The microstructure of the as-cast and thehot-rolled composite was investigated by using TEM, EDS, and SEM, and their tensile properties weremeasured at room temperature. The results show that the ultimate tensile strength and ultimateelongation of the hot-rolled composite are 80 percent and 140 percent higher than those of theas-cast one. The TEM observation result indicates that there are high density of dislocations anddislocation tangles in the hot-rolled composite. Al_2O_3 layers in the composite resulting from thesurface oxidation of the aluminum powders were damaged to spherical particles during hot rolling.All the results indicate that hot-rolling can improve the mechanical properties of the compositeand, therefore, engineering components of the 20 vol. percent SiC_p/Al composite can be produced bysqueeze casting followed by hot-rolling.展开更多

The authors designed the interconnecting network chips of ABC95 and realized a form of multi-function interconnection. The multi-function interconnecting network supports conflict-free access from processors to memory matrix and the MESH network of enhanced processors to processor communications. The segregation level ofphosphorus with solution temperature 1 050 ℃ at the isothermal holding temperature of 5401 , havebeen measured at grain-boundaries. A non-equilibrium grain-boundary segregation kinetics curve ofphosphorus is given. The critical time for phosphorus non-equilibrium grain-boundary segregation isabout 500h at 540 ℃ for the experimental steel. When the holding time is longer than 1 500 h ,non-equilibrium segregation disappears and the level of segregation reaches full equilibrium. Thesimulation using the kinetic equations of non-equilibrium grain-boundary segregation is in goodaccordance with the experimental observation for phosphorus in steel 12Crl MoV.
