changes. 展开更多

The opaque property plays an important role in the operation of a security-critical system,implying that pre-defined secret information of the system is not able to be inferred through partially observing its behavior.This paper addresses the verification of current-state,initial-state,infinite-step,and K-step opacity of networked discrete event systems modeled by labeled Petri nets,where communication losses and delays are considered.Based on the symbolic technique for the representation of states in Petri nets,an observer and an estimator are designed for the verification of current-state and initial-state opacity,respectively.Then,we propose a structure called an I-observer that is combined with secret states to verify whether a networked discrete event system is infinite-step opaque or K-step opaque.Due to the utilization of symbolic approaches for the state-based opacity verification,the computation of the reachability graphs of labeled Petri nets is avoided,which dramatically reduces the computational overheads stemming from networked discrete event systems. 展开更多

To improve the slow kinetics and poor mechanical strength of aqueous silver peroxide−aluminum(AgO−Al)battery cathode materials,the effects of different binders including polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)and polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)on the AgO cathode material were investigated.The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),cyclic voltammetry(CV),electrochemical impedance spectrum(EIS),and galvanostatic discharge.In contrast to the pure AgO and AgO−PTFE electrodes,the results demonstrated that the PVP effectively bound the electrode materials together.The prepared AgO−PVP as the cathode material of AgO−Al batteries could improve the battery capacity,exhibiting a high specific capacity(389.95 mA·h/g at 500 mA/cm2),a high operating voltage(1.75 V at 500 mA/cm2),a maximum energy density(665.65 W·h/kg),and a maximum power density(5236 W/kg).Furthermore,the electrochemical mechanism of the AgO−PVP cathode material was examined,revealing that the electrode exhibited rapid ion diffusion and effective interfacial ion/electron transport. 展开更多

With the development of cyber-physical systems,system security faces more risks from cyber-attacks.In this work,we study the problem that an external attacker implements covert sensor and actuator attacks with resource constraints(the total resource consumption of the attacks is not greater than a given initial resource of the attacker)to mislead a discrete event system under supervisory control to reach unsafe states.We consider that the attacker can implement two types of attacks:One by modifying the sensor readings observed by a supervisor and the other by enabling the actuator commands disabled by the supervisor.Each attack has its corresponding resource consumption and remains covert.To solve this problem,we first introduce a notion of combined-attackability to determine whether a closedloop system may reach an unsafe state after receiving attacks with resource constraints.We develop an algorithm to construct a corrupted supervisor under attacks,provide a verification method for combined-attackability in polynomial time based on a plant,a corrupted supervisor,and an attacker's initial resource,and propose a corresponding attack synthesis algorithm.The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by an example. 展开更多
